Abstract
A utility model for air quality monitoring is presented, which incorporates a modified conventional unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with a retractable mechanical extension for spaced environmental sensors. This allows the air pollutant concentration sensors and meteorological parameter sensors to be positioned in an area free from air turbulence caused by the movement of the UAV's propellers during air pollutant concentration measurements. This invention addresses the negative impact of air turbulence produced by the movement of the UAV's propellers.
