Abstract
Description
Mobile device stand Technical Field
[0001] The present application relates to the field of storage racks, and in particular to a mobile device stand that can present multiple upright states after being folded and unfolded, so that users can place mobile devices thereon and stand the mobile devices upright. Background Art
[0002] With recent advancements in mobile communication technology, mobile devices such as mobile phones, tablet computers, and laptops have become indispensable in our daily lives. However, these devices are often used for watching videos, searching for information, or accessing social media. These devices often require handheld viewing and operation, which can be inconvenient.
[0003] Generally speaking, when holding a mobile device in one hand, the user can only use the other hand to control and use the device. This is particularly inconvenient for larger mobile devices such as tablet computers, and also limits the user's hands. Therefore, if the user could use the mobile device indoors by placing it flat on a surface such as a table, the user would have both hands free for use. However, in this case, the mobile device can only be placed flat on the table, making it difficult for the user to view the screen content or operating the screen at an inconvenient angle. This still poses many inconveniences and needs to be improved.
[0004] In view of this, the applicant has accumulated rich experience in related industries for many years and conceived and proposed a foldable positioning mobile device support structure to address the shortcomings of existing usage methods.

[0056] Although the terms "first", "second", "third", etc. may be used herein to describe
[0057] Various elements, components, regions, or portions are used herein, but these elements, components, regions, and / or portions should not be limited by these terms. These terms are only used to distinguish one element, component, region, or portion from another element, component, region, layer, or portion. Therefore, the following "first..." can be interpreted as "second..." or "third..." without departing from the teachings of this document.
[0058] Please refer to Figures 1, 5, and 8. The present application discloses a mobile device stand, which mainly includes a coupling portion 10, a first support portion 20, and a second support portion 30. The coupling portion 10 can be directly or indirectly fixed to the first mobile device in a non-permanent manner. In some embodiments, the first mobile device is covered by a protective structure 70 such as a protective case, a decorative case, etc., and the protective structure 70 has a mechanism (such as magnetism) that can be fixed to the coupling portion 10. The first mobile device can be indirectly fixed to the coupling portion 10 by the protective structure 70. In other embodiments, the first mobile device itself has a mechanism (such as magnetism) that can be fixed to the coupling portion 10, and the first mobile device can be directly fixed to the coupling portion 10.
[0059] One end of the second support portion 30 is fixed to one end of the first support portion 20. The other end of the second support portion 30, opposite to the fixed end of the first support portion 20, is a free end 31. The second support portion 30 is provided with a first bending portion 32, by which the free end 31 of the second support portion 30 can be bent relative to the first support portion 20. One end of the first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 are connected to one end of the coupling portion 10 via a first damping shaft 40. The coupling portion 10 can be bent relative to the first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 via the first damping shaft 40. The first damping shaft 40 is characterized in that the user must apply a torque greater than a first critical torque to the first damping shaft 40, using the first support portion 20 and the coupling portion 10 as a lever arm, to overcome a resistance of the first damping shaft 40 and cause it to rotate. The first support portion 20 and the coupling portion 10 are pivoted around the first damping shaft 40. The first support portion 20 and the coupling portion 10 can be rotated relative to each other via the first damping shaft 40, forming a first angle θ between the first support portion 20 and the coupling portion 10 (as shown in FIG2 ). Furthermore, to allow users to freely adjust the viewing angle of the first mobile device without any restrictions, the first critical torque of the first damping shaft 40 is specifically adjusted so that, when the first mobile device and the coupling portion 10 are directly or indirectly fixed to each other, the torque exerted by the gravity of the first mobile device on the first damping shaft 40 is less than the first critical torque, regardless of the angle. In other words, the first critical torque is greater than the torque exerted on the first damping shaft 40 when the first mobile device and the coupling portion 10 are directly or indirectly fixed to each other. Consequently, the first damping shaft 40 does not rotate at any angle, allowing users to bend the coupling portion 10 at various angles, thereby increasing the variability of viewing angles for the first mobile device (as shown in FIG2 ).
[0060] Referring to Figures 1, 2, 5, and 6, the mobile device stand further includes a connecting portion 50, which connects the free end 31 of the second support portion 30 and the first support portion 20 via a plurality of bending portions 3. The connecting portion 50 includes a first sub-connecting portion 51 and a second sub-connecting portion 52. One end of the first sub-connecting portion 51 is connected to the free end 31 of the second support portion 30, and the other end of the first sub-connecting portion 51 is connected to the second sub-connecting portion 52. One end of the second sub-connecting portion 52 is connected to the first support portion 20. In some embodiments, the second sub-connecting portion 52 further includes additional bending portions 3, which allow the second sub-connecting portion 52 to bend relative to the first sub-connecting portion 51 or fold inward.
[0061] The user can bend the first sub-connection part 51, the second sub-connection part 52, the first support part 20, the second support part 30 and the coupling part 10 to form a support state, as shown in Figures 3 to 5 (which schematically show folding to the support state in sequence, Figure 5 is one of the support states), and a storage state, as shown in Figure 7C (Figures 7A to 7C show folding to the storage state in sequence). In a support state, the second sub-connection part 52 is folded in half. In this support state, the second sub-connection part 52 can be maintained in the folded state by a non-permanent fixing method, such as magnetism. In addition, as can be seen from Figure 5, the first support part 20 and the second support part 30 of the present application are A-shaped when viewed from the side, while the coupling part 10 can be bent at any angle. The mobile device stand as a whole uses the first support part 20 and the second support part 30 as support legs, and the coupling part 10 provides various angles for the user to view the first mobile device. After use, the user can bend this state to the storage state. In the stowed state, one end of the first sub-connecting portion 51 is in contact with the second support portion 30, and the first support portion 20 is in contact with the second support portion 30, as shown in Figures 7B and 7C. For example, in the stowed state, one end of the first sub-connecting portion 51 is in contact with the second support portion 30 by magnetism, and the first support portion 20 is in contact with the second support portion 30 by a non-permanent fixing method (e.g., magnetism). In some embodiments, the coupling portion 10 of the present application is indirectly fixed to the first mobile device in a non-permanent fixing method by engaging the protective structure 70 of the first mobile device, as shown in Figure 9.
[0062] For example, the protective structure 70 can be a mobile phone case or back cover with a non-permanent fastening mechanism, as shown in FIG8 . Alternatively, in some embodiments, the coupling portion 10 can be directly secured to the first mobile device in a non-permanent manner without any other intermediary. For example, the first mobile device and the coupling portion 10 can each be magnetically coupled to each other.
[0063] Referring also to Figures 10 and 11 , in another support state, the user can also adjust the angle of the coupling portion 10 relative to the first support portion 20 or the second support portion 30 without unfolding the first support portion 20, the second support portion 30, and the connecting portion 50 to achieve the support state shown in the figure. In this support state, the first support portion 20 and the coupling portion 10 form a second angle a, and the first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 are in contact with each other. The first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 are placed on the same plane. Thus, the versatility of this application allows for user convenience.
[0064] 4B , 7C , and 9 , in some embodiments, a first receiving cavity 61 is provided on the sidewall of the second supporting portion 30 to receive the first sub-connecting portion 51 , and the shape of the first receiving cavity 61 matches that of the first sub-connecting portion 51 . A second receiving cavity 62 is provided on the sidewall of the first supporting portion 20 to receive the second sub-connecting portion 52 , and the shape of the second receiving cavity 62 matches that of the second sub-connecting portion 52 . Because the first sub-connecting portion 51 and the second sub-connecting portion 52 both have a certain volume, in the stored state (e.g., FIG. 7C ), the first sub-connecting portion 51 can be received in the first receiving cavity 61 , thereby reducing the overall thickness of the first sub-connecting portion 51 and the second supporting portion 30 when attached together. The second sub-connecting portion 52 can be received in the second receiving cavity 62 , thereby reducing the overall thickness of the second sub-connecting portion 52 and the first supporting portion 20 when attached together. As a result, when the mobile device stand is in the stored state, neither the first sub-connecting portion 51 nor the second sub-connecting portion 52 increases the overall thickness of the mobile device stand.
[0065] In some embodiments, the first receiving cavity 61 is a receiving hole that passes through the entire second support portion 30, i.e., the second support portion 30 exposes the first sub-connecting portion 51. In some embodiments, the first receiving cavity 61 is a receiving slot located on the side of the second support portion 30 near the first sub-connecting portion 51. The receiving slot can be understood as a blind hole that does not pass through the second support portion 30. When the first sub-connecting portion 51 is received in the first receiving cavity 61, it cannot be seen when viewed from the other side of the second support portion 30 away from the first sub-connecting portion 51. This approach can enhance the aesthetics of the mobile device stand while also protecting the first sub-connecting portion 51. Like the first receiving cavity 61, the second receiving cavity 62 can also be a receiving hole or a receiving slot.
[0066] In some embodiments, the first receiving cavity 61 and the second receiving cavity 62 are both receiving holes; in some embodiments, the first receiving cavity 61 and the second receiving cavity 62 are both receiving grooves; or in some embodiments, one of the first receiving cavity 61 and the second receiving cavity 62 is a receiving hole and the other is a receiving groove.
[0067] Referring to Figures 12 to 14 , in this embodiment, the first receiving cavity 61 is a receiving slot, and the second receiving cavity 62 is a receiving hole. The second sub-connection portion 52 further includes a plurality of bending portions 3, a second sub-connection portion head portion 521, and a second sub-connection portion tail portion 522. One end of the second sub-connection portion head portion 521 is connected to the first support portion 20 via a bending portion 3, and the second sub-connection portion head portion 521 can be bent relative to the first support portion 20 by the bending portion 3. The other end of the second sub-connection portion head portion 521 is connected to one end of the second sub-connection portion tail portion 522 via a bending portion 3, and the second sub-connection portion head portion 521 can be folded relative to the second sub-connection portion tail portion 522 by the bending portion 3. The other end of the second sub-connection portion tail portion 522 is connected to the first sub-connection portion 51.
[0068] The contents of this embodiment that are the same as or referable to the other embodiments above will not be repeated here.
[0069] Referring to Figures 15 and 16 , in this embodiment, the mobile device stand does not have the connecting portion 50 . The second support portion 30 further includes a second damping shaft 80 disposed on the first bending portion 32 . The second damping shaft 80 allows the second support portion 30 to be folded relative to the first support portion 20 .
[0070] The first bending portion 32 further includes a plurality of bending portions 3 disposed coaxially with the second damping shaft 80, for example, on one or both sides of the second damping shaft 80. The free end 31 of the second support portion 30 can be bent relative to the first support portion 20 via the first bending portion 32. A characteristic of the second damping shaft 80 is that a user must use the second support portion 30 as a lever arm to apply a torque greater than a second critical torque to the second damping shaft 80 to overcome a resistance of the second damping shaft 80 and cause it to rotate. The second support portion 30 uses the second damping shaft 80 as a fulcrum, and the first and second support portions 20, 30 can bend relative to each other via the first damping shaft 40, forming a third angle β between the first and second support portions 20, 30 (as shown in FIG. 16 ). Furthermore, this allows the user to freely adjust the third angle β between the first and second support portions 20, 30 without any limitations.
[0071] The contents of this embodiment that are the same as or referable to the other embodiments mentioned above will not be repeated here.
[0072] 17 and 18 , in this embodiment, the mobile device stand further includes a coupling portion 90 connecting the first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 , wherein the coupling portion 90 and the coupling portion 10 are directly or indirectly fixed to each other in a permanent manner; the coupling portion 90 can be folded relative to the first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 via the second bending portion 33; and the first damping shaft 40 is disposed on the second bending portion 33.
[0073] The coupling portion 90 is foldable relative to the first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 via the first damping shaft 40. The second bending portion 33 further includes a plurality of bending portions 3 disposed coaxially with the first damping shaft 40. The bending portions 3 can be disposed on one or both sides of the first damping shaft 40. The coupling portion 90 is also foldable relative to the first support portion 20 and the second support portion 30 via the plurality of bending portions 3. The coupling portion 90 allows the user to freely adjust the viewing angle of the first mobile device without any restrictions. The first damping shaft 40 does not rotate at any angle, allowing the user to bend the coupling portion 10 at various angles, thereby increasing the variability of the viewing angle when viewing the first mobile device.
[0074] 19 and 20 , in this embodiment, the first sub-connecting portion 51 further includes a bending portion 3, and the first sub-connecting portion 51 can be bent relative to the second sub-connecting portion 52 via the bending portion 3. In a supporting state, such as shown in FIG. 20 , the first sub-connecting portion 51 is folded in half. In this embodiment, the first sub-connection part 51 further includes a plurality of bending parts 3, a first sub-connection part head 511, and a first sub-connection part tail 512; wherein, one end of the first sub-connection part head 511 is connected to the second support part 30 through a bending part 3, and the first sub-connection part head 511 can be bent relative to the second support part 30 by the bending part 3; the other end of the first sub-connection part head 511 is connected to one end of the first sub-connection part tail 512 through a bending part 3, and the first sub-connection part head 511 can be folded relative to the first sub-connection part tail 512 by the bending part 3; the other end of the first sub-connection part tail 522 is connected to the second sub-connection part 52.
[0075] The contents of this embodiment that are the same as or referable to the other embodiments mentioned above will not be repeated here.
[0076] Please refer to Figure 21. In this embodiment, the first storage cavity and the second storage cavity 62 are both storage grooves. The first sub-connection part 51 is correspondingly received in the first storage cavity, and the second sub-connection part 52 is correspondingly received in the second storage cavity 62, which has better protection. The outer surfaces of the first support part 20 and the second support part 30 of the mobile device stand are both flat, and the overall appearance is more beautiful.
[0077] The contents of this embodiment that are the same as or referable to the other embodiments mentioned above will not be repeated here.

[0085] Referring to Figures 24-29, in some embodiments, a mobile device stand includes two damping shafts, significantly increasing the customization and flexibility of the support angle. The mobile device stand primarily includes a first support portion 10, a second support portion 20, and a coupling portion 30. The coupling portion 30 can be directly or indirectly secured to the first mobile device in a non-permanent manner. One end of the second support portion 20 is secured to one end of the first support portion 10. The second support portion 20 is free relative to its other end secured to the first support portion 10. The second support portion 20 is provided with a first bending portion 32, which allows the free end of the second support portion 20 to bend relative to the first support portion 10. One end of each of the first and second support portions 10, 20 is connected to one end of the coupling portion 30 via a first damping shaft 40. The coupling portion 30 can be folded relative to the first and second support portions 10, 20, respectively, via the first damping shaft 40. The second support portion 20 further includes a second damping shaft 80 . The second damping shaft 80 is disposed on the first bending portion 32 . The second support portion 20 can be folded relative to the first support portion 10 via the second damping shaft 80 .
[0086] As previously described, the mobile device stand of this embodiment includes a first damping shaft 40 and a second damping shaft 80. A user needs to apply a force greater than a first critical torque to the first damping shaft 40 to overcome its resistance and rotate it. The first support portion 10 and the coupling portion 30 are pivoted relative to each other using the first damping shaft 40 as a fulcrum, forming a first angle θ between the first support portion 10 and the coupling portion 30. Similarly, a user needs to apply a force greater than a second critical torque to the second damping shaft 80 to overcome its resistance and rotate it. The second support portion 20 is pivoted relative to the first support portion 10 using the second damping shaft 80 as a fulcrum. After this folding, the first support portion 10 and the second support portion 20 form a third angle β. The user can adjust the first angle θ and the third angle β by adjusting the first damping shaft 40 and the second damping shaft 80 to produce different support angles. The mobile device stand of this embodiment has three main usage states. The various usage states will be described below with reference to the accompanying diagrams.
[0087] In the retracted state, the coupling portion 30 and the first support portion 10 are in contact with each other, and the second support portion 20 is in contact with the first support portion 10. As shown in Figures 26 to 28, in the first support state, the first support portion 10 and the second support portion 20 form a third angle β, and one side of the first support portion 10 and the second support portion 20 abuts a flat surface (e.g., a desktop), while the first mobile device is non-permanently fixed to the coupling portion 30. As shown in Figure 29, in the second support state, the first support portion 10 and the second support portion 20 are in contact with each other, and one side of the first support portion 10 and the second support portion 20 is placed on a flat surface, and the first support portion 10 and the coupling portion 30 form a first angle θ. Referring again to Figures 30 to 32, in the third support state, the user can connect the two mobile devices using the mobile device stand. To allow users to view the screens of two different mobile devices side by side, the present application may further include a connector 100 that can be secured to a side of the second mobile device either partially or permanently. The first support portion 10 and the second support portion 20 are affixed to each other, with one side of the first support portion 10 or the second support portion 20 being partially secured to the connector 100 secured to the second mobile device, while the first mobile device is also partially secured to the coupling portion 30.
[0088] However, the above is only a preferred embodiment of the present invention and is not intended to limit the scope of implementation of the present invention. Therefore, equivalent changes and modifications made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention should all be included in the patent scope of the present invention.
