Abstract

Device (1) for sealing the drinking opening (4) of a beverage can (2) with a pull tab (3) after emptying. The device comprises a self-adhesive sealing sticker (5,5a) including a protective sheet (5c) covering the adhesive layer (5b). The sealing sticker including protective sheet is formed into a tube or sleeve with a shape and dimensions corresponding to the shape and dimensions of the pull tab 10 such that the tube or sleeve fits over or around the pull tab without falling off or sliding off by itself. The material of the sealing sticker and / or of the protective sheet is preferably aluminium. The invention also covers any beverage can that is factory-fitted with a tube- or sleeve-shaped device in accordance with the invention. (FIG. 1c)
