Abstract
Description
Method and device for providing payment information for an item
[0001] Embodiments of the present specification relate to a method and device for providing payment information for an item.
[0002] As internet use becomes more widespread, the e-commerce market is expanding. Particularly in response to the spread of infectious diseases, the proportion of people visiting offline stores to purchase products is decreasing. Meanwhile, the proportion of people purchasing products through e-commerce using computers or smartphones or ordering food through food delivery services is rapidly increasing.
[0003] Furthermore, thanks to the advancement of global internet networks and transportation methods such as large aircraft and ships, users can now purchase goods directly from overseas as well as domestically through e-commerce services. This is known as direct overseas purchase. Users can separately enter the necessary information for direct overseas purchases (e.g., passport number, resident registration number, and personal customs clearance code) on e-commerce websites or applications and pay the customs duties required for customs clearance (i.e., the process of inspecting goods purchased directly overseas upon arrival at customs).
[0004] Aside from entering these additional information and paying additional fees, the overseas direct purchase process is identical to that of purchasing general domestic products. Through the overseas direct purchase service, users can conveniently purchase a wide range of products from around the world, just as if they were purchasing domestic products. E-commerce service providers need to efficiently develop user interfaces (UIs) for overseas direct purchases to lower the barrier to entry and enhance user accessibility.
[0005] Meanwhile, due to legal restrictions in some countries, direct overseas purchase items sold in different countries cannot be processed simultaneously. Instead, separate payment processes must be used for each country. For example, in Taiwan, even if Item A (Taiwanese product), Item B (Korean direct purchase item), and Item C (US direct purchase item) are included in a single virtual shopping cart, legal restrictions prevent all three items from being processed simultaneously. Instead, three separate payments must be made, one for each country. Unlike the typical case where multiple items in a virtual shopping cart are processed simultaneously, this requires multiple payment processes. This can lead to user confusion and the potential for inadvertently missing payments, negatively impacting the user experience.
[0006] Therefore, when a service provider receives a payment request for multiple items from a user, a method is required to determine whether multiple payment procedures are required for the multiple items, and, if multiple payment procedures are required, to effectively provide the user with information related to the multiple payment procedures.
[0007] Related prior art literature includes Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2521785.
[0008] The present disclosure is proposed to solve the above-described problem, and aims to increase the convenience of payment for users by effectively providing information related to multiple payment procedures when multiple payment procedures are required for multiple items.
[0009] The technical problems to be achieved in the present invention are not limited to the technical problems mentioned above, and other technical problems not mentioned can be clearly understood by a person having ordinary skill in the technical field to which the present invention belongs from the description below.
[0010] In order to achieve the above-described object, a method for providing payment information for an item according to one embodiment of the present disclosure is characterized by including: a step of identifying an item set including a plurality of items based on selection information acquired from a user terminal; a step of identifying an item subset from the item set based on an item characteristic of each of the plurality of items; a step of providing a first page including an item subset list from which one item subset from among the two or more item subsets can be selected when there are two or more item subsets; and a step of providing a second page for payment of the identified first item subset based on an input for the item subset list acquired from the user terminal.
[0011] In one embodiment, the item subset is identified based on an item characteristic including country of sale information of a plurality of items, and a page is provided for payment of another item subset selected from the item subset list after payment of the first item subset.
[0012] In one embodiment, the first page includes a list of items included in a subset of items, the list of items being displayed in response to a selection of an item subset from among the list of subsets of items.
[0013] According to one embodiment, selection information is obtained through a page associated with a virtual shopping cart provided to a user terminal, a list of items is displayed in the order in which the plurality of items are contained in the virtual shopping cart, and the list of items is characterized in that it is horizontally scrollable on a first page.
[0014] In one embodiment, the item properties include seller information of the item, and the list of items is displayed grouped into a plurality of subgroups based on the seller information.
[0015] In one embodiment, items included only in the first item subset are characterized in that they are displayed in a different format from other items on the list of items included in the first item subset.
[0016] According to one embodiment, a method of providing payment information for an item further comprises the step of receiving a selection input for a list of items, wherein in response to the selection input for the list of items, the first page is characterized in that it displays payment amount information for the selected item.
[0017] In one embodiment, the first page is characterized by including at least one of payment amount information, coupon discount information, and shipping information for each of two or more item subsets.
[0018] According to one embodiment, a method for providing payment information for an item further includes the steps of: identifying a second item subset among two or more item subsets for which payment has not yet been completed; and, if the second item subset is identified, providing a third page including a first area including payment completion information for the first item subset and a first object associated with payment for the second item subset, wherein the first area includes information about the second item subset.
[0019] According to one embodiment, a method for providing payment information for an item further comprises the steps of: receiving a selection input corresponding to a first object; and, in response to the selection input corresponding to the first object, providing a page associated with a virtual shopping cart.
[0020] According to one embodiment, a method for providing payment information for an item further comprises the steps of: receiving a selection input corresponding to a first object; and, in response to the selection input corresponding to the first object, providing an updated first page, wherein the updated first page includes information indicating completion of payment for a first subset of items.
[0021] In one embodiment, the step of providing a first page includes: verifying user information for payment of a first item subset from a database; determining whether payment of the first item subset can be completed without the user inputting additional information based on the user information; and providing a first page based on the determination, wherein if it is determined that payment of the first item subset can be completed without the user inputting additional information, the first page includes a second object associated with payment of the first item subset, and payment of the first item subset is completed without providing a second page based on a user input corresponding to the second object.
[0022] In one embodiment, the first page includes a second object for payment of a subset of items selected from a list of subsets of items, wherein payment of the selected subset of items is performed according to a user input corresponding to the second object, and the subset of items for which payment has been completed is removed from the list of subsets of items, and the first page includes a list of subsets of items for which payment has not yet been performed.
[0023] According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, by providing a first page (e.g., page (400) of FIG. 4A) containing information on a plurality of item subsets requiring multiple payment procedures, a user can check information on a plurality of categories for which payment cannot be made through a single payment process and sequentially perform payment procedures for a plurality of item subsets corresponding to each of the plurality of categories without omission. Compared to existing methods that simply sequentially provide payment pages for each category without providing a first page, providing a first page can increase the convenience of payment for each of the plurality of item subsets, and ultimately enhance the user experience with overseas direct purchases.
[0024] In addition, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the electronic device can display an object associated with payment of a second subset of items, for which payment has not yet been completed, on a payment completion page of a first subset of items, thereby preventing a user from making a mistake of ending shopping without completing payment of some subsets of items, and improving the convenience of payment for the user while also improving the user experience.
[0025] The effects that can be obtained from the present invention are not limited to the effects mentioned above, and other effects not mentioned can be clearly understood by a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention belongs from the description below.

[0040] At this time, it will be understood that each block of the processing flow diagrams and combinations of the flow diagrams can be performed by computer program instructions. These computer program instructions can be installed in a processor of a general-purpose computer, a special-purpose computer, or other programmable data processing equipment, so that the instructions executed by the processor of the computer or other programmable data processing equipment create a means for performing the functions described in the flow diagram block(s). These computer program instructions can also be stored in a computer-available or computer-readable memory that can direct a computer or other programmable data processing equipment to implement the functions in a specific manner, so that the instructions stored in the computer-available or computer-readable memory can also produce a manufactured item that includes an instruction means for performing the functions described in the flow diagram block(s). Since the computer program instructions may be installed on a computer or other programmable data processing device, a series of operational steps may be performed on the computer or other programmable data processing device to create a computer-executable process, and the instructions that cause the computer or other programmable data processing device to perform the steps for performing the functions described in the flowchart block(s) may also provide steps for performing the functions described in the flowchart block(s).
[0041] Additionally, each block may represent a module, segment, or portion of code that contains one or more executable instructions for performing a specific logical function(s). It should also be noted that in some alternative implementation examples, the functions described in the blocks may occur out of order. For example, two blocks depicted in succession may actually be executed substantially concurrently, or the blocks may sometimes be executed in reverse order, depending on their respective functions.
[0042] Here, the term '~ unit' used in this embodiment means a software or hardware component such as an FPGA or ASIC, and the '~ unit' performs certain roles. However, the '~ unit' is not limited to software or hardware. The '~ unit' may be configured to be on an addressable storage medium and may be configured to regenerate one or more processors. Thus, as an example, the '~ unit' includes components such as software components, object-oriented software components, class components, and task components, processes, functions, attributes, procedures, subroutines, segments of program code, drivers, firmware, microcode, circuits, data, databases, data structures, tables, arrays, and variables. The functions provided within the components and '~ units' may be combined into a smaller number of components and '~ units' or further separated into additional components and '~ units'. In addition, the components and '~ units' may be implemented to regenerate one or more CPUs within a device or a secure multimedia card.
[0043] FIG. 1 is a diagram schematically illustrating the configuration of a payment information provision system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0044] Referring to FIG. 1, a payment information providing system according to one embodiment of the present disclosure may include a user terminal (110) and an electronic device (120).
[0045] In one embodiment, a user of an e-commerce or food delivery brokerage service can communicate with a service server that includes an electronic device (120) using a user terminal (110). The user terminal (110) has an application that provides an e-commerce or food delivery brokerage service installed, can access the electronic device (120) under the control of the application, and can use the e-commerce and food delivery brokerage service based on information exchange with the electronic device (120). The e-commerce or food delivery brokerage application may include a buyer application, a seller application, a delivery person application, etc., depending on who the user of the application is. That is, the user terminal (110) can be used by various users, including customers who purchase items through the service, sellers who sell items through the service, and delivery people who deliver purchased items from sellers to customers. The user terminal (110) may be a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet PC, or a static device such as a desktop PC, and any device that can install and execute an e-commerce or delivery brokerage service application can be used as the user terminal (110) without limitation.
[0046] In one embodiment, the electronic device (120) may communicate with the user terminal (110) and provide information related to an e-commerce or food delivery brokerage service to the user terminal (110). The electronic device (120) may be included within a service server that provides the e-commerce or food delivery brokerage service. The electronic device (120) may provide information on items, stores, or menus as search results from a database. Additionally, the electronic device (120) may provide information related to delivery and payment for items purchased by the customer through the service to at least one of the customer, the seller, and the delivery person.
[0047] In one embodiment, the electronic device (120) may identify an item set including a plurality of items based on selection information acquired from a user terminal, identify an item subset from the item set based on the item characteristics of each of the plurality of items, provide a first page including an item subset list from which one item subset from among the two or more item subsets can be selected when there are two or more item subsets, and provide a second page for payment of the first item subset identified based on an input for the item subset list acquired from the user terminal. A method for the electronic device (120) to provide payment information for an item will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 2A and 2B .
[0048] FIGS. 2A and 2B are sequence diagrams illustrating information exchange and corresponding operations among nodes related to a method for providing payment information according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. The user terminal and electronic device illustrated in FIGS. 2A and 2B may each include the user terminal (110) and electronic device (120) illustrated in FIG. 1 .
[0049] Referring first to FIG. 2A, in step 205, the electronic device may receive selection information from the user terminal. In one embodiment, the selection information may be information about multiple items selected by the user for purchase on an e-commerce application installed on the user terminal. In one embodiment, the user may place one or more items desired for purchase in a virtual shopping cart on the e-commerce application installed on the user terminal. After completing the search for items desired for purchase, the user may check the list of items included in the virtual shopping cart on a shopping cart page (e.g., page (300) of FIG. 3) for final ordering. The user may select items for payment from the list of items displayed on the shopping cart page for an actual order, and may select all items in the list or only some of the items in the list. For example, the user may select checkboxes corresponding to each item desired for purchase on the shopping cart page and click the "Purchase" button. In response to the user's click input, the user terminal may transmit selection information about the multiple items selected by the user to the electronic device.
[0050] In the above-described embodiment, selection information is transmitted for a plurality of items selected on the shopping cart page. However, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that the present invention is not limited thereto, and the user can select a plurality of items on any page associated with the e-commerce service, and the user terminal can transmit selection information for the plurality of selected items to the service server.
[0051] In step 210, the electronic device may identify a set of items including multiple items based on selection information. In one embodiment, the electronic device may identify a set of items including multiple items selected by the user from a virtual shopping cart on an e-commerce application installed on the user terminal.
[0052] In step 215, the electronic device may identify a subset of items from the set of items based on the item characteristics of each of the plurality of items. In one embodiment, the item characteristics may include information that is used as a criterion for classifying the set of items into multiple subsets of items, such as the item's category, seller, country of sale, sales price, availability of special shipping, whether a discount is applied, whether a repeat purchase is possible, and review ratings. In one embodiment, the electronic device may identify multiple subsets of items from the set of items based on the item characteristics when it is necessary to group and display items into subsets of items on a virtual shopping cart page. In one embodiment, the electronic device may group items that cannot be paid for simultaneously through a single payment process due to special circumstances, such as legal restrictions, into different subsets of items, and perform payment for each subset of items through a separate process.
[0053] In one embodiment, a subset of items may be identified based on item characteristics that include country of sale information for multiple items. In one embodiment, after payment for a subset of the first item, a page for payment for another subset of items selected from the list of subsets of items may be provided. That is, payment for each subset of items may be performed according to a separate process. The electronic device may classify items that cannot be paid for simultaneously through a single payment process into different subsets of items. For example, items that cannot be paid for simultaneously through a single payment process may be items sold in different countries and cannot be paid for simultaneously due to legal restrictions in those countries. The electronic device may design the payment process so that items sold in different countries are each classified into separate subsets and payment for each subset is performed according to a separate process.
[0054] In step 220, the electronic device may generate a first page (e.g., page (400) of FIG. 4A) including a list of item subsets from which one of the two or more item subsets may be selected, if there are two or more item subsets. The first page may include a list of multiple item subsets for which payment processes must be performed separately. For example, the list of item subsets may include three item subsets, each of which has three categories: Taiwanese domestic sales items, Korean direct purchase items, and US direct purchase items, which cannot be paid for simultaneously due to legal restrictions in Taiwan. The user may recognize through the first page that the item subsets included in the list on the first page must be paid for separately, and may be guided to select the first item subset for which payment is to be performed first and sequentially complete payment for the items included in each item subset. In one embodiment, the first page may include information about multiple item subsets for which separate payment processes are to be performed, including the items included in each item subset, payment amounts for each item subset, coupon discounts, and shipping information. The first page according to some embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to FIGS. 4A, 4B, 8A, 8B, and 9.
[0055] In step 225, the electronic device may transmit the first page to the user terminal. The user may check the first page through an e-commerce application installed on the user terminal.
[0056] In step 230, the electronic device may receive input from the user terminal regarding a subset of items. The user may review information regarding two or more subsets of items through a first page displayed on the user terminal and provide input to select the subset of items for which payment is to be made first. For example, the user may review a subset of items sold in multiple countries that cannot be paid for simultaneously displayed on the first page and select a subset of items for direct purchase in Korea to be paid for first. The user terminal may transmit the selection input received from the user to the electronic device.
[0057] In step 235, the electronic device may generate a second page for payment of the first subset of items identified based on the input for the item subset. For example, if the user selects a subset of Korean direct purchase items on the first page, the electronic device may identify the subset of Korean direct purchase items as the first subset of items and generate a second page (e.g., page (500) of FIG. 5 ) for payment of the first subset of items.
[0058] In step 240, the electronic device may transmit a second page to the user terminal. The user may view the second page through an e-commerce application installed on the user terminal. The user may then proceed with the payment process for items included in the first item subset through the second page displayed on the user terminal.
[0059] Referring to FIG. 2B , at step 245, the electronic device may receive a payment input for the first item subset from the user terminal. For example, the user may enter information (e.g., payment method information, shipping address information, real-name authentication information, etc.) necessary for payment for items included in the first item subset on a second page displayed on the user terminal. The user terminal may transmit the payment input, including the information obtained from the user, to the electronic device.
[0060] In step 250, the electronic device can check for a second subset of items among two or more item subsets for which payment has not yet been completed. After payment for the first subset of items has been completed, the electronic device can check whether there are any remaining subsets of items for which payment has not yet been completed. If payment for all subsets of items has been completed, the electronic device can provide the user with a third page (e.g., page (600) of FIG. 6) containing payment completion information, and the user can confirm payment completion and complete shopping. However, if payment for some subsets among the multiple subsets of items has not yet been completed, the electronic device can display information about the second subset of items for which payment has not yet been completed (e.g., object (601) of FIG. 6) on the third page to guide the user to complete payment for the remaining subsets of items, in order to prevent the user from accidentally completing shopping without completing payment for some subsets.
[0061] In step 255, if the second item subset is confirmed, the electronic device may generate a third page including payment completion information of the first item subset and a first object associated with payment of the second item subset. If payment for the first item subset (e.g., a subset of Korean direct purchase items) is completed but payment for the second item subset (e.g., a subset of Taiwanese domestic sale items and / or a subset of US direct purchase items) is not completed, the electronic device may place a button for proceeding with payment of the second item subset on the third page indicating payment completion information of the first item subset, so that the user may be reminded of payment for the second item subset and may click the button to proceed with payment for the second item subset.
[0062] In step 260, the electronic device may transmit a third page to the user terminal. The user may view the third page through an e-commerce application installed on the user terminal.
[0063] Hereinafter, the payment information provision process of the electronic device described through FIGS. 2a and 2b will be described together with the exemplary pages of FIGS. 3 to 9.
[0064] FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a virtual shopping cart page of an e-commerce service according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0065] Referring to Figure 3, a page (300) depicts a virtual shopping cart where a user can temporarily store items they wish to purchase while shopping through an e-commerce application. The user can place desired items in the virtual shopping cart and select at least some of the items in the virtual shopping cart to place an actual purchase order.
[0066] In one embodiment, the electronic device may classify items in a virtual shopping cart according to categories and display them grouped by category on a shopping cart page. In the example illustrated in FIG. 3, items A, B, C, D, and E placed in a user's shopping cart may be classified into three categories: overseas direct purchase from Country A (i.e., overseas direct purchase), overseas direct purchase from Country B, and special delivery. Page (300) displays items belonging to the three categories in areas (310, 320, 330), respectively. Each area (310, 320, 330) may display various information, such as the name of the item belonging to the category, a representative image, price, quantity, expected delivery date, and discount. Each area (310, 320, 330) may further include a total estimated payment amount (311) for items included in each category, an object (312) that can be selected to add additional items included in each category to the shopping cart, and a gauge (313) indicating the ratio between the current amount and the target amount that must be met to receive the free shipping benefit.
[0067] As illustrated in FIG. 3 , a user may select items A, C, and E from among items A, B, C, D, and E in the shopping cart for actual purchase. In one embodiment, a section (340) of the page (300) may display information on the total payment amount of the items selected by the user, regardless of the category of the items. The user may click on an object (a "Purchase" button, 341) to trigger the generation of a payment request for the items A, C, and E selected by the user.
[0068] Meanwhile, items A, C, and E selected by the user for payment and ordering belong to different categories and cannot be paid for through a single process. In this case, the electronic device needs to group the items belonging to each category into different item subsets and guide the user to make payment for each item subset individually. The electronic device can inform the user that each item cannot be paid for simultaneously and provide a first page, such as page (400) of FIG. 4, containing information about multiple item subsets to allow the user to select which of the multiple item subsets to pay for first. Here, one category can correspond to one item subset.
[0069] FIGS. 4A and 4B are diagrams illustrating a page including payment information for a plurality of item subsets according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0070] Referring to FIG. 4A, a page (400) containing information about a plurality of item subsets is illustrated. In one embodiment, the page (400) may be displayed in the form of a pop-up page or a bottom-sheet page temporarily displayed on the shopping cart page (300). Although FIGS. 4A and 4B illustrate the page (400) as being displayed as a bottom-sheet page, the page (400) is not limited thereto and may be displayed on a user terminal in various formats.
[0071] In one embodiment, page (400) may include areas (410), (420), and (430). Area (410) may include information indicating that multiple categories to which multiple items selected by the user belong cannot be paid for simultaneously, i.e., that items included in multiple categories must each go through a separate payment process. Area (420) may include at least one of the names of multiple item subsets, payment amounts, discount information, shipping information, and a list of items included in the item subsets. The list of items may include a list of representative images of the items. Area (430) may include an object for performing payment for one item subset selected in area (420). In response to an input corresponding to an object in area (430), the electronic device may provide the user with a page for payment for the selected item subset, such as page (500) of FIG. 5 .
[0072] In one embodiment, the page (400) includes a list of items included in an item subset, and the list of items may be displayed in response to a selection of an item subset from the item subset list. Referring to FIG. 4B , an area (421) of the page (400) may include a list of items belonging to an item subset for the Country A overseas direct purchase category among a plurality of items selected by the user for purchase as an image list, and the image list may list a representative image of each item. The representative image refers to an image selected from among a plurality of images representing the item as a representative image for the item, and may be determined in advance by the service provider or seller. In one embodiment, the list of items may be displayed only for one item subset selected from the item subset list of the page (400), and may not be displayed for item subsets that are not selected.
[0073] In one embodiment, selection information is obtained through a page (e.g., page (300) of FIG. 3) associated with a virtual shopping cart provided to a user terminal, and a list of items is displayed in the order in which multiple items are contained in the virtual shopping cart, and the list of items may be horizontally scrollable on the first page (400). In one or more embodiments, the list of items may be displayed in the order in which multiple items are contained in the virtual shopping cart, the order in which the user selects items for purchase from the shopping cart, the order in which payment amounts are high, the order in which delivery is fast, or the order in which sales volume is high.
[0074] In one embodiment, items included only in the first item subset may be displayed in a different format from other items in the list of items included in the first item subset. In the list of items corresponding to the first item subset, items included only in the first item subset may be displayed earlier than other items or displayed in a different format from the other items. Depending on their characteristics, for example, an item may be sold only in one country and not in other countries, and may only be purchased through direct overseas purchases from that specific country. The electronic device may identify items sold only in a specific country in a database and highlight those items in the list of items compared to other items, thereby enhancing the user's purchasing desire and satisfaction.
[0075] In one embodiment, the electronic device may receive a selection input for a list of items, and in response to the selection input for the list of items, display payment amount information for the selected items on a first page. In the example illustrated in FIG. 4B , page (400) displays only the total payment amount for items included in each item subset for each category, and not the individual amounts for each item. Therefore, the user may click on one of the images displayed in the list of items to confirm the payment amount for that item.
[0076] In one embodiment, page (400) may include at least one of payment amount information, coupon discount information, and shipping information for each of two or more item subsets. In one embodiment, area (421) of page (400) may include a tag indicating that a coupon discount and / or free shipping benefit is applied. If a coupon discount and / or free shipping benefit is applied to at least some of the multiple items included in the first item subset, the electronic device may display a tag indicating the coupon discount and / or free shipping benefit on an area corresponding to the first item subset in the item subset list. In one embodiment, when a user clicks a tag indicating a coupon discount or free shipping benefit, the items to which the coupon discount or free shipping benefit is applied may be highlighted in the list of items on page (400). This allows the user to determine in advance which items in the list of items are eligible for a discount or free shipping benefit, and to reconsider whether to purchase or increase the purchase quantity.
[0077] By providing page (400), a user can view information about multiple categories that cannot be paid for through a single payment process and sequentially perform payment procedures for multiple item subsets corresponding to each of the multiple categories without omission. Compared to existing methods that simply sequentially provide payment pages for each category without providing page (400), providing page (400) can increase the convenience of payment for each of the multiple item subsets, ultimately enhancing the user experience with direct overseas purchases.
[0078] A user may first select a first subset of items to be paid for on page (400) of FIG. 4A or FIG. 4B, and then click on an object in area (430). In response to the user's click input, the electronic device may provide the user with a page for payment of the selected subset of items, such as page (500) of FIG. 5.
[0079] FIG. 5 is a diagram showing an order and payment page of an e-commerce service according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0080] Referring to FIG. 5, an exemplary page (500) for payment of a first subset of items selected by the user for payment on page (400) of FIG. 4a is illustrated. Page (500) may include information regarding a delivery method, real-name authentication information, a payment method, and a payment amount. In one embodiment, the real-name authentication information is required for customs clearance of items purchased directly overseas and may include personal information such as the user's real name, passport number, resident registration number, and personal customs clearance code. The real-name authentication information is required only when paying for items in the direct overseas purchase category and may not be displayed on the payment page for the domestic special delivery category.
[0081] In one embodiment, information entered by the user on the page (500) for payment of the first item subset to be paid first may also be displayed on the page for payment of other item subsets to be paid subsequently. Even if payment for different item subsets cannot be processed simultaneously due to legal restrictions, the information entered for payment of each item subset may include common information (e.g., shipping address, real-name authentication information, payment method, etc.). To prevent unnecessary duplicate entry of common information, the electronic device may display already obtained information on the page (500) in advance so that the user does not need to enter it again.
[0082] After entering and verifying all payment information, the user can click the "Pay" button at the bottom to trigger the creation of a payment request for the first item subset. If the payment is completed without issue, the electronic device can display a page indicating the successful purchase, as shown on page 600 of FIG. 6, to the user's terminal.
[0083] FIG. 6 and FIG. 7 are diagrams each showing a payment completion page of an e-commerce service according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0084] Referring to FIG. 6, a page (600) is illustrated indicating the completion of payment and purchase of items included in the first item subset. In the example illustrated in FIG. 6, the page (600) may include information such as the country of sale, item details, customs duties, purchaser information, and payment amount associated with the completed payment item subset, along with a thank-you message such as "Your order has been completed. Thank you."
[0085] In one embodiment, the electronic device may identify a second item subset among two or more item subsets for which payment has not yet been completed, and if the second item subset is identified, provide a third page (e.g., page 600) that includes a first area (e.g., area 601) that includes payment completion information for the first item subset and a first object associated with payment for the second item subset. The first area may include information about the second item subset. In the example illustrated in FIG. 6, the payment completion page (600) for the first item subset may include an area (601) that includes a button that allows payment for the second item subset (i.e., the special delivery and country B overseas direct purchase categories for which payment has not yet been completed). Area (601) may display text indicating information about a subset of items for which payment has not yet been completed, such as "Special Delivery, Continue Payment for Overseas Direct Purchase from Country B." The user may click a button in area (601) to continue payment for the remaining subset of items. A UI including such an area (601) can prevent users from accidentally ending shopping without completing payment for some subsets of items, and can enhance the convenience of payment while also improving the user experience.
[0086] In one embodiment, the electronic device may receive a user's selection input corresponding to a first object (e.g., a button in area (601)) and provide a page associated with a virtual shopping cart (e.g., page (610) of FIG. 6) for which payment is to be made. In the example illustrated in FIG. 6, when the user clicks the button in area (601), the electronic device may provide a page (610) associated with the virtual shopping cart so that the user can proceed with payment for the categories "Special Delivery" and "Country B Overseas Direct Purchase," which are categories that have not yet been paid for. In one embodiment, the page associated with the virtual shopping cart may remove items from a first subset of items for which payment has been completed (i.e., items from "Country A Overseas Direct Purchase") and display only items from the "Special Delivery" and "Country B Overseas Direct Purchase" categories for which payment has not yet been completed. The user may select items for actual purchase on page (610), and the electronic device may identify a second subset of items for which payment will be made next based on the user's selection information.
[0087] Referring to FIG. 7, a page (700) is illustrated indicating the completion of payment and purchase of items included in the first item subset. In the example illustrated in FIG. 7, the page (700) may include information such as the country of sale, item details, customs duties, purchaser information, and payment amount associated with the completed payment item subset, along with a thank-you message such as "Your order has been completed. Thank you."
[0088] In one embodiment, the electronic device may receive a user selection input corresponding to a first object (e.g., a button in area (701)) and provide an updated first page (e.g., page (710)), which may include information indicating completion of payment for a first subset of items. Unlike the example illustrated in FIG. 6 , in the example illustrated in FIG. 7 , in response to a user input corresponding to a button in area (701), the electronic device may provide a page (710) including a list of item subsets. The user may select a second item subset to be paid for next from the list of item subsets without having to return to the virtual shopping cart page and reselect the items to be purchased. The first item subset for which payment has already been completed may be displayed in an inactive state with a payment completion tag in the list of item subsets in page (710).
[0089] FIGS. 8A and 8B are diagrams each showing a page including payment information for a plurality of item subsets according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0090] In one embodiment, the electronic device may verify user information for payment of a first item subset from a database, determine whether payment of the first item subset can be completed without the user inputting additional information based on the user information, and provide a first page (e.g., page (800)) based on the determination. If it is determined that payment of the first item subset can be completed without the user inputting additional information, the first page may include a second object (e.g., object (801)) associated with payment of the first item subset. Payment of the first item subset may be completed without providing a second page (e.g., page (500) of FIG. 5) based on a user input corresponding to the second object.
[0091] In the example illustrated in FIG. 8A, a page (800) including a list of item subsets may include an object (801). The electronic device may check the database for user information for payment of the first item subset and determine that the information required for payment of the first item subset has already been obtained and thus there is no need to obtain additional payment information from the user. In this case, the electronic device may provide an object (801) on the page (800) so that the user can complete payment immediately without having to enter information on a separate payment page, in order to improve the convenience of payment for the user. The user may complete payment for the first item subset with a single swipe input corresponding to the object (801). Meanwhile, if the electronic device determines that additional payment information needs to be obtained from the user for payment of the first item subset, the page (400) of FIG. 4A may be displayed on the user terminal without providing the object (801).
[0092] In one embodiment, a first page (e.g., page (800)) includes a second object (e.g., object (801)) for payment of a subset of items selected from a list of subsets of items, and payment of the selected subset of items can be performed based on user input corresponding to the second object. Subsets of items for which payment has been completed are removed from the list of subsets of items, and the first page can include a list of subsets of items for which payment has not yet been performed.
[0093] Referring to FIG. 8B, a process (810) is exemplarily illustrated in which payment for each item subset is sequentially completed through a user input corresponding to an object (801) in an item subset list displayed on a page (800). In the example illustrated in FIG. 8B, a user may select a first item subset (i.e., a country A overseas direct purchase category) from the item subset list, and then complete payment for the first item subset without a separate payment page through a swipe input corresponding to the object (801). When payment for the first item subset is completed, the first item subset is removed from the item subset list on the page (800), and an item subset list composed of item subsets for which payment has not yet been made may be displayed on the page (800).
[0094] Next, the user can select the second item subset (i.e., the Country B overseas direct purchase category) to be paid for next from the item subset list, and complete the payment for the second item subset without a separate payment page by swiping the corresponding object (801). Once the payment for the second item subset is completed, the second item subset is removed from the item subset list on the page (800), and a list of item subsets consisting of the third item subset (i.e., the Special Delivery category) for which payment has not yet been made can be displayed on the page (800). The user can complete the payment for the third item subset in the same manner. In this way, the electronic device can improve the user experience by providing a UI that allows the user to easily complete payment for multiple categories that cannot be paid for with a single payment process with just a few swiping inputs.
[0095] FIG. 9 is a diagram illustrating each page including payment information for a plurality of item subsets according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0096] In one embodiment, the item properties include seller information of the item, and the list of items may be grouped and displayed into multiple subgroups based on the seller information. In the example illustrated in FIG. 9, the electronic device may display a list (910) of items included in the "Special Delivery" category of the item subset list on the page (900), dividing the list into two subgroups (i.e., 1P items and 3P items) based on the seller information of the items. 1P items refer to items that an e-commerce provider purchases and sells directly from a third party, and 3P items refer to items that an e-commerce provider allows a third party to sell by providing an e-commerce platform to the third party without purchasing the items. Since 1P and 3P items may differ in quality, shipping cost, shipping period, etc., the electronic device may display the items included in the list (910) of items by dividing them into multiple subgroups as needed, thereby allowing the user to effectively obtain information about the items they wish to purchase on the page (900).
[0097] FIG. 10 is a flowchart illustrating a method for providing payment information by an electronic device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure. [0098] In step S1010, the electronic device can identify an item set including multiple items based on selection information obtained from the user terminal.
[0099] In step S1020, the electronic device can identify a subset of items from a set of items based on item characteristics of each of the plurality of items.
[0100] In step S1030, the electronic device may provide a first page including a list of item subsets from which one of the two or more item subsets can be selected, if there are two or more item subsets.
[0101] In step S1040, the electronic device may provide a second page for payment of the first item subset confirmed based on an input for the item subset list obtained from the user terminal.
