The sensor is connected to a base station plugged into an outlet via Bluetooth. The base station connects to a cloud service via Wi-Fi. The intended purpose of the device is to (1) provide secure storage of a firearm through use of the trigger lock or cable lock functionality and (2) provide notification of unexpected or unauthorized movement of a firearm through the sensor and associated phone app. The system is differentiated from other smart firearm devices by only detecting movement and not tracking the device, while providing the functionality of the trigger lock and / or cable lock.
