Abstract

To provide a driving device capable of suppressing short-circuit current.SOLUTION: A driving device drives a switching element including a first main electrode, a second main electrode, and a gate electrode. The driving device includes a first power source, a second power source with a potential lower than the first power source, and a driving circuit that pulls up the gate electrode to the first power source when a command signal of the switching element is an on command and pulls down the gate electrode to the second power source when the command signal of the switching element is an off command. When a period just before or after the command signal of the switching element is changed between the on command and the off command, or a period combining the previous period and the subsequent period is referred to as a shift period, the driving circuit, in the shift period, pulls up the gate electrode to the first power source or pulls down the gate electrode to the second power source at a resistance value higher than in the previous or subsequent period of the shift period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
