DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0007] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the fence 1 as seen from the road side, and Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the fence 1 as seen from the house side.

[0008] Fence 1 is installed on the boundary between a residential site and a road and is formed into an L-shape in plan view. In this embodiment, lattice members 27 arranged on the front and side sides of fence 1 extend in different directions, but the directions in which lattice members 27 extend are referred to as the longitudinal direction or lateral direction.

[0009] As shown in Figure 1, fence 1 has posts 10 and a fence body 20 supported by posts 10. Fence body 20 has an upper rail 21, a lower rail 22, and vertical rails 23, 24, and 25, which are configured into a rectangular shape. The upper end of post 10 is fixed to the part of upper rail 21 facing the house, and the part of post 10 near its lower end is fixed to the part of lower rail 22 facing the house.

[0010] A lattice member 27 is provided between vertical beams 23 and 25, between vertical beams 25 and 24, and between vertical beams 25 and 25. The longitudinal ends of lattice member 27 are fixed to vertical beams 23, 24, and 25.

[0011] The fence 1 also has a top coping board 31 and a side coping board 41. The top coping board 31 is fixed to an aluminum base member 35 with screws 311 (see FIG. 42), and is thereby fixed to the upper rail 21 via the base member 35 (see FIG. 42, for example). The side coping board 41 is fixed to an aluminum side base member 45 with screws 411 (see FIG. 32), and is thereby fixed to the vertical rail 23 or the vertical rail 24 via the side base member 45. Fig. 32 is an explanatory diagram showing how a house-side cover member 471 and a road-side cover member 472 are attached to a side coping 41 of the fence 1. Fig. 42 is a cross-sectional view showing how an illumination member 315 is attached to a base member 35 of the fence 1.

[0012] In a plan view, the fence body 20 and the posts 10 are within the width direction range of the top capping 31, and do not protrude toward the house side or the road side beyond the top capping 31. Furthermore, in a side view (viewed in a direction coinciding with the longitudinal direction of the upper rail 21), the fence body 20 and the posts 10 are within the width direction range of the side capping 41, and do not protrude toward the house side or the road side beyond the side capping 41.

[0013] The top surface coping board 31 is made of aluminum material, and is formed in a U-shape that opens downward as shown in Fig. 42. The base member 35 has a base plate-like portion 351 arranged horizontally inside the U-shaped top surface coping board 31, a central fin 352 extending in the longitudinal direction of the base plate-like portion 351 at the central position in the width direction of the base plate-like portion 351, a pair of side fins 353 extending in the longitudinal direction of the base plate-like portion 351 along the side edges near each of the side edges of the base plate-like portion 351, and a base portion fixed portion 354 extending downward from the base plate-like portion 351 and fixed to the upper rail 21.

[0014] The upper rail 21 has a hollow first hollow section 211 located on the road side and whose cross-sectional shape when cut in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the upper rail 21 is rectangular and close to square, and a second hollow section 212 which is longer in the vertical direction than the first hollow section 211 and has a rectangular cross-sectional shape when cut in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the upper rail 21.

[0015] The side coping 41 is made of an aluminum material, and is formed in a U-shape opening toward the lattice member 27, as shown in Fig. 32. The side base member 45 has a base plate portion 451 arranged vertically inside the U-shaped side coping 41, a central fin 452 extending in the longitudinal direction of the base plate portion 451 at the central position of the base plate portion 451 in the vertical direction, a pair of side fins 453 extending in the longitudinal direction of the base plate portion 451 along the side edges in the vicinity of each of the side edges of the base plate portion 451, and a base fixed portion 454 extending from the base plate portion 451 toward the lattice member 27 and fixed to the vertical bar 23 or vertical bar 24. The vertical bars 23, 24 are formed in a U-shape in cross section cut in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the vertical bars 23, 24 opening toward the side coping 41.

[0016] A long hole 4511 (see FIG. 31, etc.) is formed in the base plate portion 451 of the side surface base member 45, and a screw 458 (see FIG. 30, etc.) passes through the long hole 4511 to fix the base plate portion 451 of the side surface base member 45 to the vertical bars 23, 24. FIG. 30 is a cross-sectional view showing a state in which the side surface base member 45 is fixed to the vertical bar 23 of the fence 1. FIG. 31 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing the long hole 4511 through which the screw 458 that fixes the side surface base member 45 to the vertical bar 23 of the fence 1 passes. The configuration of each part of the fence 1, that is, the top coping 31 and the side coping 41, will be described in detail below.

[0017] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, an end of top capping 31 and an end of side capping 41 face each other at corner C. At corner C, a slope that forms an angle of 45° with respect to the extension direction of top capping 31 and a slope that forms an angle of 45° with respect to the extension direction of side capping 41 abut each other, so that top capping 31 and side capping 41 are perpendicular to each other. Figure 3 is a side view showing corner C of fence 1.

[0018] As shown in Fig. 4, the top surface resin part 32 is provided at the end of the top surface coping 31. As shown in Figs. 4, 6 and 8, the top surface resin part 32 has a fixed part 321 that extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the top surface coping 31 and is fixed to the top surface coping 31 by screwing, and a plate-shaped opposing plate part 322 that faces the side surface side resin part 42. The fixed part 321 is integrally molded and connected to the opposing plate part 322, and is formed extending laterally from the opposing plate part 322. Fig. 4 is an exploded perspective view showing a corner C of the fence 1. Fig. 6 is a perspective view showing the top surface resin part 32 at the corner C of the fence 1. Fig. 8 is a side view showing the side surface side resin part 42 at the corner C of the fence 1 being screwed to the side surface coping 41.

[0019] A recess 323 is formed on the periphery of the facing plate 322, recessed in the direction in which the fixed part 321 extends with respect to the center of the facing plate 322. In addition, rectangular through holes 325 are formed in the portions of the facing plate 322 facing the fixed part 321, as shown in Fig. 9. Screws 326 can be inserted through the through holes 325 to fix the fixed part 321 to the top coping board 31 with the screws 326. In addition, a notch 324 is formed in the facing plate 322, which opens and extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the rectangular through holes 325. Fig. 9 is an explanatory diagram showing how the top resin part 32 at the corner C of the fence 1 is screwed to the top coping board 31.

[0020] As shown in Fig. 4, a side surface resin part 42 is provided at an end of the side surface coping 41. As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, the side surface resin part 42 has a fixed part 421 that extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the side surface coping 41 and is fixed to the side surface coping 41 by screwing, and a plate-shaped opposing plate part 422 that faces the top surface side resin part 32. The fixed part 421 is integrally molded and connected to the opposing plate part 422, and is formed to extend downward from the opposing plate part 422. Fig. 5 is a perspective view showing the side surface resin part 42 at the corner C of the fence 1.

[0021] A convex portion 423 is formed on the periphery of the facing plate portion 422, protruding in the opposite direction to the extension direction of the fixed portion 421, more specifically, in the direction of the recess 323, relative to the center of the facing plate portion 422. A rectangular through hole 425 is formed in the portion of the facing plate portion 422 facing the fixed portion 421. A screw (not shown) can be inserted through the through hole 425, and the fixed portion 421 can be fixed to the side cap board 41 by the screw (not shown).

[0022] Furthermore, an L-shaped cutout 424 is formed in the center of the opposing plate portion 422, opening and extending parallel to the longitudinal direction of the rectangular through-hole 425. As shown in Fig. 13, a part of the upper rail 21 is inserted into the cutout 424, and a portion of the side surface side resin part 42 around the cutout 424 comes into contact with the upper rail 21, thereby positioning the side surface side resin part 42 and the side surface coping 41 relative to the upper rail 21. Fig. 13 is a perspective view showing the side surface side resin part 42 at corner C of the fence 1 being abutted against the upper rail 21.

[0023] Opposing plate portion 322 forms an angle of 45° with respect to the extension direction of fixed portion 321, and opposing plate portion 422 forms an angle of 45° with respect to the extension direction of fixed portion 421. The distance from the apex of this angle to the axis of screws 326, 426 that fix top surface side resin part 32 and side surface side resin part 42 to top surface cap board 31 and side surface cap board 41 in the extension direction of fixed portion 321 and fixed portion 421 respectively differs between top surface side resin part 32 and side surface side resin part 42.

[0024] 10 to 12, the distance L1 in the direction in which the fixed part 321 extends from the apex of the angle to the axis of the screw 326 that fixes the top resin part 32 to the top coping board 31, the distance L2 in the direction in which the fixed part 421 extends from the apex of the angle to the axis of the screw 426 that fixes the side resin part 42 provided on the left side coping board 41 to the side coping board 41, and the distance L3 in the direction in which the fixed part 421 extends from the apex of the angle to the axis of the screw 426 that fixes the side resin part 42 provided on the right side coping board 41 to the side coping board 41 are different. Therefore, the top coping board 31, the left side coping board 41, and the right side coping board 41 are configured so that they cannot be attached to other places by mistake. Fig. 10 is a side view showing how the top surface resin part 32 of the corner C of the fence 1 is screwed to the top surface coping board 31. Fig. 11 is a side view showing how the left side surface resin part 42 of the corner C of the fence 1 is screwed to the left side surface coping board 41. Fig. 12 is a side view showing how the right side surface resin part 42 of the corner C of the fence 1 is screwed to the right side surface coping board 41.

[0025] The top surface capping boards 31 have a corner portion R where a straight portion of one top surface capping board 31 faces a straight portion of the other top surface capping board 31. As shown in Figures 1 to 2, 14, etc., the straight portion of one top surface capping board 31 and the straight portion of the other top surface capping board 31 abut on each other at the corner portion R, whereby the straight portion of one top surface capping board 31 and the straight portion of the other top surface capping board 31 are perpendicular to each other as a result of the inclined surfaces that form an angle of 45° with respect to the extension direction of the top surface capping board 31 abutting against each other. Figure 14 is a perspective view showing the corner portion R of the fence 1.

[0026] As shown in Fig. 15 and Fig. 17, a top surface resin part 62 is provided at the end of one of the top surface copings 31. The top surface resin part 62 has a fixed part 621 that extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the top surface coping 31 and is fixed to the top surface coping 31 by screwing, and a U-shaped opposing part 622 that faces the other top surface resin part 62. The fixed part 621 is integrally molded and connected to the opposing part 622, and is formed extending laterally from the opposing part 622. As shown in Fig. 17, a recess 623 is formed at the periphery of the opposing part 622 in the same direction as the fixed part 621 extends, more specifically, in the direction away from the protrusion 523 of the top surface resin part 52, with respect to the center of the opposing part 622. Fig. 15 is an exploded perspective view showing a corner part R of the fence 1. FIG. 17 is a perspective view showing the other top surface side resin part 62 fixed to the end portion of the other top surface coping 31 of the fence 1. As shown in FIG.

[0027] As shown in Fig. 15 and Fig. 16, a top surface side resin part 52 is provided at the end of the other top surface coping 31. The top surface side resin part 52 has a fixed part 521 that extends parallel to the longitudinal direction of the top surface coping 31 and is fixed to the top surface coping 31 by screwing, and a U-shaped opposing part 522 that faces one of the top surface side resin parts 62. The fixed part 521 is integrally molded and connected to the opposing part 522, and is formed extending laterally from the opposing part 522. A convex part 523 is formed at the periphery of the opposing part 522, as shown in Fig. 16, protruding in a direction opposite to the direction in which the fixed part 521 extends from the center of the opposing part 522. Fig. 16 is a perspective view showing a state in which one top surface side resin part 52 is fixed to the end of one of the top surface copings 31 of the fence 1.

[0028] The fixed portion 521 of the top surface side resin part 52 is fixed to the top surface capping board 31 by screwing it from below with a screw 526 as shown in Fig. 18 with the opposing portion 522 of the top surface side resin part 52 fitted into the notch 364 formed in the top surface capping board 31 and positioned therein. The fixed portion 621 of the top surface side resin part 62 is fixed to the top surface capping board 31 by screwing it from below with a screw 626 as shown in Figs. 18 and 19 with the opposing portion 622 of the top surface side resin part 62 fitted into the notch 364 formed in the top surface capping board 31 and positioned therein. Fig. 18 is a plan view showing a state in which a slight gap S is generated between the top surface side resin part 62 and the top surface side resin part 52 at the corner portion R of the fence 1. Fig. 19 is a bottom view showing a state in which the top surface side resin part 62 at the corner portion R of the fence 1 is screwed to the top surface capping board 31.

[0029] As shown in Fig. 21, a resin corner underside covering member 36 is provided on the underside of the corner R. As shown in Fig. 20, the base member 35 fixed to the upper rail 21 is formed in a rectangular shape on the underside of the corner R, so that there is a portion between the end of one base member 35 and the end of the other base member 35 where the base member 35 does not exist. The corner underside covering member 36 is provided to cover this portion. Fig. 20 is a bottom perspective view showing the underside of the corner of the fence 1.

[0030] As shown in Figures 21, 22, 25, etc., the corner lower covering member 36 has an L-shape in plan view. The corner lower covering member 36 has fins 362 that extend upward from an upper surface 361 of the corner lower covering member 36 toward the top cap board 31 and that extend along the side edges. At the positions of the corners of the pair of fins 362, i.e., at positions on an imaginary line connecting a right angle of the inner side edge of the L-shape in plan view and a right angle of the outer side edge, a notch 364 recessed downward is formed, and this position is a position opposite to the position where one straight portion of the top cap board 31 and the other straight portion of the corner R abut. Here, for convenience of explanation, the straight portion of the top cap board 31 means a portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the top cap board 31, and therefore the top cap board 31 has a straight portion and both ends of the straight portion. Also, a part of the straight line portion is defined as a part of the straight line portion. Opposing portions 522 and 622 engage with cutout 364, as shown in Figures 23 and 24. Figure 21 is an exploded perspective view showing corner portion R of fence 1. Figure 22 is a perspective view showing corner underside covering member 36 of corner portion R of fence 1. Figure 23 is a perspective view showing one top coping board 31 removed from corner portion R of fence 1. Figure 25 is a perspective view showing top coping board 31 removed from corner portion R of fence 1.

[0031] As shown in FIG. 24, a conductor 37 for supplying electricity to a lighting member 315 described later is disposed between the pair of fins 362. This prevents the conductor 37 from being pinched between the top board 31 and the base member 35. As shown in FIG. 22 and other figures, slits 365 are formed as engaged portions at both ends of the L-shaped corner lower cover member 36 and at the center of the pair of fins 362. As shown in FIG. 25, a central fin 352 as a positioning protrusion of the base member 35 is inserted and fitted into the slit 365. As shown in FIG. 23 to FIG. 25, an inner part of the corner of the L-shaped corner lower cover member 36 (a part on the side where the fin 362 located inside the L-shaped corner of the pair of fins 362 is provided, with the slit 365 as a boundary) is placed between the central fin 352 (see FIG. 42) and one of the side fins 353 (see FIG. 42) of the base member 35. 23 to 25, the outer part of the corner of the L-shaped corner lower covering member 36 (the part on the side where the fin 362 located on the outer side of the L-shaped corner of the pair of fins 362 is provided, with the slit 365 as the boundary) is placed between the central fin 352 (see FIG. 42) and the other side fin 353 (see FIG. 42) of the base member 35. As a result, the corner lower covering member 36 is not fixed to the base member 35 by screws or the like, and is simply placed so as to straddle the end of one top surface capping board 31 and the end of the other top surface capping board 31, but is positioned with high accuracy relative to the base member 35, improving workability. FIG. 24 is a perspective view showing a state in which the conductor 37 is arranged at the corner portion R of the fence 1 and the other top surface capping board 31 is removed.

[0032] The top surface capping boards 31 have a connection part L (see FIG. 33 etc.) where a straight portion of one top surface capping board 31 faces a straight portion of the other top surface capping board 31. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 2, 33 etc., the straight portion of one top surface capping board 31 and the straight portion of the other top surface capping board 31 are connected in a straight line by abutting end faces perpendicular to the extension direction of the top surface capping boards 31 at the connection part L. FIG. 33 is a perspective view showing the connection part L of the top surface capping boards 31 of the fence 1.

[0033] At the connection portion L, as shown in Fig. 34, a resin base connecting member 38 is provided. The base connecting member 38 is simply placed across an end of the base member 35 on one side to which one linear portion of the top surface coping 31 is fixed and an end of the base member 35 on the other side to which the other linear portion of the top surface coping 31 is fixed, so as to straddle these two base members 35, which are connected in a straight line, and is not fixed to the end of the base member 35 by screws or the like. Fig. 34 is an exploded perspective view showing the connection portion L of the top surface coping 31 of the fence 1.

[0034] As shown in Figs. 36 and 37, the base connecting member 38 has a pair of connecting plate-shaped parts 381, a clamped part 382 that connects the pair of connecting plate-shaped parts 381 on the upper side of the pair of connecting plate-shaped parts 381 and is formed in a U-shape that opens downward, and a plate-shaped part connecting part 383 that connects the pair of connecting plate-shaped parts 381 in the space between the pair of connecting plate-shaped parts 381. A plate-shaped part fin 385 that extends upward from the upper surface of the connecting plate-shaped part 381 and extends from one end to the other end in the longitudinal direction of the connecting plate-shaped part 381 is integrally formed with the connecting plate-shaped part 381 at the center position in the width direction of the connecting plate-shaped part 381. Fig. 36 is an upper perspective view showing the base connecting member 38 of the connection part L of the top cap board 31 of the fence 1. Fig. 37 is a lower perspective view showing the base connecting member 38 of the connection part L of the top cap board 31 of the fence 1.

[0035] As shown in FIG. 35, one of the pair of connecting plate parts 381 is placed between the central fin 352 (see FIG. 42) and one of the side fins 353 (see FIG. 42) of the base member 35, and the other of the pair of connecting plate parts 381 is placed between the central fin 352 and the other of the side fins 353 of the base member 35. Also, as shown in FIG. 33, the clamped part 382 is clamped between an end of one straight part of the top cap board 31 and an end of the other straight part of the top cap board 31. Therefore, the base connecting member 38 is not screwed or fixed to either the top cap board 31 or the base member 35. A through hole 387 penetrating the connecting plate part 381 is formed in the center of the connecting plate part 381. FIG. 35 is an exploded perspective view showing a state of the connection part L of the top cap board 31 of the fence 1 before the top cap board 31 is attached.

[0036] As shown in Fig. 41, an edge is formed at an end of the base member 35 in the longitudinal direction, and a resin edge cover member 39 is provided at the edge to surround the end of the base member 35. The edge cover member 39 has a cover main body 391 formed in a U-shaped plate, and a through hole 392 is formed at the end of the cover main body 391. The edge cover member 39 is fixed to the base member 35 by passing a screw through the through hole 392 and a through hole 3511 formed in the vicinity of the edge of the base member 35. Fig. 41 is a perspective view showing a state before the edge cover member is attached to the end of the base member 35 of the fence 1.

[0037] Further, the edge covering member 39 has an inserting portion 394 to be inserted into the edge of the base member 35. The inserting portion 394 is formed in a plate shape and is provided near the end of the central portion of the U-shaped edge covering member 39. When the edge covering member 39 is fixed to the edge of the base member 35, the edge covering member 39 is inserted and fixed to the edge of the base member 35 so that both ends of the edge covering member 39 where the through holes 392 are formed are on the lower side of the base member 35 and so that the inserting portion 394 is on the upper side of the base member 35.

[0038] As shown in Fig. 26, the base member 35 is fixed to the upper rail 21 by a bracket 213 which is a metal fitting. As shown in Fig. 28, the bracket 213 is configured by integrally connecting, in this order, a horizontal portion 2131 extending horizontally, a vertical portion 2132 extending vertically, and a hook portion 2133 bent upward from the lower end of the vertical portion 2132. Fig. 26 is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the base member 35 is fixed to the upper rail 21 of the fence 1. Fig. 28 is a perspective view showing the bracket 213 which fixes the base member 35 to the upper rail 21 of the fence 1.

[0039] Moreover, bracket 213 has a temporarily fixed portion that is engaged with screw 214 as a temporary fixing portion provided on base member 35. The temporarily fixed portion is composed of a portion of bracket 213 in which elongated cutout portion 2134 as a hole portion formed at an end portion of horizontal portion 2131 connected to vertical portion 2132, and large cutout portion 2135 as a rectangular wide hole portion formed at the upper end portion of vertical portion 2132 and communicating with elongated cutout portion 2134, is formed.

[0040] The large cutout portion 2135 allows the head of the screw 214 to pass through, whereas the long hole cutout portion 2134 allows the shank of the screw 214 to pass through, whereas the head of the screw 214 cannot pass through. Therefore, by passing the head of the screw 214 temporarily fixed to the base member 35 through the large cutout portion 2135 and positioning the shank of the screw 214 in the long hole cutout portion 2134, it is possible to temporarily fix the bracket 213 to the screw 214.

[0041] The horizontal portion 2131 is fixed to the base plate portion 351 by the screw 214. The hook portion 2133 is engaged with the lower end of the second hollow portion 212 of the upper rail 21. Furthermore, the base portion fixed portion 354 of the base member 35 is fixed to the side of the first hollow portion 211 by the screw 215. In this way, the base member 35 is fixed to the upper rail 21. The portion of the base portion fixed portion 354 fixed to the first hollow portion 211 by the screw 215 is constituted by a thick portion 3541 that is thicker than the surrounding portions, as shown in FIG. 29. This increases the strength of the portion of the base portion fixed portion 354.

[0042] As shown in Fig. 42, an illumination member 315 is provided on the base plate portion 351 of the base member 35. A lower space 316 that opens toward the lower side of the top cap board 31 is formed below the top cap board 31. The illumination members 315 are provided on the lower surface of the base plate portion 351 in the lower space 316, on both the part facing the house and the part facing the road, and are composed of LEDs or the like. The illumination members 315 are electrically connected to a power source (not shown) via conductors 37 (see Fig. 24, etc.), and electricity is supplied via the conductors 37.

[0043] In the top capping 31, the conductor 37 is disposed between the top capping 31 and the base member 35, between the central fin 352 and the other side fin 353, as shown by a two-dot chain circle in Fig. 43. In the side capping 41, the conductor 37 is disposed between the side capping 41 and the side base member 45, between the central fin 452 and the other side fin 453, as shown by a two-dot chain circle in Fig. 44. Fig. 43 is a cross-sectional view showing a space between the top capping 31 and the base member 35 of the fence 1 where the conductor 37 is disposed. Fig. 44 is a cross-sectional view showing a space between the side capping 41 and the side base member 45 of the fence 1 where the conductor 37 is disposed.

[0044] The side coping 41 is provided with a cover member that covers the vertical bars 23, 24 of the side coping 41. As shown in Fig. 32, the cover members have a house-side cover member 471 and a road-side cover member 472, each made of aluminum. The house-side cover member 471 has a cover plate-shaped portion 4711 and a pair of cover locking claws 4712 that are integrally molded and connected to the cover plate-shaped portion 4711 at the center of the cover plate-shaped portion 4711. The road-side cover member 472 has a cover plate-shaped portion 4721 and a pair of cover locking claws 4722 that are integrally molded and connected to the cover plate-shaped portion 4721 at a portion of the cover plate-shaped portion 4721 closer to the house side.

[0045] A claw receiving portion 456 with which the cover locking claw 4712 can engage is provided on the vertical bar side (right side in FIG. 32) of the side surface base member 45, which is the house side. The cover locking claw 4712 engages with the claw receiving portion 456, thereby fixing the house side cover member 471 to the side surface base member 45. Also, a claw receiving portion 457 with which the cover locking claw 4722 can engage is provided on the vertical bar side (right side in FIG. 32) of the side surface base member 45, which is the road side. The cover locking claw 4722 engages with the claw receiving portion 457, thereby fixing the road side cover member 472 to the side surface base member 45.

[0046] As shown in FIG. 39, an opening 414 is formed at the lower end of the side coping 41, which opens downward and toward the vertical bars 23 and 24. As shown in FIG. 38, a resin lower end cover member 413 is provided at the opening 414. The lower end cover member 413 has a cover portion extension portion 4131, a cover member abutment portion 4132, and a cover portion plate portion 4133. The cover portion extension portion 4131 extends upward from the cover portion plate portion 4133 and is configured to cover the opening 414 of the side coping 41, which opens toward the vertical bars 23 and 24. FIG. 38 is a perspective view showing the lower end of the side coping 41 of the fence 1. FIG. 39 is a perspective view showing the state before the lower end cover member 413 is attached to the lower end of the side coping 41 of the fence 1.

[0047] The cover member abutment portion 4132 is formed by the peripheral portion of the cover plate portion 4133, and abuts against the lower end of the house-side cover member 471 and the lower end of the road-side cover member 472, respectively, thereby preventing the house-side cover member 471 and the road-side cover member 472 from falling off downward from the side surface side base member 45. Also, as shown in Fig. 40, a through hole 4134 is formed in the cover plate portion 4133. A conductor 37 for supplying electricity to the lighting member 315 is passed through the through hole 4134. Fig. 40 is a perspective view showing a state in which the conductor 37 is passed through the lower end cover member 413 at the lower end of the side surface coping 41 of the fence 1.

[0048] Next, a fence construction method for constructing top coping 31 and side coping 41 on fence 1 will be described. First, a process of fixing the side surface side base member 45 to the vertical bars 23, 24 is performed. The side surface side base member 45 is placed in a position facing the vertical bars 23, 24, and a process of removing the screw fixing the lattice member 27, which is a small bar, to the vertical bars 23, 24 at a position facing the long hole 4511 of the side surface side base member 45 is performed. Then, the long hole 4511 (see FIG. 31, etc.) of the side surface side base member 45 is made to face the screw hole into which the removed screw was screwed, and a screw 458 longer than the removed screw is passed through the long hole 4511, thereby performing a fixing process of fixing the side surface side base member 45 to one end of the vertical bars 23, 24 and the lattice member 27 as shown in FIG.

[0049] Next, a process of processing the details of the base member 35 is performed. Specifically, the end of the base member 35 is cut to form a small edge of the end of the base member 35. Also, holes for attaching screws 214 for temporarily and securely fixing the bracket 213 are formed in the base member 35. Also, an attachment member for attaching the lighting member 315 is fixed to the base member 35.

[0050] Next, a process of fixing the base member 35 to the upper rail 21 is performed. First, the screw 214 for temporarily fixing and fastening the bracket 213 to the base member 35 is attached. Next, from the state shown in Fig. 27, the head of the screw 214 temporarily fastened to the base member 35 is passed through the large cutout portion 2135 of the bracket 213, and the shaft portion of the screw 214 is positioned in the long hole-shaped cutout portion 2134, thereby performing a temporary fastening process of temporarily fastening (temporarily fastening) the bracket 213 to the base member 35 to which the screw 214 is temporarily fastened. Fig. 27 is a cross-sectional view showing the state in which the bracket 213 is temporarily fixed before the base member 35 is fixed to the upper rail 21 of the fence 1.

[0051] Next, as shown in FIG. 27, a locking step is performed in which the hook portion 2133 of the bracket 213 is locked to the lower end of the second hollow portion 212 of the upper rail 21. Then, while pressing the hook portion 2133 upward against the upper rail 21, the vertical portion 2132 is pressed against the upper rail 21, and the screw 214 is gradually tightened to perform a main fixing step in which the bracket 213 is fixed to the base plate portion 351 of the base member 35. Next, as shown in FIG. 29, the thick portion 3541 of the base portion fixed portion 354 of the base member 35 is fixed to the side portion of the first hollow portion 211 by the screw 215. Next, the lighting member 315 is fitted into the mounting member attached to the base member 35 and fixed. FIG. 29 is an enlarged cross-sectional view showing a portion of the screw 215 that fixes the base member 35 to the upper rail 21 of the fence 1.

[0052] 41, the edge covering member 39 is attached to the ends of the base member 35. Specifically, the edge covering member 39 is inserted into the edge of the base member 35 so that both ends of the edge covering member 39 where the through holes 392 are formed are on the lower side of the base member 35 and the insertion portion 394 is on the upper side of the base member 35. Then, the edge covering member 39 is fixed to the base member 35 by passing a screw through the through hole 392 and a through hole 3511 formed near the edge of the base member 35.

[0053] Next, as shown in FIG. 35 etc., a temporary placement step is performed in which the base connecting member 38 is placed on the base member 35. Specifically, when the base member 35 to which one straight portion of the top surface coping 31 is fixed and the base member 35 to which the other straight portion of the top surface coping 31 is fixed are different base members 35 (the case of part B in FIG. 1), the base connecting member 38 is placed on the base portion plate portion 351 at the end of the base member 35 so as to bridge the end of the base member 35 on one side and the end of the base member 35 on the other side. At this time, each of the pair of connecting portion plate portions 381 is placed on the base portion plate portion 351 between the central fin 352 and the side fin 353.

[0054] Furthermore, when the base member 35 to which one straight portion of the top surface coping 31 is fixed and the base member 35 to which the other straight portion of the top surface coping 31 is fixed, which are connected in a straight line, are the same base portion (as in the case of portion A in FIG. 1), a cutting step is performed to cut out the inter-plate portion connection portion 383 serving as a reinforcing connection portion of the base connecting member 38, making it possible to insert the central fin 352 between the pair of connecting portion plate portions 381. Then, a base connecting member placing step is performed to place the base connecting member 38 on the base portion plate portion 351 by inserting the central fin 352 between the pair of connecting portion plate portions 381 and placing each of the pair of connecting portion plate portions 381 on the base portion plate portion 351 between the central fin 352 and the side fin 353.

[0055] 25, a temporary placement step is performed in which the corner lower covering member 36 is placed at the corner R. Specifically, with the central fin 352 serving as the positioning protrusion of the base member 35 inserted into the slit 365 of the corner lower covering member 36, as shown in FIGS. 23 to 25, the inner part of the corner of the L-shaped corner lower covering member 36 (the part on the side where the fin 362 located on the inner side of the L-shaped corner of the pair of fins 362 is provided, with the slit 365 as the boundary) is placed between the central fin 352 (see FIG. 42) and one of the side fins 353 (see FIG. 42) of the base member 35. 23 to 25, the outer corner portion of the L-shaped corner lower covering member 36 (the portion on the side where the fin 362 located on the outer side of the L-shaped corner of the pair of fins 362 is provided, with the slit 365 as the boundary) is placed between the central fin 352 (see FIG. 42) and the other side fin 353 (see FIG. 42) of the base member 35. In this way, the corner lower covering member 36 is placed on the end portions of one base member 35 and the other base member 35 so as to straddle these end portions.

[0056] Next, a process of wiring and routing the conductor 37 is performed. Specifically, in the top cap board 31, the conductor 37 is wired in the space between the top cap board 31 and the base member 35, which is indicated by a two-dot chain circle in Fig. 43. Then, the conductor 37 and the lighting member 315 are electrically connected. In addition, in the side cap board 41, the conductor 37 is wired in the space between the side cap board 41 and the side base member 45, which is indicated by a two-dot chain circle in Fig. 44.

[0057] Next, the side capping board 41 is attached. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 13, the end of the upper crosspiece 21 is inserted into the notch 424 (see FIG. 5) of the side resin part 42, and the portion of the side resin part 42 around the notch 424 is abutted against the upper crosspiece 21. This determines the vertical positions of the side resin part 42 and the side capping board 41 with respect to the upper crosspiece 21 with high precision, and positions the side resin part 42 and the side capping board 41 with respect to the upper crosspiece 21. In addition, the lower end cover member 413 is attached so as to cover the opening 414 at the lower end of the side capping board 41, and is fixed to the lower end of the side capping board 41 with a screw. Then, the side capping board 41 is fixed to the side base member 45 with a screw 411 (see FIG. 32, etc.), and the side capping board 41 is attached to the side base member 45.

[0058] Next, the top capping board 31 is attached. Specifically, the top capping board 31 is cut to a predetermined length and placed on the base member 35. At this time, the top capping board 31 is placed on the base member 35 with the clamped portion 382 of the base connecting member 38 clamped between an end of one top capping board 31 and an end of the other top capping board 31, as shown in Fig. 33. Next, a fixing process is performed in which the top capping board 31 is fixed to the base member 35 with screws 311, as shown in Fig. 42.

[0059] Next, a process is performed to attach the house-side cover member 471 and the road-side cover member 472 to the side coping 41. Specifically, as shown in Fig. 32, the cover locking claws 4712 of the house-side cover member 471 are inserted into and engaged with the claw receivers 456, thereby fixing the house-side cover member 471 to the side-side base member 45. The cover locking claws 4722 of the road-side cover member 472 are inserted into and engaged with the claw receivers 457, thereby fixing the road-side cover member 472 to the side-side base member 45. Through the above processes, the fence 1 having the top coping 31 and the side coping 41 is completed.

[0060] According to this embodiment, the following effects are achieved. In this embodiment, corner C is provided with top surface side resin part 32 provided at the end of top surface coping 31, and side surface side resin part 42 provided at the upper end of side surface coping 41 and facing top surface side resin part 32. This makes it possible to reduce exposure of the resin parts of top surface coping 31 and side surface coping 41 to the outside at corner C. Also, it becomes possible to protect the small edge of the shaped material at corner C by top surface side resin part 32 and side surface side resin part 42.

[0061] In this embodiment, the side surface side resin part 42 has a convex part 423, and the top surface side resin part 32 has a concave part 323 into which the convex part 423 fits. As a result, even if a slight gap S occurs between the top surface side resin part 32 and the side surface side resin part 42 due to material tolerances, as shown in Fig. 7, it is possible to make the gap S less noticeable. Also, by making part of the shape of the convex part 423 horizontal, it is possible to easily absorb the tolerance. Fig. 7 is a side view showing a state in which a slight gap S occurs between the top surface side resin part 32 and the side surface side resin part 42 at a corner C of the fence 1.

[0062] In this embodiment, the top surface side resin component 32 is fixed to the top surface coping board 31 by screws. This makes it possible to prevent sharp parts of the top surface coping board 31 at the corners C from being exposed.

[0063] In this embodiment, the screw fastening positions in the top surface side resin part 32 and the side surface side resin parts 42 are different for each corner. This makes it possible to prevent incorrect assembly when assembling the top surface side resin part 32 to the top surface coping 31 at the factory.

[0064] In this embodiment, a through hole 325 for inserting a screw 326 is formed in the portion of the top surface side resin component 32 facing the side surface side resin component 42. This makes it possible to fasten the top surface side resin component 32 to the top surface coping 31 with the screw.

[0065] In this embodiment, the side surface resin component 42 is fixed to the side surface coping board 41 by screws. This makes it possible to prevent the sharp portions of the side surface coping board 41 at the corners C from being exposed.

[0066] In this embodiment, a through hole 425 for inserting a screw 426 is formed in a portion of the side surface side resin part 42 facing the top surface side resin part 32. This makes it possible to fasten the side surface side resin part 42 to the top surface coping 31 with the screw.

[0067] In this embodiment, the side surface resin part 42 abuts against the end of the upper rail 21. This makes it possible to assemble the side surface coping 41 without affecting the corner C of the side surface coping 41 due to tolerance.

[0068] In the present embodiment, the corner portion R is provided with the resin part 52 and the other resin part 62 facing the resin part 52. As a result, the convex parts 523 and the concave parts 623 of the resin parts 52, 62 are interlocked, thereby making it possible to reduce exposure of the resin parts 52, 62 to the outside of the top surface coping 31 in the corner portion R. Also, the top surface side resin parts 52, 62 can protect the ends of the shaped members in the corner portion R.

[0069] In this embodiment, one top surface side resin part 52 has a convex part 523 that protrudes toward the other resin part 62, and the other resin part 62 has a concave part 623 into which the convex part 523 fits. As a result, even if a slight gap S is created between the top surface side resin parts 52 and 62 due to material tolerances as shown in Fig. 18, it is possible to prevent light from leaking through the gap S and make the gap S less noticeable.

[0070] In this embodiment, the top surface side resin components 52, 62 are fixed to the top surface coping board 31 by screws. This makes it possible to prevent sharp parts of the top surface coping board 31 at the corner parts R from being exposed.

[0071] In this embodiment, the corner portion R is provided with a corner portion underside covering member 36. This makes it possible to hide the internal structure of the corner portion R.

[0072] In this embodiment, fins 362 extending toward the top surface coping board 31 are provided on the upper surface of the corner lower covering member 36 facing the top surface coping board 31. This makes it possible to prevent the conductor 37 from being pinched by wiring the conductor 37 between the fins 362.

[0073] In this embodiment, a notch 364 is formed in the fin 362 that faces the position where the end of one top surface capping 31 and the end of the other top surface capping 31 abut on each other in the corner portion R. This allows the top surface side resin parts 52, 62 to fit into the notch 364, making it possible to adjust the position and determine the position.

[0074] In this embodiment, the base member 35 has a central fin 352 as a positioning protrusion, and the corner lower covering member 36 has a slit 365 as an engaged portion with which the central fin 352 engages. With this, by engaging the slit 365 with the fin 352, an inner part of the corner of the L-shaped corner lower covering member 36 (a part on the side where the fin 362 located on the inner side of the L-shaped corner of the pair of fins 362 is provided, with the slit 365 as a boundary) is placed between the central fin 352 (see FIG. 42) and one of the side fins 353 (see FIG. 42) of the base member 35. Also, an outer part of the corner of the L-shaped corner lower covering member 36 (a part on the side where the fin 362 located on the outer side of the L-shaped corner of the pair of fins 362 is provided, with the slit 365 as a boundary) is placed between the central fin 352 (see FIG. 42) and the other side fin 353 (see FIG. 42) of the base member 35. This makes it easy to align the corner underside covering member 36 with the base member 35. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent the corner underside covering member 36 from moving significantly during and after assembly of the fence 1.

[0075] Furthermore, in this embodiment, a bracket 213 is provided that is engaged with upper rail 21 and fixed to base member 35, thereby fixing base member 35 to upper rail 21. This makes it possible to fix base member 35 to upper rail 21 by bracket 213 even if the thickness of the portion of upper rail 21 to which base member 35 is fixed is thin.

[0076] In this embodiment, bracket 213 has temporarily fastened portions (long hole-shaped cutout portion 2134, large cutout portion 2135) that are engaged with screws 214 serving as temporary fastening portions provided on base member 35. This makes it possible to prevent bracket 213 from falling off when screws 214 that fix bracket 213 are tightened.

[0077] In this embodiment, upper rail 21 and base member 35 are fixed by screws, and the portion of upper rail 21 that is screwed to base member 35 by screws 215 is formed by thick portion 3541. This makes it possible to improve the strength in a certain direction even if the overall thickness of upper rail 21 is thin.

[0078] In this embodiment, a small edge is formed at the end of the base member 35, and a small edge cover member 39 is provided to surround the end of the base member 35. This makes it possible to cover and hide the small edge of the profile in a narrow space near the small edge.

[0079] In this embodiment, the edge covering member 39 has an insertion portion that is inserted into the edge, so that the edge can be easily covered by inserting the edge covering member 39 into the edge.

This makes it possible to prevent the house side cover member 471 from being mistakenly assembled on the road side and the road side cover member 472 from being mistakenly assembled on the house side.

[0083] In this embodiment, an opening 414 that opens downward is formed at the lower end of the side coping 41, and a lower end cover member 413 that closes the opening 414 is provided at the opening 414. This makes it possible for the lower end cover member 413 to cover the fore-edge.

[0084] In this embodiment, the lower end cover member 413 has a cover extension 4131 that extends upward to cover the small rail side of the side coping 41. This makes it possible for the lower end cover member 413 to cover in addition to concealing the small edge when the house side cover member 471 and the road side cover member 472 as side coping covers are attached.

[0085] In this embodiment, the lower end cover member 413 is formed with a through hole 4134 for passing the conductor 37. This makes it possible to reduce the exposure of the conductor 37, which is the power cable, to the outside of the side cap board 41.

[0086] In this embodiment, the lower end cover member 413 has a cover member abutment portion 4132 that abuts against the lower ends of the house side cover member 471 and the road side cover member 472. This makes it possible to prevent the house side cover member 471 and the road side cover member 472 from falling due to gravity.

[0087] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the fence construction method includes a step of removing the screws for fixing the lattice member 27 to the vertical bars 23, 24, and a fixing step of fixing the side base member 45 to the lattice member 27 and the vertical bars 23, 24 with the screws 458. This makes it possible to fix the side base member 45 even if the vertical bars 23, 24 are made of thin shaped material.

[0088] In the present embodiment, in the fixing process, the screw 458 penetrates the long hole 4511 formed in the side base member 45. This allows the same hole processing regardless of the difference in dimensions, thereby improving productivity, and allows the same parts to be used for different dimensions, thereby reducing costs.

[0089] In addition, in this embodiment, the connection portion L(B) is provided with a base connecting member 38 that is fixed to the top panel 31 in a state in which it is placed so as to straddle the end of the one side base member 35 and the end of the other side base member 35.
