AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing power generation devices using thermoelectric conversion modules are prone to damage and reduced efficiency due to expansion and deformation of heating heat exchangers, leading to insufficient contact and misalignment of bases, which affects power generation efficiency.

Method used

A power generation device with a thermoelectric conversion module sandwiched between a heating and a cooling heat exchanger, elastically pressed by a spring, and supported by bases connected via connectors, ensuring proper contact and alignment through displacement mechanisms to maintain efficient heat exchange.

Benefits of technology

Improves power generation efficiency while reducing damage to the thermoelectric conversion module by maintaining consistent contact and alignment, enhancing heat exchange performance.

Abstract

A power generation device 10 includes: a thermoelectric conversion module 1 that has a first surface 11 and a second surface 12 opposite to each other in the horizontal direction, and performs thermoelectric power generation according to the temperature difference between the first surface 11 and the second surface 12; a heating heat exchanger 3 that is in in contact with the first surface 11 in the horizontal direction, and that heats the first surface 11; a cooling heat exchanger 4 that is in contact with the second surface 12 in the horizontal direction, and cools the second surface 12; a pressing device 5 that elastically presses the cooling heat exchanger 4 toward the heating heat exchanger 3; a pair of bases 6 that sandwich the heating heat exchanger 3, the thermoelectric conversion module 1, the cooling heat exchanger 4, and the pressing device 5 in the horizontal direction; and a coupling device 7 that couples the pair of bases 6 to each other, thereby being sandwiched by the pair of bases 6. The coupling device 7 is in contact with both ends of the heating heat exchanger 3 in the front-rear direction.
