Abstract
Description
Communication method, communication device, and computer-readable medium
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on July 19, 2023, with application number 202310890972.1 and application name “Communication Method, Communication Equipment and Computer-Readable Medium”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present invention relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular to a communication method, communication equipment, and computer-readable medium. Background Art
[0003] With the development of communication technology, dual SIM dual active (DSDA) technology has been applied to mobile terminals such as mobile phones, referred to as dual-SIM terminals. A dual-SIM terminal refers to a communication device that is equipped with two SIM cards. The SIM cards can be, but are not limited to, subscriber identity modules (SIMs), universal subscriber identity modules (USIMs), embedded SIMs (eSIMs), or soft SIM cards. Taking SIM cards as an example, a dual-SIM terminal can register with the network using both SIM cards.
[0004] However, due to the limited area of the PCB board where the RF circuit is deployed, most dual-SIM terminals only have one transmit chain (Tx chain). These dual-SIM terminals are also commonly referred to as dual receive-DSDS (DR-DSDS) terminals. As shown in Figure 1, since the two SIM cards in a dual receive-DSDS terminal must share and occupy a single transmit chain, while a mobile phone 100 supporting DR-DSDS is communicating with a base station 200 via SIM card 1, the other SIM card 2 must disconnect from the network service (also known as data service) connection with the base station 200. This means that these terminals cannot conduct services simultaneously through both SIM cards, and dual-SIM dual communication cannot be achieved.
[0005] To address the issue of dual-receive, single-transmit terminals being unable to simultaneously perform services on both SIM cards, a time-division multiplexing solution has been proposed. This solution uses a time-division multiplexer to allocate time to each SIM card to process the baseband signals generated by the corresponding SIM card's services. However, this solution can easily cause network lag or increased latency on the SIM card prior to the switch (referred to as the "previous card") during the dual-SIM service switching process.
[0006] Summary of the Invention
[0007] This application provides a communication method, communication device, and computer-readable medium. This method forms two service data transmission channels within a radio frequency chip based on a physical transmission link, one for transmitting service data from SIM card 1 and the other for SIM card 2. The method then controls the transmission of service data from different SIM cards in different time periods. This method avoids the problem of high bit error rates during the transmission of service data from the previous card during service switching between SIM card 1 and SIM card 2, improves communication quality when SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 are performing concurrent services, and ultimately improves the user experience.
[0008] In the first aspect, the present application provides a communication method, using a communication device, which supports data communication services through a first communication card and a second communication card. The method includes: transmitting a first signal generated by the first communication card for performing a data communication service through a first transmission link; and transmitting a second signal generated by the second communication card for performing a data communication service through a second transmission link, wherein the first transmission link is connected to the first transmission port of the radio frequency chip of the communication device, and the second transmission link is connected to the second transmission port of the radio frequency chip of the communication device, and the first transmission link and the second transmission link perform transmission tasks through the same physical transmission device.
[0009] For example, the above-mentioned communication device can be a terminal device such as a mobile phone, and the above-mentioned first communication card and the second communication card can be SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 supported and installed by the communication device, respectively. The above-mentioned same physical transmitting device can be a transmitting link physical device that supports transmitting service data related signals when the communication device communicates through SIM card 1 and SIM card 2, such as a power amplifier / filter, an envelope tracker, a switch module, and a tuner. The above-mentioned first transmitting link can be the initial Tx path initially set in the communication device for calling the above-mentioned physical transmitting device to perform the transmission task, which is referred to as a real Tx path in the embodiment of the present application. The above-mentioned second transmitting link can be a virtual Tx path created by simulating the real Tx path. The above-mentioned first transmitting port and the second transmitting port can be two different Tx ports on the RF chip.
[0010] Therefore, the communication method provided in the first aspect above, that is, by connecting the real Tx path and the virtual Tx path to the two Tx ports of the RF chip of the communication device respectively to form a dual-path RF front end, the two Tx ports of the RF chip can be activated, so that two transmission channels for transmitting the service data of SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 are established in the RF chip. Thus, the RF chip of the communication device can receive the service data of SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 respectively based on the above two service data transmission channels when only one set of physical transmitting devices supports the transmission of service data. When processing the signals to be transmitted generated by transmitting SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 for data communication services, such as the above-mentioned first signal and second signal, the transmission task can be completed through the same physical transmitting device.
[0011] In this way, the communication method provided in the first aspect above can avoid the problem of high bit error rate in the data transmission process of the front card service during the dual-card service switching process when there is only one data transmission channel in the RF chip, reduce the problem of network freeze or large delay when the front card maintains the service, and optimize and improve the communication quality of the front card during the dual-card service switching process, fully guarantee the stability of the dual-card service, and help improve the user experience.
[0012] The first transmission link is connected to the first transmission port of the RF chip, which means that the first transmission link provides the interface parameters of the transmission link physical device to the first transmission port of the RF chip, such as the interface parameters of the physical transmission device. Similarly, the second transmission link is connected to the second transmission port of the RF chip.
[0013] In a possible implementation of the first aspect above, transmitting a first signal generated by a first communication card for a data communication service through a first transmission link includes: based on the received first signal, the radio frequency chip generates a first control instruction for the first transmission link, wherein the first control instruction is used to instruct the first transmission link to call a physical transmission device to perform a transmission task for the first signal.
[0014] For example, the first control instruction may be a MIPI instruction. After being written into the first transmit link and executed, the instruction may control the physical transmitting device indicated by the interface parameters provided by the first transmit link to perform a transmission task. For example, the transmission task may be transmitting the first signal, which may be a to-be-transmitted signal related to SIM card 1 service data.
[0015] In a possible implementation of the first aspect above, transmitting the second signal generated by the second communication card for a data communication service through the second transmission link includes: based on the received second signal, the radio frequency chip generates a second control instruction for the second transmission link, wherein the second control instruction is used to instruct the second transmission link to call a physical transmission device to perform a transmission task for the second signal.
[0016] For example, the second control instruction may be a MIPI instruction. After being written into the second transmit link and executed, the instruction may control the physical transmitting device indicated by the interface parameters provided by the second transmit link to perform a transmission task. For example, the transmission task may be transmitting the second signal, which may be a signal to be transmitted related to service data of SIM card 2.
[0017] In a possible implementation of the first aspect above, the method further includes: writing a first control instruction into a first transmission link at a first moment allocated to a first communication card; and writing a second control instruction into a second transmission link at a second moment allocated to a second communication card, wherein the first moment is different from the second moment.
[0018] Specifically, the first and second control instructions are written to the corresponding transmit links at different times, controlling the first and second transmit links to invoke the physical transmit device to perform transmission tasks at different time periods. This allows the service data of the first and second communication cards to be transmitted in separate time periods for uplink transmission. This allows the communication device to achieve dual-SIM dual-communication using the same physical transmit device.
[0019] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, the first moment and the second moment are determined based on a scheduling policy, where the scheduling policy is related to a service type occurring on the first communication card and a service type occurring on the second communication card.
[0020] In a possible implementation of the first aspect above, the scheduling strategy is determined in the following manner: when it is detected that the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the first communication card is higher than the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the second communication card, a first scheduling strategy corresponding to determining that the first moment is earlier than the second moment is determined; when it is detected that the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the second communication card is higher than the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the first communication card, a second scheduling strategy corresponding to determining that the first moment is later than the second moment is determined.
[0021] For example, the service type with a higher processing priority may be a call service, while the corresponding service type with a lower processing priority may be an internet service. The service type generated by the first communication card has a higher processing priority than the service type generated by the second communication card. For example, this may be a situation where SIM card 1 is performing a call service while SIM card 2 is performing an internet service. In this case, the first control instruction can be preferentially scheduled to be written into the first transmission link to control the physical transmission link to perform the task of transmitting the service data of SIM card 1.
[0022] Similarly, the service type generated by the second communication card has a higher processing priority than the service type generated by the first communication card. For example, this may be the case where SIM card 2 is performing a call service while SIM card 1 is performing an Internet service. In this case, the second control instruction can be preferentially scheduled to be written into the second transmission link to control the physical transmitting device to perform the task of transmitting the service data of SIM card 2.
[0023] It is understood that the first scheduling strategy or the second scheduling strategy can be generated by a processor (e.g., an application processor) on which the operating system of a terminal such as a mobile phone is based and provided to a processor (e.g., a scheduling controller) for scheduling control in the radio frequency circuit. Detailed description is omitted here.
[0024] In a possible implementation of the first aspect above, the method further includes: caching the second control instruction at a first time allocated for the first communication card; and caching the first control instruction at a second time allocated for the second communication card.
[0025] In a possible implementation of the first aspect, interface parameters provided by the first transmission link to the first transmission port for invoking the physical transmission device are the same as interface parameters provided by the second transmission link to the second transmission port for invoking the physical transmission device; and a link identification name of the first transmission link is different from a link identification name of the second transmission link.
[0026] That is, to facilitate identification of the first and second transmission links by the RF chip, the first and second transmission links may use different link identification names when connected to different Tx ports of the RF chip, but provide the same interface parameters of the physical transmitting device. The link identification names may be identifiers used to mark the first and second transmission links. For example, the link identification name of the first transmission link may be Tx0, and the link identification name of the second transmission link may be Tx0', for distinction. Alternatively, in other embodiments, for example, the link identification name of the first transmission link may be Tx0, and the link identification name of the second transmission link may be Tx1, which is not limited here.
[0027] In a possible implementation of the first aspect above, the first communication card is SIM card 1 , and the second communication card is SIM card 2 .
[0028] In the second aspect, the present application provides a communication device, including a first communication card, a second communication card and a radio frequency chip, wherein the radio frequency chip receives a first signal generated by the first communication card for data communication service, and transmits the first signal through a first transmission link; and the radio frequency chip receives a second signal generated by the second communication card for data communication service, and transmits the second signal through a second transmission link, wherein the first transmission link is connected to the first transmission port of the radio frequency chip, and the second transmission link is connected to the second transmission port of the radio frequency chip, and the first transmission link and the second transmission link perform transmission tasks through the same physical transmission device.
[0029] In a possible implementation of the second aspect, the first transmission link is an initial transmission link, the second transmission link is a transmission link virtually created based on the initial transmission link, the communications device includes a SIM card profile instructing creation of the second transmission link, and when the SIM card profile is executed by the communications device, the second transmission link can be created based on the first transmission link.
[0030] For example, the first communication card and the second communication card are SIM cards, namely, SIM card 1 and SIM card 2. The SIM card configuration files may be pre-written into the operating system of a terminal such as a mobile phone. After SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 are installed and started in the mobile phone, the radio frequency chip may read the SIM card configuration files and configure the first and second transmission links for SIM card 1 and SIM card 2, respectively, to perform uplink transmission of service data, i.e., transmit the service data of the corresponding SIM cards.
[0031] In a possible implementation of the second aspect above, the communication device also includes a first controller for receiving and caching the first control instruction and the second control instruction, and the first controller is further used to: write the first control instruction into the first transmission link at a first moment allocated to the first communication card; and write the second control instruction into the second transmission link at a second moment allocated to the second communication card, wherein the first moment is different from the second moment.
[0032] In a possible implementation of the second aspect above, the communication device also includes: a first processor, used to generate a scheduling strategy and send it to the first controller based on the business type occurring in the first communication card and the business type occurring in the second communication card, wherein the scheduling strategy is used to determine the first moment allocated to the first communication card and the second moment allocated to the second communication card.
[0033] In a possible implementation of the second aspect above, the first processor generates a scheduling strategy, including: the first processor detects that the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the first communication card is higher than the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the second communication card, and generates a first scheduling strategy corresponding to determining that the first moment is earlier than the second moment; the first processor detects that the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the second communication card is higher than the processing priority corresponding to the business type occurring on the first communication card, and generates a second scheduling strategy corresponding to determining that the first moment is later than the second moment.
[0034] In a possible implementation of the second aspect, the first communication card is SIM card 1 , and the second communication card is SIM card 2 .
[0035] In a third aspect, the present application provides a communication device comprising one or more processors; one or more memories; and one or more memories storing one or more programs. When one or more programs are executed by one or more processors, the communication device executes the communication method provided by the first aspect and various possible implementations of the first aspect.
[0036] In a fourth aspect, the present application provides a computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon, which, when executed on a computer, causes the computer to execute the communication method provided by the above-mentioned first aspect and various possible implementations of the first aspect. [0047] In order to make the purpose, technical solutions and advantages of the embodiments of the present application clearer, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and specific implementation methods.
[0048] As previously mentioned, the time-division multiplexing solution currently proposed to address the aforementioned issue of dual-receive, single-transmit terminals being unable to simultaneously perform services through two SIM cards can easily cause network lag or increased latency during the dual-SIM service switching process. This is because, when switching the baseband signal corresponding to the SIM card service, this solution requires a phase-locked loop (PLL) to adjust the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) frequency to match the uplink operating frequency of the target SIM card (or subsequent card) being switched. This process can cause a significant interruption in the transmission of service data from the preceding card, resulting in a correspondingly high bit error rate, which in turn can cause network lag or increased latency for the data communication service corresponding to that SIM card. A phase-locked loop (PLL) is a feedback control circuit that uses an external reference signal to control the frequency and phase of an internal oscillator signal within the loop. During operation, when the frequency of the output signal equals the frequency of the input signal, the output voltage maintains a fixed phase difference with the input voltage, i.e., the phase is locked.
[0049] To facilitate understanding of the present application, the causes of the above problems are analyzed in detail below with reference to the relevant drawings.
[0050] Referring to the structural diagram of a dual-receive, single-transmit terminal shown in Figure 2, terminal 100 may include a SIM card 1 interface 101, a SIM card 2 interface 102, a manager 104 coupled to SIM card 1 interface 101 and SIM card 2 interface 102, respectively, a processor 103 coupled to manager 104, and a transceiver 105 connected to processor 103. Transceiver 105 may include two receive links, the RF Rx0 path and the RF Rx1 path, for receiving data, and only one transmit link, the RF Tx path, for transmitting data. Processor 103 may be a baseband processor (BBP), for example.
[0051] The structure of the radio frequency circuit configured in the terminal 100 can be shown in Figure 3a. The time division multiplexer (MUX) in the radio frequency circuit 300 can arbitrate based on the priority of the Tx data packets to be transmitted by the two SIM cards, determining the order in which the service data of the two SIM cards is processed and transmitted through the Tx path. The time division multiplexer is a circuit structure implemented based on time division multiplexing (TDM) technology, which can use different time periods of the same physical connection to transmit different signals. Based on the arbitration result, the time division multiplexer can schedule the baseband software (modem) M0 corresponding to SIM card 1 to process the baseband signal processed by the baseband processor (baseband processor) M0 and encoder M0 corresponding to SIM card 1 in the time slot allocated to SIM card 1, and provide the corresponding control instructions to the radio frequency integrated circuit (RFIC), thereby controlling the Tx path of the radio frequency front end to complete the transmission, thereby realizing the call or Internet service of SIM card 1. In addition, in the time slot allocated to SIM card 2, the time division multiplexer can schedule the baseband software (modem) M1 corresponding to SIM card 2 to process the baseband signal processed by the baseband processor M1 and encoder M1 corresponding to SIM card 2, and provide it to the radio frequency chip (RFIC) to generate corresponding control instructions, control the Tx path of the radio frequency front end to complete the transmission, so as to realize the call or Internet service on SIM card 1.
[0052] In this way, dual-SIM dual communication can be implemented on the dual-receiving and single-transmitting terminal 100, and the dual-SIM services can be ensured to be available through time division multiplexing during the time period when the dual-SIM services occur simultaneously.
[0053] However, when the time-division multiplexer schedules the baseband software (modem) corresponding to SIM card 1 or SIM card 2 to switch dual-SIM services, the uplink operating frequencies of the two cards (SIM card 1 and SIM card 2) may be different. In the RF circuit of the terminal supporting time-division multiplexing (DSDA) shown in Figure 3a, the RF chip can only access the service data of one SIM card through the Tx channel during the same time period (time slot) to process and transmit the service data. Therefore, when switching dual-SIM services, the RF chip needs to re-phase-lock the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) frequency to match the uplink operating frequency of the target SIM card through the phase-locked loop (PLL). Only then can the RF chip receive the service data from the target SIM card (SIM card 1 or SIM card 2) at the corresponding operating frequency and process and transmit it.
[0054] For example, when SIM card 1 is accessing the internet, the time division multiplexer dispatches the service data corresponding to SIM card 1 to the Tx channel. The RF chip can then receive and transmit the service data from SIM card 1 using the uplink operating frequency f1 corresponding to SIM card 1. At this point, if SIM card 2 generates an incoming call, the time division multiplexer dispatches the service data corresponding to SIM card 2 to the Tx channel. Since the RF chip only has one Tx port capable of transmitting service data, it must switch to the uplink operating frequency f2 corresponding to SIM card 2 to receive and transmit the service data from SIM card 2. The process of switching from receiving service data from SIM card 1 using frequency f1 to receiving service data from SIM card 2 using frequency f2 requires the aforementioned phase-locked loop (PLL) to phase-lock the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) frequency. A typical PLL requires more than 140 microseconds to complete phase lock and achieve frequency matching.
[0055] As shown in Figure 3b, during timeslots Slot0 and Slot1 allocated for SIM card 1, the RF chip controls the RF front-end's Tx channel to transmit SIM card 1's service data. Conversely, during timeslots Slot2 and Slot3 allocated for SIM card 2, the RF chip controls the RF front-end's Tx channel to transmit SIM card 2's service data. Therefore, to ensure smooth switching to f2 to receive the baseband signal from SIM card 2, the aforementioned frequency matching process using the phase-locked loop (PLL) must be performed during timeslot Slot1, corresponding to when the RF chip receives SIM card 1's service data. This relocking and frequency matching process begins at the "PLL Switch" moment shown in Figure 3b. Furthermore, to transmit SIM card 2's service data, the RF chip also needs to write control instructions to the RF front-end's Tx channel to complete the corresponding RF configuration, as shown in the "Tx RFFE Configuration" section in Figure 3b. In this way, the process of the RF chip receiving the signal corresponding to the SIM card 1 service data will be interrupted (dropped) from the moment of "PLL switching", resulting in frame loss or signal transmission interruption and other problems, and ultimately leading to a higher bit error rate in the SIM card 1 service data transmission process, network freezes or increased latency, and the user experience will be reduced.
[0056] Therefore, in order to solve the above problems, an embodiment of the present application provides a communication method, which can be applied to a terminal supporting dual-receive single-transmit (DR-DSDS).
[0057] Specifically, the method simulates and creates a virtual transmission link (hereinafter referred to as a virtual Tx path) based on the initial transmission link (hereinafter referred to as a real Tx path) for controlling the physical transmission device to perform the transmission task according to the initial configuration of the terminal. The virtual Tx path is essentially provided to the RF chip by simulating the interface parameters of the transmission link physical device actually possessed by the terminal. When data needs to be transmitted through the virtual Tx path, the control instructions written into the virtual Tx path can act on the actual transmission link physical device possessed by the terminal to perform transmission. In this way, the above-mentioned virtual Tx path can be connected to different Tx ports of the RF chip respectively with the real Tx path to form a dual-path RF front-end. The virtual Tx path and the real Tx path are respectively connected to different Tx ports of the RF chip, so that the two data transmission channels in the RF chip can be activated, and the RF chip can correspondingly prepare two receiving channels of different frequencies for receiving dual-card service data, which are used to receive service data of SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 respectively.
[0058] It is understood that in the embodiments of the present application, the aforementioned "connection" refers to providing the interface parameters of the physical transmit link components to the Tx port of the RF chip. For example, the aforementioned virtual Tx path and real Tx path can provide the same set of interface parameters of the physical transmit link components (such as power amplifiers) to different Tx ports of the RF chip.
[0059] That is, in one example, the RF chip can provide a channel for receiving SIM card 1's service data and processing the transmission at the uplink operating frequency f1 corresponding to SIM card 1, and a channel for receiving SIM card 2's service data and processing the transmission at the uplink operating frequency f2 corresponding to SIM card 2. Therefore, when SIM card 1 is performing Internet access services, if SIM card 2 receives an incoming call service, based on the communication method provided in this application, the RF chip can receive the service data of each SIM card separately at f1 corresponding to SIM card 1 and f2 corresponding to SIM card 2, without going through the above-mentioned phase-locked loop (PLL) switching phase lock for frequency matching.
[0060] It can be understood that the RF chip can generate two sets of control instructions for different Tx channels according to the dual-card concurrent transmission mode based on the service data received from the two SIM cards. The above two sets of control instructions can be used to control the real Tx channel and the virtual Tx channel to process the transmission of different SIM card service data respectively. The terminal can receive the above control instructions for controlling the real Tx channel and the virtual Tx channel through a preset scheduling controller or controller, and then schedule the execution of the control instructions corresponding to each Tx channel in time periods. Each Tx channel (real Tx channel and virtual Tx channel) can execute the written control instructions to call the transmission link physical device of the RF front end to perform the transmission task and complete the transmission of the corresponding SIM card service data. In this way, the real Tx channel and the virtual Tx channel can use a set of transmission link physical devices supported by the terminal at this time in time periods to achieve dual-card dual-channel.
[0061] As previously mentioned, the RF chip, based on two Tx channels, can use data transmission channels with corresponding frequencies to receive service data from different SIM cards, thereby avoiding the phase-locked loop (PLL) switching phase lock for frequency matching. Based on this, the aforementioned unified scheduling of control instructions corresponding to the real Tx channel and the virtual Tx channel can also systematically control the RF front-end physical components to process the transmission of corresponding SIM card service data in different time slots (i.e., time periods). This, while enabling the processing and transmission of dual-SIM service data, can reduce the bit error rate during the dual-SIM service switching process caused by the previous card service data transmission process, thereby helping to reduce latency and reduce or avoid network lag issues.
[0062] It can be understood that the above-mentioned RF chip, based on the connected two-way Tx channel RF front-end, controls the RF chip to generate two sets of control instructions for different Tx channels for the two SIM card services in the case of concurrent dual-card services. This transmission mode can correspond to the full concurrency dual-card dual-channel (DSDA) (FC DSDA) transmission mode used on dual-card dual-channel (DSDA) terminals. In this transmission mode, the terminal's SIM card chip management platform can control the baseband system and RF system to independently process the service data of each SIM card and guide the RF chip to generate two independent sets of control instructions to independently control the transmission, instead of using the link multiplexing (Tx sharing DSDA) transmission mode commonly used by dual-receive and single-transmit terminals to process the transmission of service data. This can avoid the problem of high bit error rate during the transmission of the front-card service data caused by the need to use a phase-locked loop (PLL) to switch phase lock in the link multiplexing (Tx sharing DSDA) transmission mode.
[0063] At the same time, the communication method provided in this application is also conducive to realizing dual-card dual-pass in the dual-receive single-transmit (DR-DSDS) mode, thereby improving the flexibility of such terminals supporting dual-receive single-transmit (DR-DSDS) in scheduling and processing dual-card services.
[0064] As shown in FIG4a, the RF circuit 400 using the communication method provided by the present application may include, in addition to a baseband processor 401, a baseband processor 402, an encoder 403, an encoder 404, a radio frequency chip (RFIC) 405, and a radio frequency switch 406, two RF Tx paths capable of controlling the RF front-end physical devices to perform transmission tasks, namely, the Tx0 path and the Tx0' path shown in FIG4a. The RF front-end physical devices may include a power amplifier (PA) / filter 409, an envelope tracker (ET, see ET0 shown in FIG4a) that supplies power to the power amplifier, a switch module 410, and a tuner 411, etc., without limitation. The Tx0 path may be the above-mentioned real Tx path, and the Tx0' path may be a virtual Tx path created corresponding to the simulated Tx0 path. The transmit link interface parameters provided by these two RF Tx paths to the two Tx ports of the RF chip 405 may be the same as the interface parameters of the RF front-end physical devices such as the power amplifier / filter 409.
[0065] In addition, the RF circuit 400 may further include a scheduling controller 407. The scheduling controller 407 may uniformly receive two sets of control instructions generated by the RF chip 405 based on the baseband signals corresponding to the services of SIM card 1 and SIM card 2, respectively, and then perform time-slot scheduling. The scheduling controller 407 may obtain a scheduling policy provided by the application processor 408 of the mobile phone 100 to execute the time-slot scheduling process. The application processor 408 may interact with the SIM card chip management platform to obtain service-related parameters such as the frequency band corresponding to each SIM card, the carrier information to which it belongs, and the network standards supported, as well as whether the service being performed on each SIM card is a call service or an internet service. Based on the obtained information or parameters, the scheduling policy or control policy provided to the scheduling controller 407 may be determined. The scheduling policy may determine the order in which the scheduling controller 407 processes control instructions corresponding to SIM card 1 or SIM card 2 (e.g., control instruction 1 and control instruction 2 shown in FIG. 4 a ). As an example, the scheduling controller 407 may be a hardware controller, a chip, or a software program having a scheduling control function. For example, the scheduling controller 407 may be implemented by an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC). The application processor 408 may be a system on chip (SoC), etc., which is not limited here.
[0066] It is understood that the SIM card chip management platform refers to a platform, system, or subsystem that provides "SIM card management" functional services. In other embodiments, it can also be described as a SIM card management system or SIM card management service, etc., which is not limited here.
[0067] It can be understood that the baseband processor 401, encoder 403, RF chip 405, RF switch 406, and scheduling controller 407 are used to implement services such as calls or Internet access on SIM card 1; the baseband processor 402, encoder 404, RF chip 405, RF switch 406, and scheduling controller 407 are used to implement calls or Internet access on SIM card 2. The RF switch 406 can be, for example, a single-pole double-throw switch (SPDT), etc., which is used to control the service data of the corresponding SIM card to be sent to the Tx0 channel or the Tx0' channel, without limitation herein.
[0068] In this embodiment of the present application, the interface parameters provided to the RF chip 405 by the Tx0' path simulate the interface parameters of the physical components of the transmit link. Therefore, the power amplifier / filter, switch module (e.g., ASM / XSW / ...), and tuner on the Tx0' path can be understood as virtual components. As previously described, when data needs to be transmitted via the virtual Tx path, the control instructions written for the Tx0' path can actually act on the physical components such as the power amplifier / filter 409, switch module 410, and tuner 411, performing power adjustment and other processing on the signal to be transmitted, indicating that the Tx0' path is to be transmitted, before completing the transmission.
[0069] In this way, the SIM card chip management platform can perform RF configuration based on the dual-channel RF front-end formed by the two Tx ports on the RF chip, that is, schedule the service data processing strategy corresponding to the dual Tx channels. For example, using the above-mentioned FC DSDA transmission mode, the RF chip is controlled to generate two sets of control instructions for the baseband signals generated by the SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 services, such as mobile industry processor interface (MIPI) instructions, which are used to control the transmission of corresponding service data for the RF Tx channels configured for different SIM cards. It can be understood that the controlled devices of MIPI instructions are generally RF front-end modules, such as the above-mentioned power amplifier, low noise amplifier (LNA) and switch. The process of configuring RF Tx channels for different SIM cards is called RF configuration. This RF configuration can, for example, configure the signal to be transmitted corresponding to the SIM card 1 service to the Tx0 channel, and configure the signal to be transmitted corresponding to the SIM card 2 service to the Tx0' channel.
[0070] Furthermore, during the process of the RF front-end controlling the uplink transmission of two to-be-transmitted signals corresponding to the dual SIM cards (e.g., dual-SIM service switching), the two sets of control instructions (e.g., MIPI instructions) generated by the RF chip 405 can be respectively configured for different Tx channels based on the RF configuration. However, before being sent to the corresponding RF Tx channels for execution, the MIPI instructions can be uniformly received by the scheduling controller 407. Furthermore, the scheduling controller 407 can schedule the control instructions corresponding to the corresponding SIM card to be written to the Tx0 or Tx0' channel according to the priority of the dual-SIM service, thereby controlling the physical components such as the power amplifier configured in the terminal to process the to-be-transmitted signals configured to be transmitted on the corresponding channel.
[0071] Referring to Figure 4b , based on the RF circuitry shown in Figure 4a , scheduling controller 407 can schedule control instructions corresponding to SIM card 1 to be written to the Tx0 path configured in the RF front-end during prioritized time slots (e.g., Slot 0 and Slot 1) to control the uplink transmission of pending signals related to the services on SIM card 1. When switching to processing and transmitting pending signals related to the services on SIM card 2, scheduling controller 407 can control the writing of configuration instructions (i.e., the RFFE configuration instructions shown in Figure 4b ) to the RF front-end a short time (e.g., 30µs) in advance, as compared to the switching process shown in Figure 3b , as a response to the MIPI control instructions corresponding to the Tx0' path. The written RFFE configuration instructions are not yet effective and therefore do not affect the uplink transmission of service data on SIM card 1 prior to the switch. Then, before the time slot (for example, Slot2) arrives, a trigger instruction (for example, the RFFE trig instruction shown in Figure 4b) can be executed on the Tx0' path of the RF front end to trigger the above-mentioned RFFE configuration instruction to take effect. Only then will the hardware resources such as the power amplifier of the RF front end be scheduled to the Tx0' path for use to process the business data related to SIM card 2 or the signal to be transmitted.
[0072] Obviously, the time point of executing the RFFE configuration instruction is later than the time point of writing the RFFE configuration instruction. Therefore, the communication method provided by this application can cause a maximum interruption of about 30us in the time slot Slot1 for processing the SIM card 1 service during the dual-card service switching. Usually, the interruption duration can be controlled within 30us or shorter. Comparing the "PLL switching" moment and the "Tx RFFE configuration" moment shown in Figure 3b above, based on the communication method provided by this application, the problem of the SIM card 1 service data transmission process (about 140us) being interrupted due to PLL switching in the RF chip is avoided. Therefore, the bit error rate during the transmission of the SIM card 1 service data in the Slot1 time slot can be reduced, which is conducive to reducing the problems of network freezes and large delays in the switching process of SIM card 1.
[0073] It can be understood that the system of the dual-SIM terminal that implements the communication method provided by the present application to realize the process of creating a virtual Tx path and configuring the RF front end, etc., can be, for example, a communication subsystem in the operating system carried by the terminal, or a communication system, such as a modem subsystem. The above-mentioned process of configuring the RF front end by creating a virtual Tx path can be simply referred to as the RF configuration process, that is, the RF configuration can additionally configure a virtual Tx link to form two concurrent Tx paths with the actual Tx link to support the fully concurrent dual-SIM dual-channel (FC DSDA) transmission mode.
[0074] It can be understood that the communication method provided in the embodiments of the present application is applicable to electronic devices including but not limited to mobile phones, tablet computers, desktop computers, laptop computers, handheld computers, netbooks, and augmented reality (AR) / virtual reality (VR) devices, smart TVs, smart watches and other wearable devices, servers, mobile email devices, car devices, portable game consoles, portable music players, reader devices, televisions with one or more processors, or other electronic devices that can support two SIM cards to access the network.
[0075] Based on the radio frequency circuit structure shown in FIG4 a above, FIG5 shows a schematic diagram of an interactive process for implementing a communication method according to an embodiment of the present application.
[0076] It should be stated here that the steps in the methods and processes in the embodiments of the present application are numbered for ease of reference, rather than to limit the order of precedence. If there is a sequence between the steps, the written description shall prevail.
[0077] As shown in FIG5 , the interaction process may involve the radio frequency chip 405, the scheduling controller 407 and the application processor 408 of the mobile phone 100 in the radio frequency circuit 400. Specifically, the interaction process may include the following steps:
[0078] 501: The RF chip 405 loads the SIM card configuration file and configures a first Tx channel and a second Tx channel on the two Tx ports respectively.
[0079] For example, the first Tx path can be a real Tx path configured in a SIM card configuration file, and the second Tx path can be a virtual Tx path configured in a SIM card configuration file. The SIM card configuration file can be pre-written into the operating system of a terminal such as mobile phone 100. The SIM card configuration file can pre-configure RF chip 405 to use the first Tx path to transmit service data from SIM card 1 and to use the second Tx path to transmit service data from SIM card 2. After SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 are installed in mobile phone 100 and put into operation, RF chip 405 can read the SIM card configuration file and configure the first and second Tx paths for SIM card 1 and SIM card 2, respectively.
[0080] It is understood that, in order to enable the RF chip to distinguish between the first Tx path and the second Tx path, different link identification names can be marked when configuring the first Tx path and the second Tx path to the two Tx ports respectively. For example, the first Tx path can be marked as Tx0 and the second Tx path can be marked as Tx0', or the first Tx path can be marked as Tx0 and the second Tx path can be marked as Tx1, etc. This is not limited here.
[0081] It can be understood that in the embodiment of the present application, the above-mentioned radio frequency chip 405 can be implemented in hardware or software. For example, the medium access control (MAC) layer and the physical layer (Phy) in the radio frequency chip 405 architecture are all implemented by hardware logic. For another example, the radio frequency function of the radio frequency chip 405 can also be implemented by a software defined radio (SDR) with radio frequency function. Among them, SDR is a module that implements various communication functions in software on a general hardware platform. There is no limitation here.
[0082] 502: The radio frequency chip 405 obtains radio frequency configuration and configures two Tx channels to transmit corresponding SIM card service data.
[0083] For example, the first Tx channel can be configured to transmit first communication card service data, or in other words, the first communication card service data can be configured to be transmitted uplink (i.e., transmitted) using the first Tx channel; correspondingly, the second Tx channel can be configured to transmit second communication card service data, or in other words, the second communication card service data can be configured to be transmitted uplink (i.e., transmitted) using the second Tx channel. The first communication card can be SIM card 1, and the first Tx channel can be the Tx0 channel; correspondingly, the second communication card can be SIM card 2, and the second Tx channel can be the Tx0' channel.
[0084] It is understood that the result of the RF chip 405 configuring the Tx path for the service data corresponding to each SIM card can be any combination of the aforementioned SIM card 1, SIM card 2, and the aforementioned Tx0 path and Tx0' path. For example, the aforementioned first communication card can also be SIM card 2, and the corresponding first Tx path can be the aforementioned Tx0 path; or the aforementioned first communication card can be SIM card 1, and the corresponding first Tx path can be the aforementioned Tx0' path, without limitation.
[0085] 503 : The radio frequency chip 405 sends the radio frequency configuration result to the scheduling controller 407 .
[0086] Illustratively, the RF chip 405 may send the result of executing the configuration corresponding to step 502 , ie, the RF configuration result, to the scheduling controller 407 to inform the scheduling controller 407 which Tx path each SIM card service data may be transmitted through.
[0087] In other embodiments, the RF chip 405 may not execute step 503 to transmit the RF configuration result, but may instead instruct the two Tx channels to respectively configure the transmitted SIM card service data when executing step 505 to transmit the control instruction. The dashed line in step 503 in FIG5 indicates that the step may or may not be executed, and this is not a limitation.
[0088] In this way, the scheduling controller 407 can schedule the control instructions corresponding to each Tx path based on the radio frequency configuration result.
[0089] 504: The radio chip 405 detects the concurrent service status of the dual cards and triggers switching to the FC DSDA transmission mode.
[0090] For example, referring to FIG4a , when mobile phone 100 is performing communication services through SIM card 1, for example, mobile phone 100 is refreshing a game interface through Internet access through SIM card 1, and at the same time, SIM card 2 of mobile phone 100 receives an incoming call service. At this time, the service state of mobile phone 100 will switch from a single-card (e.g., SIM card 1) data service state to a dual-card (e.g., SIM card 1 and SIM card 2) concurrent service state. At this time, RF chip 405 can detect the change in the above service state, that is, detect the FC DSDA service state.
[0091] In this service state, the baseband system changes from outputting the baseband signal of SIM card 1 to simultaneously outputting the baseband signals of SIM card 1 and SIM card 2. Therefore, in order to meet the demand of transmitting service data in the FC DSDA service state, the radio frequency chip 405 needs to switch the transmission mode to the FC DSDA transmission mode.
[0092] 505 : The RF chip 405 sends MIPI control instructions for two Tx channels to the scheduling controller 407 in the FC DSDA transmission mode.
[0093] Exemplarily, the RF chip 405 can generate a control instruction to instruct the RF front end to process the baseband signal corresponding to each SIM card service into a RF signal and transmit it based on the received baseband signal corresponding to each SIM card service. As mentioned above, the control instruction can be, for example, a MIPI instruction. The control instruction can instruct the corresponding Tx path to process the signal to be transmitted, and actually act on the physical devices in the transmission link actually configured on the dual-card terminal such as the mobile phone 100, such as the power amplifier / filter 409, the switch module 410, and the tuner 411. Among them, the MIPI control instruction generated by the RF chip 405 can be a control instruction for the first Tx path (for example, the Tx0 path shown in Figure 4a) and the second Tx path. After the RF chip 405 generates the above control instruction, it can be sent to the corresponding Tx path of the RF front end. In the embodiment of the present application, the above control instruction can be uniformly connected to the scheduling controller 407 before being sent to the corresponding Tx path. For details, please refer to the relevant description in the following step 506.
[0094] It can be understood that at this time the RF chip 405 can operate in MIPI RFFE trigger mode. This control mode can control multiple physical devices of the RF front end to work simultaneously, and the corresponding control interface can also complete instructions or data access control in a shorter time.
[0095] 506: The scheduling controller 407 caches the received control instruction.
[0096] For example, the control instructions generated by the RF chip 405 and sent to the two Tx channels for controlling the transmission of dual-SIM service data can be uniformly received by the scheduling controller 407 and then scheduled. For example, the scheduling controller 407 can connect to the instruction transmission interface of the RF chip 405 to obtain the MIPI control instructions sent to the two Tx channels and store them in the corresponding instruction memory, that is, cache the received control instructions. Furthermore, the scheduling controller 407 can schedule the execution of the received control instructions in different time periods based on the scheduling policy obtained in step 509 below.
[0097] 507: The application processor 408 determines the priority of corresponding transmission of the dual-SIM card service data based on the service-related parameters of each SIM card.
[0098] Exemplarily, for example, the application processor 408 can also determine that the service of SIM card 2 takes precedence over SIM card 1 based on the identified service type (such as Internet service) parameters of SIM card 1 and the service type (such as VOLTE or VoNR voice call service) parameters currently being performed by SIM card 2, and then determine the corresponding transmission priority of the dual-card service data.
[0099] It is understandable that the service-related parameters based on which the application processor 408 determines the priority of corresponding transmission of dual-SIM service data are not limited to the parameters in the above examples, and may also include other parameters related to each SIM card service, which will not be described in detail here.
[0100] 508 : The application processor 408 generates a corresponding scheduling policy based on the determined priority.
[0101] For example, after determining the priority for transmitting the dual-SIM service data, the application processor 408 may generate a corresponding scheduling policy based on the priority. For example, when the priority determined above is that the SIM card 1 service takes precedence over the SIM card 2 service, the corresponding scheduling policy may be to schedule and execute the control instructions corresponding to SIM card 1 in the earlier time slots (e.g., Slot 0 and Slot 1 shown in FIG. 4 b ), and to schedule and execute the control instructions corresponding to SIM card 2 in the later time slots (e.g., Slot 2 shown in FIG. 4 b ). For another example, when the priority determined above is that the SIM card 2 service takes precedence over the SIM card 1 service, the corresponding scheduling policy generated by the application processor 408 may be to schedule and execute the control instructions corresponding to SIM card 2 in the earlier time slots, and to schedule and execute the control instructions corresponding to SIM card 1 in the later time slots. This is not limited here and will not be described in detail.
[0102] 509 : The application processor 408 sends the scheduling policy to the scheduling controller 407 .
[0103] For example, after generating a scheduling policy, the application processor 408 may send the generated scheduling policy to the scheduling controller 407 so that the scheduling controller 407 can update the generated scheduling policy as a basis for scheduling control instructions. It is understood that the scheduling controller 407 may request the latest scheduling policy from the application processor 408 and update it at any time before performing time-slot scheduling on the cached control instructions.
[0104] 510: The scheduling controller 407 schedules the corresponding SIM card on the corresponding allocated time slot according to the scheduling order controlled by the scheduling policy.
[0105] For example, the scheduling controller 407 may determine the priority SIM card based on the obtained scheduling policy, for example, determine whether to prioritize SIM card 1 or SIM card 2 in the earlier time slot, and then perform the following step 511 on the control instruction corresponding to the scheduled SIM card.
[0106] 511: The scheduling controller 407 writes the corresponding buffered control instruction to the Tx channel correspondingly configured for the scheduled SIM card, so as to control the RF front-end physical device to transmit the corresponding service data.
[0107] For example, the scheduling controller 407 may write a corresponding control instruction to the Tx channel, such as the Tx0 channel (i.e., the real Tx channel) or the Tx0' channel (i.e., the virtual Tx channel), based on the Tx channel indicated by the control instruction corresponding to the scheduled SIM card. The control instruction may be, for example, a control instruction cached by the scheduling controller 407, or a control instruction converted or generated by the scheduling controller 407 based on the cached control instruction. The control instruction may also be the MIPI control instruction.
[0108] As an example, the process of writing the control instruction can be that the scheduling controller 407 writes the control instruction to the instruction register controlling the Tx0 path. Furthermore, the processor or controller controlling the operation of the Tx0 path can read the written instruction and control the physical components of the transmit link actually controlled by the Tx0 path to perform power amplification, filtering, and gain control on the signal to be transmitted from the corresponding SIM card before transmitting it.
[0109] It is understood that the written control instructions will not take effect at the time of writing. When the hardware controller or processor on the Tx path executes the MIPI instruction at the corresponding configured trigger time, the written control instructions can be triggered to be executed. At this time, the MIPI control instructions can act on the actual controlled physical devices such as the power amplifier / filter 409, the switch module 410, and the tuner 410 to process the transmitted signal corresponding to the corresponding SIM card service, that is, to transmit the service data of the corresponding SIM card.
[0110] As mentioned above, the above-mentioned physical devices are circuit devices on the only transmission link supported by the dual-SIM terminal supporting DR-DSDS in the communication service of a specific frequency band. Figure 6 shows a schematic diagram of a process of processing two SIM card service data in different time periods on the same transmission link according to an embodiment of the present application.
[0111] As shown in Figure 6, the baseband system 610 of the dual-SIM terminal 600 supporting DR-DSDS can process the services of SIM card 1 and SIM card 2 to generate corresponding baseband signals, and provide them to the radio frequency system 620 for transmission processing. In this embodiment of the present application, the baseband system 610 may include the baseband processor 401, baseband processor 402, encoder 403, encoder 404 and other structures shown in Figure 4a above, which will not be described in detail here.
[0112] The radio frequency system 620 of the dual-card terminal 600 that supports DR-DSDS can, based on the above-mentioned communication method provided in this application, use the FC DSDA transmission mode to control the time-divided transmission processing of the service data of SIM card 1 and the service data of SIM card 2. Among them, the data corresponding to the service of SIM card 1 can interact with the base station corresponding to network 1, and the data corresponding to the service of SIM card 2 can interact with the base station corresponding to network 2, so that the dual-card terminal 600 can simultaneously support SIM card 1 for Internet access services and SIM card 2 for voice call services, or notify SIM card 2 to support Internet access services and SIM card 1 for voice call services.
[0113] It can be understood that based on the above-mentioned communication method provided in this application, a transmission link of a dual-card terminal can be scheduled in time periods through a real Tx channel and a virtual Tx channel to process the service data on two SIM cards without causing a high bit error rate, which is beneficial to reducing the possibility of network freezes or large delays during the dual-card service switching process, and is therefore beneficial to improving the user experience.
[0114] It can be understood that for dual-card terminals that support DR-DSDS, the above-mentioned Tx sharing DSDA transmission mode can usually be used. When the signals to be transmitted corresponding to the dual-card services that need to be switched meet certain conditions, for example, when the frequency bands corresponding to the dual cards are low frequency or medium and high frequency, in order to reduce the occurrence of network freezes or increased latency during service switching, the communication method provided by this application can be used to create a virtual Tx path to form two Tx paths to support the RF chip to process the signals to be transmitted separately, that is, to implement the FC DSDA transmission mode on the dual-card terminal that supports DR-DSDS.
[0115] 7 shows a schematic structural diagram of a mobile phone 100 according to an embodiment of the present application. The mobile phone 100 may be any exemplary communication device among the dual-SIM cards supporting DR-DSDS to which the above-mentioned communication method provided in the present application is applied.
[0116] As shown in Figure 7, the mobile phone 100 may include a processor 110, an external memory interface 120, an internal memory 121, a universal serial bus (USB) interface 130, a charging management module 140, a power management module 141, a battery 142, an antenna 1, an antenna 2, a mobile communication module 150, a wireless communication module 160, an audio module 170, a speaker 170A, a receiver 170B, a microphone 170C, an earphone interface 170D, a sensor module 180, a button 190, a motor 191, an indicator 192, a camera 193, a display 194, and a subscriber identity module (SIM) card interface 195, etc. The sensor module 180 may include a pressure sensor 180A, a gyroscope sensor 180B, an air pressure sensor 180C, a magnetic sensor 180D, an acceleration sensor 180E, a distance sensor 180F, a proximity light sensor 180G, a fingerprint sensor 180H, a temperature sensor 180J, a touch sensor 180K, an ambient light sensor 180L, a bone conduction sensor 180M, etc.
[0117] It should be understood that the illustrated structure of the embodiment of the present invention does not constitute a specific limitation on the mobile phone 100. In other embodiments of the present application, the mobile phone 100 may include more or fewer components than shown, or some components may be combined or separated, or arranged differently. This memory can store instructions or data that have just been used or are being recycled by processor 110. If processor 110 needs to use the same instruction or data again, it can directly access the memory. This avoids duplicate accesses, reduces processor 110 latency, and thus improves system efficiency.

It converts the data to be transmitted between serial communication and parallel communication. In some embodiments, the UART interface is typically used to connect the processor 110 and the wireless communication module 160. For example, the processor 110 communicates with the Bluetooth module in the wireless communication module 160 via the UART interface to implement Bluetooth functionality.
[0127] The MIPI interface can be used to connect the processor 110 to peripheral devices such as the display 194 and the camera 193. The processor 110 and the display 194 communicate via the DSI interface to enable the display function of the mobile phone 100.
[0128] The GPIO interface can be configured via software. The GPIO interface can be configured as either a control signal or a data signal. The USB interface 130 can be used to connect a charger to charge the mobile phone 100 and to transfer data between the mobile phone 100 and peripheral devices. It can also be used to connect headphones to play audio. This interface can also be used to connect other electronic devices, such as augmented reality devices.
[0130] It is understood that the interface connection relationship between the modules illustrated in the embodiment of the present invention is merely an illustrative illustration and does not constitute a structural limitation on the mobile phone 100. In other embodiments of the present application, the mobile phone 100 may also adopt a different interface connection method from the above embodiment, or a combination of multiple interface connection methods.
[0131] The charging management module 140 is configured to receive charging input from a charger. The charger can be either a wireless charger or a wired charger.
