Abstract
The utility model relates to the field of refractory industry, in particular to the production of unfired fireclay refractory products intended for lining kilns and heating units. The technical problem solved by this utility model is to increase the strength of unfired fireclay refractories and reduce energy costs for the preliminary fine grinding of silicate lump, fireclay and hardener, since the hardener proposed is finely dispersed slag from the production of low-carbon ferrochrome, which is a large-tonnage waste product of ferroalloy production. In the proposed method, the stated objective is achieved by the fact that in the method for producing unfired fireclay refractories by grinding silicate lumps with fireclay and a hardener, mixing the resulting binder with a fireclay filler, mixing with water at a temperature of 60-70°C and with superplasticizer C-3, final mixing, molding by pressing at a pressure of 20 MPa and drying at a temperature of 200-225°C, During milling, finely dispersed slag from the production of low-carbon ferrochrome is added as a hardener. The best strength properties of unfired fireclay refractories are achieved after drying in a drying chamber at a temperature of 225°C. Further increasing the drying temperature to 250°C and above does not significantly affect the strength properties of unfired fireclay refractories, but does increase energy costs.
