Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to a fragrance composition containing a colorant, in which the fading of the colorant due to light exposure is suppressed.

Background Art

[0002] To create a comfortable space by dispersing fragrance indoors and the like, fragrance compositions containing a fragrance are widely used. In addition, various colorants are added to the fragrance composition to impart a vivid color tone, and efforts are made to satisfy the preferences of consumers.

[0003] Normally, a fragrance composition is filled in a container having a transparent part so that its color tone and the remaining amount during use can be confirmed and used. However, when filled in such a container and used, there is a problem that the pigment in the fragrance composition fades over time due to light exposure such as sunlight irradiation, and the good appearance at the start of use cannot be maintained. To make the fading of the pigment in the fragrance composition less noticeable, it can be dealt with by blending a large amount of the pigment or filling it in a light-shielding container. However, such methods have drawbacks such as the color tone to be imparted being restricted or the color tone of the fragrance becoming unrecognizable.

[0004] Therefore, conventionally, fragrance compositions containing a colorant and capable of suppressing the fading of the colorant due to light exposure have been reported. For example, in Patent Document 1, it is disclosed that a fragrance composition containing (A) a xanthene-based dye component having a nitrogen atom and (B) an aldehyde-based fragrance component, and containing 1 to 600 moles of the (B) component per mole of the (A) component, can suppress the fading of the pigment due to light exposure. Although Patent Document 1 discloses an effective method for suppressing the fading of the colorant in the fragrance composition, due to restrictions on the colorant and fragrance to be blended, there is a need to develop a technology for suppressing the fading of the colorant due to light exposure regardless of the type of the colorant and fragrance.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED BY THE INVENTION

[0006] An object of the present invention is to provide an aromatic composition containing a colorant and suppressing the fading of the colorant due to light exposure.

[0007] The present inventor conducted intensive studies to solve the above problems and found that in an aromatic composition, by blending an ultraviolet absorber and a radical scavenger together with a fragrance and a colorant, the fading of the colorant due to light exposure can be effectively suppressed. The present invention has been completed by further studies based on such findings.

[0008] That is, the present invention provides an invention in the following aspects. Item 1. An aromatic composition containing (A) a fragrance, (B) a colorant, (C) an ultraviolet absorber, and (D) a radical scavenger. Item 2. The aromatic composition according to Item 1, wherein (C) the ultraviolet absorber is at least one selected from the group consisting of benzotriazole-based ultraviolet absorbers, triazine-based ultraviolet absorbers, and benzophenone-based ultraviolet absorbers. Item 3. The aromatic composition according to Item 1 or 2, wherein two or more kinds of (C) ultraviolet absorbers are contained. Item 4. The aromatic composition according to Item 3, wherein (C) the ultraviolet absorber contains any one of the following combinations (1) to (3). (1) A combination of at least one benzotriazole-based ultraviolet absorber and at least one triazine-based ultraviolet absorber. (2) A combination of at least one benzotriazole-based ultraviolet absorber and at least one benzophenone-based ultraviolet absorber. (3) A combination of at least one triazine-based ultraviolet absorber and at least one benzophenone-based ultraviolet absorber. Item 5. The fragrance composition according to any one of Items 1 to 4, wherein the radical scavenger is a hindered amine-based radical scavenger and / or a hindered phenol-based radical scavenger. Item 6. A method for suppressing fading of a fragrance composition containing a colorant and a fragrance due to light exposure, comprising: coexisting (A) a fragrance, (B) a colorant, (C) an ultraviolet absorber, and (D) a radical scavenger in the fragrance composition.

Advantages of the Invention

[0009] According to the fragrance composition of the present invention, fading of the dye due to light exposure is suppressed, and a vivid color tone similar to that at the start of use can be maintained even after long-term use. Therefore, even when the liquid fragrance composition of the present invention is filled and used in a container having a transparent portion, the desired color tone can be maintained, and an excellent design effect can be sustained.

By using such a diffuser, the diffusion member sucks up and volatilizes the liquid fragrance composition of the present invention, and the fragrance can be efficiently volatilized into the space.

[0053] In addition, since the fading of the dye due to light exposure is suppressed in the fragrance composition of the present invention, it can also be used by being housed in a transparent container through which the inside can be visually recognized. Each of the obtained fragrance compositions was filled into a transparent glass container and sealed, and stored indoors under sunlight for 4 weeks during the day. After 4 weeks of storage, the color tone of each fragrance composition was visually observed, and the change in color tone before and after storage was evaluated according to the following criteria. <Criteria for Judgment> 5: No fading is observed after storage, and there is no change in color tone before and after storage. 4: Slight fading is observed after storage, but the same color tone as before storage can be maintained. 3: Slight fading is observed after storage, and the color tone has changed slightly compared to before storage, but it is at a level that is practically acceptable. 2: Obvious fading is observed after storage, and the color tone has clearly changed compared to before storage. 1: The color of the coloring agent has completely disappeared.

[0059] The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2. In the fragrance compositions containing a fragrance and a colorant, when only one of an ultraviolet absorber or a radical scavenger was contained, obvious discoloration was observed after storage (Comparative Examples 1 to 6). In particular, when an anthraquinone-based dye (blue) or a tar-based dye (red) was used as the colorant, the discoloration after storage was remarkable (Comparative Examples 1 to 5).

[0060] On the other hand, in the fragrance compositions containing a fragrance and a colorant, when both an ultraviolet absorber and a radical scavenger were contained, the discoloration after storage could be effectively suppressed (Examples 1 to 14). In particular, when two or more kinds of ultraviolet absorbers were used, the discoloration suppressing effect after storage was extremely remarkable (Examples 8 to 14).
