Mechanical axe, especially a mining axe

Abstract

The application concerns the construction of a mechanical axe, particularly a mining axe used for cutting wooden elements to size. The mechanical axe (1) has a rectangular vertical support (2) at one end with holes (3) for rods (5) and a handle (6) for mounting a horizontal actuator (8). The rods (5) are mounted at their other ends in a vertical plate (10) equipped with a through hole (11) through which the other end of the horizontal actuator (8) passes. The vertical plate (10) is part of a guide (9), which also has a vertical box (12) with a horizontally slidable cutting blade (16) mounted therein and attached to the end of the horizontal actuator (8). The vertical box (12) has horizontal cutouts (18) in its walls (13) guiding the horizontal actuator (8). At the end of the vertical box (12) it is equipped with resistance elements for the processed wood in the form of through sleeves (19) with a common axis (O) perpendicular to the walls (13) of the vertical box (12).
