Description

[0001]Pipe assembly tool set, new pipe segment, pipe assembly system and method for pipeline rehabilitation The invention relates to a pipe assembly tool set that can be used for pipeline rehabilitation, a new pipe segment that can be used in combination with the pipe assembly tool set, a pipe assembly system comprising a pipe assembly tool set and a new pipe segment, and a method for pipeline rehabilitation carried out with the pipe assembly system. The pipe assembly tool set serves as an aid when assembling new pipe segments within existing pipelines to be renovated, for temporarily fixing the position of the new pipe segments. The methods of trenchless pipeline rehabilitation include, among others, pipe string lining or relining; in this case, new pipes with a reduced diameter - usually segmented - are inserted into the channels to be renovated, i.e., into the existing pipeline. The insertion of the new pipe segments into the existing pipeline is carried out trenchless, i.e.,Usually via installation pits, in individual cases via shaft structures. The intermediate annular space created after the new pipe segments have been inserted into the existing pipeline between the new pipe segments or the pipe string liners formed by the new pipe segments and the existing pipeline is usually filled with a hardenable tacky suspension. The swelling of the new pipe segments that occurs when the tacky suspension is filled is conventionally prevented by fixing the new pipe segments in position using socket connections with the other new pipe segments and by bracing them with wooden wedges. A disadvantage of this method is that the new pipe segments must be inserted individually. In addition to wedging with wooden wedges, other auxiliary tools or auxiliary tool systems are known for carrying out processes based on the pipe string lining principle, which can be used to brace new pipe segments in an existing pipeline.GB 2167796 A discloses temporary formwork for tunnel or sewer linings, wherein the formwork is placed in the primary lining of an existing pipeline in such a way as to create a complete annular space into which concrete is poured. The formwork can consist of panels that are bolted to the primary lining at a distance from it. DE 9101034 U1 describes a kit to support the installation of glass-fiber-reinforced new pipe segments into a sewer to be renovated. The kit includes, among other things, an adjusting screw guided in a nut attached to the pipe segment crown, whereby this and additional adjusting screws center or fix the pipe segment in the sewer.JP 2006-316591 A discloses a buoyancy prevention tool, which is also installed at the apex of the new pipe segment and presses against the existing pipeline to prevent the new pipe segment from lifting within the existing pipeline when the twilight suspension is being filled. The buoyancy prevention tool comprises a threaded rod, a support element in the form of a bar, against which a nut rests, a support plate that bears against the existing pipeline, and a cap nut for adjusting the threaded rod. JP 2009-293765 A further describes a spacer for relining existing pipelines with butt-jointed new pipe segments, i.e., new pipe segments without a socket connection. The new pipe segments are aligned in the area of the butt joints using the spacer. The spacer has two contact plates, each supported on the new pipe segment and the existing pipeline. Between the contact plates, there is also an internally threaded pipe, an adjusting screw, and a nut that rotates with the adjusting screw to hold the contact plate on the new pipe side. DE 102016102487 A1 discloses a clamping device attached to the new pipe segment to prevent the new pipe segment from being lifted, deformed, or moved into an undesirable position due to its buoyancy when the twilight suspension is poured in. An insert with an internal thread is inserted into an opening in the wall of the new pipe segment. The clamping element, which is designed as a threaded rod with an external thread (KAUFMANN Patent- und Markenanwälte W 22064 / 8.6 01.09.2024), is screwed into the insert. At the end of the threaded rod is a freely rotating, plate-like base for support on the existing pipeline.By means of a shaped element, for example an external hexagon, on the inner end of the threaded rod, the tensioning element can be adjusted with a suitable tool. Using such tools or devices, the buoyancy-preventing tensioning of the new pipe segments in the existing pipeline can be carried out. However, the known tools are relatively bulky, hinder the insertion of the new pipe segments into the existing pipeline, or are only installed at the installation site - a time-consuming process. The object of the invention is to provide a pipe installation tool set, a new pipe segment that can be combined with it, a pipe installation system, and a method for pipeline rehabilitation that make it possible to insert a new pipe segment or several interconnected new pipe segments, so-called pipe segment strings, into an existing pipeline and to temporarily tension the new pipe segment(s) to prevent buoyancy when filling the twilight suspension. The aim to be achieved is to accelerate rehabilitation measures and to significantly reduce the time required for the shut-off measures that often accompany pipeline rehabilitation. This object is achieved by a pipe assembly tool set according to claim 1, provided for pipeline rehabilitation according to the pipe string lining principle. A new pipe segment that can be combined with the proposed pipe assembly tool set is evident from claim 6; a pipe assembly system comprising the new pipe segment and the pipe assembly tool set is disclosed in claim 8. A method for pipeline rehabilitation is described in claim 9. Expedient developments of the invention are set out in claims 2 to 5, 7 and 10. According to the invention, the pipe assembly tool set used to clamp a new pipe segment in an existing pipeline comprises - as separate components or tools - a clamping element, a support element, a KAUFMANN Patent- und Markenanwälte W 22064 / 8.6 01.09.2024 threaded spindle and several detachable fastening elements for temporarily fixing the tensioning and supporting elements to the new pipe segment during the insertion of the new pipe segment into the existing pipeline. The temporary fixing is preferably carried out in such a way that the supporting element is attached to the tensioning element, both sit together in a shaped recess in the new pipe segment and are detachably fixed to the new pipe segment by means of the fastening elements. According to the invention, the tensioning element has a preferably circular tensioning disk with a spindle receiving bushing attached centrally to the tensioning disk and at least two guide bolts. The guide bolts are spaced from the spindle receiving bushing, rotationally symmetrical to the spindle receiving bushing and attached to the tensioning disk perpendicular to the tensioning disk. The tensioning element preferably has exactly two guide bolts. The threaded spindle has a spindle head section at one axial end that fits into the spindle mounting bushing of the clamping element, a tool mounting section at the other axial end, and an external thread in the central axial section. The spindle head section is preferably designed as a ball head. The support element comprises a preferably circular support disc that is shaped to match the clamping disc of the clamping element, with a central spindle guide and at least two bolt guides, each designed as a through-bore. The spindle guide has an internal thread that matches the external thread of the threaded spindle.According to the invention, the clamping and support elements are designed such that when the clamping element is attached to the support element, which involves inserting or plugging the guide bolts of the clamping element into the bolt guides of the support element, the spindle receiving bushing of the clamping element is aligned coaxially with the spindle guide of the support element, so that when the threaded spindle is screwed into the spindle guide of the support element, the clamping element can be linearly displaced and clamped against the support element in a rotationally secure manner. The threaded spindle, together with the support element, forms a helical gear which is actuated by the threaded spindle. Furthermore, the clamping and support elements are designed such that the fastening elements can be attached to the guide bolts of the clamping element to form the temporary, releasable fixation of the clamping and support elements to the new pipe segment. For the pipeline rehabilitation carried out using the proposed pipe installation tool set, a new pipe segment is preferably used which has at least one recess in the pipe wall at a position in the apex area of the pipe wall when installed as intended. This recess has a continuous spindle seat bore geometrically adapted to the spindle guide of the support element, several continuous bolt seat bores geometrically matching the guide pins, and a disc seat area on the outside of the pipe wall that is shaped to match the clamping and support disc. The disc seat area is preferably dimensioned such that when the clamping and support element is inserted into the recess, the clamping element attached to the support element is largely recessed into the pipe shell of the new pipe segment, i.e., the clamping element resting on the support element protrudes at most slightly from the outer contour of the new pipe segment surrounding the recess in the assembled state. The proposed new pipe segment is preferably made of plastic or of a plastic-based composite material, such as glass fiber reinforced plastic. The new pipe segment according to the invention preferably has a sleeve at an axial pipe end region, which makes it possible to insert or connect the new pipe segment with other new pipe segments. The new pipe segments usually have a circular cross-section, but can also have a different shape, for example an oval shape. The pipe assembly system according to the invention for pipeline rehabilitation according to the pipe string lining principle has at least one of the presented new pipe segments KAUFMANN Patent- und Markenanwälte W 22064 / 8.6 01.09.2024 as well as a pipe assembly tool set assigned to each recess of the new pipe segment(s). The method for pipe rehabilitation of the existing pipeline according to the pipe string lining principle is carried out according to the invention using the proposed pipe assembly tool set, preferably in combination with the new pipe segment described above or using the proposed pipe assembly system. It comprises the following method steps, which are carried out one after the other. First, at least one, usually several, of the proposed new pipe segments are provided. In each of the recesses of the or each of the new pipe segments, a pipe assembly tool set orThe components of the pipe assembly tool set are secured by first inserting the support element and the clamping element into the recess from the outside of the pipe wall, seated on top of each other, and then inserting the guide pins through the support element's bolt guides and the bolt seat holes in the recess. The clamping and support elements are then removably secured in the recess by attaching the fasteners to the guide pins of the clamping element on the inside of the pipe wall. The threaded spindle of the pipe assembly tool set is not yet required or attached in this process step. The new pipe segment(s) are then inserted into the intended installation position within the existing pipeline, forming an intermediate annular space between the new pipe segment and the existing pipeline. The new pipe segment is aligned so that the recess with the tensioning and support element fixed therein is located in the crown area of the existing pipeline. Otherwise, the new pipe segments are inserted according to the generally known procedure for pipe string lining or relining. Usually, all new pipe segments of a section to be renovated, i.e. generally a section between two installation shafts, are brought into the respective installation position.the new pipe segments are in the intended installation position, the threaded spindle is inserted into the spindle guide of the support element by grasping the external thread of the threaded spindle into the internal thread of the spindle guide. At the same time, the fastening elements are loosened and removed from the guide bolts of the clamping element. The new pipe segment is now clamped vertically in the existing pipeline by screwing the threaded spindle into the spindle guide of the support element, by pressing the clamping disk of the clamping element against the inside of the existing pipeline, i.e. usually against the pipe crown of the existing pipeline. The support disk of the support element, which is seated in the disk seat area of the recess, is simultaneously supported on the outside of the pipe wall on the new pipe segment. As the clamping element is pressed against the crown of the existing pipeline, the new pipe segment rests against the base of the existing pipeline so that the new pipe segment is clamped or fixed in this position in the existing pipeline. Screwing in is usually carried out using a rotating hand tool, for example a cordless screwdriver. The hand tool is placed on the tool holder area of the threaded spindle, which has a tool holder suitable for the hand tool, for example in the form of an external or internal hexagon. In the next process step, a damping suspension is filled into the intermediate annular space up to an intermediate fill level which, in relation to the vertical, lies below the recess of the new pipe segment. This means:, the intermediate annular space is partially filled to a height that is usually above the greatest width of the new pipe - but without the insulating suspension being able to flow through the recess into the interior of the new pipe segment. The preferred intermediate filling height is approximately 80% of the height of the new pipe segment. The insulating suspension then hardens, forming hardened insulating material in the partially filled intermediate annular space. KAUFMANN Patent and Trademark Attorneys W 22064 / 8.6 September 1, 2024 Once the insulating suspension has hardened, i.e. solidified to the point that the new pipe segments are fixed in the existing pipeline by the hardened insulating material, the threaded spindle is unscrewed from the spindle guide of the support element and removed. The remaining open recess is then sealed or closed with a hardenable filler; the subsequent hardening of the filler can take place automatically or with assistance. The curable filler should, if possible, be of the same or similar material as the material of the new pipe segments. When using plastic-based new pipe segments, an epoxy, phenolic, or polyester resin can be used, for example. To repair new pipe segments made of glass fiber reinforced plastic, additional glass fiber mats can also be inserted during the filling process. The professional sealing of openings, such as recesses, and the methods used for this are generally known. At the end of the process, the remaining intermediate annular space above the intermediate filling level is filled with additional damping suspension. After this has hardened, the pipeline rehabilitation is complete. The clamping element and the support element are designed as disposable parts of the assembly tool set according to the invention, i.e.After the new pipe segment has been installed, the clamping and support elements generally remain in the intermediate annular space between the new pipe segment and the existing pipeline. The clamping element usually falls into the intermediate annular space when the threaded spindle is unscrewed; the support element can also be pushed out of the recess and into the intermediate annular space. Both components are surrounded by fluid when the slurry is poured into the remaining intermediate annular space. In accessible areas at the ends of the new pipe segment, the clamping and support elements can also be removed from the intermediate annular space and reused. The threaded spindle and the fastening elements, however, are generally reusable parts of the pipe installation tool set. KAUFMANN Patent and Trademark Attorneys W 22064 / 8.6 01.09.2024 One of the advantages of the pipe assembly tool according to the invention and the method for pipeline rehabilitation carried out therewith is the quick and easy installation of the new pipe segments. In particular, it is possible to pull, push, or slide several new pipe segments, so-called pipe segment strings, already joined together outside the existing pipeline, not only individually but also in groups, into the area of the installation positions. Therefore, individual assembly, as is absolutely necessary when bracing with wooden wedges, is no longer necessary. This can significantly accelerate the pipeline rehabilitation. Another aspect that enables the method according to the invention for rapid assembly is the simple manner of clamping using common hand tools commonly used on construction sites, for example, a cordless screwdriver. Thus, by applying the technology according to the invention, pipeline rehabilitation measures can be accelerated and the time required for the shut-off measures often associated with pipeline rehabilitation can be significantly reduced. When inserting the new pipe segments into the existing pipeline and during clamping, the elements of the pipe installation tool – in contrast to tools known from the prior art – only impede the process to a minimal extent, since the clamping and supporting element, temporarily fixed to the new pipe segment by the fastening elements, builds up almost nothing on the outside of the pipe and only slightly on the inside. The insertion of the new pipe segments is thus not disrupted by outwardly projecting elements; inside the pipe, the fitter can reach the positions of the recesses without any significant hindrance. This is achieved, among other things, by the fact that the elements of the pipe assembly tool are available separately and are used in different phases of the process. With the exception of the threaded spindle, the pre-fixed components of the pipe assembly tool set are positioned directly at the point intended for clamping when the new pipe segments are inserted into the installation position; this means that they do not have to be installed time-consumingly in the cramped conditions in the new pipe segment. KAUFMANN Patent and Trademark Attorneys W 22064 / 8.6 01.09.2024 The clamping element is guided by the guide bolts during clamping in a rotation-proof manner, so that the clamping disk is moved exclusively linearly when the threaded spindle is screwed against the support disk. In this way, the inner pipe wall of the existing pipeline is reached without tilting and contact is made evenly over its entire surface. The threaded spindle guided in the spindle bushing enables free rotation of the threaded spindle and simultaneously prevents it from lateral deflection or breakage. The method according to the invention is suitable for the rehabilitation of pipelines or ducts with an inner diameter of more than 0.8 m, in particular of accessible pipelines or ducts. It can be provided that the guide pins of the clamping element each have an external thread section; preferably, the guide pins each have a smooth bolt section attached to the clamping disc and adjoining the external thread section. A predetermined breaking point in the form of a constriction of the guide pin can be formed between the smooth bolt section and the external thread section. The fastening elements that can be removably attached to the guide pins to temporarily fix the tensioning and support elements to the new pipe segment are, depending on the design of the guide pins, nuts or cap nuts with threads or partial threads that match the external thread section of the guide pins. When using conventional nuts as fastening elements, they are preferably combined with washers, in particular with body washers. An alternative to the washer-nut combination is the use of cap nuts. As an alternative to temporarily fixing the tensioning and support elements to the new pipe segment using a screw connection consisting of a threaded guide pin and a matching nut, clamping elements can also be used as fastening elements; for example, the fastening elements can be safety clips or spring clips. KAUFMANN Patent and Trademark Attorneys W 22064 / 8.6 01.09.2024 The clamping and supporting elements are preferably made of unalloyed steel; unalloyed and low-alloy steel are suitable as threaded spindle materials. The fastening elements are also usually made of steel materials. The clamping element is preferably designed as a monolithic component or is joined by a material bond from its individual components, i.e. the clamping disk, the spindle mounting bush and the guide bolts. The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments and with reference to the schematic drawings, in which identical or similar features are provided with the same reference numerals; in this case Fig. 1: the pipe assembly tool set in a longitudinal section, Fig. 2: the new pipe segment in a plan view, Fig. 3: the new pipe segment in an overview and a detailed cross-sectional view, and Fig. 4: various phases in carrying out the method for pipeline rehabilitation in a longitudinal section. The pipe assembly tool set according to Fig. 1 comprises the clamping element 1, the support element 2, the threaded spindle 3, and the fastening elements attached to the clamping element 1 in Fig. 1, namely the washers 4 and the nuts 5. The clamping element 1 has the centrally arranged spindle mounting bushing 1.2 and the two guide bolts 1.3 attached symmetrically to the spindle mounting bushing 1.2 on the clamping disk 1.1. The guide bolts 1.3 are designed as round pins with the smooth bolt section attached to the clamping disk 1.1 and the adjoining external thread section. The nut 5 - together with the washer 4 - is screwed onto the external thread section of each guide bolt 1.3. The support element 2 has the support disk 2.1, the bolt guides 2.3 matching the guide bolts 1.3, and the spindle guide 2.2 with an internal thread. KAUFMANN Patent and Trademark Attorneys W 22064 / 8.6 01.09.2024 The threaded spindle 3 has an external thread in the central axial area. One end area, the spindle head area 3.1, is designed as a spherical head; the other end area forms the tool holder area 3.2, to which a hand tool can be connected or adapted. The new pipe segment 7 according to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 has the recess 8 with the spindle seat bore 8.2 breaking through the pipe wall as well as the two flanking bolt seat bores 8.3. The bores 8.2, 8.3 are arranged in a row aligned axially with respect to the new pipe segment 7. Part (a) of Fig. 3 shows the oval shape of the new pipe segment 7 in an overview view. The disc seat area 8.1 of the recess 8 is, as can be seen from the detailed view according to part (b) of Fig. 3, recessed from the outside of the new pipe to a predetermined depth into the pipe wall of the new pipe segment 7. The procedure for pipe rehabilitation is illustrated in Fig.4 based on different phases of the process in sub-figures (a), (b), (c) and (d). The formation of the unfilled recess 8 with the disk seat area 8.1, the spindle seat bore 8.2 and the two bolt seat bores 8.3 is shown in sub-figure (a) of Fig. 4. The new pipe segments 7 are in this state when they are prepared. In the next process step, shown in sub-figure (b) of Fig. 4, the support element 2 and the clamping element 1 located thereon are inserted into the recess 8 of the new pipe segment 7. The support disk 2.1 rests in the disk seat area 8.1 of the recess 8 on the wall of the new pipe segment 7; the clamping disk 1.1 of the clamping element 1 nestles against the support disk 2.1 of the support element 2. The spindle receiving bushing 1.2 of the clamping element 1 is aligned coaxially with the spindle guide 2.2 of the support element 2. The guide bolts 1.3 of the clamping element 1 are guided through the bolt guides 2.3 of the support element 2 and then inserted through the bolt seat bore 8.3 of the recess 8. By means of the nuts 5 screwed onto the guide bolts 1.3 on the inside of the pipe, the clamping element 1 and the support element 2 are fixed to the new pipe segment 7. The washer 4 serves to protect the contact area of the nuts 5 on the inside wall of the new pipe segment 7. In this state, the new pipe segment 7 is inserted into the existing pipeline 6. At the new pipe outer diameter, there is a slight overhang due to the clamping washer 1.1 into the intermediate annular space 9; At the new pipe inner diameter, only the slightly protruding guide bolts 1.3 protrude into the interior of the new pipe segment 7. Once the installation position of the new pipe segment 7 in the existing pipeline 6 has been reached, the threaded spindle 3 is inserted into the spindle guide 2.2 of the support element 2, as shown in part (c) of Fig.4.In addition, the fastening elements, i.e. the nuts 5 and the washers 4, are removed. In the next step of the process, shown in sub-figure (d) of Fig. 4, the tensioning element 1 is moved linearly outwards by means of the threaded spindle 3, i.e. in the direction of the pipe crown of the existing pipeline 6, and pressed against this with the tensioning disk 1.1. The tensioning disk 1.1 of the tensioning element 1 rests against the inner wall of the existing pipeline 6, while at the same time the support disk 2.1 of the support element 2 bears against the new pipe segment 7. The new pipe segment 7 is thereby pressed into the base of the existing pipeline 6 and thus locked vertically in the existing pipeline 6. This tension prevents the new pipe segment 7 from floating up when the twilight suspension is filled into the intermediate annular space 9. The threaded spindle 3 is actuated at its tool holder area 3.2, preferably by means of a cordless screwdriver. This allows the threaded spindle 3 to be unscrewed again after partial filling and hardening of the twilight suspension.
