Device for bending sheet metal

Abstract

A sheet metal bending device comprises two rollers (1, 2) and a body (3) composed of a lower body (3a) and an upper body (3b) mounted thereon. The lower body (3a) contains a motor (4) connected, via a gearbox (5), to the lower roll (1). The upper body (3b) contains two actuators (6), which are connected to the two ends of the upper roll (2) covered with an elastomer layer. The device also comprises a position angle sensor (7) of the lower roll (1), a pressure sensor (8), a hydraulic pressure regulator (9), and a controller (10). The rotation axes of the rollers (1, 2) are offset relative to each other in the horizontal plane of the lower body (3a) by an offset (f) whose value ranges from 1% to 6% of the outer diameter (D) of the upper roll (2).The output of the position angle sensor (7) of the lower roll (1) is connected to the input of the controller (10), the output of which is connected to the hydraulic pressure regulator (9), the output of which is connected to the inputs of the actuators (6) and to the input of the pressure sensor (8), the output of which is connected to the input of the controller (10), and furthermore the output of the controller (10) is connected to the input of the motor (4).
