Abstract

The method of machining a cylindrical gear with straight teeth and any outline on a numerically controlled machine tool is characterized in that the gear housing is mounted in a holder on a numerically controlled machine tool, the controlled axis of rotation C of the gear wheel takes place around the linearly controlled axis Z of the machine tool, and the origin of the workpiece coordinate system (X, Y, Z) is located at any point geometrically related to the axis of rotation of the gear wheel, and then the cylindrical milling cutter (2), preferably a solid carbide milling cutter, due to the combination of movements Xn, Yn simultaneously with the movement C of the gear wheel (1), moves in the intertooth groove of the gear wheel, removing the roughing allowance in successive parallel passes, leaving the allowance for finishing machining (4), then during the finishing pass of the machining, the solid carbide milling cutter (2), due to the combination of movements Xn, Yn simultaneously with the movement C of the gear wheel (1), moves in the intertooth groove of the gear wheel, removing the roughing allowance in subsequent parallel passes, leaving the allowance for finishing machining (4), then during the finishing pass of the machining, the solid carbide milling cutter (2), due to the combination of movements Xn, Yn,Yn simultaneously with the movement C of the gear wheel (1) moves in the inter-tooth gap along the equidistant trajectory in relation to the designed tooth profile, removing the allowance for roughing in one continuous pass, and after the complete machining of one inter-tooth gap, the next gear wheel gap is machined.,
