Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND
[0001] The use of attachable stickers for use in the entertainment and education of children has been recognized, and the prior art patent literature contains various disclosures of the same.
[0002] For example, U.S. Pat. No. 5,943,697 discloses an adaptable garment providing a person flexibility in placing educational or entertainment articles thereon, comprising: (a) one or more, repeatedly relocatable attachable stickers having an adhesive thereon; and (b) a garment having a sufficiently rough surface to permit adhesion with said stickers, said stickers being attached to said rough surface of said garment by said adhesive and capable of being removed and relocated to substantially any other location on said rough surface of said garment by said person.
[0003] U.S. Pat. No. 10,410,268 discloses a product or device using a method of attaching an object to a porous material, such as a textile. The method allows products to change their aesthetic appearance and offers a new business model that brings the advantages of digital technology to the brick and mortar retailer. The use of a non-porous patch is disclosed as a way to prevent adhesive migration between a printable media that uses adhesive to attach itself to a porous material, such as a textile. The method further discloses how to integrate digital images with physical products sold at retail stores so as to allow a single product to be able to have a wide range of ornamental designs applied to expand the breadth of choice at the brick and mortar retail shelf and add significant business efficiencies that benefit both the consumer and retailer.
[0004] Nevertheless, prior art stickers and the like can be inconvenient and messy. There remains a need for children's articles configured for attachable patches which are easy to use and reuse.SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0005] Therefore, the present invention is a water bottle with a carrying sleeve configured for easily attaching patches on the carrying sleeve which contribute to the entertainment and education of children.
[0006] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a water bottle with a carrying sleeve configured for attachable objects, comprising: an insulated water container; a carrying sleeve; a plurality of holes in the carrying sleeve; and one or more patches, wherein the one or more patches have nubs configured to insert in the holes in the carrying sleeve.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0007] FIG. 1 illustrates a water bottle and a carrying sleeve side-by-side.
[0008] FIG. 2 illustrates a water bottle and a carrying sleeve with attachable patches affixed.
[0009] FIG. 3 illustrates the water bottle inside the carrying sleeve.DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0010] FIG. 1 illustrates a water bottle and a carrying sleeve side-by-side.
[0011] Insulated water container 10 is cylindrical in shape with a top configured for drinking the contents. Though the container is referred to a as a water container, it is also suitable for other liquids such as juice. Insulated water container 10 may be made of stainless steel, but it also may be made of other materials such as plastic materials.
[0012] Carrying sleeve 20 may be made of silicone or EVA foam, for example. Carrying sleeve 20 may be an open cylindrical basket configured to receive insulated water container 10.
[0013] FIG. 2 illustrates a water bottle and a carrying sleeve with attachable patches affixed.
[0014] Insulated water container 10 is shown next to carrying sleeve 20 in the view of FIG. 2. Patches 30 are placed on carrying sleeve 20. Patches 30 may be made of silicone. Patches 30 may be placed on carrying sleeve 20 while the sleeve is separated from the insulated water container, but patches may also be placed and / or removed when carrying sleeve 20 contains insulated water container 10.
[0015] The detachable patches in FIG. 2 display entertaining themes, in this example, dinosaurs. A wide variety of themes may be used and can be provided separately from the water bottle and carrying sleeve to enhance the variety of the entertainment options the water bottle and carrying sleeve provide.
[0016] Detachable patches could also display educational themes, for example. There could be patches that display the consonants of the alphabet, and patches which include vowels. There could be patches which display numbers, and patches which display mathematical operators.
[0017] Thus, the present invention creates an interactive game of assembling different themes together, and therefore can be a stimulating creative activity for children and adults. The present invention adds fun and entertainment compared to prior art water bottles, and can also be used as a learning method for children and adults with regard to the different categories of themes.
[0018] FIG. 3 illustrates the water bottle inside the carrying sleeve.
[0019] In FIG. 3, insulated water container 10 is situated inside carrying sleeve 20. Patches 30 are affixed to carrying sleeve 20 by nubs on the back of patches 30 which are configured to attach to holes positioned on carrying sleeve 20.
