Abstract
The present invention belongs to the field of plant genetic engineering technology, and specifically relates to the use of B3 transcription factor TaFUS3 in regulating wheat grain starch content. The present invention creates wheat TaFUS3 gene mutant lines using CRISPR / Cas9 technology, and obtain overexpression lines through genetic transformation. By measuring the expression level of TaFUS3, the total starch content, the amylose content, and the amylopectin content in grains of TaFUS3 gene overexpression and mutant materials, it is found that after overexpression of the TaFUS3 gene, the total starch content, the amylose content, and the amylopectin content in wheat grains are significantly increased. This indicates that the TaFUS3 gene promotes starch accumulation in wheat grain and is beneficial for carbon metabolism and synthesis.
