Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] Wearers of absorbent articles may excrete feces that contain solids in addition to liquids such as urine. For this reason, absorbent articles are required to suppress a decrease in the feeling of wearing when the wearer excretes feces. In this regard, there is room for improvement in absorbent articles.
[0005] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing a decrease in the feeling of wearing when the wearer excretes feces.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] To solve the above problems, in the present invention, a separation sheet is provided on the skin surface side of the skin surface sheet.
[0007] Specifically, the present invention is an absorbent article having a length along a longitudinal direction and a width along a width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, comprising an absorber, a liquid-permeable skin-side sheet disposed on the skin side of the absorber, and a liquid-impermeable separation sheet disposed so as to include an anal corresponding region corresponding to the anus of the wearer on the skin side of the skin-side sheet and separated from the skin-side sheet so as to form a space therebetween, and one or more communication holes formed in the separation sheet and communicating the skin side with the space.
[0008] The absorbent article described above includes three-dimensional gathers disposed along both ends in the width direction of the skin-side sheet and extending in the longitudinal direction. The three-dimensional gathers have a fixed portion fixed to the skin-side sheet and a standing portion standing up from the fixed portion to the skin side. The end portion in the width direction of the separation sheet may be joined to the skin-side sheet between the fixed portion and the tip portion of the standing portion in a state where the standing portion is folded inward in the width direction.
[0009] In the worn state of the absorbent article, the standing portion stands up to the skin side with a standing line, which is a boundary between the fixed portion and the standing portion, as a boundary. The length of the separation sheet in the width direction may be the same as the distance between the standing lines on both sides, or may be shorter than the distance between the standing lines.
[0010] The length of the separation sheet in the width direction may be the same as the distance between the standing lines.
[0011] The separation sheet may have a first elastic member attached in a stretched state in the width direction.
[0012] The communication hole may be a cut formed in the separation sheet and extending in the longitudinal direction. It may also be.
[0013] The end portion of the separation sheet in the width direction may be intermittently joined to the skin-side sheet in the longitudinal direction.
[0014] The separation sheet may have a folded-back portion that is folded back toward the skin surface side on the abdominal side in the longitudinal direction.
[0015] The separation sheet may have a second elastic member that is attached in a stretched state in the width direction to the end portion on the back side in the longitudinal direction of the folded-back portion.
[0016] At least one end of the separation sheet in the longitudinal direction may be joined to the skin surface side sheet.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
[0019] Hereinafter, an absorbent article according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the configurations of the following embodiments are examples, and the present invention is not limited to the configurations of these embodiments.
[0020] <Embodiment> In the present embodiment, for a tape-type disposable diaper (an example of the "absorbent article" referred to in the present application, hereinafter simply referred to as "diaper"), the longitudinal direction is defined as the direction connecting the front body portion disposed facing the abdomen of the wearer and the back body portion disposed facing the back. Between these front body portions (one side in the longitudinal direction) and the back body portions (the other side in the longitudinal direction) (the center in the longitudinal direction), there is a crotch portion disposed (opposite to the crotch) under the crotch of the wearer. Further, in a state where the diaper is worn by the wearer (hereinafter abbreviated as "worn state"), the side facing the skin of the wearer (the inner side in the worn state) is defined as the skin side, and the side opposite to the skin side (the outer side in the worn state) is defined as the non-skin side. Furthermore, the direction connecting the skin side and the non-skin side is defined as the thickness direction, and the direction orthogonal to both the longitudinal direction and the thickness direction is defined as the width direction. In addition, viewing from the thickness direction is defined as a plan view.
[0021] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the diaper according to the present embodiment. The diaper 1 has a crotch region 1B that corresponds to the crotch portion covering the genital area of the wearer in the worn state, a front body region 1F that is located on the front side of the crotch region 1B and corresponds to the front body portion of the wearer, and a back body region 1R that is located on the rear side of the crotch region 1B and corresponds to the back body portion of the wearer. Tapes 2L and 2R that can be attached to a front patch 2F provided on the non-wearer side surface of the front body region 1F are provided at the left and right edges of the back body region 1R. When the tapes 2L and 2R are attached to the front patch 2F in a state where the front body region 1F is disposed on the abdominal side of the wearer and the back body region 1R is disposed on the back side of the wearer, the diaper 1 is fixed to the body of the wearer in a state of surrounding the abdominal circumference and thigh portions of the wearer. Since the diaper 1 is fixed to the body of the wearer in such a form, the wearer can walk around while wearing the diaper 1.
[0022] In the diaper 1, an absorbent capable of absorbing and retaining liquid is mainly disposed near the crotch region 1B. In addition, in order to prevent the formation of a gap between the diaper 1 and the wearer's skin that can be a liquid outflow path, the diaper 1 is provided with leg gathers 3AL, 3AR at a portion surrounding the wearer's legs (thighs), and three-dimensional gathers 3BL, 3BR are provided on the inner side of the leg gathers 3AL, 3AR in the width direction of the diaper 1, and a waist gather 3R is provided at a portion surrounding the wearer's abdominal circumference. The leg gathers 3AL, 3AR, the three-dimensional gathers 3BL, 3BR, and the waist gathers 3R are in close contact with the wearer's skin by the elastic force of the elastic members. Therefore, liquid discharged from the wearer's private parts is absorbed by the absorbent of the diaper 1 without leaking out of the diaper 1. As the elastic member, a thread-like or strip-like rubber or the like can be appropriately selected.
[0023] FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the diaper 1. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the diaper 1 when not worn, cut in the width direction at the center in the longitudinal direction. FIG. 4 is a plan view of the diaper 1 when stretched, viewed from the skin-facing side. The diaper 1 has a cover sheet 4 that forms an outer surface when worn. The cover sheet 4 is a sheet-like member having a substantially rectangular appearance with constrictions 4KL, 4KR at the portions corresponding to the long sides, and forms the exterior surface of the diaper 1. The constrictions 4KL, 4KR are provided at the portions where the wearer's thighs are located (leg surrounding regions 10L, 10R shown in FIG. 4). The cover sheet 4 is provided to reinforce the back sheet 5 described later and to improve the feel. For example, a nonwoven fabric made of a liquid-impermeable thermoplastic resin can be used as the material for the cover sheet 4 in order to suppress leakage of excrement. Examples of liquid-impermeable thermoplastic resins include polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). The cover sheet 4 is not limited to a single-layer structure, but may be a multi-layer structure having an inner cover sheet and an outer cover sheet.
[0024] The diaper 1 has a backsheet 5 (non-skin side sheet), an absorber 6C, and a topsheet 7 (an example of the "skin side sheet" in the present application), which are laminated in this order on the skin side of the cover sheet 4. The backsheet 5, the absorber 6C, and the topsheet 7 are all sheet-like members having a substantially rectangular appearance, and are laminated on the cover sheet 4 in a state where the longitudinal direction coincides with the longitudinal direction of the cover sheet 4. The backsheet 5 is a sheet formed of a liquid-impermeable thermoplastic resin as a material to suppress leakage of excrement, similar to the cover sheet 4. The backsheet 5 is preferably composed of a material having moisture permeability in order to suppress stuffiness in the worn state. The topsheet 7 is a sheet-like member disposed on the skin side of the wearer so as to cover the water-absorbing surface of the absorber 6C. This topsheet 7 has liquid permeability in part or all of it. Therefore, in the worn state of the diaper 1, the liquid excreted from the wearer enters the absorber 6C through the topsheet 7 that can come into contact with the wearer's skin and is absorbed there. For example, woven fabric, non-woven fabric, and porous film can be used as the material of the topsheet 7. The topsheet 7 may have hydrophilicity. The absorber 6C is disposed including the crotch region 1B.
[0025] The backsheet 5, the absorber 6C, and the topsheet 7 all extend from the front body region 1F to the back body region 1R. Therefore, when the crotch of the wearer is covered with the cover sheet 4 on which the backsheet 5, the absorber 6C, and the topsheet 7 are laminated, both end portions in the longitudinal direction of the backsheet 5, the absorber 6C, and the topsheet 7 are in a state of being located on the ventral side and the dorsal side of the wearer. That is, the crotch of the wearer is in a state of being covered with the absorber 6C from the ventral side to the dorsal side of the wearer. Therefore, no matter whether the wearer discharges liquid outside the body in a posture with the belly facing downward or a posture with the back facing downward, the discharged liquid comes into contact with the absorber 6C through the topsheet 7.
[0026] In addition, the diaper 1 is provided with elastic members 4SL and 4SR for forming the leg gathers 3AL and 3AR described above so as to stretch in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1 between the cover sheet 4 and the back sheet 5. The elastic members 4SL and 4SR are provided in an appropriate number (three in this embodiment) determined according to the elastic force (contracting force) required in the design of the diaper 1 and the like. As shown in FIG. 4, the leg gathers 3AL and 3AR are arranged including the leg circumferential regions which are the parts of the diaper 1 at both ends in the width direction of the crotch region 1B where the wearer's thighs are located. The leg circumferential regions 10L and 10R are arranged at both ends in the width direction of the crotch region 1B. Further, the arrangement regions of the elastic members 4SL and 4SR are the leg gathers 3AL and 3AR.
[0027] In addition, the diaper 1 has elongated strip-shaped side sheets 8L and 8R. The side sheets 8L and 8R are liquid-impermeable sheets provided at the long-side portions of the top sheet 7. Similar to the cover sheet 4, the side sheets 8L and 8R are provided with constrictions 8KL and 8KR at the parts where the wearer's thighs are located (the leg circumferential regions 10L and 10R shown in FIG. 4). And elastic members 8EL and 8ER for forming three-dimensional gathers 3BL and 3BR are arranged along the longitudinal direction on the side sheets 8L and 8R. When the diaper 1 is in the worn state, that is, when the diaper 1 is in a U-shaped form in side view, the side sheets 8L and 8R are pulled in the longitudinal direction by the contracting force of the elastic members 8EL and 8ER and rise from the top sheet 7 to become the three-dimensional gathers 3BL and 3BR that prevent the outflow of liquid.
[0028] In addition, an elastic member 4C for preventing a gap from being formed between the diaper 1 and the wearer's abdominal circumference is provided along the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1 inside the width direction of the diaper 1 rather than the elastic members 4SL and 4SR. The elastic member 4C is provided according to the elastic force (contracting force) required in the design of the diaper 1 and the like.
[0029] Also, the elastic member 9ER for forming the waist gather 3R described above is provided between the back sheet 5 and the top sheet 7 at a position further dorsal than the end of the absorber 6C. The elastic member 9ER is provided between the back sheet 5 and the top sheet 7 with its longitudinal direction, which is the stretching and contracting direction, oriented in the left - right direction of the diaper 1. Therefore, when the tapes 2L and 2R provided on both the left and right sides of the elastic member 9ER are adhered to the front patch 2F on the ventral side of the wearer, the elastic member 9ER exerts a contracting force to closely adhere the diaper 1 to the wearer, preventing a gap from being formed between the diaper 1 and the wearer's abdominal circumference.
[0030] The absorber 6C has a structure in which granular absorbent resin such as SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer), which is a hydrophilic polymer having a cross - linked structure capable of absorbing and retaining water, is held in the gaps between short fibers of cellulosic fibers such as pulp fibers, rayon fibers, or cotton fibers, or short fibers of synthetic fibers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, or polyethylene terephthalate that have been hydrophilically treated. Therefore, in the absorber 6C, the volume change of the absorbent resin before and after absorbing liquid basically occurs within the short fibers that hold the absorbent resin in the gaps. Therefore, looking at the entire absorber 6C from above, it can be said that the expansion rate of the thickness of the absorber 6C that has absorbed liquid is not as large as the expansion rate of the absorbent resin itself.
[0031] The SAP particles of the present embodiment refer to those in which a resin composition containing SAP is formed into a granular shape. The "resin composition containing SAP" mentioned here is a concept that includes both a composition consisting only of SAP and a composition having SAP as the main component and containing other substances to such an extent that it does not adversely affect water absorption. Examples of the "other substances" include additives (such as surface modifiers added for the purpose of hydrophobizing the particle surface) and unreacted monomers remaining during the synthesis of SAP.
[0032] Further, the diaper 1 according to the present embodiment includes a separation sheet 20 disposed so as to include an anus corresponding region KR (a region surrounded by a dotted line in FIG. 4) corresponding to the anus of the wearer on the skin side of the top sheet 7. The separation sheet 20 is a non-liquid-permeable (liquid-impervious) sheet-like member having a substantially rectangular shape. The separation sheet 20 is separated from the top sheet 7 so as to form a space therebetween.
[0033] Also, three-dimensional gathers 3BL and 3BR formed by side sheets 8L and 8R and elastic members 8EL and 8ER are disposed along both ends in the width direction of the top sheet 7 and extend in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1. The three-dimensional gathers 3BL and 3BR have a fixing portion 30 fixed to the top sheet 7 and standing portions 31L and 31R standing up from the fixing portions 30L and 30R toward the skin side. The fixing portions 30L and 30R are portions where the side sheets 8L and 8R are joined to the back sheet 5 and the cover sheet 4 outside the top sheet 7 and the top sheet 7. A hot melt adhesive is used for these joints. The standing portions 31L and 31R are located closer to the inner side in the width direction of the diaper 1 than the fixing portions 30L and 30R, and are portions that stand up toward the skin side by the contraction force of the elastic members 8EL and 8ER in the worn state of the diaper 1. The boundaries between the fixing portions 30L and 30R and the standing portions 31L and 31R become standing lines 32L and 32R that are the standing starting points of the standing portions 31L and 31R. The standing portions 31L and 31R can stand up toward the skin side with the standing lines 32L and 32R, which are the boundaries between the fixing portions 30L and 30R and the standing portions 31L and 31R, as the boundaries.
[0034] The end portions of the separation sheet 20 in the width direction of the diaper 1 are joined to the top sheet 7 between the fixing portions 30L and 30R and the tip portions of the standing portions 31L and 31R in a state where the standing portions 31L and 31R are folded inward in the width direction. Note that the separation sheet 20 is not joined to the top sheet 7 at both end portions in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1. The separation sheet 20 forms a space between itself and the top sheet 7 when the end portions in the width direction of the diaper 1 are joined to the top sheet 7. Note that the tip portions of the standing portions 31L and 31R are the portions where the elastic members 8EL and 8ER are disposed. Also, in the present embodiment, the length of the separation sheet 20 in the width direction of the diaper 1 is the same as the distance between the standing lines 31L and 31R. Note that the length of the separation sheet 20 in the width direction of the diaper 1 may be shorter than the distance between the standing lines 31L and 31R on both sides. As a result, three-dimensional gathers 3BL and 3BR are disposed on the end portion side in the width direction of the diaper in the space formed between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7. For this reason, the end portion side in the width direction of the space can be covered with the three-dimensional gathers 3BL and 3BR.
[0035] Further, the diaper 1 includes communication holes 21 formed in the separation sheet 20 and communicating the skin surface side of the separation sheet 20 and the space formed between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7. The communication holes 21 are cuts formed in the separation sheet 20 and extending in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1. In the present embodiment, a plurality of communication holes 21 are formed, but only one communication hole 21 may be formed. Also, the arrangement pattern of the plurality of communication holes 21 can be set as appropriate.
[0036] When the wearer discharges watery feces containing solids with respect to the diaper 1 according to the present embodiment, the watery feces rest on the liquid-impermeable separation sheet 20, and the watery feces move through the communication holes into the space between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7. The moisture of the watery feces passes through the top sheet 7 and is absorbed and retained by the absorber 6C. Also, the solids of the watery feces are retained in the space. Thus, the diaper 1 according to the present embodiment prevents the solids of the watery feces from touching the skin of the wearer. For this reason, the diaper 1 according to the present embodiment can suppress a decrease in the wearing feeling when the wearer discharges feces.
[0037] <Modification Example 1> Next, the diaper 1 according to Modification Example 1 of the present embodiment will be described. FIG. 5 is a plan view of the diaper 1 in an extended state as viewed from the skin side. In FIG. 5, the illustration of the elastic members 4C, 4SL, 4SR, 8EL, and 8ER is omitted. In the diaper 1 according to this modification, the separation sheet 20 has an elastic member 22 (an example of the "first elastic member" in the present application) attached in a stretched state in the width direction of the diaper 1. The elastic member 22 is provided in an appropriate number (three in this modification) determined according to the required elastic force (contracting force) and the like. Note that, for the elastic member 22, a thread-like or belt-like rubber or the like can be appropriately selected.
[0038] In this modification, due to the elastic force of the elastic member 22, the separation sheet 20 contracts, and thus a space is likely to be formed between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7. The diaper 1 according to this modification can suppress a decrease in the wearing feeling when the wearer excretes feces by holding the solids contained in the watery feces in this space.
[0039] Further, when watery feces are placed on the separation sheet 20, the elastic member 22 stretches due to the weight, and the communication hole 21 expands due to this stretching force. Therefore, it is possible to easily move the watery feces to the non-skin side (space side) of the separation sheet 20 through the communication hole 21. Further, when the watery feces move from the separation sheet 20 to the space between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7, the load of the watery feces applied to the separation sheet 20 disappears or the load becomes small. Therefore, the elastic member 22 contracts. Since the communication hole 21 shrinks due to this contracting force, the diaper 1 can prevent the solids of the watery feces held in the space from touching the skin of the wearer through the communication hole 21 and suppress a decrease in the wearing feeling.
[0040] <Modification Example 2> Next, the diaper 1 according to Modification 2 of the present embodiment will be described. FIG. 6 is a plan view of the diaper 1 in the extended state as viewed from the skin side. Note that in FIG. 6, the elastic members 4C, 4SL, 4SR, 8EL, and 8ER are not shown. In the diaper 1 according to this modification, the end portions of the separation sheet 20 in the width direction of the diaper 1 are intermittently joined to the top sheet 7 in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1. In FIG. 6, the joint portion between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7 is shown by a thick line and denoted by reference numeral S1. Hereinafter, the joint portion represented by S1 will be referred to as joint portion S1. Between the intermittent joint portions S1, the skin side of the separation sheet 20 and the space between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7 communicate with each other. By causing the space between the joint portions S1 to function in the same manner as the communication hole 21, watery feces can be moved from the space between the joint portions S1 to the space. In the present embodiment, the joint portions S1 are provided at four locations on one side in the width direction (eight locations on both sides), but the joint portions S1 may be provided at necessary locations.
[0041] <Modification 3> Next, the diaper 1 according to Modification 3 of the present embodiment will be described. FIG. 7 is a plan view of the diaper 1 in the extended state as viewed from the skin side. Note that in FIG. 7, the elastic members 4C, 4SL, 4SR, 8EL, and 8ER are not shown. In the diaper 1 according to this modification, the separation sheet 20 has a folded-back portion 23 that is folded back toward the skin side on the abdominal side in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1. The separation sheet 20 can suppress the movement of watery feces on the separation sheet 20 toward the abdominal side (the front body region 1F side) by the folded-back portion 23. Note that the folded-back portion 23 may be formed by folding the separation sheet 20, which is a single sheet material, or may be formed by joining a sheet material separate from the separation sheet 20 to the separation sheet 20.
[0042] <Modification 4> Next, the diaper 1 according to Modification 4 of the present embodiment will be described. FIG. 8 is a plan view of the diaper 1 in an extended state as viewed from the skin side. Note that in FIG. 8, the elastic members 4C, 4SL, 4SR, 8EL, and 8ER are not shown. In the diaper 1 according to this modification, the separation sheet 20 is disposed on the end side on the back side of the folded portion 23 in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1, and has an elastic member 24 (an example of the "second elastic member" in the present application) attached in a stretched state in the width direction of the diaper 1. In the diaper 1 according to this modification, due to the contraction force of the elastic member 24, the end on the back side of the folded portion 23 stands up on the skin side, and it is possible to further suppress the movement of the watery stool on the separation sheet 20 to the abdominal side (the front body region 1F side). Note that for the elastic member 24, a thread-like or belt-like rubber or the like can be appropriately selected.
[0043] <Modification 5> Next, the diaper 1 according to Modification 5 of the present embodiment will be described. FIG. 9 is a plan view of the diaper 1 in an extended state as viewed from the skin side. Note that in FIG. 9, the elastic members 4C, 4SL, 4SR, 8EL, and 8ER are not shown. In the diaper 1 according to this modification, at least one end of the separation sheet 20 in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1 is joined to the top sheet 7. In FIG. 9, the joint portion between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7 is shown by a thick line and denoted by the reference numeral S2. Hereinafter, the joint portion represented by S2 will be referred to as the joint portion S2. In this example, the separation sheet 20 is provided with joint portions S2 at both ends in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1. By joining the separation sheet 20 to the top sheet 7 in this way, it is possible to prevent the solid matter of the watery stool held in the space between the separation sheet 20 and the top sheet 7 from moving in the longitudinal direction of the diaper 1. Thereby, the diaper 1 can prevent the solid matter of the watery stool from touching the skin of the wearer, and can suppress a decrease in the wearing feeling when the wearer excretes feces.
[0044] <Other Embodiments> Next, other embodiments will be described. In the above embodiment, the tape-type disposable diaper has been described as an example, but the present invention is not limited to this, and the present invention is also applicable to absorbent articles such as pant-type disposable diapers and absorbent pads. Further, in the above embodiment, the communication hole 21 was a cut, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the communication hole 21 may be an elliptical or polygonal hole formed in the separation sheet 20.
