Abstract
Claims
1. A communication apparatus, characterized in that it comprises: circuitry that, in operation, generates a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) comprising a signal field and a data field, the signal field comprising a resource unit (RU) allocation field and one or more user-specific fields, and the data field comprising one or more physical layer service data units (PSDUs); and a transmitter that, in operation, transmits the generated PPDU, wherein a single PSDU of the one or more PSDUs is transmitted through a combination of resource units, and whether two or more resource units of the combination of resource units share a single low-density parity-check tone mapper (LDPC), this being dependent on the size of the two or more resource units of the combination of resource units.
2. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination share a single LDPC tone mapper if the size of the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination is not greater than a defined value.
3. The communication apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that the defined value is 996 tones.
4. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the same transmission parameters are applied to the two or more resource units of the combination of resource units that share a single LDPC tone mapper.
5. The communication apparatus according to claim 4, characterized in that the same transmission parameters comprise the modulation and the coding scheme.
6. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination that share a single LDPC tone mapper are indicated in the resource unit allocation field.
7. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that one or more user-specific fields in the signal field include the user-specific field corresponding to one of the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination that share a single LDPC tone mapper; wherein one or more user-specific fields in the signal field do not include the user-specific field corresponding to the remaining two or more resource units of the resource unit combination that share the single LDPC tone mapper.
8. A communication method, characterized in that it comprises: generating a physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) comprising a signal field and a data field, the signal field comprising a resource unit (RU) allocation field and one or more user-specific fields, and the data field comprising one or more physical layer service data units (PSDUs); and transmitting the generated PPDU, wherein a single PSDU of the one or more PSDUs is transmitted through a combination of resource units, and whether the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination share a single low-density parity-check tone mapper (LDPC), this being dependent on the size of the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination.
9. The communication method according to claim 8, characterized in that the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination share a single LDPC tone mapper if the size of the two or more 72 resource units of the resource unit combination is not greater than a defined value.
10. The communication apparatus according to claim 9, characterized in that the defined value is 996 tones.
11. The communication method according to claim 8, characterized in that it further comprises applying the same transmission parameters to the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination that share a single LDPC tone mapper.
12. The communication method according to claim 11, characterized in that the same transmission parameters comprise the modulation and the coding scheme.
13. The communication method according to claim 8, characterized in that the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination that share a single LDPC tone mapper are indicated in the resource unit allocation field.

The communication method according to claim 8, characterized in that one or more user-specific fields include the user-specific field corresponding to one of the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination that share a single LDPC tone mapper; wherein one or more user-specific fields MA / a / ZUZZ / UI 1 ÓUO do not include the user-specific field corresponding to the remaining of the two or more resource units of the resource unit combination that share the single LDPC tone mapper.
