Abstract

The present invention provides a population of β-1,3-glucan / nucleic acid complexes. This is a population of β-1,3-glucan / nucleic acid complexes that contain β-1,3-glucan and nucleic acid containing homopolynucleotide bonded via hydrogen bonding to β-1,3-glucan, and that have a triple helix structure comprising two β-1,3-glucan chains and one nucleic acid chain containing homopolynucleotide bonded via hydrogen bonding with β-1,3-glucan contained in the nucleic acid. At least 30% of the β-1,3-glucan / nucleic acid complexes contained in the population satisfies the following conditions: (i) the length of the homopolynucleotide contained in the complex-incorporated nucleic acid containing homopolynucleotide bonded via hydrogen bonding to β-1,3-glucan, is uniform, and (ii) the number of molecules of nucleic acid containing homopolynucleotide bonded via hydrogen bonding to β-1,3-glucan, contained in 1 molecule of the complex is any selectied from the group consisting of 1, 2, and 3.
