Description

[0001] Electrical contacting device, method for assembling the electrical contacting device, method for assembling a component and establishing an electrical contact between the component and the electrical contacting device and electrical drive device

[0002] The invention relates to an electrical contacting device, a method for assembling the electrical contacting device, a method for assembling a component and producing an electrical contact between the component and the electrical contacting device and an electrical drive device which has at least one electrical contacting device.

[0003] In electrical systems and therefore also in electric motor-driven vehicles, undesirable leakage currents can occur depending on the applied voltages and existing insulation.

[0004] To prevent these leakage currents and thus unwanted short circuits, grounding can be installed on electrical systems. Such grounding requires electrical contact between live components and a grounded component, such as a housing or frame. In electrical rotating machines, various components can be exposed to leakage currents, such as the rotor and, consequently, the rotor shaft supporting the rotor. For the purpose of grounding components and rotor shafts, so-called grounding pins can be used, which are arranged radially to the shaft. However, this requires that the shaft can be easily mounted along its longitudinal direction.

[0005] A further requirement is that the grounding pin provides permanent electrical contact to the shaft.

[0006] To meet these requirements, grounding pins with transport locks can be used. These allow sufficient clearance for shaft installation and establish electrical contact with the shaft once the transport lock is triggered. If a grounding pin without a transport lock is used instead, there is a risk that the grounding pin could be sheared off during shaft installation.

[0007] However, the disadvantage of earthing pins with transport lock is that the transport lock can only be triggered with increased effort after the shaft has been installed due to the reduced accessibility of the earthing pin.

[0008] Based on this, the present invention is based on the object of providing an electrical contacting device, a method for assembling an electrical contacting device, a method for assembling a component and establishing an electrical contact between the component and the electrical contacting device, as well as an electrical drive device, which ensure the establishment of an electrical contact on a component to be assembled in a simple and cost-effective manner.

[0009] This object is achieved by the electrical contacting device according to claim 1, by the method for assembling an electrical contacting device according to claim 7, by the method for assembling a component and producing an electrical contact between the component and an electrical contacting device according to claim 8 and the electrical drive device according to claim 10. Advantageous embodiments of the electrical contacting device are specified in subclaims 2 to 6. An advantageous embodiment of the method for assembling a component and producing an electrical contact between the component and an electrical contacting device is specified in subclaim 9.

[0010] The features of the claims can be combined in any technically reasonable manner, whereby the explanations from the following description as well as features from the figures can also be used to comprise additional embodiments of the invention.

[0011] The invention relates to an electrical contacting device which comprises a contacting unit for realizing an electrical contact on a component, a guide device for guiding the contacting unit along a translational degree of freedom and along a rotational degree of freedom, and a securing device for fixing the translational degree of freedom of the contacting unit in an initial position and for releasing the translational degree of freedom of the contacting unit from the initial position. The safety device comprises a spring unit with which the contacting unit in the starting position can be or is subjected to a spring force along the translational degree of freedom and can be or is subjected to a spring torque along the rotational degree of freedom about a longitudinal axis of the contacting unit running parallel to the axis of the translational degree of freedom, so that when a force acts on the contacting unit, the contacting unit can be moved out of the starting position against the spring force and by the spring torque and can be moved in the translational degree of freedom.

[0012] In this way, the contact unit is capable of automatically applying itself to a component for the purpose of establishing electrical contact after moving from its initial position. The external force acting on the contact unit, counter to the spring force, can be exerted by the component to be contacted. The external component on which electrical contact is to be established can be, for example, a shaft of a gear unit or an electric drive unit. The guide device implements two guideways: one along the translational degree of freedom and one around the axis of the translational degree of freedom in the rotational degree of freedom.

[0013] The spring unit acts on an end area axially opposite the contact end of the contact unit, and from there in the direction of the contact end.

[0014] The safety device can have a slotted guide and a guided element which can be guided by the slotted guide along its slotted guide track, wherein one of the two elements, slotted guide and guided element, is arranged on or in the guide device, and the other of the two elements, slotted guide and guided element, is arranged on or in the contacting unit. The link guide track comprises a first longitudinal section for receiving the guided element in the starting position and for guiding the guided element along the translational degree of freedom, a connecting section adjoining the first longitudinal section for guiding the guided element along the rotational degree of freedom, and a second longitudinal section for guiding the guided element along the translational degree of freedom, so that when the guided element is arranged in the first longitudinal section and a force from a component acts, the contacting unit is displaceable along the direction of the first longitudinal section against the spring force applied by the spring unit, when the connecting section is reached is rotatable along the direction of the connecting section due to the spring torque applied by the spring unit, and when the second longitudinal section is reached is displaceable along its direction.

[0015] The link guideway can be designed in the form of several guide grooves or guide slots running at an angle to each other.

[0016] The first longitudinal section and the second longitudinal section each extend with at least one component of their respective direction of extension along the translational degree of freedom enabled by the guideway.

[0017] The connecting section runs with at least one component of its extension direction along the rotational degree of freedom enabled by the guideway.

[0018] The electrical contact unit can also be referred to as a grounding pin and is essentially pin-shaped. The guideway, or translational degree of freedom, runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pin.

[0019] The two longitudinal sections are formed on both sides of the connecting section along the same translational degree of freedom. This creates a so-called backing.

[0020] A compression spring can be used as the spring unit, which extends the contact unit and guides it when closed. This spring unit is preloaded during assembly and provides the axial force to extend the contact unit after assembly and permanently apply it to a component for electrical contact. In addition to this axial force, the spring unit generates a torque to rotate the contact unit from its initial position, which can also be referred to as the transport locking area, into the second longitudinal section, which enables translational movement along the longitudinal axis of the contact unit. The spring unit can be supported axially and torsionally on the one hand on the contacting unit and on the other hand on the guide device or on a component fixed to the guide device, both along the translational degree of freedom and along the rotational degree of freedom.

[0021] If at least some of the contacting unit and the guide device are designed as sheet metal parts, support elements can be created by embossing or through-holes on which the spring unit can rest.

[0022] The spring unit can have a relatively low spring constant of < 0.1 N / mm.

[0023] The slotted guide can be arranged on or in the guide device, and the guided element can be arranged on the contacting unit. As a result, when an external force acts on the contacting unit, the contacting unit or the guided element arranged there can be displaced along the first translational degree of freedom against the spring force applied by the spring unit, out of the first longitudinal section and into the connecting section, and there the contacting unit or the guided element can be moved into the second longitudinal section due to the spring torque applied by the spring unit, so that it can be moved in the second longitudinal section along the translational degree of freedom with spring support. The guided element can also be referred to as a holding contour, which is projected out, for example, as a tab from a sheet metal area.

[0024] Furthermore, the contacting unit can comprise a contacting end configured to realize an electrical contact on an external component, and the starting position in the first longitudinal section and the second longitudinal section can have a smaller distance from the contacting end than the connecting section.

[0025] This results in a roughly U-shaped guide for the slide.

[0026] The contacting unit can comprise a pin-shaped contact element, which forms the contact end, and a sleeve in which the pin-shaped contact element is fixed. The sleeve can be a sheet metal part, such as made of stainless steel. The contact element can consist essentially of graphite, which is pressed into the sleeve. The guide rail can be implemented in the sleeve.

[0027] The sleeve and consequently also the contact element can be guided on the aforementioned guideways by means of the guide device.

[0028] The spring device can be supported on the one hand by the sleeve and / or the contact element, and on the other hand by the guide device or a base plate encompassed thereby. For this purpose, the sleeve can have a first support element, and the guide device or a base plate encompassed by the guide device can have a second support element, on which the spring unit can be supported at least along the rotational degree of freedom.

[0029] The second longitudinal section can be open at its end facing away from the connecting section. The longitudinal sections and also the connecting section of the guide rail can be slot-shaped, with the guided element being able to move in the slots in the form of a pin.

[0030] The open side of the second longitudinal section is used to thread the guided element into the second longitudinal section during assembly.

[0031] Furthermore, the contacting unit can have a contact end with a spherical segment shape configured to form an electrical contact. The spherical segment shape ensures that the contacting unit is in contact with an external component along the longitudinal axis of the contacting unit, around which the contacting unit can be moved along the translational degree of freedom. Accordingly, the spherical segment shape facilitates a rotational movement of the contacting unit along the rotational degree of freedom.

[0032] A further aspect of the present invention is a method for assembling a described electrical contacting device, in which a contacting unit for implementing an electrical contact on a component, a guide device for guiding the contacting unit along a translational degree of freedom and along a rotational degree of freedom, and a securing device for fixing the translational degree of freedom of the contacting unit in an initial position and for releasing the translational degree of freedom of the contacting unit from the initial position are provided. It is provided that the securing device comprises a spring unit. The contacting unit is moved by the guide device under tension of the spring unit along the translational degree of freedom and along the rotational degree of freedom and is moved into the starting position, so that in the starting position of the contacting unit, a spring force along the translational degree of freedom and a spring torque along the rotational degree of freedom act on the contacting unit about a longitudinal axis of the contacting unit running parallel to the axis of the translational degree of freedom.

[0033] The securing device can have a slotted guide and a guided element which can be guided by the slotted guide along its slotted guide track, for example in a guide groove, and one of the two elements, slotted guide and guided element, can be arranged on or in the guide device, and the other of the two elements, slotted guide and guided element, can be arranged on or in the contacting unit.

[0034] Furthermore, the link guideway can have a first longitudinal section for receiving the guided element in the starting position and for guiding the guided element along the translational degree of freedom, a connecting section adjoining the first longitudinal section for guiding the guided element along the rotary degree of freedom, and a second longitudinal section for guiding the guided element along the translational degree of freedom.

[0035] The guided element can be inserted into the second longitudinal section along its direction against the spring force. Upon reaching the connecting section, it can be rotated along the direction of the connecting section against the spring torque applied by the spring unit. Upon reaching the first longitudinal section, it can be displaced along its direction due to the spring force applied by the spring unit and can be fixed in the starting position in an end region of the first longitudinal section by means of the spring force.According to the invention, a method for assembling a component and establishing electrical contact between the component and a described electrical contacting device is also provided, in which the electrical contacting device is fixed to a support unit and a relative movement is carried out between the component and the electrical contacting device such that the component applies a force with at least one component to the contacting unit, which force runs along the translational degree of freedom guided by the guide direction. Accordingly, the contacting unit is displaced along the translational degree of freedom counter to the spring force applied by the spring unit and is moved out of the starting position by the spring torque and moved in the translational degree of freedom.

[0036] The support unit can be, for example, a frame or a housing.

[0037] The relative movement can be a movement for positioning the component in relation to the contacting device.

[0038] The spring unit acts on an end area axially opposite the contact end of the contact unit, and from there in the direction of the contact end.

[0039] The method can be carried out accordingly in such a way that the contacting unit is displaced from the starting position along the direction of the first longitudinal section against the spring force applied by the spring unit, is rotated along the direction of the connecting section upon reaching the connecting section due to the spring torque applied by the spring unit, and can be displaced along the direction of the second longitudinal section upon reaching the second longitudinal section.

[0040] In other words, a force can be applied from the component to the contacting unit, so that when the slotted guide is arranged on or in the guide device and the guided element is arranged on or in the contacting unit, the contacting unit or the guided element is displaced along the first translational degree of freedom against the spring force applied by the spring unit, out of the first longitudinal section and into the connecting section, and there the contacting unit or the guided element is moved into the second longitudinal section due to the spring torque applied by the spring unit, and the contacting unit is resiliently supported and movable in the second longitudinal section along the translational degree of freedom. The spring unit continues to apply spring force to the contact unit, so that the contact unit is permanently pressed against the component and permanently creates electrical contact there, even if there are relative movements between the component and the support unit.

[0041] If the component is designed as a shaft, the contact unit can be aligned perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shaft.

[0042] The contacting device accordingly forms a transport lock for the contacting unit, which can be triggered during assembly and by the assembly of the component, so that an electrically conductive contact is automatically created between the contacting unit and the component.

[0043] The contacting device thus enables easy assembly of the component and, furthermore, secure electrical contact of the component through the contacting unit.

[0044] The method for assembling a component can be implemented in such a way that the component has a section with a truncated cone shape and the relative movement between the component and the electrical contacting device is carried out with at least one component of the relative movement perpendicular to the translational degree of freedom, wherein the truncated cone shape comes into contact with the contacting unit and thereby causes a force with at least one component along the translational degree of freedom on the contacting unit.

[0045] The truncated cone shape acts accordingly as an inclined plane that moves the contacting unit out of the starting position against the spring force, so that it can rotate in the manner described and then move along the translational degree of freedom in order to form a permanent electrically conductive contact on the component, subjected to the spring force.

[0046] The angle of the truncated cone shape can be up to 30° in relation to the longitudinal axis of the contacting unit. A smaller diameter of the shaft equipped with the truncated cone shape can be so small that when the shaft is brought closer to the contacting device, the contacting unit is not contacted by the smaller shaft shoulder. However, when the truncated cone shape reaches the contacting unit, a force is exerted on the contacting unit by the truncated cone shape due to the principle of the inclined plane in the manner described, and the contacting unit is moved from its starting position against the spring force. If the shaft is moved further, a shoulder with a diameter corresponding to the larger diameter of the truncated cone shape can come into contact with the contacting unit or its contacting end. In this state, the contacting unit is permanently pressed against the larger shaft shoulder by the spring force.

[0047] The invention also provides an electric drive device comprising at least one described electrical contacting device. The electric drive device can be, for example, an electric rotary machine or a so-called electric axle, which combines an electric rotary machine, a transmission, and power electronics.

[0048] The invention described above will be explained in detail below against the relevant technical background with reference to the accompanying drawings, which show preferred embodiments. The invention is in no way limited by the purely schematic drawings, and it should be noted that the embodiments shown in the drawings are not limited to the dimensions shown. It is shown in

[0054] Figure 6: the electrical contacting device in the assembled state together with a contacted component after a longer service life.

[0055] First, the general structure of the electrical contacting device 1 is explained using Figures 1 and 2.

[0056] As shown in Figure 1, the electrical contacting device 1 comprises a contacting unit 10, which in the embodiment shown here is formed by a pin-shaped contact element 15 and a sleeve 20 which partially surrounds and fixes the contact element 15. Furthermore, the electrical contacting device 1 comprises a spring unit 100, shown here in the form of a compression spring, and a guide device 30 in the form of a hollow cylinder with a base plate 31 arranged on the end face. The contacting unit 10 can be pushed into the guide device 30 along the longitudinal axis 11 of the contacting unit 10 against a force applied by the spring unit 100 and can thus be guided by the guide device 30 along a translational degree of freedom 40 and a rotational degree of freedom 41.

[0057] In the body of the guide device 30, a securing device 50 is formed by a slotted guide 60, which comprises a slotted guide track 70, which comprises a first longitudinal section 71, which runs parallel to the translational degree of freedom, a connecting section 73, which runs parallel to the rotational degree of freedom 41, and a second longitudinal section 72, which runs parallel to the translational degree of freedom 40. Thus, the connecting section 73 connects the first longitudinal section 71 to the second longitudinal section 72. A guided element 80 in the form of a projection is arranged on the sleeve 20 of the contacting unit 10.

[0058] Figure 2 shows the electrical contacting device 1 in an exploded view from a different perspective. It can be seen here that an end region 14 is formed on the front side of the sleeve 20 of the contacting unit 10, which serves to support the spring unit 100. A first support element 21 is also arranged here, against which the spring unit 100 is supported in the rotational direction. A second support element 32 is arranged on the base plate 31 of the guide device 30, against which the spring unit 100 is also supported in the rotational direction on the inside of the hollow cylinder formed by the guide device 30.

[0059] Figure 3 shows the electrical contacting unit 1 in a state arranged and mounted in a support unit 120, which can be a housing, for example.

[0060] It can be seen here that the guided element 80 is located in the first longitudinal section 71 of the slotted guide 60. The contacting unit is loaded by a spring force 101 generated by the spring unit, so that the guided element 80 rests against the end region of the first longitudinal section 71. This is the starting position 90 of the guided element 80. The contacting end 12 of the contacting unit 10 is unloaded. In addition, the spring unit applies a spring torque 102 to the contacting unit; however, the contacting unit does not rotate despite being loaded by the spring torque 102, since the guided element 80 is prevented from rotating by the first longitudinal section 71 of the slotted guide track 70.

[0061] Figure 4 shows the approach of a component 110 to be contacted in the form of a shaft equipped with a cone or truncated cone shape 112 along its direction of movement 113. As long as the contacting end 12 remains unloaded, the guided element 80 also remains in the starting position 90.

[0062] Figure 5 shows the assembled state of component 110. Component 110 has been moved so far along its direction of movement 113 that the contact end 12 has slid over the truncated cone shape 112 and now rests on a shoulder of component 110 or the shaft that is significantly larger than the smaller diameter of the shaft. As a result, a force 111 acts from component 110 on contact end 12.

[0063] The contacting unit 12 is configured with a spherical segment shape 13. Due to the action of the force 111 from the component 110 on the contacting unit 10, the latter has shifted along the translational degree of freedom 40 in the first longitudinal section 71 until the guided element 80 has reached the connecting section 73.

[0064] Due to the fact that, as explained with reference to Figure 3, the spring unit had applied a spring torque 102 to the contacting unit inside the contacting device, the contacting unit and consequently also the guided element 80 were rotated along the rotational degree of freedom 41, so that the guided element 80 reached the position shown in Figure 5 in the second longitudinal section 72 of the link guideway 70.

[0065] This rotation has been facilitated by the spherical segment shape 13 of the contact end 12.

[0066] In the position shown in Figure 5, the spring force 101 applied by the spring unit and explained with reference to Figure 3 continues to act toward component 110, so that contact end 12 is permanently pressed against component 110, establishing electrical contact there. Figure 6 shows a state of the contacting device after a longer service life, which resulted in the contact element 15 becoming partially worn and consequently shortened due to a relative movement between component 110 and electrical contacting device 1.

[0067] However, due to the spring force 101 still applied by the spring unit along the translational degree of freedom 40, the contacting end 12 of the contact element 15 continues to be pressed against the surface of the component 110. This does not result in the contacting end 12 detaching from the component 110, since the guided element 80 can move in the second longitudinal section 72 of the link guide track 70 and thus along the longitudinal axis 11 of the contacting unit, thus tracking the contacting unit 10.

[0068] The electrical contacting device proposed here, the method for assembling an electrical contacting device, the method for assembling a component and establishing an electrical contact between the component and the electrical contacting device, as well as the electrical drive device, provide technical solutions that ensure the establishment of an electrical contact on a component to be assembled in a simple and cost-effective manner.
