Abstract

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a medical image processing device, an endoscope system, a medical image processing method, and a medical image processing program that make it possible to appropriately display the recognition results for a region of interest. A medical image processing device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a processor. The processor executes an image acquisition process for sequentially acquiring medical images in a time series, a region of interest recognition process for recognizing, from the medical images, the position and type of a region of interest, and a display control process for causing position information, indicating the position of the region of interest, and type information, indicating the type of the region of interest, to be displayed superimposed over the medical images on a display device. During the display control process, the processor causes the position at which the position information is displayed to change in accordance with changes in the position of the region of interest as time passes, and maintains the position at which the type information is displayed regardless of whether the position of the region of interest changes as time passes.
