In this embodiment, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a door trim (vehicle door trim) 100 will be described which is attached to a door panel 101 constituting a door 102 of an automobile (car) as a vehicle. [0019] As shown in FIG. 2 , the door 102 includes a door panel 101 made of sheet metal and a door trim 100 attached to the door panel 101 from the inside of the vehicle cabin. The door panel 101 is provided with a locking device 110 that can lock the openable door 102 in a closed state. Two cables 8 and 9 extending from an inside handle 10 (described later) are connected to the locking device 110. When a predetermined operation is performed on the inside handle 10, the locking device 110 unlocks the door 102 via the cable 8 or the cable 9. The trim section 1 includes a plate-like trim main body 2 that constitutes the majority of the trim section 1 and has a plate surface extending in the up-down and front-rear directions; an armrest 5 that bulges into the vehicle cabin from the center of the trim main body 2 in the up-down direction and extends in the front-rear direction; and a plate-like ornament board 4 whose plate surface extends rearward and upward from the armrest 5. As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the armrest 5 (pull handle 52) and ornament board 4 of the trim section 1 are attached to the door panel 101 from the inside of the vehicle cabin by threading multiple screws 70, 71.
[0021] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , the armrest 5 includes an upper wall 51 extending from the ornament board 4 toward the interior of the vehicle cabin. The upper wall 51 is on which a passenger can place their arm. The pull handle 52 is recessed downward from the center of the upper wall 51 in the longitudinal direction toward the exterior of the vehicle cabin. The side wall 50 extends downward from the end of the upper wall 51 facing the interior of the vehicle cabin. The side wall 50 curves toward the exterior as it extends downward and connects to the lower part 2B of the trim main body 2. [0022] As shown in Fig. 3, pull handle 52 includes bottom wall portion 52A, which forms the bottom of pull handle 52 and has a plate surface that extends horizontally; inclined wall portion 52B, which rises upward from the front end of bottom wall portion 52A and slopes toward the interior of the vehicle as it extends rearward; and curved wall portion 52C, which rises from the interior and rear ends of bottom wall portion 52A and curves toward the exterior of the vehicle as it extends rearward. Attached to the underside of bottom wall portion 52A is curved member 53 (see Fig. 7), which has one end extending from the underside of bottom wall portion 52A toward the exterior of the vehicle, a middle portion curved upward, and the other end extending toward the interior of door panel 101. The opening 20 is mainly composed of the trim main body 2, a front end portion 51A of a side wall portion 50 and an upper wall portion 51 of the armrest 5, a pull handle 52, and an ornament board 4. The opening 20 has an opening inner wall portion 21 that forms the inner wall of the opening 20, an inner edge portion 25 located on the inner side of the vehicle interior of the opening inner wall portion 21, an outer edge portion 26 located on the outer side of the opening inner wall portion 21, and an upper edge portion 27 located above the opening inner wall portion 21. [0024] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the upper edge 27 is an edge portion formed by the front end 51A of the upper wall 51 and the upper portion 2A of the trim main body 2. The upper edge 27 is closed by attaching the plate-shaped switch base 6 from above. As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the outer edge 26 is an edge portion formed by at least the upper portion 2A and lower portion 2B of the trim main body 2 and the front end 4A1 of the extension portion 4A of the ornament board 4. The outer edge 26 is generally located further outward and forward of the interior compartment than the inner edge 25 and the opening inner wall 21.
