Furthermore, multiple systems may be combined (for example, a combination of LTE or LTE-A with 5G).

[0145] Uplink grant-free transmission and uplink configured grant transmission (physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) Transmission with a Configured Grant) support two types of uplink grant-free transmission. All parameters of the first type of grant-free transmission are configured by the network device through high-layer signaling (radio resource control (RRC) signaling); some parameters of the second type of grant-free transmission are configured by the network device through high-layer signaling, and other scheduling-related parameters are configured by the network device by activating downlink control information (DCI).

[0146] In some embodiments, a maximum of 12 sets of uplink ungranted transmission configurations may be configured and activated on a bandwidth part (BWP), and each configuration is identified by an index.

[0147] In some embodiments, the period of uplink grant-free transmission (referred to as the configured grant (CG) period) is configured by higher-layer signaling and supports up to 14*40960 symbols. During the CG period, the first type of grant-free transmission is configured with time-frequency resources via higher-layer signaling, while the second type of grant-free transmission is configured with time-frequency resources via DCI activation. These time-frequency resources within the CG period are also referred to as CG PUSCH occasions (TOs).

[0148] In some embodiments, only one TO can be configured in a CG period, or in other words, only one TO can be configured in a CG configuration. At the same time, the network device will further configure the number of repeated transmissions K through high-layer signaling. At this time, there will be K CG PUSCH occasions with the same configuration in the CG period.

[0149] XR (VR, AR) services require low latency and high throughput. To enhance XR services, we propose enhancing CG by reusing CG PUSCH occasions that are not in use by the terminal. To this end, multiple TOs can be configured within a CG cycle, and the terminal can send dynamic indication signaling to the network device, notifying the base station of any "unused" TOs.

[0150] In some embodiments, reporting of unused transmission occasion-uplink control information (UTO-UCI) is enabled.

[0151] The UTO-UCI is indicated by the CG PUSCH associated with the CG configuration, which is achieved by configuring the RRC parameters.

[0152] -FFS on whether / how to extend to multiple CG configurations.

[0153] In some embodiments, the UTO-UCI is enabled by configuring an RRC parameter.

[0154] In some embodiments, time domain resource allocation (TDRA) configuration. For the time domain resource allocation of the second type of CG configuration (multi-PUSCH CG configuration, i.e., indicating that the CG period includes multiple TOs), the following are supported:

[0155] Used for TDRA determination (based on the NR unlicensed (NR-U) framework)

[0156] In some embodiments, for Type-1, refer to the DCI format 0_0 rule on the UE-specific search space.

[0157] Note that for the purpose of determining the TDRA configuration, it is assumed that PUSCH repetition type A is for type 1.

[0158] Whether or not to support repetitions is still an open question. If it is decided not to support repetitions, it means that the corresponding repetition factor is 1.

[0159] In some embodiments, for Type-2, the TDRA table is determined by the TDRA table associated with the activation DCI.

[0160] Note that the DCI format using pusch-RepTypeA to activate DCI is applicable.

[0161] Whether or not to support repetitions is still an open question. If it is decided not to support repetitions, it means that the corresponding repetition factor is 1.

[0162] In some embodiments, N is configured by higher layers.

[0163] A single start and length indicator (SLIV) is determined by TDRA.

[0164] Each CG period is used for SLIV of the first PUSCH.

[0165] Each of the N consecutive time slots for each CG cycle

[0166] Note: N is independent of cg-nrofSlots-r16 and cg-nrofPUSCH-InSlot-r16, respectively. N configuration is independent of cgRetransmissionTimer configuration.

[0167] To determine the corresponding time slot for CG PUSCH during the second type of CG configuration:

[0168] For the remainder of the PUSCH period:

[0169] For Type 1 and Type 2, the corresponding procedures of NR-U are reused by applying the RRC parameter N instead of cg-nrofSlots-r16 and cg-nrofPUSCH-InSlot-r16, respectively.

[0170] Conclusion of TDRA configuration, N refers to the number of TOs in the CG cycle.

[0171] For the second type CG configuration including multiple TOs in the CG cycle, and the first type CG configuration different from the second type CG configuration, the terminal cannot directly determine whether the CG configuration configured by the network device is the first type CG configuration or the second type CG configuration.

[0172] In the disclosed embodiment, the terminal distinguishes whether the CG configuration configured by the network device is a first-type CG configuration (e.g., the CG configuration in Release 15 / Release 16) or a second-type CG configuration (multi-PUSCHs CG configuration). This helps the terminal determine some execution methods, for example, clarifying the formula for calculating the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process identifier (HP ID). The calculation formula for the HP ID corresponding to the PUSCH of the first-type CG configuration is different from the calculation formula for the HP ID corresponding to the PUSCH of the second-type CG configuration, and the two cannot be mixed. Another example is the transmission control of UTO-UCI (unused transmission occasion-uplink control information).

[0413] By implementing the embodiment of the present disclosure, the network device sends the second indication information, wherein the second indication information is used to indicate whether the terminal needs to send specific uplink control information, and the specific uplink control information is used to indicate whether the subsequent TO is used, thereby ensuring the normal communication.

[0414] FIG4C is a flow chart of a method for determining information according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG4C , the embodiment of the present disclosure relates to a method for determining information, which is executed by a network device and includes:

[0415] S431: Send configuration information, wherein the configuration information includes a specific CG configuration for the second type of CG configuration.

[0416] In some embodiments, the network device may send configuration information to the terminal.

[0417] In some embodiments, a specific parameter is not included in a specific CG configuration, where the specific parameter is the number of time slots for configuring PUSCH in the CG period or the number of TO configured in the CG period.

[0418] It should be noted that the optional implementation of S431 can refer to the optional implementation of S24 in Figure 2 and other related parts in the embodiment involved in Figure 2, and will not be repeated here.

[0419] By implementing the embodiments of the present disclosure, the network device can send configuration information, wherein the configuration information includes a specific CG configuration for the second type of CG configuration to ensure normal communication.

[0420] To facilitate understanding of the embodiments of the present disclosure, an exemplary embodiment is provided.

[0421] In the exemplary embodiment, description is given by taking the first type CG configuration as a normal CG configuration, the second type CG configuration as a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration, and the network device as a base station as an example.

[0422] The terminal distinguishes between the common CG configuration (R15 / 16) and the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration configured by the base station. This helps the terminal determine some execution modes. For example, it clarifies the formula for calculating the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process ID (HP ID). The calculation formula for the HP ID corresponding to the TO (or PUSCH) in the common CG configuration is different from that in the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration, and the two cannot be mixed. Another example is the sending of UTO-UCI (unused transmission occasion-uplink control information).

[0423] In one implementation, the base station configures at least one set of CG resources for the terminal on a BWP through RRC signaling. A set of CG resources can also be called a CG period, or a CG configuration. The terminal can perform uplink transmission on the TO in all CG configurations by itself within the CG period configured by the base station. In another implementation, the base station configures partial information of at least one CG configuration for the terminal on a BWP through RRC signaling, and the base station notifies the terminal of the remaining information of the CG configuration through dynamic signaling DCI. After the base station activates the CG configuration through dynamic signaling DCI, the terminal can perform uplink transmission on the TO in the CG configuration by itself within the CG period configured by the base station.

[0424] Based on the above, in some embodiments, a method for distinguishing between a normal CG configuration and a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration includes at least one of the following:

[0425] Method 1: Determine whether the first configuration parameter is configured by RRC;

[0426] The protocol predefines a first configuration parameter. If this parameter is configured, the CG configuration corresponding to the first configuration parameter is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration. Otherwise, the CG configuration is a non-multi-PUSCHs CG configuration. A multi-PUSCHs CG configuration indicates that the number of TO / PUSCHs included in the CG period is greater than 1 or not less than 2. A non-multi-PUSCHs CG configuration indicates that the number of TO / PUSCHs included in the CG period is equal to 1.

[0427] The protocol predefines a first configuration parameter. If this parameter is not configured, the CG configuration corresponding to the first configuration parameter is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration.

[0428] Method 2: Determine an indication value of a second configuration parameter, where the second configuration parameter is configured by RRC;

[0429] The protocol predefines a second configuration parameter. If the parameter is configured as a first identifier or a first value, the CG configuration corresponding to the first configuration parameter is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration. Otherwise, the CG configuration is a non-multi-PUSCHs CG configuration. The multi-PUSCHs CG configuration indicates that the number of TO / PUSCHs included in the CG period is greater than 1 or not less than 2. The non-multi-PUSCHs CG configuration indicates that the number of TO / PUSCHs included in the CG period is equal to 1.

[0430] The protocol predefines a second configuration parameter. If the parameter is not configured as the first identifier or the first value, the CG configuration corresponding to the first configuration parameter is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration.

[0431] The protocol predefines a second configuration parameter. If this parameter is configured as an invalid value or an invalid identifier, the CG configuration corresponding to the first configuration parameter is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration.

[0432] The protocol predefines a second configuration parameter. If the parameter is not configured as an invalid value or invalid identifier, the CG configuration corresponding to the first configuration parameter is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration.

[0433] Method 3: Determine the size of the first indicator parameter of the TO number configured by the CG;

[0434] The protocol predefines a first indication parameter, which is configured by RRC signaling. If the first indication parameter is greater than 1, the corresponding CG configuration is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration.

[0435] The protocol predefines a first indication parameter, which is configured by RRC signaling. If the first indication parameter is equal to 1, the corresponding CG configuration is a non-multi-PUSCHs CG configuration. Otherwise, the CG configuration is a multi-PUSCHs CG configuration. The multi-PUSCHs CG configuration indicates that the number of TO / PUSCHs included in the CG period is greater than 1 or not less than 2. The non-multi-PUSCHs CG configuration indicates that the number of TO / PUSCHs included in the CG period is equal to 1.

[0436] Furthermore, the configuration parameters or indication parameters are configured by the base station to the terminal through RRC signaling.

[0437] In some embodiments, a method for enabling transmission of a UTO-UCI includes at least one of the following:

[0438] The protocol predefines a third configuration parameter. If this parameter is configured by the base station through RRC signaling, the UTO-UCI corresponding to the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration corresponding to the third configuration parameter does not need to be sent by the UE. Otherwise, the UTO-UCI corresponding to the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration needs to be sent.

[0439] The protocol predefines a third configuration parameter. If this parameter is not configured by the base station through RRC signaling, the UTO-UCI corresponding to the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration corresponding to the third configuration parameter does not need to be sent by the UE. Otherwise, the UTO-UCI corresponding to the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration needs to be sent.

[0440] In some embodiments, the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration needs to comply with at least one of the following principles:

[0441] When N is not configured for the terminal, the default value of N is n, which is predefined by the protocol and is an integer not less than 0. Preferably, 1 or 2.

[0442] When N is not configured for the terminal, the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration corresponding to N is considered not activated.

[0443] When N is not configured for the terminal, the multi-PUSCHs CG configuration corresponding to N is considered to be activated as a normal CG configuration.

[0444] Wherein, N is the number of time slots configured with PUSCH in one CG period, or the number of TO configured in one CG period.

[0445] In some embodiments, the application of UTO-UCI needs to comply with at least one of the following principles:

[0446] The terminal is not allowed to indicate a TO that was previously indicated as "unused" in the UTO-UCI as something other than "unused" in the subsequent UTO-UCI.

[0447] The terminal is not allowed to indicate a TO that was not indicated as "unused" in the previous UTO-UCI as "unused" in the subsequent UTO-UCI.

[0448] The embodiments of the present disclosure further provide an apparatus for implementing any of the above methods. For example, an apparatus is provided, comprising units or modules for implementing each step performed by a terminal in any of the above methods. For another example, another apparatus is provided, comprising units or modules for implementing each step performed by a network device (e.g., an access network device, a core network function node, a core network device, etc.) in any of the above methods.

[0449] It should be understood that the division of the various units or modules in the above device is merely a division of logical functions. In actual implementation, they may be fully or partially integrated into a physical entity, or they may be physically separated. In addition, the units or modules in the device may be implemented in the form of a processor calling software: for example, the device includes a processor, the processor is connected to a memory, and the memory stores instructions. The processor calls the instructions stored in the memory to implement any of the above methods or implement the functions of the various units or modules of the above device, wherein the processor is, for example, a general-purpose processor, such as a central processing unit (CPU) or a microprocessor, and the memory is a memory within the device or a memory outside the device. Alternatively, the units or modules in the device can be implemented in the form of hardware circuits, and the functions of some or all of the units or modules can be realized by designing the hardware circuits. The above-mentioned hardware circuits can be understood as one or more processors; for example, in one implementation, the above-mentioned hardware circuit is an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), which realizes the functions of some or all of the above units or modules by designing the logical relationship of the components in the circuit; for example, in another implementation, the above-mentioned hardware circuit can be realized by a programmable logic device (PLD). Taking a field programmable gate array (FPGA) as an example, it can include a large number of logic gate circuits, and the connection relationship between the logic gate circuits is configured by configuring the configuration file, thereby realizing the functions of some or all of the above units or modules. All units or modules of the above devices can be realized in the form of software called by the processor, or in the form of hardware circuits, or in part by the form of software called by the processor, and the rest by hardware circuits.

[0450] In the embodiments of the present disclosure, the processor is a circuit with signal processing capabilities. In one implementation, the processor can be a circuit with instruction reading and execution capabilities, such as a central processing unit (CPU), a microprocessor, a graphics processing unit (GPU) (which can be understood as a microprocessor), or a digital signal processor (DSP). In another implementation, the processor can implement certain functions through the logical relationship of the hardware circuit. The logical relationship of the above-mentioned hardware circuit is fixed or reconfigurable. For example, the processor is a hardware circuit implemented by an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) or a programmable logic device (PLD), such as an FPGA. In a reconfigurable hardware circuit, the process of the processor loading a configuration document and implementing the hardware circuit configuration can be understood as the process of the processor loading instructions to implement the functions of some or all of the above units or modules. In addition, it can also be a hardware circuit designed for artificial intelligence, which can be understood as an ASIC, such as a neural network processing unit (NPU), a tensor processing unit (TPU), a deep learning processing unit (DPU), etc.
