Abstract

The subject of the application is a breakaway valve for lines intended for transporting fluids, particularly petroleum fluids, which, when transporting liquid or gaseous media, may be subject to sudden disconnection. The breakaway valve for lines for transporting fluids is formed from two interconnected symmetrical cylindrical elements. The valve is characterized in that each of the cylindrical elements in the form of a sleeve (26) has an openwork partition (28) inside, against which a spring (29) rests, and a closing flap (30) equipped with a coaxial pin (31) protruding towards the opposite pin (31) rests against the spring (29). Opposite the closing flap (30) is a closing ring (32) permanently connected to the cylindrical element in the form of a sleeve (26) on its inner side.On the outside, an outer ring (33, 35) is attached to each of the cylindrical elements, of which the first ring (33) is equipped with magnets (34) and the second ring (35) is a ferromagnetic element.
