Abstract

An intelligent platform-lift speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets that promotes road safety and comprises;A metal, wooden, plastic, concrete, or mixed box or cage, embedded in the roadway or streets, housing an assembled structure inside (inclined planes in the shape of triangles or just inclined planes on the rule or strip; a rule with inclined planes in the shape of a triangle is placed at the bottom (lower) and another rule with inclined planes at the top (upper); it works by moving the lower metal rule (by means of a motor) and causing the upper metal rule to rise or fall above the level of the roadway or street, allowing the structure to be raised or lowered when vehicles respect or exceed the speed limit, with the possibility of making an exception for official or emergency vehicles that need free passage, storing the information on a programmable card; also, through the programmable card, statistics can be known and the mechanism can be operated remotely by means of a mobile device or computer.

Claims

1. An intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets, for reducing the speed of vehicles exceeding the permitted speed limit, comprising: a box or cage (1) of metal, wood, plastic, concrete, or mixed material embedded in the road or street, housing supports, and an assembled metal structure, characterized in that said assembled metal structure includes a platform in the form of a stop (11), for reducing speed and triangular inclined planes (6a) or inclined planes (6b) on two rules, a lower metal rule (8) and an upper metal rule (7), wherein the lower metal rule (8) moves causing the upper metal rule (7) to rise, fall, or equalize with the level of the roads or streets, and said triangular inclined planes (6a) or inclined planes (6b) may include a plastic (12) to facilitate movement;where said assembled metal structure is interconnected with sensors or detectors, from a programmable card that sends the signal according to the permitted speed, so that the lower metal rail moves, then raises or lowers the upper metal rail (7) if the speed limit is not respected; wherein, the assembled metal structure may or may not include a traffic light associated with a programmable card, which indicates that the platform or speed bump is above the level of the road or street or at the level of the road or street (18).; 2. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets with a platform of claim 1, characterized in that the lower metal rule (8) is moved by the force applied by a motor (14) to the linear actuator, which performs the transmission function to move said lower metal rule (8).

3. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, characterized in that the coupling between the upper metal rule (7) and lower metal rule (8) is carried out with on-site or prior installation.

4. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, characterized in that the number of inclined planes arranged on the upper metal rule (7) and lower metal rule (8) varies depending on the length of said rule.

5. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, characterized in that the platform in the form of a stop (11) may or may not include lights or reflectors to make it more visible to drivers.

6. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, wherein the traffic light associated with a programmable card captures statistical data and stores it.

7. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, the traffic light may have spaces for messages or advertising (17).

8. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, 6 and 7, characterized in that the traffic light (15) may include a pedestrian button or pushbutton or sensor (16) that is activated by the pedestrian when he needs to cross the road or street and requires to keep the intelligent speed reducer above the level of the road or street (18).

9. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, characterized in that it can be installed in school zones, so that it remains raised during school hours and at the end of the school day to safeguard the safety of students and remains at the level of the road or street (18) when there are no school activities.

10. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, characterized in that it can be remotely controlled by means of a mobile device or computer to bring itself to the level of the road or street (18) or rise from the level of said road or street (18) according to established operating schedules.

11. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1, characterized in that the radar or sensors (sound or presence) (19) detects official or emergency vehicles to allow them free passage, lowering said speed reduction mechanism to the level of the road or street.

12. The intelligent speed reduction mechanism for roads or streets of claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the motor (14) can be activated with traditional electrical energy, renewable energy, clean energy or green energy.
