Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The present invention relates to an external composition. More specifically, the present invention relates to an external composition that has excellent stability, good usability, and further excellent detergency without containing a surfactant.
Background Art
[0002] In recent years, in the technical field of external compositions such as cosmetics, with the diversification and compounding of functional needs, the importance of technologies for mixing various components that do not mutually dissolve and stably formulating them has been increasing. As a component for enhancing the stability of external compositions, surfactants are widely used, and their solubilizing, emulsifying, dispersing actions, etc. make it possible to maintain a stable state without separation or syneresis. In addition, surfactants are also widely used as the main components incorporated in detergents, etc., and due to this action, it is possible to remove dirt, sebum, makeup, etc. on the skin.
[0003] Thus, while surfactants play important functions in external compositions, although the degree varies depending on the type and blending amount thereof, it is widely known that, for example, they may reduce the usability (for example, paragraphs 0002 to 0003 of Patent Document 1, etc.).

Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention
[0010] Embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail. However, the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments.
[0011] <External composition> The external composition according to an embodiment of the present invention contains (A) polyethylene glycol, (B) glycerin, (C) an oil agent that is liquid at 25°C, and (D) a thickener, and does not contain a surfactant.
[0012] 〔(A) Polyethylene glycol〕 The component (A) used in the present invention can be used without particular limitation as long as it is usually used in cosmetics or external compositions. For example, polyethylene glycol 200 (PEG-4), polyethylene glycol 300 (PEG-6), polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG-8), polyethylene glycol 600 (PEG-12), polyethylene glycol 1000 (PEG-20), etc. can be mentioned. These can be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0013] Examples of commercially available products of the component (A) include, for example, "PEG#200T", "PEG#200", "PEG#300", "PEG#400", "PEG#600", "PEG#1000" (manufactured by NOF Corporation, etc.).
[0014] Among these (A) components, from the viewpoint of remarkably exhibiting the effects of the present invention, low-molecular-weight polyethylene glycol is preferable. Specifically, polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 200 to 1000 is preferable, polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 300 to 1000 is more preferable, and polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 400 to 600 is still more preferable. The average molecular weight of the (A) component is the average molecular weight measured by the method described in the raw material standard for quasi-drugs.
[0015] The content of the (A) component can be appropriately set according to the types and amounts of other components, dosage forms, etc., and is not limited. However, from the viewpoint of remarkably exhibiting the effects of the present invention, for example, 20 to 75% by mass is preferable, 25 to 70% by mass is more preferable, and 30 to 60% by mass is still more preferable with respect to the total amount of the external composition.
[0016] [(B) Glycerin] The (B) component used in the present invention can be used without particular limitation as long as it is usually used in cosmetics or external compositions.
[0017] The content of the (B) component can be appropriately set according to the types and amounts of other components, dosage forms, etc., and is not limited. However, from the viewpoint of remarkably exhibiting the effects of the present invention, for example, 15 to 60% by mass is preferable, 18 to 55% by mass is more preferable, and 20 to 50% by mass is still more preferable with respect to the total amount of the external composition.
[0018] The total content [(A) + (B)] of the (A) component and the (B) component can be appropriately set according to the types and amounts of other components, dosage forms, etc., and is not limited. [0062] [Surfactant] The external composition according to an embodiment of the present invention does not contain a surfactant. Since it does not contain surfactants such as anionic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, and amphoteric surfactants, it is highly useful in that it can be suitably used by users who seek gentleness to the skin, or for skin with a reduced barrier function, a lowered threshold to irritation, and which is prone to feeling irritation. In the present invention, "not containing a surfactant" means substantially not containing a surfactant. Specifically, it means not containing a surfactant or, even if it contains a surfactant, the amount is trace. For example, even if it contains a surfactant, less than 0.3% by mass, more preferably less than 0.1% by mass, still more preferably less than 0.01% by mass, and particularly preferably 0% by mass, based on the total amount of the external composition, is preferred.
[0063] [pH] The pH of the external composition according to an embodiment of the present invention can be appropriately set according to the dosage form, method of use, etc., and is not limited as long as it is within a physiologically or pharmaceutically acceptable range. For example, 3.5 to 7.5 is preferred, 4.0 to 7.0 is more preferred, and 4.0 to 6.0 is still more preferred.
[0064] [Viscosity] The viscosity (25°C) of the external composition according to an embodiment of the present invention can be appropriately set according to the dosage form, etc., and is not limited. For example, 5,000 to 100,000 mPa·s is preferred, 10,000 to 80,000 mPa·s is more preferred, and 30,000 to 60,000 mPa·s is still more preferred.
[0065] The above viscosity (25°C) refers to the viscosity measured by a single cylindrical rotational viscometer (Brookfield type viscometer) in accordance with the viscosity measurement method described in the general test method of the 17th revised Japanese Pharmacopoeia. Specifically, it refers to the value measured using TV-10M (manufactured by Toki Sangyo Co., Ltd.). The selection of conditions such as the rotor and rotation speed is based on the instruction manual of this machine, and the viscosity at 25°C is measured. The description of a single cylindrical rotational viscometer is given below. A single cylindrical rotational viscometer is a viscometer that measures the torque when a cylinder in a liquid is rotated at a constant angular velocity. By experimentally determining the apparatus constant KB in advance using a standard liquid for viscometer calibration, the viscosity η of the liquid is calculated by the following formula. η = KB × T / ω η: Viscosity of the liquid (mPa·s) KB: Apparatus constant (rad / cm 3 ) ω: Angular velocity (rad / s) T: Torque acting on the cylinder surface (10 -7 N·m)
