Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a fall prevention device for preventing infants and children from falling from a veranda or balcony. The fall prevention device of the present invention can be used for both verandas and balconies. Here, the veranda will be described as a representative of the usage location.

Background Art

[0002] There have been fall accidents where infants and children climb over the veranda railing and accidentally fall. In particular, in recent years, there have been many tragic fall accidents where people fall from verandas of high-rise condominiums and suffer injuries or fatalities.

[0003] Conventionally, as a fall prevention device, a fall prevention wall or railing for fall prevention is attached to the veranda railing by a fixing device and erected upward from the railing (see Patent Documents 1 and 2).

[0004] Also, a handrail for preventing climbing over is known, which is provided concentrically with a support shaft or via a rotary bearing above the railing so that when an infant or child grabs it, it rotates and prevents climbing over the railing (see Patent Documents 3 and 4).

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0006] Conventional fall prevention devices have a mounting structure for the fall prevention wall that is not necessarily simple, has a large number of parts, and the installation work is not necessarily easy.

[0007] By the way, since the fall prevention device installed on the veranda fence faces the so-called outdoor side, namely the veranda, it is often exposed to wind and rain and is also prone to aging over time. In particular, when it is vulnerable to the external force caused by wind and rain, the attachment part of the fall prevention device to the veranda fence is repeatedly subjected to external force, and its fixing structure is likely to become loose or damaged.

[0008] The width of the veranda varies depending on the building. Conventionally, corresponding to the width, a plurality of fall prevention plates (see, for example, the auxiliary guard in Patent Document 1) or fall prevention fences (see, for example, the fence of the raised fence in Patent Document 2) are arranged horizontally and erected along the veranda fence to form a fall prevention device.

[0009] However, in conventional fall prevention devices, the countermeasures against external forces caused by wind and rain and aging changes are not necessarily perfect. Also, the fall prevention plate is basically a technology related to the structure of fixing the fall prevention plate to the veranda fence individually, and the connection between adjacent fall prevention plates has not been emphasized.

[0010] Even if the fall prevention plates (similarly for the fall prevention fence) are individually attached to the veranda fence, the plurality of fall prevention plates are not fixed to each other, so the strength of the entire fall prevention wall is insufficient. Therefore, the plurality of fall prevention plates should be individually fixed to the veranda fence and adjacent fall prevention plates should be joined to each other by some means.

[0011] However, in order to join a plurality of fall prevention plates to each other, if adjacent fall prevention plates are in close contact with each other, the ventilation into the veranda is obstructed. Moreover, since the inside of the veranda is surrounded by tall fall prevention plates, it becomes airtight and stuffy (sealing property), and also obstructs the view. Considering such points, it is preferable to adopt a configuration in which a gap is provided between adjacent fall prevention plates.

[0012] However, in such a configuration, the coupling members that couple multiple fall prevention plates to each other protrude and are visible from the gaps, resulting in a poor appearance. In addition, the coupling members are exposed to the wind and rain blowing in from the gaps, and due to the external force that changes in strength due to the wind and rain, looseness may occur in the screw coupling structure or the like of the coupling members, and there is a risk of problems such as loosening of the fixing.

[0013] An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems. It has a small number of parts and a simple structure, is easy to install on a veranda fence, and can be firmly attached. Moreover, it does not obstruct the ventilation in the veranda and does not damage the appearance or landscape. Even when exposed to wind and rain, etc., it suppresses rattling, does not loosen the fixing to the veranda fence, and is difficult to come off, and it is an object to realize a fall prevention device having a configuration capable of maintaining the attachment strength.

[0014] Regarding a fall prevention device provided with a rotating handrail, a rotating handrail concentric with a support shaft as in the conventional example needs to be manufactured with high precision concentrically in order to ensure smooth rotation. In particular, it is extremely difficult to manufacture and install concentrically across the width direction of the veranda fence. Also, even if installed, it may bend in the middle of the width direction and contact each other, causing problems such as obstructing smooth rotation.

[0015] If the configuration is such that the rotating handrail is provided with respect to the support shaft via a rotary bearing, due to the need for the rotary bearing, the configuration becomes complicated for its attachment, and the rotary bearing itself is expensive, etc., so it is quite difficult to spread.

[0016] An object of the present invention is to solve such problems, and it is an object to realize a fall prevention device having a rotating cylinder with a simple configuration, easy to manufacture, and sufficient for fall prevention.

Advantages of the Invention

[0024] According to the fall prevention device according to the present invention, the following effects are synergistically achieved. (1) Since the number of parts is small and the structure is simple, it is excellent in economy, and the work of attaching the fall prevention member to the veranda fence is also easy.

[0025] (2) The fall prevention member can be firmly attached to the veranda fence. Even when an external force due to wind, rain, etc. is applied, the external force is made to act as a moment in the strut direction and is received by the strut of the veranda fence. Therefore, the clamping performance of the clamping and fixing device for attaching the fall prevention member to the veranda fence is not reduced, its attachment strength is maintained, it is not easily detached, and it is safe.

[0026] (3) The ventilation into the veranda is not unduly impaired, the appearance is not impaired when viewed from the outside, and the landscape is not impaired when viewed from the veranda side either.

[0027] (4) In particular, in the configuration where the fall prevention member is composed of a rotating cylinder, a fall prevention rotating frame having a configuration in which the rotating cylinder is eccentric and rotatable with respect to the support shaft is adopted. Therefore, there is no need to worry about the structure for concentricity and manufacturing accuracy, and no rotating bearings or the like are required. The configuration is simple, the manufacturing is easy, and it is also excellent economically.

[0028] (5) Further, by making the rotating cylinder eccentric with respect to the support shaft, the constant contact area between the support shaft and the rotating cylinder is reduced, the rotation performance is not deteriorated, and the deterioration of the rotation performance due to deterioration over time is suppressed. Furthermore, the external force against wind and rain is utilized for the eccentric rotation of the rotating cylinder with respect to the support shaft, and it is possible to suppress aging deterioration, damage, etc. caused by the acting force and reaction generated at the contact portion between the rotating cylinder and the support shaft due to the external force.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

[0030] A mode for implementing a fall prevention device from a veranda according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings based on examples.

[0031] In the description of the following examples, when looking outside with the building behind from a veranda provided so as to project from the building, the building side is taken as the veranda side, the outdoor side is taken as the outside of the veranda (or simply "outside"), and the lateral width direction (longitudinal direction) along the veranda fence is taken as the lateral direction of the veranda fence.

[0032] Also, looking at the fall prevention device from the inside of the veranda (building side) is defined as a front view, and looking at it from the side of the veranda is defined as a side view.

EXAMPLE

[0033] The fall prevention device according to the present invention adopts a novel configuration for each part, and they function synergistically to exhibit remarkable operational effects. Details thereof will be described in Examples 1 and 2 below. However, the features of the clamping and fixing device common to Examples 1 and 2 will be briefly described as follows with reference to FIGS. 10(a) and (b) referred to in the description of Examples 1 and 2 below.

[0034] That is, in the fall prevention devices 1 and 81 of Examples 1 and 2, when the fall prevention member 2 (the fall prevention plate 10 in Example 1 and the rotating cylinder 88 in Example 2) receives an external force such as wind and rain from the outside as shown by the arrow F in FIGS. 10(a) and (b), the external force is in a direction in which the pressing force by the pressing bolt 44 is slightly loosened, but a moment M in a direction to strengthen the clamping of the column 31 by the main body side clamping piece 21 is given around the pivot shaft 36. Therefore, even if wind and rain blow in, the fall prevention devices 1 and 81 are unlikely to come off the column 31.

[0035] (Example 1) Example 1 of the fall prevention device according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6. Overall configuration: As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 4(a), etc., the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1 includes a fall prevention member 2 and a plurality of clamping and fixing devices 6 for fixing the fall prevention member 2 to the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3.

[0036] The fall prevention member 2 of the fall prevention device 1 is a plurality of (even one is possible) fall prevention plates 10 fixed according to the width of the veranda 5. Further, the fall prevention device 1 has a reinforcing support plate 11 that can be attached for reinforcement as needed.

[0037] The fall prevention plate 10 is made of a plate material that can withstand wind and rain and has a strength that does not break even when an external force is applied by infants and children (hereinafter referred to as "infants, etc."). As the plate material, for example, vinyl chloride, polycarbonate, acrylic resin, reinforced plastic, aluminum, reinforced wood, etc. can be used, and it may be transparent in order not to damage the external landscape seen from the veranda, but this is not necessarily required.

[0038] On the fall prevention plate 10, screw insertion holes are formed along the side edges at least on the inner sides of the left and right side edges for fixing to the clamping and fixing device 6. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, one to a plurality of fall prevention plates 10 are fixed and attached above the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 along the horizontal direction of the veranda fence 3 by the clamping and fixing device 6, thereby forming a fall prevention wall 15 along the handrail 4.

[0039] Clamping and fixing device: As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 and 6, the clamping and fixing device 6 includes a clamping and fixing main body 18, a pressing side clamping piece 19, and a pair of fixed back plate pieces 20. The clamping and fixing main body 18 is integrally formed from a main body side clamping piece 21 provided on the lower side and a fixing portion 22 provided on the upper side.

[0040] As shown in FIGS. 3(c), 4(a), and 6, the main body side clamping piece 21 and the pressing side clamping piece 19 of the clamping and fixing main body 18 are placed on the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 via an anti - damage piece 30 (such as a cushion material), and by clamping the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 from above, the clamping and fixing main body 18 and the pressing side clamping piece 19 are fixed to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 on the handrail 4.

[0041] And as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, the clamping and fixing main body 18 sandwiches the fall - prevention plate 10 between a pair of left - and - right fixing pieces 23 and a pair of left - and - right fixing back - plate pieces 20 of its fixing part 22 and is screwed, so that the fall - prevention plate 10 stands up and is fixed above along the veranda fence 3.

[0042] As seen from the inside of the veranda 5 during use, the fixing part 22 of the clamping and fixing main body 18 is formed in an approximately U - shaped overall in a front view as shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 3(a). The main body side clamping piece 21 of the clamping and fixing main body 18 extends downward from a biased part (the left - hand part of the bottom 24 in FIGS. 2 and 3(a)) of the bottom 24 of the fixing part 22 and is formed to stand perpendicular to the outside of the veranda 5 with respect to the plane of the fixing part 22.

[0043] As shown in FIGS. 2 - 4 and 6, a bulging part 35 that protrudes in a curved shape toward the outside of the veranda 5 is formed at the upper part of the main body side clamping piece 21, and a pivot - support hole 37 (see FIG. 2) for inserting a pivot - support shaft 36 is formed in the bulging part 35.

[0044] As shown in FIGS. 3(c) and 4(a), a contact piece 41 with its tip facing outward is pivotally attached to the lower end of the main body side clamping piece 21, and an anti - damage piece (such as a cushion material or rubber material) 42 is attached to the inner surface of the contact piece 41. A bolt hole 43 for fixing the upper part of the reinforcing support plate 11 is formed in the main body side clamping piece 21.

[0045] As shown in FIGS. 2, 3(c), 4(a), and 6, the pressing-side clamping piece 19 has a shape substantially symmetric to the main-body-side clamping piece 21 of the clamping and fixing main body 18. A bulging portion 47 is formed so as to face the bulging portion 35 on the main-body-side clamping piece 21 side, and a pivot hole 48 for inserting the pivot shaft 36 is formed in the bulging portion 47 (see FIG. 2).

[0046] On the upper part of the pressing-side clamping piece 19, a pressed piece 49 is formed which is bent so as to face the veranda 5 side. The pressed piece 49 is configured such that the tip of the pressing bolt 44 screwed into the bolt hole 45 at the bottom 24 of the fixing portion 22 in the clamping and fixing main body 18 is pressed against it.

[0047] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, at the lower end of the pressing-side clamping piece 19, a contact piece 41 is pivotally attached so that the tip faces the inside of the veranda and faces the main-body-side contact piece 41 of the main-body-side clamping piece 21. On the inner surface of the contact piece 41, a damage-preventing piece (cushion material, rubber material, etc.) 42 is attached.

[0048] The main-body-side clamping piece 21 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19 of the clamping and fixing main body 18 having the above configuration form a clamping structure in which the pivot shaft 36 is inserted through the respective pivot holes 37 and 48 of the bulging portion 35 of the main-body-side clamping piece 21 and the bulging portion 47 of the pressing-side clamping piece 19, and they are rotatable with respect to each other.

[0049] As shown in FIGS. 1(b), 3(c), 4(a), and 6, by pushing the pressing bolt 44 against the pressed piece 49, the main-body-side clamping piece 21 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19 can sandwich the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 from above, and the clamping and fixing main body 18 can be attached to the veranda fence 3.

[0050] As shown in FIG. 3(c), the lower parts of the bulging portions 35 and 47 of the main-body-side clamping piece 21 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19 are respectively formed to be recessed, whereby a space 50 is formed below the pivot shaft 36 of the main-body-side clamping piece 21 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19.

[0051] When attaching the clamping and fixing body 18 to the veranda railing 3 by sandwiching the body-side clamping piece 21 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19 of the clamping and fixing body 18 against the column 31 of the veranda railing 3, the upper end portion of the column 31 and the handrail 4 will be accommodated within the space 50.

[0052] As described above, the fixing portion 22 of the clamping and fixing body 18 is formed in an overall substantially U-shape in a front view when viewed from the inside of the veranda as shown in Fig. 3(a). More specifically, the fixing portion 22 is integrally formed from a pair of left and right fixing pieces 23 extending upward and a bottom portion 24 connecting the lower ends on the left and right. A screw hole for inserting a screw is formed in each of the pair of left and right fixing pieces 23 at intervals in the vertical direction.

[0053] As shown in Fig. 3(b), the pair of left and right fixing backplate pieces 20 are formed in substantially the same shape in a front view corresponding to the left and right fixing pieces 23 respectively. In the first embodiment, they are separated from each other so as to be easily aligned with the fixing pieces 23, but they may also be integrally formed in a U-shape. A screw insertion hole is formed in each of the pair of left and right fixing backplate pieces 20 at intervals in the vertical direction corresponding to the screw holes of the left and right fixing pieces 23.

[0054] The left and right fixing pieces 23 and the left and right fixing backplate pieces 20 sandwich and screw the inner portions along the adjacent side edges of the two adjacent fall prevention plates 10 therebetween in a sandwich-like manner as shown in Figs. 1 and 4(a). Thereby, the two adjacent fall prevention plates 10 can be coupled to each other and fixed to the fixing portion 22 of the clamping and fixing body 18 for attachment.

[0055] In such an attachment structure, as shown in Fig. 1(a), the distance L between the left and right fixing pieces 23 is formed to be larger than the gap S for fixing the adjacent fall prevention plates 10. In other words, the gap S for fixing the adjacent fall prevention plates 10 is smaller than the distance L between the left and right fixing pieces 23. Such an attachment structure is a very characteristic configuration of the first embodiment. The reason is as follows.

[0056] When the veranda 5 and the veranda fence 3 are exposed to wind and rain, wind and rain pass into the veranda through the gaps between the adjacent fall prevention plates 10 that are adjacent to each other. However, if the fixing part 22 and the fixed back plate piece 20 are not substantially U-shaped, for example, if they are rectangular, the wind and rain directly hit a larger area of the fixing part 22.

[0057] Since the intensity of wind and rain changes, a force that varies in strength acts on the screwing parts of the adjacent fall prevention plates 10 sandwiched between the fixing part 22 and the fixed back plate piece 20 that are exposed to wind and rain, which causes looseness in the screwing parts.

[0058] Also, if the fixing part 22 and the fixed back plate piece 20 are rectangular, the space between the veranda fences 3 is closed in a larger area, resulting in a poor appearance, and the appearance of the veranda fences 3 and the outside view seen from the veranda side also deteriorates.

[0059] However, as shown in FIG. 1 of Example 1, by making the fixing part 22 U-shaped and setting the distance between the left and right fixing pieces 23 to be larger than the gap between the adjacent fall prevention plates 10, the wind and rain passing through the veranda fence 3 only hits the bottom 24 of the substantially U-shaped fixing part 22 with respect to the fixing part 22.

[0060] Therefore, the force that varies in strength due to wind and rain acts only on a very small area with respect to the fixing part 22, so the occurrence of looseness in the screwing parts is suppressed. Also, when the fixing part 22 is rectangular, only the bottom 24 can be seen through the space between the veranda fences 3, so it looks good.

[0061] As shown in FIG. 2, a bolt hole 45 for screwing a pressing bolt 44 is formed at the bottom 24 of the fixing part 22 in the clamping and fixing body 18. The pressing bolt 44 is screwed in from the bolt hole 45, and as shown in FIGS. 3(c), 4(a), and 6, its tip abuts against and presses the pressed piece 49 of the pressing side clamping piece 19 via a buffer material (not shown), rotates the lower side of the pressing side clamping piece 19 pivoted by the pivot shaft 36 toward the veranda side, and presses the clamping contact piece 41 and the damage prevention piece 42 of the pressing side clamping piece 19 toward the clamping contact piece 41 and the damage prevention piece 42 of the main body side clamping piece 21.

[0062] As shown in FIGS. 1(a) and 2, in order to fix two adjacent fall prevention plates 10 to the clamping and fixing body 18 and connect the two fall prevention plates 10 to each other, the inner sides of the adjacent edges of the two fall prevention plates 10 are used to mount the clamping and fixing body 18 on the column 31 of the veranda fence 3.

[0063] Note that at the lateral end of the veranda fence 3, since there is no other fall prevention plate 10 adjacent to the fall prevention plate 10, the fixing pieces 23 of the fixing part 22 do not form a pair of left and right in a U shape. As shown in FIG. 11(a), they may be substantially in an I shape, and the fixing back plate piece 20 does not need to be a pair of left and right either. It may be a single back plate piece with a shape corresponding to the substantially I-shaped fixing piece 23.

[0064] Although not shown in the drawings, according to the lateral width dimension of the fall prevention plate 10 (such as when the lateral width is longer than the interval between the adjacent columns 31), one or more clamping and fixing devices 6 may be further mounted on the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 at the middle part in the lateral width direction of the fall prevention plate 10, and the fall prevention plate 10 may be further fixed to the veranda fence 3 through the clamping and fixing devices 6 at the middle in the lateral width direction. Although not shown in the drawings, the clamping and fixing devices 6 may be covered with, for example, a plastic cover so as not to be exposed.

[0065] Reinforcing support plate: As shown in FIGS. 1, 4, and 6, the reinforcing support plate 11 is a member that supports and reinforces the clamping and fixing body 18 from the veranda side. As shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 4, and 5, it is integrally formed from a slender substantially rectangular reinforcing support plate main body part 55 in a side view and a reinforcing support plate outer edge end part 56 bent laterally along the outer edge of the reinforcing support plate main body part 55.

[0066] As shown in FIGS. 2, 4(a), 5(a), and 6, elongated holes 57 for inserting bolts are formed vertically along the outer edge near the upper end of the main body portion 55 of the reinforcing support plate. Further, as shown in FIGS. 2, 4, and 5(a), elongated holes 58 for inserting bolts are formed vertically along the inner edge near the lower end of the main body portion 55 of the reinforcing support plate. A plurality (two in the second embodiment) of horizontally long elongated holes 59 for inserting bolts are formed at intervals in the horizontal direction at the lower end of the main body portion 55 of the reinforcing support plate.

[0067] As shown in FIGS. 1(b), 2, 4, and 5, a grounding rod 63 is provided as a member for further supporting the reinforcing support plate 11 from below. The grounding rod 63 is composed of a long and thin plate rod, and bolt holes are formed at intervals in the vertical longitudinal direction.

[0068] As shown in FIGS. 1(b), 4, and 5(a), a grounding piece 64 having an L-shaped vertical cross-section is pivotally attached to the lower end of the grounding rod 63 so as to be rotatable (swingable) inside and outside the grounding rod 63 at its upper end.

[0069] As shown in FIGS. 4(a) and 5(a), a bolt 65 is inserted through the bolt hole 43 of the main body side clamping piece 21 and the elongated hole 57 for inserting bolts of the main body portion 55 of the reinforcing support plate. The upper part of the reinforcing support plate 11 is fixed to the main body side clamping piece 21 by this bolt 65.

[0070] By adjusting the insertion position of the bolt 65 in the elongated hole 57 for inserting bolts of the main body portion 55 of the reinforcing support plate, the mounting height of the reinforcing support plate 11 to the main body side clamping piece 21 can be adjusted.

[0071] Then, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5(a), a bolt 66 is inserted through the elongated hole 58 for inserting bolts of the main body portion 55 of the reinforcing support plate and the bolt hole of the grounding rod 63. The grounding rod 63 is fixed to the lower inner side of the reinforcing support plate 11 by this bolt 66.

[0072] By adjusting the insertion position of the bolt 66 with respect to the long hole 58 for bolt insertion in the reinforcing support plate main body 55, the attachment height of the grounding rod 63 to the reinforcing support plate main body 55 can be adjusted so that the grounding piece 64 is grounded to the bottom of the groove 67 formed along the vicinity of the front edge of the floor of the veranda 5.

[0073] Figures 4 and 5(b) show a tightening structure 74 using a fixture 70 for fixing the reinforcing support plate 11 to the lower part of the column 31 of the veranda fence 3. This fixture 70 includes a tightening piece 71 having a substantially T-shaped horizontal cross section, a back tightening piece 72 having a substantially linear horizontal cross section facing the tightening piece 71, and a pair of tightening bolts 73 (see Figure 5(b)).

[0074] As shown in Figure 5(b), the tightening piece 71 is fixed to the reinforcing support plate 11 with bolts and nuts inserted through the long hole 59 for bolt insertion. Then, the lower part of the column 31 is sandwiched between the tightening piece 71 and the back tightening piece 72 and tightened with the tightening bolts 73. In this way, the clamping and fixing device 6 can be supported from the veranda 5 side by the reinforcing support plate 11 to reinforce the fall prevention wall 15.

[0075] Instead of the fixture 70, as shown in Figure 5(c), a locking piece 77 having a hanging portion 75 that engages with a locking hole 74 formed in the reinforcing support plate 11 on the base end side and a hook portion 76 that engages with the column 31 on the tip end side may be used, and a tightening structure 79 may be adopted in which the locking piece 77 is pulled and fixed with a tightening bolt 78 screwed to the outer edge end portion 56 of the reinforcing support plate.

[0076] (Function) Regarding the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1 having the above configuration, its configuration and function will be further described through aspects such as the mode of installation attached to the veranda fence 3.

[0077] To install the fall prevention device 1 on the veranda fence 3, first, as shown in FIGS. 3(c) and 6, attach the clamping and fixing body 18 to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3. For this purpose, the body-side clamping piece 21 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19 pivotally supported by the pivot shaft 36 are placed on the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 via the damage prevention piece 30 so as to sandwich (straddle) the column 31 from above with the bulging portions 35 and 47 thereon.

[0078] Then, turn the pressing bolt 44 screwed into the bolt hole 45 at the bottom 24 of the fixing portion 22, and press the pressed piece 49 of the pressing-side clamping piece 19 with its tip.

[0079] Then, the lower side of the pressing-side clamping piece 19 rotates toward the body-side clamping piece 21 about the pivot shaft 36, and the body-side clamping piece 21 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19 sandwich the column 31 via the damage prevention pieces 42 and 42 by the abutting pieces 41 and 41 provided at their lower ends respectively. Thereby, the clamping and fixing body 18 and the pressing-side clamping piece 19 are attached to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3.

[0080] Arrange a plurality of clamping and fixing devices 6 corresponding to the plurality of fall prevention plates 10 to be attached to the veranda fence 3, and attach them to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 as described above. As described above, the clamping and fixing device 6 needs to connect two adjacent fall prevention plates 10 to each other, and thus needs to be provided at least at the adjacent portion (the connecting portion of two adjacent fall prevention plates 10) of two adjacent fall prevention plates 10.

[0081] However, as described above, the clamping and fixing device 6 may be configured to further attach one or more to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 in the middle in the lateral width direction of the fall prevention plate 10 according to the length of the lateral width of the fall prevention plate 10, so as to further increase the fixing points of the fall prevention plate 10 in the lateral direction and fix the fall prevention plate 10 more strongly.

[0082] When the clamping and fixing body 18 clamps and holds the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 between its main body side clamping piece 21 and the pressing side clamping piece 19, and the clamping and fixing device 6 is mounted on the column 31, as shown in FIGS. 3(c) and 6, the fixing portion 22 of the clamping and fixing body 18 will be in an upright state upward.

[0083] The fall prevention plate 10 is abutted from the inside of the veranda so as to span the fixing portions 22 of a plurality (at least two) of clamping and fixing bodies 18. Further, on the fall prevention plate 10, a pair of fixing back plate pieces 20 corresponding to the left and right fixing pieces 23 of the fixing portion 22 of the clamping and fixing body 18 are abutted from the inside of the veranda 5. As shown in FIG. 4(a), they are fixed with screws, and the fall prevention plate 10 is sandwiched in a sandwich-like manner between the fixing piece 23 and the fixing back plate piece 20, and stands and is fixed along the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 by the clamping and fixing device 6.

[0084] In this way, by fixing and attaching a plurality of fall prevention plates 10 to the corresponding clamping and fixing devices 6 at intervals from each other, as shown in FIG. 1, above the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3, a plurality of fall prevention plates 10 stand with a gap of a spacing dimension S between adjacent ones of them, and a fall prevention wall 15 formed by being continuously provided is formed. At the end of the veranda fence 3, as described above, as shown in FIG. 11(a), the fall prevention plate 10 may be fixed by the substantially I-shaped fixing piece 23 and the fixing back plate piece 20.

[0085] Next, the reinforcement structure by the reinforcement support plate 11 that supports and reinforces the clamping and fixing body 18 from the veranda 5 side will be described. The reinforcement support plate 11 may be provided for all of a plurality of clamping and fixing bodies 18 respectively according to the installation environment of the veranda (for example, an area with strong wind, the floor of a building such as an apartment, etc.), or may be selectively provided, or may not be provided at all.

[0086] As shown in FIGS. 4(a) and 6, the upper part of the reinforcement support plate main body portion 55 is abutted against the lateral surface of the main body side clamping piece 21, and the bolt 65 is inserted through the long hole 57 for bolt insertion of the reinforcement support plate main body portion 55 and screwed into the bolt hole 43 (see FIG. 2) of the main body side clamping piece 21 to fix the reinforcement support plate 11 to the main body side clamping piece 21.

[0087] By adjusting the insertion position of the bolt into the elongated hole 57 for bolt insertion in the reinforcing support plate main body portion 55, the mounting height of the reinforcing support plate 11 with respect to the main body side clamping piece 21 can be adjusted.

[0088] Then, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5(a), the bolt 66 is inserted through the elongated hole 58 for bolt insertion in the lower part of the reinforcing support plate main body portion 55 and screwed into the bolt hole of the grounding rod 63, and the grounding piece 64 is fixed to the inner lower part of the reinforcing support plate main body portion 55. By adjusting the insertion position of the bolt 66 into the elongated hole 58 for bolt insertion in the reinforcing support plate main body portion 55, the mounting height of the grounding rod 63 with respect to the reinforcing support plate 11 can be adjusted.

[0089] By adjusting in this way, the grounding rod 63 is grounded such that its grounding piece 64 is in the groove 67 formed along the vicinity of the front edge of the floor of the veranda 5. Even if the floor surface of the veranda 5 is provided with grooves 67 or the like and is uneven, the reinforcing support plate 11 is supported from below by the floor surface of the veranda 5 via the grounding rod 63 and the grounding piece 64.

[0090] According to the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1 having the above configuration, the following remarkable operational effects occur. (1) The clamping and fixing device 6 can be clamped and attached to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 using the pressing bolt 44 without providing a spring or the like between the main body side clamping piece 21 and the pressing side clamping piece 19, and the fall prevention plate 10 can be installed on the veranda fence 3. Therefore, the fall prevention device 1 has a small number of parts, a simple structure, simple installation work, and excellent economic efficiency.

[0091] (2) Normally, the wind and rain blow from the outside toward the veranda side (the building side such as an apartment), and an external force toward the veranda side is applied to the fall prevention plate 10. This external force acts to have an adverse effect, such as loosening or removing the attachment of the fall prevention device to the veranda fence, in a conventional fall prevention device.

[0092] As shown by the arrow F in Fig. 10(a), when the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1 receives an external force due to wind and rain blowing from the outside toward the veranda side (the side of an apartment building or the like), even if the external force is in a direction that slightly loosens the pressing for the pressing bolt 44, a moment M in a direction that strengthens the clamping of the column 31 to the main body side clamping piece 21 is given around the pivot shaft 36. Therefore, even if wind and rain blow in, the fall prevention device 1 is unlikely to come off the column 31.

[0093] (3) Since the fixing portion 22 of the clamping and fixing main body 18 is substantially U-shaped in a front view, the area of the fixing portion 22 of the clamping and fixing main body 18 exposed in the gap between the adjacent fall prevention plates 10 is only the bottom portion 24 and is very small.

[0094] Therefore, the area of the fixing portion 22 exposed to wind and rain becomes small, and it is possible to suppress the looseness in the attachment of the clamping and fixing device 6 to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 and the fixing of the fall prevention plate 10 due to wind and rain, maintain the firm attachment of the fall prevention wall 15, and it is difficult to come off.

[0095] (4) As described above, since the area of the fixing portion 22 exposed in the gap between the adjacent fall prevention plates 10 is only the bottom portion 24 and is very small, it is less likely to damage the appearance of the veranda 5 and less likely to damage the landscape when viewed from the outside of the veranda 5 side. Also, since a sufficient gap can be ensured between the adjacent fall prevention plates 10, the ventilation to the veranda side can be maintained.

[0096] (Example 2) An example 2 of the fall prevention device according to the present invention will be described with reference to Figs. 7 to 9. The fall prevention device 81 of Example 2 is the same as the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1 in that it is attached to the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 and includes a clamping and fixing device (in the case of Example 2, the clamping and fixing device 82) for attaching the fall prevention member 2 (in the case of Example 2, a plurality of rotating cylinders 88) to the veranda fence 3.

[0097] Particularly, also in the fall prevention device 81 of Example 2, in the clamping and fixing body 83 of the clamping and fixing device 82, the column 31 of the veranda fence 3 is clamped by the main body side clamping piece 21 and the pressing side clamping piece 19, and they are common in a novel configuration that exhibits remarkable operational effects.

[0098] By adopting such a configuration, the same operational effects as in Example 1 occur. That is, in the fall prevention device 81 of Example 2, when the rotating cylinder 88 that constitutes the fall prevention member 2 receives an external force such as wind and rain blowing from the outside toward the veranda side (the side of an apartment building, etc.) as indicated by the arrow F in Fig. 10(b), even if the external force slightly relaxes the pressing force by the pressing bolt 44, it gives a moment M in the direction of strengthening the clamping of the column 31 by the main body side clamping piece 21 around the pivot shaft 36. Therefore, even when wind and rain blow in, the fall prevention device 81 is difficult to come off from the column 31. In Example 2, it is preferable that the rotating cylinder 88 has a larger diameter so that it is difficult for an infant to grip. However, if the diameter is large, it is more likely to receive wind and rain, etc. But as described above, since it also has strength against external forces such as wind and rain, the diameter of the rotating cylinder 88 can be increased.

[0099] However, in Example 2, the fall prevention member 2 fixed to the clamping and fixing body 83 of the clamping and fixing device 82 is not the fall prevention plate 10 but a plurality of rotating cylinders 88, and in that a plurality of rotating cylinders 88 are connected in series in the lateral width direction of the veranda fence 3 to form the fall prevention rotating frame 84, it is different from Example 1.

[0100] Therefore, regarding the fall prevention device 81 of Example 2, the description will focus on the rotating cylinder 88 and the fall prevention rotating frame 84 that constitute the fall prevention member 2 different from the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1, and the configuration of the fixing portion 90 of the clamping and fixing body 83 to which the rotating cylinder 88 is rotatably attached. The same reference numerals are used for the parts common to Example 1.

[0101] As shown in FIGS. 7, 8, and 9, the fall prevention rotating frame 84 includes a rotating cylinder 88 provided along the lateral width direction of the veranda fence 3, and a support shaft 89 inserted into the rotating cylinder 88 and pivotally supported rotatably. The rotating cylinder 88 is formed of a material such as vinyl chloride, plastic, or stainless steel, and the support shaft 89 is formed of a material such as a stainless steel pipe.

[0102] As shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, with the support shaft 89 inserted into the rotating cylinder 88, the diameter of the rotating cylinder 88 is made larger than the diameter of the support shaft 89 so that the rotating cylinder 88 and the support shaft 89 are eccentric (not concentric) with each other. For example, the diameter of the rotating cylinder 88 is 80 mm and the diameter of the support shaft is 50 mm.

[0103] With such a configuration, the rotating cylinder 88 is eccentrically supported by the support shaft 89. Even if an attempt is made to grip its outer peripheral surface, the rotating cylinder 88 rotates because it is eccentrically supported by the support shaft 89.

[0104] That is, the fall prevention device 81 of Example 2 is configured such that the support shaft 89 and the rotating cylinder 88 are not concentric but eccentric and rotatable under the idea of reverse rotation, without making the rotating handrail concentric as in the conventional example. The merits of this will be described later.

[0105] As shown in FIG. 7(a), the rotating cylinder 88 has a length that just fits within the interval between adjacent columns 31 of the veranda fence 3. In short, the rotating cylinders 88 are provided between a plurality of columns of the veranda fence 3 and connected in series to form the fall prevention rotating frame 84 as a whole.

[0106] The clamping and fixing body 83 has the same body-side clamping piece 21 as in Example 1, but its fixing portion 90 protrudes from the upper part of the clamping and fixing body 83 toward the veranda side as shown in FIGS. 7 to 9.

[0107] As shown in FIG. 9, this fixing portion 90 has a fixing hole 91 formed therein, and a support shaft 89 is inserted into and fixed to this fixing hole 91. The support shaft 89 is configured such that both ends thereof extend toward the direction of another clamping and fixing main body 83 mounted on a support column 31 adjacent in the longitudinal direction of the veranda fence 3.

[0108] More specifically, the support shaft 89 is inserted through and fixed to the fixing hole 91 of the fixing portion 90 of the clamping and fixing main body 83 mounted on the support column 31 of the veranda fence 3. One end thereof extends horizontally and laterally toward the clamping and fixing main body 83 mounted on the adjacent support column 31, and the other end thereof is fixed so as to extend horizontally and in the opposite lateral direction toward another clamping and fixing main body 83 mounted on the other adjacent support column 31.

[0109] In this way, two adjacent support shafts 89 fixed to the fixing portions 90 of the clamping and fixing main bodies 83 mounted on adjacent support columns 31 are provided facing each other. And as shown in FIG. 7, the rotating cylinder 88 is inserted through and rotatably supported by two support shafts 89, 89 facing each other from both end sides thereof.

[0110] Note that at the lateral end of the veranda fence 3, since there is no other rotating cylinder 88 adjacent to the rotating cylinder 88, the support shaft 89 is not configured to insert and fix its central portion into the fixing hole 91. Instead, as shown in FIG. 11(b), only one end thereof is fixed to the fixing hole 91 of the fixing portion 90 at the lateral end of the veranda fence 3, and the support shaft 89 may be inserted into the rotating cylinder 88 and supported so as to be eccentric and rotatable.

[0111] (Operation) The fall prevention device 81 of Example 2 having the above configuration will be described through aspects such as the mode of attachment and installation to the veranda fence 3 to make its configuration and operation clearer.

[0112] In the fall prevention device 81 of the second embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7, the clamping and fixing main body 83 is attached to the support columns 31 provided at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the veranda fence 3. And the support shaft 89 is inserted and fixed into the fixing hole 91 of the fixing portion 90 of the clamping and fixing main body 83, and is provided horizontally along the veranda fence 3.

[0113] By the support shaft 89 provided horizontally along the veranda fence 3, the rotating cylinder 88 is rotatably attached to all of the spaces between the adjacent support columns 31 along the veranda fence 3 by the adjacent support shafts 89 facing each other from both ends thereof. At the end of the veranda fence 3, as described above, as shown in FIG. 11(b), only one end of the support shaft 89 may be fixed to the fixing hole 91 of the fixing portion 90 at the lateral end of the veranda fence 3, and the support shaft 89 may be inserted into the rotating cylinder 88 and eccentrically and rotatably supported.

[0114] In this fall prevention device 81 of the second embodiment, the clamping and fixing main body 83 can be easily and strongly attached to the support column 31 of the veranda fence 3 as in the case of the first embodiment. Further, since the rotating cylinder 88 can be rotated by being inserted through the support shaft 89 fixed to the clamping and fixing main body 83 without being concentric, the structure is simpler compared with the conventional examples such as Patent Documents 3 and 4, and the attachment to the veranda fence 3 is also easy.

[0115] Even if an infant or the like tries to climb over the veranda fence 3 by putting a hand on the outer peripheral surface of the rotating cylinder 88 on the veranda, the rotating cylinder 88 is eccentrically supported by the support shaft 89 as shown in FIG. 9 and rotates. Therefore, it is possible to prevent climbing over the veranda fence 3. In particular, it is optimal for preventing the fall of infants with a low height.

[0116] Note that FIG. 8(b) shows the main part of a modified example of the second embodiment. As shown in this modified example, the pressing bolt 92 of the clamping device 82 may be screwed to the pressing-side clamping piece 19 on the opposite side instead of the main-body-side clamping piece 21 so as to press the main-body-side clamping piece 21.

[0117] Incidentally, regarding Example 2 as well, in the same manner as in Example 1, an external force due to wind and rain blowing from the outside toward the veranda side (the side of an apartment or the like) acts on the fall prevention rotating frame 84 toward the veranda side.

[0118] However, since the fall prevention device 81 of Example 2 also adopts the main body side clamping piece 21 and the pressing side clamping piece 19 of the clamping and fixing main body 83 having the same configuration as in Example 1, this external force is made to act as a moment toward the support column 31 as shown in FIG. 10(b) in the same manner as in Example 1 and is received by the support column 31. Therefore, even when wind and rain blow in, the fall prevention device 81 is not easily detached from the support column 31.

[0119] Further, in Example 2, clamping and fixing devices 82 are respectively attached to adjacent support columns 31, and a support shaft 89 is fixed therethrough to the fixing portion 90. The rotating cylinder 88 is configured such that support shafts 89 fixed to adjacent support shafts 89 are inserted from both ends and is rotatably supported.

[0120] And, as described above, the diameter of the rotating cylinder 88 is larger than the diameter of the support shaft 89, but the diameter of the rotating cylinder 88 and the diameter of the support shaft 89 are completely opposite to the configuration of being concentric in the conventional example, and a gap is formed between the two and they are respectively formed to have dimensions such that they are eccentric (for example, refer to a diameter of 80 mm for the rotating cylinder 88 and a diameter of 50 mm for the support shaft 89, etc.). By adopting such a configuration, extremely remarkable operational effects are produced as follows.

[0121] (1) The rotating cylinder 88 is eccentrically supported by the support shaft 89. However, even if an infant or the like tries to grip its outer peripheral surface, the rotating cylinder 88 rotates because it is eccentrically supported by the support shaft 89. Therefore, it prevents climbing over the veranda fence 3.

[0122] (2) It is not necessary to pay attention to manufacturing the rotating cylinder 88 and the support shaft 89 to be exactly concentric, and it is also not necessary to provide a bearing between the rotating cylinder 88 and the support shaft 89. Therefore, the configuration is simple, the manufacturing is easy, and it is economical.

[0123] (3) Compared with the configuration where the rotating cylinder 88 and the support shaft 89 are exactly concentric, since the contact area between them is small, problems such as difficulty in rotation due to a large contact area are suppressed. In particular, it suppresses situations where smooth rotation is inhibited, such as when the contact surface deteriorates over time.

[0124] (4) It is preferable that the rotating cylinder 88 has a larger diameter dimension because it becomes difficult to be grasped by the hands of infants or the like. However, the support shaft 89 requires a material with high strength, and its price is high. When the rotating cylinder 88 and the support shaft 89 are concentric, if the rotating cylinder 88 has a larger diameter, the support shaft 89 also needs to have a larger diameter dimension in proportion, which makes it expensive.

[0125] However, in the second embodiment, since the rotating cylinder 88 is configured to be rotatably supported eccentrically with respect to the support shaft 89, even if the rotating cylinder 88 has a large diameter dimension, the support shaft 89 does not need to have a large diameter dimension in proportion to the rotating cylinder 88 as long as it can support the rotating cylinder 88 in terms of strength. Therefore, the fall prevention member 2 can be economically made inexpensive, and it can be made difficult to be grasped by the hands of infants or the like.

[0126] (5) Since the rotating cylinder 88 has a larger diameter than the support shaft 89 and is supported eccentrically, when an external force due to wind and rain acts from the outside of the veranda, a part of the external force is consumed as energy to eccentrically rotate the rotating cylinder 88 around the support shaft 89 (a part of the external force is dissipated).

[0127] (6) It is better for the rotating cylinder 88 to have a larger diameter so that it is difficult for infants to grasp. However, if the diameter is large, it is more likely to receive wind and rain, etc. However, as described above, the clamping and fixing device 82 of the second embodiment is not easily detached from the support column 31 even against external forces such as wind and rain, so the diameter of the rotating cylinder 88 can be appropriately increased.

[0128] Therefore, compared with the configuration where the rotating handrail is supported concentrically by the support shaft as in the conventional example, the force directly acting on the support shaft 89 by the rotating cylinder 88 due to the external force is reduced, so the damage and deterioration over time of the rotating cylinder 88 and the support shaft 89 are reduced.

[0129] (Example 3) Example 3 of the fall prevention device according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 12 to 14. The fall prevention device 101 of Example 3 is the same as the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1 in that it is attached to the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 and includes a clamping and fixing device 6 for attaching the fall prevention member 2 (in the case of Example 3, the fall prevention fence 102) to the veranda fence 3.

[0130] However, in Example 3, the fall prevention member 2 fixed to the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 via the clamping and fixing device 6 is different from Example 1 in that it is not the fall prevention plate 10 but the fall prevention fence 102.

[0131] Therefore, for the fall prevention device 101 of Example 3, the fall prevention fence 102, which is a fall prevention member 2 different from the fall prevention device 1 of Example 1, and the configuration of the fixing portion 110 for attaching the fall prevention fence 102 to the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 via the clamping and fixing device 6 will be mainly described. The same reference numerals are used for the parts common to Example 1.

[0132] The fall prevention member 2 of Example 2 is the fall prevention fence 102 as shown in FIGS. 12 to 14. This fall prevention fence 102 includes a horizontally arranged upper frame 103 and a lower frame 104, and a plurality of vertical bars 105 provided at regular intervals in the horizontal direction between the upper frame 103 and the lower frame 104.

[0133] The fall prevention fence 102, which is the fall prevention member 2, is fixed and attached to the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 via the clamping and fixing device 6 in the same manner as in Example 1, as shown in FIGS. 12 to 14.

[0134] The clamping and fixing device 6 is substantially the same as that of Example 1, and includes a pressing-side clamping piece 19 and a main-body-side clamping piece 21 pivotally supported by each other by a pivot shaft 36, as shown in FIGS. 13 and 14. The main-body-side clamping piece 21 is fixed to the upper end of the reinforcing support plate 11 and provided in the same manner as in Example 1.

[0135] The mounting of the handrail 4 of the veranda fence with the clamping fixture 6 clamps the handrail 4 of the veranda fence from above by the pressing-side clamping piece 19 and the main-body-side clamping piece 21. Then, the pressing bolt 44 is rotated, and the pressed piece provided on the pressing-side clamping piece 19 is pressed by the tip thereof, and the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3 is clamped by both clamping pieces 19 and 21. Thereby, the clamping fixture 6 is attached to the handrail 4 of the veranda fence 3.

[0136] By the way, in the first embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 4(a), a fixing portion 22 is attached to the clamping and fixing main body 18 provided with the main-body-side clamping piece 21, and the fall prevention member 2 (fall prevention plate 10) is attached to the fixing piece 23.

[0137] However, in the third embodiment, unlike the first embodiment, the fall prevention member 2 (fall prevention fence 102) is not attached to the main-body-side clamping piece 21 side. That is, in the third embodiment, unlike the first embodiment, the fixing portion 22 is not attached to the main-body-side clamping piece 21 (FIGS. 1 to 3).

[0138] Instead, in the third embodiment, a fixing portion 110 is attached to the upper end portion of the pressing-side clamping piece 19, and the fall prevention fence 103 (fall prevention member 2) is attached to the handrail 4 via the clamping fixture 6 by this fixing portion 110.

[0139] As shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, the fixing portion 110 includes an elongated fixing plate 111 in the vertical direction. The fixing plate 111 is formed by bending both side edge portions 112 along both edges thereof, and has a substantially concave horizontal cross section. The fixing plate 111 is fixed to the upper end portion of the pressing-side clamping piece 19 with a bolt 113 at the lower end portion thereof.

[0140] Upper frame gripping portions 116 and lower frame gripping portions 117 for fitting and gripping the upper frame 103 and the lower frame 104 of the fall prevention fence 102 are provided at the upper and lower end portions of the side surface of the fixing plate 111, respectively. Both the upper frame gripping portion 116 and the lower frame gripping portion 117 have a concave vertical cross section and are symmetrically provided so as to face each other vertically.

[0141] The upper frame 103 and the lower frame 104 of the fall prevention fence are respectively fitted and held by the upper frame gripping part 116 and the lower frame gripping part 117, and as shown in FIGS. 12 to 14, they are attached above along the handrail 4 of the veranda.

[0142] According to the configuration of Example 3, similar to Example 1, the fall prevention member 2 (fall prevention fence 102) can be easily and firmly fixed above the existing veranda fence 3.

[0143] Also, if the fall prevention member 2 is the fall prevention fence 102, even in the case of strong winds and heavy rains, it will not receive the wind and rain on its entire surface, so it is also preferable for the weather environment. In that sense, instead of the vertical bars 105 of the fall prevention fence 102, although not shown in the figure, a net, a perforated plate, etc. that prevent infants from slipping out may be used.

[0144] Modification 1: A first modification of the reinforcement structure by the reinforcement support plate 11 in Examples 1 to 3 will be described with reference to FIGS. 15 and 16.

[0145] In the reinforcement structure of Modification 1, similar to Examples 1 to 3, it includes a reinforcement support plate 11 and a grounding rod 63 that abuts against the groove 67 (or the floor) of the veranda and supports the reinforcement support plate 11 from below (see FIGS. 15 and 16).

[0146] The upper part of the reinforcement support plate 11 is fixed to the body-side clamping piece 21 as shown in FIG. 15a. This fixing is the same as the configuration of Examples 1 to 3, and by adjusting the insertion position of the bolt 65 in the long hole 57 for bolt insertion of the reinforcement support plate main body part 55, the attachment height of the reinforcement support plate 11 to the body-side clamping piece 21 can be adjusted (see FIGS. 2, 4(a), and 15(a)).

[0147] Then, as shown in FIGS. 15 and 16, a bolt 66 is inserted and screwed through the long hole 58 for bolt insertion of the reinforcement support plate 11 and the bolt hole (not shown) of the grounding rod 63. By this bolt 66, the grounding rod 63 is fixed to the inner lower part of the reinforcement support plate 11 with an adjustable attachment height.

[0148] As shown in FIGS. 15 and 16, the lower end of the grounding rod 63 is horizontally bent to form a bottom portion 120. A small engaging hole 121 is formed in the bottom portion 120. The bottom portion 120 is adhered and fixed to the surface of the veranda groove 67 (or the floor) via the contact plate 122 and the double-sided adhesive tape 123.

[0149] As shown in FIGS. 15(b) and 16, a protrusion 124 is provided upward on the upper surface of the contact plate 122. This protrusion 124 engages with the engaging hole 121 of the bottom portion 120 so that the bottom portion 120 does not shift from the contact plate 122. With such a configuration, the grounding rod 63 supports the reinforcing support plate 11 from below.

[0150] In addition, in the reinforcing structure of Modification 1, although the reinforcing support plate 11 stands upward along the column 31 of the existing veranda fence 3, the outer edge end portion 56 (the portion bent laterally along the outer edge of the reinforcing support plate 11) may be fixed with bolts 40 as shown in FIG. 16 in a state of being in contact with the column 31 of the veranda fence.

[0151] Modification 2: A second modification of the reinforcing structure by the reinforcing support plate 11 in Embodiments 1 to 3 will be described with reference to FIGS. 17 and 18. In the reinforcing structure of Modification 2, similar to Embodiments 1 to 3, it includes a reinforcing support plate 11 and a grounding rod 63 that contacts the veranda groove 67 (or the floor) and supports the reinforcing support plate 11 from below (see FIGS. 17 and 18(a)).

[0152] The upper part of the reinforcing support plate 11 is fixed to the main body side clamping piece 21 as shown in FIG. 17a. This fixing is the same as the reinforcing structure of Embodiments 1 to 3, and by adjusting the insertion position of the bolt 65 in the long hole 57 for bolt insertion of the main body portion 55 of the reinforcing support plate 11, the mounting height of the reinforcing support plate 11 to the main body side clamping piece 21 can be adjusted.

[0153] Then, as shown in FIGS. 17 and 18, a bolt 66 is inserted through and screwed into the long hole 58 for bolt insertion of the reinforcing support plate 11 and a bolt hole (not shown) of the grounding rod 63. By this bolt 66, the grounding rod 63 is fixed to the lower inner part of the reinforcing support plate 11 with an adjustable mounting height.

[0154] As shown in FIGS. 17(b), (c) and 18, the reinforcing structure of Modification 2 is characterized in that the reinforcing support plate 11 is fixed to the ribbed edge 132 of the concrete on the floor of the veranda 5 by the foot fixture 131.

[0155] Note that the presence or absence of the ribbed edge 132 varies depending on the structure of the veranda 5. Along the outer edge of the veranda 5, on the floor of the veranda 5, a vertical cross-section is formed in a convex shape (see FIGS. 17 and 18). Usually, the lower end of the column 31 of the existing veranda fence 3 is fixed to this and stands upright (see FIGS. 17(a) and (c)).

[0156] As shown in FIGS. 17(b), (c) and 18, the foot fixture 131 includes a fastening piece 134 with a concave vertical cross-section, an auxiliary piece 135 with a crank-shaped vertical cross-section, a contact piece 137, an intervening rubber 138, and an L-shaped metal fitting 139 that is L-shaped in a horizontal view.

[0157] In the reinforcing structure of Modification 2, as shown in FIGS. 17(b), (c) and 18, the fastening piece 134 is covered on the ribbed edge 132 via the intervening rubber 138. The auxiliary piece 135 is placed on the inner end side of the fastening piece 134.

[0158] As shown in FIGS. 17(b), (c) and 18, a bolt 145 passes through a through hole 146 formed in the inner vertical lower part 136 of the auxiliary piece 135 and is screwed into a screw hole 147 formed in the fastening piece 134. At its tip, the contact piece 137 is pressed against the ribbed edge 132 of the concrete via the intervening rubber 138.

[0159] Furthermore, a nut 148 is screwed onto the head side of the bolt 145, and by tightening this nut 148 toward the inner vertical lower portion 136 of the auxiliary piece 135, the fastening piece 13 is fastened and fixed to the convex rib edge portion 132 of the concrete via the interposed rubber 138 together with the auxiliary piece 135 and the contact piece 137. As a result, the reinforcing support plate 11 is fixed to the convex rib edge portion 132 of the concrete via the foot fixing tool 131.

[0160] The inner end side of the L-shaped metal fitting 139 abuts against the lower end portion of the reinforcing support plate 11 and is fixed by a bolt 150 (see FIGS. 17(b) and (c)). The outer end side of the L-shaped metal fitting 139 is formed with an elongated hole 141, abuts against the outer vertical upper portion 140 of the auxiliary piece 135, and a bolt 142 is inserted through the elongated hole 141, and the horizontal position is adjusted and fixed (see FIG. 18(a)).

[0161] According to the reinforcing structure of Modification 2 having such a configuration, the lower portion of the reinforcing support plate 11 is firmly fixed and supported by the convex rib edge portion 132 of the concrete via the foot fixing tool 131 and can stand up.

[0162] As described above, the embodiments for implementing the fall prevention device according to the present invention have been described based on Example 1 and Example 2. However, the present invention is not limited to such examples, and it goes without saying that there are various examples within the scope of the technical matters described in the claims.
