Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an aerosol composition.

Background Art

[0002] Aerosol cosmetics can be used by discharging the cosmetic, which is an aerosol stock solution, in a foamy form, and thus have the advantage of being easily spread on the skin or hair. Care components according to desired performance and uses are formulated in the aerosol stock solution. For example, when the aerosol cosmetic is a hair cosmetic such as a rinse, a treatment agent, or a conditioning agent, a cationic surfactant is used for the purpose of imparting a conditioning effect, and a higher alcohol is formulated for the purpose of imparting a smooth feeling in use and a good finish. It is known that by formulating a cationic surfactant and a higher alcohol at a high concentration, the care feeling of the hair can be further improved.

[0003] As an aerosol cosmetic containing a care component, for example, Patent Document 1 discloses an aerosol foam dispenser containing a concentrated hair care composition containing oil, a high melting point aliphatic compound, a propellant, a fragrance, and water in predetermined amounts and satisfying predetermined requirements. And it is described that a concentrated and ultra-low viscosity composition can be delivered to the hair in the form of foam and sufficient administration is possible, while on the other hand, the problem that the high melting point aliphatic compound accumulates on the hair and the hair becomes heavy can be improved when used multiple times.

[0004] Patent Document 1 discloses only chemically inert hydrocarbons as aerosol propellants, but aerosol compositions using carbon dioxide as a propellant are also known. When carbon dioxide is used as an aerosol propellant, for example, creamy and elastic textured foam can be discharged as compared with hydrocarbon gases, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), etc. On the other hand, it is known that when carbon dioxide is used as an aerosol propellant, the storage stability of the aerosol composition tends to decrease due to the coexistence of carbon dioxide.

[0005] As a technique for solving this problem, for example, Patent Document 2 discloses an aerosol composition containing a cationic surfactant containing a mono-long-chain alkyl type cationic surfactant and a linear saturated higher alcohol, wherein the content of the cationic surfactant and the molar ratio of the linear saturated higher alcohol to the mono-long-chain alkyl type cationic surfactant are within predetermined ranges, and an aerosol composition containing a propellant containing carbon dioxide. By using this composition, it is disclosed that while containing an aerosol stock solution with a high concentration of a cationic surfactant and a higher alcohol and a propellant containing carbon dioxide, the composition has excellent storage stability. Further, Patent Document 3 discloses an oral aerosol agent containing a stock solution containing a predetermined amount of hydroxyalkylcellulose and water, wherein the content of a specific thickener is not more than a predetermined value and the viscosity is within a predetermined range, and a propellant containing 80% by mass or more of carbon dioxide. It is disclosed that by using a propellant containing carbon dioxide, high storage stability can be ensured in a wide temperature range from low temperature to high temperature, and the foam retention of the sprayed foam can be enhanced.

Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0007] In an aerosol composition using carbon dioxide as a propellant, it is important to have excellent storage stability and to easily exhibit a sense of care. In the aerosol composition disclosed in Patent Document 2, an aerosol stock solution containing care components such as a cationic surfactant and a higher alcohol at a high concentration and a propellant containing carbon dioxide are used. However, in the aerosol composition containing care components at a high concentration, the injection amount per injection operation tends to decrease as the number of injections increases. In the aerosol composition according to the prior art, there is room for improvement in terms of improving both the care feeling and the injectability. Further, in Patent Document 3, hydroxyalkyl cellulose is used as a thickener, but care components are not blended, and no consideration has been given at all to improving both the care feeling and the injectability. The present invention relates to providing an aerosol composition excellent in storage stability and care feeling and having good injectability.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0008] The present inventors have found that an aerosol composition containing an aerosol stock solution containing a cationic surfactant, a higher alcohol, and a specific nonionic polymer at a predetermined ratio and a propellant containing carbon dioxide can solve the above problems. That is, the present invention relates to the following components (A) to (C): (A) Cationic surfactant (B) Higher alcohol (C) Nonionic polymer having a cellulose skeleton An aerosol composition containing an aerosol stock solution containing the above components and (D) a propellant containing carbon dioxide, wherein the mass ratio [(C) / ((A)+(B))] of the content of the component (C) to the total content of the component (A) and the component (B) is 0.038 or more and 0.80 or less.

Effects of the Invention

[0009] According to the present invention, an aerosol composition excellent in storage stability and care feeling and having good injectability can be provided.

Modes for Carrying Out the Invention

[0010] [Aerosol Composition] The aerosol composition of the present invention (hereinafter also simply referred to as "the composition of the present invention") comprises the following components (A) to (C): (A) Cationic surfactant (B) Higher alcohol (C) Nonionic polymer having a cellulose backbone An aerosol composition containing an aerosol stock solution containing the above components and (D) a propellant containing carbon dioxide, wherein the mass ratio [(C) / ((A)+(B))] of the content of the component (C) to the total content of the component (A) and the component (B) is 0.038 or more and 0.80 or less. The aerosol composition of the present invention is excellent in storage stability and care feeling and has good sprayability. In this specification, "good care feeling" means that when the aerosol composition is a hair cosmetic composition, the care feeling of the hair, for example, the touch of the hair during rinsing is good. When the aerosol composition is a skin cosmetic composition, it means that the touch after application is good. Also, in this specification, "good sprayability" means that the spray amount of the aerosol per spray operation is large. These can be specifically evaluated by the methods described in the examples. In the present invention, "containing component X" or "comprising component X" also means "formed by blending component X".

[0011] Although the reason why the aerosol composition of the present invention exhibits the effects of the present invention due to the above configuration is not clear, it is presumed as follows. The aerosol stock solution used in the aerosol composition of the present invention contains a cationic surfactant (A) (hereinafter also simply referred to as "component (A)"), a higher alcohol (B) (hereinafter also simply referred to as "component (B)"), and a nonionic polymer (C) having a cellulose backbone (hereinafter also simply referred to as "component (C)"). The cationic surfactant (A) is used to impart a desired care feeling according to the application of the aerosol composition. Similarly, when the higher alcohol (B) is blended in the hair cosmetic composition, the care feeling of the hair can be improved. That is, both the component (A) and the component (B) act as care components. It is considered that the component (A) and the component (B) are emulsified and dispersed in the aerosol stock solution and can form an α-gel structure. The formation of the α-gel structure can be confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Specifically, in wide-angle X-ray diffraction, when at least one sharp diffraction peak appears in the vicinity of Bragg angle = 21 - 22°, it can be determined that the α-gel structure is formed. When the component (A) and the component (B) form a stable α-gel, it is considered that even when the propellant (D) containing carbon dioxide is used, the decrease in storage stability can be suppressed.

[0012] The nonionic polymer (C) having a cellulose backbone improves the care feeling and sprayability of the aerosol composition by having a cellulose backbone, and further improves the stability of the above α-gel, and is considered to have an effect of suppressing the separation of the aerosol composition even under the use of the propellant (D) containing carbon dioxide. And when the mass ratio [(C) / ((A)+(B))] in the aerosol stock solution is 0.038 or more, the care feeling and the effect of improving the storage stability due to the stabilization of the above α-gel become good, and when it is 0.80 or less, it is considered that the increase in the viscosity of the aerosol stock solution can be suppressed and good sprayability can be maintained.

[0013] The carbon dioxide used as the propellant (D) has higher foaming properties than liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and higher solubility in water compared to other propellants such as nitrogen. Therefore, when carbon dioxide is used as the propellant, it is considered that fine and dense bubbles containing carbon dioxide gas can be discharged. Furthermore, since an α-gel composed of the cationic surfactant (A) and the higher alcohol (B), which are care components, aggregates at the gas-liquid interface of the discharged bubbles, when the discharged bubbles are brought into contact with the object, a high concentration of care components can be supplied to the object, and a good care feeling can be expressed.

[0014] Although the use of the aerosol composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, from the viewpoint of obtaining an effect of improving the care feeling by the cationic surfactant (A) and the higher alcohol (B), it is preferably a hair cosmetic composition. If it is within the above preferred viscosity range, it can be measured with a rotor: T-C and a rotation speed: 10 rpm.

[0050] <Component (D): Propellant> The propellant (D) constituting the aerosol composition of the present invention contains carbon dioxide. By containing carbon dioxide as component (D), fine and dense foam can be discharged. Further, when the discharged foam is brought into contact with an object, it is considered that a high-concentration care component can be supplied to the object, and a good care feeling can be exhibited.

[0051] From the viewpoints of improving the foam quality of the aerosol composition and enhancing the care feeling, the content of carbon dioxide in component (D) is preferably 50% by mass or more, more preferably 70% by mass or more, still more preferably 80% by mass or more, even more preferably 90% by mass or more, and even more preferably 100% by mass. Examples of the aerosol container include known pressure-resistant containers made of metal, plastic, etc., and double-structure containers in which an inner bag is housed inside a pressure-resistant container. From the viewpoint that the aerosol stock solution and carbon dioxide can be uniformly mixed and sprayed, a pressure-resistant container in which the aerosol stock solution and the propellant are filled in the same container is preferable.

[0055] The method for preparing the aerosol composition of the present invention is not particularly limited. For example, it can be prepared by filling a pressure-resistant container constituting the aerosol container with the aerosol stock solution, attaching a valve, and then filling the propellant (D) from the valve portion.

[0056] <Method of using the aerosol composition> The method of using the aerosol composition of the present invention is not particularly limited as long as it has a step of discharging the composition in a foamed state from an aerosol container filled with the aerosol composition and applying it to an object. When the aerosol composition is a hair cosmetic composition, it has a step of discharging the composition in a foamed state from the aerosol container and applying it to the hair. The composition discharged in a foamed state may be applied to wet hair or dry hair depending on the type of the hair cosmetic composition. For example, when the aerosol composition of the present invention is a hair cleansing composition, methods including a step of applying the hair cleansing composition discharged in a foamed state to the hair and washing the hair can be mentioned. The step of washing the hair also includes an operation of foaming the hair cleansing composition on the hair and an operation of rinsing off the hair cleansing composition thereafter. When the aerosol composition of the present invention is a hair cosmetic composition such as a rinse, a conditioning agent, or a treatment agent, methods including applying the hair cosmetic composition discharged in a foamed state from the aerosol container to the hair in a wet or dry state after washing, allowing it to settle, and then rinsing off if necessary can be mentioned. The composition discharged in a foamed state contains carbon dioxide gas, and a high concentration of care components is present in the discharged foam. In addition, the composition discharged in a foamed state has good spreadability and can be evenly spread over the entire object and can be sufficiently made to settle. Therefore, by using the aerosol composition of the present invention on the hair, a high concentration of care components can be supplied to the hair, and furthermore, a uniform care feeling can be expressed.

[0057] When the aerosol composition is a hair cosmetic composition, the amount of the hair cosmetic composition applied to the hair is the mass ratio to the mass of the hair (mass of the hair cosmetic composition / mass of the hair), preferably 0.002 or more, more preferably 0.003 or more, and preferably 0.6 or less, more preferably 0.5 or less. The hair to be treated may be at least a part of the head hair.

The pH of the aerosol stock solution at 30 °C was in the range of 3.5 to 4.5. Next, an aerosol conditioner was produced in the following manner, and evaluations of stability, care feeling (the feel of hair during rinsing), and sprayability were performed. Note that the compounding amounts described in each table are the active ingredient amounts (mass %) of each component.

[0063] (Stability) 50 g of the aerosol stock solution and the propellant shown in each table were filled into a 100 mL transparent pressure-resistant container (manufactured by Toyo Seikan Kaisha, Ltd.) so as to have the mass ratio shown in the table to produce an aerosol conditioner. The internal pressure of the aerosol container after filling with the propellant was adjusted to be in the range of 0.55 to 0.85 MPa. The aerosol conditioner was allowed to stand in an explosion-proof warehouse at 45 °C, and the appearance of the contents of the pressure-resistant container was visually observed and evaluated according to the following three-level evaluation criteria. 〔Evaluation Criteria〕 A: No separation or precipitation is observed even after 90 days B: No separation or precipitation is observed after 3 days, but separation or precipitation is observed within 90 days C: Separation or precipitation is observed within 3 days

[0064] (Care feeling (the feel of hair during rinsing)) A hair tress with a length of 30 cm, a width of 5.5 cm, and a weight of 20 g was rinsed with warm water at 35 to 40 °C for 30 seconds or more and then washed using a plain shampoo having the following composition. 154.52 g of the aerosol stock solution and the propellants shown in each table were filled into an aluminum pressure-resistant container (Φ53 mm) with a capacity of 170 mL so as to have the mass ratios shown in the table, and an aerosol conditioner was prepared. Using this aerosol conditioner, about 1.0 g of the foamy conditioner was discharged onto the palm and allowed to acclimatize to the hair tress after the washing treatment for 30 seconds. Subsequently, a professional panelist evaluated the feel of the hair when rinsing with warm water at 35 to 40 °C for 30 seconds according to the following three-level evaluation criteria. 〔Evaluation Criteria〕 A: The fingers can pass smoothly without feeling the hardness or roughness of the hair. B: The fingers can pass smoothly while slightly feeling the hardness and roughness of the hair. C: The hardness and roughness of the hair are felt.
