AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Conventional flush toilets face design constraints due to complex valve units and long water supply hoses, limiting tank capacity and design freedom, especially when aiming for a low silhouette.

Method used

The flush toilet design separates the water supply line into upstream and downstream pipes, with the valve unit positioned on the outer bottom surface of the water storage tank, allowing for a compact and flexible layout that enhances design freedom and tank capacity.

Benefits of technology

This configuration simplifies the internal flow path, reduces the valve unit size, and enables a lower profile flush toilet with sufficient tank capacity, improving design flexibility and utilization of space.

Abstract

To provide a water closet that can improve the degree of freedom in designing a tank device and secure a tank capacity.SOLUTION: The water closet 1 of the present invention comprises a tank device 4 that is provided behind a toilet bowl body 2 to supply washing water to the toilet bowl body. The tank device 4 comprises: a valve unit 14 that is provided on a downstream side of a stop valve 12 of a pipeline of a water supply pipe 6 to include on-off valves 17, 18; a water storage tank 10; and a tank water supply part 20. The tank water supply part comprises: water discharge parts 23, 23a that discharge the washing water supplied from a downstream water supply line 6b to the water storage tank; and backflow prevention parts B, 24, 26, 28 that are provided on an upstream side of the water storage tank to prevent the washing water discharged from the water discharge part into the water storage tank from flowing back to a downstream water supply pipeline. The valve unit is provided below an outer bottom surface of the water storage tank, and the backflow prevention part is provided above the water storage tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
