Abstract

A modular SBCVT system is provided, comprising a housing, an SBCVT, a hydraulic system, and an SBCVT system outlet. The SBCVT, housed within the housing, includes a primary pulley, a secondary pulley, and a steel belt. The primary pulley is operationally connected to receive engine torque. The endless loop member is operationally connected to both the primary and secondary pulleys to transmit torque between them. The hydraulic system is contained within the housing and is configured to control at least the primary and secondary pulleys. The SBCVT system outlet is operationally connected to the secondary pulley of the SBCVT and is configured to couple to an input shaft of an existing gearbox.
