[0003] Patent Literature 1 discloses a traveling toy that includes a first member including a first traveling wheel, a second member connected to the first member through a first hinge portion and including a second traveling wheel, and a third member provided to face the second member, connected to the first member through a second hinge portion, and including a third traveling wheel.CITATION LISTPatent LiteraturePatent Literature 1: JP2024-063960ASUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0005] In the traveling toy of Patent Literature 1, a traveling function is implemented by fixing the first traveling wheel and the second traveling wheel to an axle and rotatably connecting the axle to a main body portion of the traveling toy. On the other hand, a configuration is also conceivable in which the traveling function is implemented by fixing the axle to the main body portion and rotatably connecting the traveling wheels to the axle. However, when such a configuration is adopted, friction occurs between the axle and the traveling wheels when the traveling wheels rotate, and as a result, the traveling wheels do not rotate smoothly, and thus there is room for improvement in traveling performance.
[0006] An object of the present disclosure is to provide a traveling toy in which a wheel member can be rotated smoothly while maintaining a connection state between a rod-shaped member and the wheel member.
[0007] A traveling toy according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a main body member including at least one rod-shaped member; a wheel member capable of being connected to the rod-shaped member; and a flexible member having a hole portion through which the rod-shaped member is capable of being inserted. The wheel member includes an accommodation portion configured to accommodate the flexible member. The accommodation portion has an insertion hole through which the rod-shaped member is inserted. In a state where the flexible member is accommodated in the accommodation portion and the rod-shaped member is inserted through the insertion hole and the hole portion, the wheel member is rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member, and the flexible member does not rotate with respect to the rod-shaped member when the wheel member rotates.
[0008] According to the above-described configuration, it is possible to provide a traveling toy in which a wheel member can be rotated smoothly while maintaining a connection state between a rod-shaped member and the wheel member.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0017] First, the overall configuration of the traveling toy 100 will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 6. FIGS. 1 and 2 are each a perspective view illustrating the traveling toy 100. FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating a front wheel member 2. FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating the inside of the front wheel member 2. FIG. 5 is a diagram illustrating a lid portion 22 of the front wheel member 2. FIG. 6 is a diagram illustrating the inside of the front wheel member 2 in a state where a rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through an insertion hole 2121 of an accommodation portion 212 and a hole portion 41 of a flexible member 4. As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the traveling toy 100 is a traveling toy modeled after an ice cream stall. The traveling toy 100 includes a main body member 1, two front wheel members 2 (an example of a wheel member), a rear wheel member 3, and the flexible member 4. The main body member 1 includes a platform portion 11, a support portion 12, a roof portion 13, a handle portion 14, and the rod-shaped member 15.
[0018] The platform portion 11 includes a base portion 111 and a placement portion 112. The base portion 111 is substantially trapezoidal in a side view. The base portion 111 includes a storage portion 1111. The storage portion 1111 stores, for example, an ice toy modeled after ice cream with a cone and a signboard toy modeled after a standing signboard.
[0019] The placement portion 112 is provided above the base portion 111. A length of the placement portion 112 in a height direction (upper-lower direction) is smaller than a length of the base portion 111 in the height direction (upper-lower direction). The placement portion 112 has a convex portion 112A for placing an ice toy modeled after the ice cream and a hole portion 112B for placing a cone toy modeled after the cone or the ice toy modeled after the ice cream with the cone. In the present embodiment, the placement portion 112 has four convex portions 112A and three hole portions 112B. However, the number of convex portions 112A and hole portions 112B provided in the placement portion 112 is not limited to this example. In FIG. 2, the ice toy or the cone toys are placed on a part of the convex portions 112A or a part of the hole portions 112B. As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the convex portion 112A has a flower shape in a plan view. However, the convex portion 112A may have a shape other than the flower shape. The hole portion 112B has a substantially circular shape in the plan view. However, the hole portion 112B may have a shape other than the circular shape.
[0020] The support portion 12 extends upward from an upper surface of the placement portion 112 and is connected to the roof portion 13. Therefore, the support portion 12 is disposed between the platform portion 11 and the roof portion 13. The support portion 12 is configured to support the roof portion 13. The support portion 12 is curved in an outwardly convex shape in the side view.
[0021] The roof portion 13 is modeled after ice cream stacked in two stages. The roof portion 13 includes a storage portion 131. The storage portion 131 stores, for example, a chair toy modeled after a chair or a table toy modeled after a table.
[0022] The handle portion 14 includes two extending portions 141 and a knob portion 142. The extending portion 141 extends forward from a front end portion of the placement portion 112 of the platform portion 11. The knob portion 142 is a rod-shaped member. The knob portion 142 is provided between the two extending portions 141. Both ends of the knob portion 142 are connected to the two extending portions 141, respectively.
[0023] The rod-shaped member 15 protrudes from each of left and right side surfaces of a front end portion of the base portion 111. Therefore, the rod-shaped member 15 protrudes outward in the left-right direction from the base portion 111. The rod-shaped member 15 is a substantially columnar member modeled after a shaft. The front wheel member 2 is attached to each of both end portions of the rod-shaped member 15.
[0024] The front wheel member 2 is connected to the rod-shaped member 15 in a detachable state relative to the rod-shaped member 15. As illustrated in FIG. 3, the front wheel member 2 has a substantially truncated cone shape. The front wheel member 2 includes a wheel main body 21 and the lid portion 22.
[0025] As illustrated in FIG. 4, the wheel main body 21 has a substantially circular shape in a right side view. The wheel main body 21 includes an opening portion 210, an outer wall portion211, the accommodation portion 212 for accommodating the flexible member 4, and three insertion rods 213. The outer wall portion 211 is disposed outward of the accommodation portion 212 and the insertion rods 213 when viewed from a center point C1 of the wheel main body 21.
[0026] The accommodation portion 212 has a substantially cylindrical shape. An outer diameter D2 of the accommodation portion 212 is smaller than a maximum outer diameter D1 of the outer wall portion 211. The outer diameter D2 of the accommodation portion 212 is larger than an outer diameter D3 of the flexible member 4. The accommodation portion 212 has the insertion hole 2121 for inserting the rod-shaped member 15 substantially at a center thereof.
[0027] The insertion rod 213 is a small columnar member that protrudes in the left-right direction in a state where the front wheel member 2 is connected to the rod-shaped member 15. The insertion rod 213 is disposed inward of the outer wall portion 211 when viewed from the center point C1 of the wheel main body 21. The insertion rod 213 is disposed outward of the accommodation portion 212 when viewed from the center point C1 of the wheel main body 21. Accordingly, the insertion rod 213 is disposed between the outer wall portion 211 and the accommodation portion 212. In the present embodiment, the three insertion rods 213 are arranged at equal distances from each other.
[0028] As illustrated in FIG. 5, the lid portion 22 has a substantially circular shape in the right side view. An outer diameter D4 of the lid portion 22 is slightly larger than the maximum outer diameter D1 of the outer wall portion 211 (see FIG. 4). The lid portion 22 has three cylindrical portions 221. Each of the cylindrical portions 221 is disposed at a respective one of positions corresponding to the insertion rods 213 (see FIG. 4), and is configured such that each insertion rod 213 can be inserted thereinto. By inserting the insertion rods 213 through the respective cylindrical portions 221, the lid portion 22 is connected to the wheel main body 21 (see FIG. 4). In a state where the lid portion 22 is connected to the wheel main body 21, the lid portion 22 covers the opening portion 210 (see FIG. 4) of the wheel main body 21. Therefore, in the present embodiment, the lid portion 22 is attached to the wheel main body 21 to cover the accommodation portion 212 in a state where the flexible member 4 is accommodated in the accommodation portion 212.
[0029] As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the rear wheel member 3 is smaller than the front wheel member 2. The rear wheel member 3 includes two wheel portions 31 and a shaft portion 32 connected to the two wheel portions 31. The wheel portion 31 has a substantially disk shape. The rear wheel member 3 is connected to the base portion 111 at a rear end portion of the base portion 111 by connecting the shaft portion 32 of the rear wheel member 3 to a bearing portion (not illustrated) of the base portion 111. The rear wheel member 3 is rotatable in a circumferential direction of the rear wheel member 3 when connected to the base portion 111.
[0030] Returning to FIG. 4, the flexible member 4 will be described. The flexible member 4 is made of polyvinyl chloride. The polyvinyl chloride is superior in strength to ABS resin (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin) and PS resin (polystyrene resin). The polyvinyl chloride has a Shore A hardness of, for example, 85 or more, preferably 85. The larger the value of the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride, the harder the polyvinyl chloride, and the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride forming the flexible member 4 is 85 or more (preferably 85), so that the polyvinyl chloride has appropriate flexibility. In this way, the flexible member 4 has appropriate strength and flexibility.
[0031] The flexible member 4 is accommodated inside the accommodation portion 212. The flexible member 4 has the hole portion 41 through which the rod-shaped member 15 can be inserted. The hole portion 41 has a hexagonal shape. However, the hole portion 41 may have any polygonal shape and is not limited to the polygonal shape.
[0032] As illustrated in FIGS. 1, 2, and 6, in a state where the front wheel member 2 is connected to the rod-shaped member 15, the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the insertion hole 2121 (see FIG. 4) of the front wheel member 2 and the hole portion 41 of the flexible member 4, and is in point contact with each side of the hexagonal hole portion 41. In a state before the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the insertion hole 2121 of the front wheel member 2 and the hole portion 41 of the flexible member 4, an outer diameter D5 of the rod-shaped member 15 is equal to or larger than an inner diameter D6 of the hole portion 41. However, since the flexible member 4 has appropriate flexibility, when the rod-shaped member 15 starts to be inserted through the hole portion 41, the hole portion 41 expands outward, and the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the hole portion 41. When the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride forming the flexible member 4 is less than 85, even when the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the hole portion 41, the rod-shaped member 15 may not be firmly held in the hole portion 41 because the rod-shaped member 15 is too soft. However, in the present embodiment, since the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride forming the flexible member 4 is 85 or more (preferably 85), the rod-shaped member 15 is firmly held in the hole portion 41 when the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the hole portion 41. Therefore, the flexible member 4 can stably exhibit a bearing function.
[0033] Since the outer diameter D2 of the accommodation portion 212 is larger than the outer diameter D3 of the flexible member 4, the flexible member 4 is rotatably accommodated in the accommodation portion 212. In addition, since the outer diameter D5 of the rod-shaped member 15 is equal to or larger than the inner diameter D6 of the hole portion 41, the rod-shaped member 15 is in contact with the flexible member 4 in a state where the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the insertion hole 2121 and the hole portion 41. That is, in a state where the flexible member 4 is accommodated in the accommodation portion 212 and the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the insertion hole 2121 and the hole portion 41, the flexible member 4 is rotatable with respect to the accommodation portion 212, but is not rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member 15. Therefore, in a state where the flexible member 4 is accommodated in the accommodation portion 212 and the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the insertion hole 2121 and the hole portion 41, the front wheel member 2 is rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member 15. However, in this state, since the flexible member 4 is accommodated in the accommodation portion 212 and is not fixed to the accommodation portion 212, the flexible member 4 does not rotate with respect to the rod-shaped member 15 when the front wheel member 2 rotates.Way of Playing Traveling Toy 100
[0034] As described above, the front wheel member 2 is connected to the rod-shaped member 15 in a detachable state relative to the rod-shaped member 15. Therefore, a state of the traveling toy 100 can be changed between a first state in which the front wheel members 2 are connected to the rod-shaped member 15 and a second state in which the front wheel members 2 are detached from the rod-shaped member 15. That is, the traveling toy 100 is also a transformable toy that can change the state of the traveling toy 100 between the above-described first state and second state. Hereinafter, a way of playing the traveling toy 100 in the first state and a way of playing the traveling toy 100 in the second state will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 7. In the present description, a state illustrated in FIG. 1 is referred to as a first state, and a state illustrated in FIG. 7 is referred to as a second state.
[0035] As illustrated in FIG. 1, when the state of the traveling toy 100 is the first state, the front wheel members 2 are connected to the rod-shaped member 15. Therefore, in the first state, the front wheel member 2 functions as a wheel component of the traveling toy 100. In the first state, for example, when a user pulls the traveling toy 100 forward while pinching the handle portion 14 with fingers, the front wheel member 2 rotates and the traveling toy 100 moves forward. Similarly, when the user pushes the traveling toy 100 backward while pinching the handle portion 14 with the fingers, the front wheel member 2 rotates, and the traveling toy 100 moves backward. In this way, in the first state, the user can play the traveling toy 100 as a traveling toy. Therefore, in the first state, the user can use the traveling toy 100 to simulate a state in which the ice cream stall is moving.
[0036] The user can detach the front wheel member 2 from the rod-shaped member 15 by moving the front wheel member 2 in a direction opposite to the insertion direction of the rod-shaped member 15. When the front wheel members 2 are detached from the rod-shaped member 15, the state of the traveling toy 100 is changed from the first state to the second state. Therefore, as illustrated in FIG. 7, when the state of the traveling toy 100 is the second state, the front wheel members 2 are detached from the rod-shaped member 15. In the second state, the user can play the front wheel member 2 as a table toy modeled after a table. That is, in the second state, the front wheel member 2 functions as a toy independent of the main body member 1. For example, the user can take out various toys stored in the storage portion 1111 (see FIG. 2) of the platform portion 11 and the storage portion 131 (see FIG. 2) of the roof portion 13 and place these toys and the front wheel members 2 in desired positions to simulate a state in which the ice cream stall is parked in a predetermined place and sells the ice cream.
[0037] In a traveling toy in the related art, a traveling function is implemented by fixing a first traveling wheel and a second traveling wheel to an axle and rotatably connecting the axle to a main body portion of the traveling toy.
[0038] In contrast, according to the traveling toy 100 having the above-described configuration, the front wheel member 2 is rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member 15 in a state where the flexible member 4 is accommodated in the accommodation portion 212 of the front wheel member 2. On the other hand, when the front wheel member 2 rotates, the flexible member 4 does not rotate with respect to the rod-shaped member 15. That is, when the front wheel member 2 is rotated in a state where the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the insertion hole 2121 of the accommodation portion 212 of the front wheel member 2 and the hole portion 41 of the flexible member 4, the front wheel member 2 rotates with respect to the rod-shaped member 15, but the flexible member 4 accommodated in the accommodation portion 212 does not rotate with respect to the rod-shaped member 15, so that the front wheel member 2 can be smoothly rotated while maintaining a connection state between the rod-shaped member 15 and the front wheel member 2.
[0039] According to the traveling toy 100 having the above-described configuration, since the outer diameter D5 of the rod-shaped member 15 is equal to or larger than the inner diameter D6 of the hole portion 41, the flexible member 4 is not rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member 15 in a state where the flexible member 4 is accommodated in the accommodation portion 212 and the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the hole portion 41. On the other hand, since the outer diameter D3 of the flexible member 4 is smaller than the outer diameter D2 of the accommodation portion 212, the front wheel member 2 is rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member 15 and the flexible member 4. Therefore, according to the traveling toy 100, the front wheel member 2 can be rotated more smoothly while maintaining the connection state between the rod-shaped member 15 and the front wheel member 2.
[0040] In addition, according to the traveling toy 100 having the above-described configuration, the flexible member 4 can be accommodated in the accommodation portion 212 with a simple configuration, and the flexible member 4 cannot be seen from the outside in an assembled state, so that both the assemblability and designability can be implemented.
[0041] In addition, according to the above-described configuration, since the flexible member 4 is made of polyvinyl chloride and the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride is 85 or more, the flexibility of the flexible member 4 can be made appropriate.
[0042] According to the traveling toy 100 having the above-described configuration, in the first state in which the front wheel members 2 are connected to the rod-shaped member 15, the front wheel member 2 functions as the wheel component of the traveling toy 100. On the other hand, in the second state in which the front wheel members 2 are detached from the rod-shaped member 15, the front wheel member 2 functions as a toy independent of the main body member 1. As described above, according to the traveling toy 100, since the function of the front wheel member 2 changes according to the state of the traveling toy 100, the playability of the traveling toy 100 can be increased.
[0043] In addition, according to the traveling toy 100 having the above-described configuration, the hole portion 41 of the flexible member 4 has a hexagonal shape. Therefore, in the state where the rod-shaped member 15 is inserted through the hole portion 41, the rod-shaped member 15 is in point contact with the flexible member 4. Accordingly, the front wheel member 2 can be easily detached from the rod-shaped member 15 by moving the front wheel member 2 in the direction opposite to the insertion direction of the rod-shaped member 15.
[0044] According to the embodiment of the present disclosure described above, it is possible to provide a traveling toy according to the following aspects.
[0045] A traveling toy according to a first aspect includes: a main body member including at least one rod-shaped member; wheel members capable of being connected to the rod-shaped member; and a flexible member having a hole portion through which the rod-shaped member is capable of being inserted, in which each wheel member includes an accommodation portion configured to accommodate the flexible member, the accommodation portion has an insertion hole through which the rod-shaped member is inserted, in a state where the flexible member is accommodated in the accommodation portion and the rod-shaped member is inserted through the insertion hole and the hole portion, the wheel member is rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member, and the flexible member does not rotate with respect to the rod-shaped member when the wheel member rotates.
[0046] According to this configuration, the wheel member is rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member in the state where the flexible member is accommodated in the accommodation portion of the wheel member. On the other hand, when the front wheel member rotates, the flexible member does not rotate with respect to the rod-shaped member. That is, when the wheel member is rotated in a state where the rod-shaped member is inserted through the insertion hole of the accommodation portion of the wheel member and the hole portion of the flexible member, the front wheel member rotates with respect to the rod-shaped member, but the flexible member accommodated in the accommodation portion does not rotate with respect to the rod-shaped member, so that the wheel member can be smoothly rotated while maintaining a connection state between the rod-shaped member and the front wheel member.
[0047] In the traveling toy according to a second aspect, an outer diameter of the rod-shaped member is equal to or larger than an inner diameter of the hole portion, and an outer diameter of the flexible member is smaller than an outer diameter of the accommodation portion.
[0048] According to this configuration, since the outer diameter of the rod-shaped member is equal to or larger than the inner diameter of the hole portion, the flexible member is not rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member in a state where the flexible member is accommodated in the accommodation portion and the rod-shaped member is inserted through the hole portion. On the other hand, since the outer diameter of the flexible member is smaller than the outer diameter of the accommodation portion, the wheel member is rotatable with respect to the rod-shaped member and the flexible member. Therefore, according to the traveling toy having the above-described configuration, it is possible to rotate the wheel member more smoothly while maintaining the connection state between the rod-shaped member and the wheel member.
[0049] In the traveling toy according to a third aspect, the wheel member includes a wheel main body including the accommodation portion, and a lid portion attached to the wheel main body to cover the accommodation portion in a state where the flexible member is accommodated in the accommodation portion.
[0050] According to this configuration, the flexible member can be accommodated in the accommodation portion with a simple configuration, and the flexible member cannot be seen from the outside in an assembled state, so that both the assemblability and designability can be implemented.
[0051] In the traveling toy according to a fourth aspect, the flexible member is made of polyvinyl chloride, and a Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride is 85 or more.
[0052] According to this configuration, since the flexible member is made of polyvinyl chloride and the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride is 85 or more, the flexibility of the flexible member can be made appropriate.
[0053] In the traveling toy according to a fifth aspect, the wheel member is connected to the rod-shaped member in a detachable state relative to the rod-shaped member, a state of the traveling toy is capable of being changed between a first state in which the wheel members are connected to the rod-shaped member and a second state in which the wheel members are detached from the rod-shaped member, in the first state, the wheel member functions as a wheel component of the traveling toy, and in the second state, the wheel member functions as a toy independent of the main body member.
[0054] According to this configuration, in the first state in which the front wheel members are connected to the rod-shaped member, the front wheel member functions as the wheel component of the traveling toy. On the other hand, in the second state in which the front wheel members are detached from the rod-shaped member, the front wheel member functions as a toy independent of the main body member. As described above, according to the traveling toy having the above-described configuration, since the function of the front wheel member changes according to the state of the traveling toy, the playability of the traveling toy can be increased.
[0055] In the traveling toy according to a sixth aspect, the hole portion has a polygonal shape.
[0056] According to this configuration, the hole portion of the flexible member has a polygonal shape. Therefore, in the state where the rod-shaped member is inserted through the hole portion, the rod-shaped member is in point contact with the flexible member. Accordingly, the front wheel member can be easily detached from the rod-shaped member by moving the front wheel member in the direction opposite to the insertion direction of the rod-shaped member.
[0057] The above-described embodiment is intended to facilitate the understanding of the present disclosure, and does not limit the present disclosure. The present disclosure can be changed or improved without departing from the gist thereof.
[0058] In the present embodiment, the traveling toy 100 includes the front wheel members 2 and the rear wheel member 3, but may not include the rear wheel member 3. The traveling toy 100 may include a rear wheel member having the same configuration as the front wheel member 2.
[0059] In the present embodiment, the traveling toy 100 includes two front wheel members 2, but may include one or three or more front wheel members 2.
[0060] In the present embodiment, the front wheel member 2 includes three insertion rods 213, and the lid portion 22 includes three cylindrical portions 221, but the present disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, the front wheel member 2 may include one or two insertion rods 213, or may include four or more insertion rods 213. The lid portion 22 may include one or two cylindrical portions 221, or may include four or more cylindrical portions 221.
[0061] In the present embodiment, the flexible member 4 is made of the polyvinyl chloride, and the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride is 85 or more, but the Shore A hardness of the polyvinyl chloride may be less than 85.
