Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic. [Background technology]
[0002] Sunscreen cosmetics usually contain ultraviolet absorbers and ultraviolet scattering agents to achieve ultraviolet protection effects (Patent Documents 1 and 2). However, in recent years, there has been a demand for cosmetics that are gentler on the skin, and so non-chemical sunscreen cosmetics that do not contain organic ultraviolet absorbers have been attracting attention. In non-chemical sunscreen cosmetics, in order to obtain a high UV protection effect without blending UV absorbers, it is necessary to increase the content of UV scattering agents in the sunscreen cosmetics. For example, a water-in-oil emulsion composition containing a high content of fine particle pigments, organically modified clay minerals, glyceryl behenate / eicosanedioate, polyethylene glycol dipolyhydroxystearate (30), etc. is known as such a cosmetic (Patent Document 3). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0003] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2015-205832 [Patent Document 2] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2017-132741 [Patent Document 3] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2017-178848 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0004] However, the water-in-oil emulsion composition described in Patent Document 3 has insufficient spreadability when applied due to the high content of fine particle pigment. Furthermore, the present inventors have further investigated the performance of water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics with a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agents, and have found that, although water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics are generally considered to have high water resistance, water-in-oil emulsion cosmetics with a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agents are prone to a decrease in SPF value when the area where the cosmetic is applied becomes wet with water. The present invention relates to a water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic that spreads well when applied and, despite containing a high content of a hydrophobized UV scattering agent, is resistant to a decrease in SPF value when the applied area becomes wet with water. [Means for solving the problem]
[0005] The present inventors have discovered that a water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic, which contains a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agent and water, as well as a specific amount of liquid oil and a dipolyhydroxystearic acid ester of a polyhydric alcohol in a specific mass ratio to the hydrophobized UV scattering agent, spreads well when applied, and, despite containing a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agent, is less likely to reduce in SPF value when the applied area becomes wet with water, thereby completing the present invention.
[0006] That is, the present invention provides a water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic composition containing the following components (A), (B), (C), and (D), in which the mass ratio of component (B) to component (A) [(B) / (A)] is 0.01 or more and 0.2 or less: (A) Hydrophobic treated UV scattering agent: 10% by mass or more and 50% by mass or less (B) Dipolyhydroxystearic acid ester of polyhydric alcohol (C) Liquid oil: 35% by mass or more and 85% by mass or less (D)Water [Effects of the Invention]
[0007] The water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic of the present invention spreads well upon application, and, despite containing a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agent, is less likely to reduce its SPF value when the applied area becomes wet with water. Furthermore, despite containing a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agent, it is less likely to produce a whitish cast after application. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0008] <Component (A)> The water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic of the present invention contains (A) a hydrophobized UV scattering agent, which is preferably a hydrophobized metal oxide fine particle. The metal oxide particles used in the hydrophobized metal oxide particles are preferably one or more metal oxide particles selected from zinc oxide, titanium oxide, cerium oxide, iron oxide, and chromium oxide, from the viewpoint of availability. Among these metal oxide particles, one or more metal oxide particles selected from zinc oxide, titanium oxide, and cerium oxide are preferred, and one or more metal oxide particles selected from zinc oxide and titanium oxide are more preferred, from the viewpoint of UV protection effect, etc. These metal oxide particles can contain trace elements with a valence of +2 or higher, and metals such as iron, zirconium, calcium, manganese, magnesium, and yttrium can be contained alone or in combination of two or more. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of UV protection effect, etc., it is preferable to use at least hydrophobized titanium oxide particles as the hydrophobized metal oxide particles, and it is more preferable to use only hydrophobized titanium oxide particles or a combination of hydrophobized titanium oxide particles and hydrophobized zinc oxide particles, and it is particularly preferable to use a combination of hydrophobized titanium oxide particles and hydrophobized zinc oxide particles.
[0009] The shape of the "fine particle metal oxide" is not particularly limited, and examples thereof include spherical, plate-like, rod-like, spindle-like, needle-like, and irregular shapes. The average particle size of the "fine particle metal oxide" is preferably 0.01 μm or more, more preferably 0.012 μm or more, even more preferably 0.015 μm or more, and is preferably 1 μm or less, more preferably 0.8 μm or less, and even more preferably 0.5 μm or less. By setting the average particle size within this range, the UV protection effect and dispersion stability can be improved. The average particle size of the fine particle metal oxide means the average particle size measured by a laser diffraction / scattering method.
[0010] Commercially available zinc oxide particles include, for example, FINEX-25, FINEX-30, FINEX-50, and FINEX-75 (manufactured by Sakai Chemical Industry Co., Ltd.), the MZ300 series, MZ500 series, and MZ700 series (manufactured by Teika Corporation), and ZnO-350 (manufactured by Sumitomo Osaka Cement Co., Ltd.). In this specification, a multi-layer water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic refers to a cosmetic that is multi-layered and contains at least two layers, an aqueous layer and an oil layer, and that appears as if the aqueous layer and the oil layer are separated into multiple layers when left to stand before use, and that is used as a water-in-oil emulsion by lightly shaking immediately before use. In this specification, the term "water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic" includes both a cosmetic that becomes a water-in-oil emulsion when shaken, and a cosmetic that remains a water-in-oil emulsion both when left to stand and when shaken. The water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic of the present invention can be produced by a conventional method.
[0062] The water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic of the present invention spreads well upon application, and, despite containing a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agent, is less likely to reduce the SPF value when the applied area becomes wet with water.Furthermore, despite containing a high content of hydrophobized UV scattering agent, it is less likely to produce a whitish cast after application. Here, the reason why the SPF value is less likely to decrease even when the applied area becomes wet is not entirely clear, but it is presumed that this is because the dispersibility of the hydrophobic treated UV scattering agent is maintained and it is less likely to aggregate even when wet, thereby preventing it from remaining in recesses such as the grooves of the skin texture and pores. Furthermore, the water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic of the present invention can achieve a high UV protection effect even when the content of the UV absorber is reduced or no UV absorber is used. The content of the UV absorber in the water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetic of the present invention is preferably from 0 to 5% by mass, more preferably from 0 to 2.5% by mass, even more preferably from 0 to 1% by mass, still more preferably from 0 to 0.5% by mass, and particularly preferably 0% by mass.

If the viscosity exceeded the upper limit of measurement, rotor No. 3 or No. 4 was used, and measurement was performed under the same conditions as above, rotation speed: 6 rpm, and measurement time: 1 minute.
[0084] (2) SPF 18.7 mg of each cosmetic was placed on HelioPlates HD6 (manufactured by Labsphere) at 0.85 mg / cm 2 After drying for 15 minutes, the SPF value was measured using an SPF analyzer (UV-2000S, manufactured by Labsphere).
[0085] (3) Water resistance 14.0 mg of each cosmetic was placed on HelioPlates HD6 (manufactured by Labsphere) at 0.63 mg / cm 2 After drying for 15 minutes, the SPF value was measured using an SPF analyzer (UV-2000S, manufactured by Labsphere). Next, 1.5 mL of water was dropped onto the SPF measurement area of the plate and left to stand for 80 minutes. After that, the water droplets remaining on the plate were removed with an air duster, and the SPF value was measured again. The percentage of the SPF value after the drop, with the SPF value before the drop being taken as 100%, was used to evaluate water resistance.
[0086] (4) Feeling of use (4-1) Good stretchability The spreadability of the product upon application was evaluated by a panel of 10 experts using the following criteria: A: Ten panelists answered that growth is good. B: 7-9 panelists answered that growth is good. C: 4-6 panelists answered that growth is good. D: 1-3 panelists answered that growth is good. E: No panelists responded that growth was good. (4-2) No white cast Ten expert panelists performed a sensory evaluation of the absence of white cast after application. The evaluation criteria are shown below. Here, "white cast" refers to uneven white streaks in the direction of application. A: 10 panelists answered that there was almost no white cast. B: 7-9 panelists answered that there was almost no white cast. C: 4-6 panelists answered that there was almost no white cast. D: 1-3 panelists answered that there was almost no white cast. E: None of the panelists responded that there was almost no white cast.
[0087] Examples 1 to 13 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5 The water-in-oil emulsion sunscreen cosmetics of Examples 1 to 13 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5 were prepared by conventional methods according to the formulations shown in Tables 1 to 4, and the viscosity and SPF were measured, and the water resistance and feel during use were evaluated. Note that, because the cosmetics of Examples 1 to 13 and Comparative Examples 1 to 5 were two-layer cosmetics, they were shaken immediately before various measurements and evaluations. The results are shown in Tables 1 to 4.
[0088] (5) Cosmetic adhesion after exposure to water In addition to the above-mentioned various measurements and evaluations, the cosmetic compositions of Example 4 and Comparative Example 3 were also evaluated for their adhesion state after they were wetted with water. That is, the cosmetic composition of Example 4 or Comparative Example 3 was applied at 2 mg / cm2 to an area of 3 cm x 3 cm on the inside of the forearm. 2 The applied area was then immersed in a water bath for 10 minutes and again dried at room temperature for 15 minutes. The applied area was directly observed at 40x magnification using a digital microscope (Hirox KH-8700), and the state of adhesion of the powder component (component (A)) to the skin was evaluated according to the following criteria. As a result, the cosmetic of Example 4 was evaluated as "4," and the cosmetic of Comparative Example 3 was evaluated as "1." 4: No aggregation of ingredient (A) is observed in the skin texture 3: Slight aggregation of ingredient (A) is observed in the skin texture 2: Aggregation of ingredient (A) is observed in the skin texture grooves. 1: Conspicuous aggregation of ingredient (A) is observed in the skin texture grooves.
