Description

Pressure conversion type water level indicator

[0001] The present invention relates to a pressure conversion type water level indicator, and more particularly, to a pressure conversion type water level indicator that can stably display a water level without fear of damage due to the pressure of a fluid contained inside a tank, and that can accurately display a water level regardless of the pressure inside the tank.

[0002] Ships typically have various tanks, including oil tanks and water tanks. These tanks are equipped with liquid level indicators to allow external monitoring of the oil and water levels.

[0003] Early liquid level indicators used cast bodies or square iron bars. Consequently, even short flow indicators were extremely heavy, requiring sufficient reinforcement when installed in oil tanks. Furthermore, even a slight difference in the length of the flange for the liquid level indicator on the tank meant that the liquid level indicator could not be installed, necessitating the need to either manufacture a new indicator or remove and reattach the flange already installed on the tank.

[0004] Additionally, there was a problem that oil, or flammable liquid, would continue to flow out of the oil tank in the event of a breakage of the sight glass or a fire on board the ship, and that the oil level would not be clearly visible.

[0005] Therefore, in order to solve this problem, a liquid level indicator was developed by SEETRU LIMITED of the UK that allows the liquid level indicator to be easily fixed to the flange even if the length of the oil tank flange does not exactly match the length of the liquid level indicator, and has a rough surface formed on the viewing glass surface so that the liquid level can be easily checked by the reflection of the rough surface.

[0006] In the case of ship tanks, a method of reading the liquid level of the contents of the tank is used to measure the water level of the contents of the tank.

[0007] However, these liquid level indicators have a problem in that the gauger must use a device such as a ladder to check the liquid level if the tank height is higher than the line of sight.

[0008] Tanks installed inside ships are usually large in capacity, and accordingly, the height of the tank is much higher than the height of an average adult.

[0009] Therefore, a ladder is used to check the water level of the contents in these large-capacity tanks, but if the ship is underway when checking the water level, there is always a risk of a safety accident due to the ship's shaking.

[0010] In other words, not only is it difficult to check the water level, but there is also the problem of a risk of safety accidents.

[0011] To solve this problem, a "pressure conversion type water level indicator" is disclosed in Republic of Korea Utility Model Registration No. 20-0206880.

[0012] This conventional pressure conversion type water level indicator includes a pressure sensing unit (10) having a built-in bellows (13) that contracts or expands with the head pressure of the supplied contents, a pipe formed on one side thereof so that the contents in the tank can be introduced, an oil pipe (20) having silicone oil that transmits the pressure generated when the bellows (13) contracts / expands and is connected to the pressure sensing unit (10) on one side thereof, a pressure displacement converter that converts the hydraulic pressure transmitted by the silicone oil into a mechanical rotational amount and an indicating unit (31, 33) that is connected to the pressure displacement converter and indicates the water level using the converted rotational amount.

[0013] This type of conventional pressure conversion type water level indicator has a problem in that the bellows, which is made up of two thin plates, is deformed by pressure, and as a result, the pressure is not applied evenly and stably, so it cannot display accurate pressure. In addition, since the bellows, which are made up of thin plates, are connected by a central axis, the bellows tilts to one side due to the pressure applied to the bellows, so there is a problem in that it cannot display accurate pressure (water level).

[0014] In addition, since the bellows are joined by argon welding, there is a problem of poor molding of the bellows, the fluidity according to the pressure of the fluid is low, so the range of pressure (water level) conversion is small, and if excessive pressure is applied to the bellows, there is a problem of the bellows being distorted.

[0015] The purpose of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problem, and to provide a pressure conversion type water level indicator that can accurately detect the pressure (water level) inside the water tank by uniformly applying the fluid pressure inside the water tank.

[0016] Another object of the present invention is to provide a pressure conversion type water level indicator that can accurately detect pressure by applying uniform pressure to a pressure sensing unit.

[0017] Another object of the present invention is to provide a pressure conversion type water level indicator in which nitrogen gas is filled inside an oil pipe so that the pressure measured by the pressure sensing unit can be transmitted to the scale gauge unit.

[0018] In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, a pressure conversion type water level indicator according to the present invention is provided with a fixed case (110) formed to have one side open so that fluid in a water tank (10) can flow in, a pressure detection unit (130) is installed inside the fixed case (110), and a pressure detection unit (130) is installed inside the pressure detection unit (130), and a scale gauge unit (150) that displays the pressure in the water tank (10) by the pressure detection unit (130). In the pressure conversion type water level indicator, the pressure detection unit (130) comprises: a pressure detection plate (131) formed with a predetermined thickness to have rigidity to withstand pressure applied from the fluid in the water tank (10), a fixed plate (132) formed with the same thickness as the pressure detection plate (131) and spaced apart from the pressure detection plate (131) by a predetermined distance, and a pressure detection plate (131) disposed between the pressure detection plate (131) and the fixed plate (132). It is characterized by being formed with a pressure deformation plate (135) that is formed with a thickness thinner than the pressure sensing plate (131) so that deformation occurs due to applied pressure.

[0019] The pressure sensing plate (131) is made of a metal material having rigidity so that deformation does not occur due to pressure applied from the fluid within the water tank (10), and the pressure sensing plate (131) is characterized by being formed with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm so that deformation does not occur due to pressure applied from the fluid.

[0020] The pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) are characterized in that a fixed groove (133) having a predetermined diameter is formed on the outer surface of the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) so that the thickness can be matched with the thickness of the pressure deformation plate (135), and a fixed wing (135) is formed to protrude in an arc shape toward one side of one side of the fixed groove (133) so that the thickness can be matched with the thickness of the pressure deformation plate (135).

[0021] The above-mentioned pressure deformation plate (135) is made of a thin plate having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.3 mm so that deformation can easily occur due to fluid pressure within the water tank (10), and the above-mentioned pressure deformation plate (135) is characterized by having 3 to 5 deformation plate modules (136) formed in a 'V' shape and repeated continuously so that deformation can occur due to fluid pressure.

[0022] The above deformation plate module (136) is characterized in that the upper and lower ends of the pressure deformation plate (135) are fixed by laser welding.

[0023] As described above, according to the pressure conversion type water level indicator of the present invention, by forming the pressure sensing plate with a predetermined thickness, deformation or distortion of the pressure sensing plate can be prevented, the pressure of the fluid is uniformly applied to the pressure sensing plate, and even if pressure is applied to a part of the pressure sensing plate, the pressure sensing plate moves in a straight line and the effect of uniform pressure being applied to the pressure sensing plate is obtained.

[0024] In addition, by forming the pressure sensing plate thick, even if the fluid stored in the water tank applies a strong impact or vibration to the pressure sensing plate due to the flow, the pressure sensing plate is not distorted or deformed, and by forming the thickness similar to that of the pressure deformation plate formed of a 0.1 mm thin plate, laser welding is performed more stably, and the deformation plate module can sufficiently deform the pressure sensing plate due to the pressure of the fluid, and the effect of forming sufficient clearance for the pressure sensing plate to move by the deformation plate module formed continuously and repeatedly is obtained.

[0039]

[0040] Hereinafter, a pressure conversion type water level indicator according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0041] According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a pressure conversion type water level indicator is provided, which comprises a fixed case (110) formed to have one side open so that fluid in a water tank (10) can flow in, a pressure detection unit (130) installed inside the fixed case (110), and a graduation gauge unit (150) that displays the pressure in the water tank (10) by the pressure detection unit (130), wherein the pressure detection unit (130) comprises a pressure detection plate (131) formed with a predetermined thickness to have rigidity capable of withstanding pressure applied from the fluid in the water tank (10), a fixed plate (132) formed with the same thickness as the pressure detection plate (131) and spaced apart from the pressure detection plate (131) by a predetermined distance, and a pressure sensor (131) formed between the pressure detection plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) to sense the pressure applied to the pressure detection plate (131). It is made of a pressure deformation plate (135) formed with a thickness thinner than the pressure sensing plate (131) so that deformation occurs.

[0042] FIG. 2 is a three-dimensional view illustrating a pressure conversion type water level indicator according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is an exploded three-dimensional view illustrating a pressure conversion type water level indicator according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view illustrating a pressure conversion type water level indicator according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[0043] As shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, the case body (111) of the fixed case (110) is formed in a cylindrical shape so as to accommodate a pressure sensing unit (130) therein, and a through hole (112) is formed on the outer surface of the case body (111) so as to allow an oil pipe (155) to pass therethrough.

[0044] In addition, the case body (111) is formed with one side open, and a bolt hole (113) is formed so that it can be fixed to a water tank (10, see FIG. 5), and an O-ring groove (114) is formed on one side of the case body (111) so that an O-ring (not shown) can be coupled thereto.

[0045] A pressure detection unit (130) that detects the pressure of the fluid inside the water tank (10) is installed inside the case body (111).

[0046] The above pressure sensing unit (130) is composed of a pressure sensing plate (131) installed in contact with a fluid, a fixed plate (132) installed at a predetermined distance from the pressure sensing plate (131), and a pressure deformation plate (135) that can be deformed according to pressure between the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132).

[0047] The above pressure sensing plate (131) is made of a metal material having rigidity so that deformation does not occur due to pressure applied from the fluid within the water tank (10), and the pressure sensing plate (131) is formed with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm so that deformation does not occur due to pressure applied from the fluid.

[0048] The above pressure sensing plate (131) is made of a metal material so as to withstand the pressure of the fluid stored in the water tank (10), and is formed to a thickness of approximately 2 to 3 mm so as not to be distorted or deformed due to the pressure applied by the fluid.

[0049] This is done by forming the pressure sensing plate (131) thick, so that even if the fluid stored in the water tank (10) applies a strong impact or vibration to the pressure sensing plate (131) due to the flow, the pressure sensing plate (131) is not distorted or deformed.

[0050] In addition, since the pressure sensing plate (131) is formed with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm, even if the fluid presses a part of the pressure sensing plate (131), the pressure sensing plate (131) moves in the horizontal direction as shown in the drawing of FIG. 4.

[0051] That is, even if the fluid applies pressure to a part of the pressure sensing plate (131), the pressure sensing plate (131) moves horizontally while being installed vertically, thereby minimizing displacement due to pressure.

[0052] In addition, the above fixed plate (132) is formed of the same metal material and with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm as the pressure sensing plate (131).

[0053] In addition, a fixing groove (133) and a fixing wing (134) are formed on the outer surface of the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) so that a thin pressure deformation plate (135) can be stably combined.

[0054] As shown in Fig. 4, the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) are formed to have a similar thickness to the pressure deformation plate (135) formed of a 0.1 mm thin plate, so that laser welding can be performed more stably.

[0055] To this end, a fixed groove (133) of a certain depth is formed in the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132), and a fixed wing (134) is integrally formed on one side of the fixed groove (133) with the same thickness as the pressure deformation plate (135).

[0056] That is, the above-mentioned fixed groove (133) is formed to have a thin outer thickness of the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132), and the above-mentioned fixed wing (134) is formed to protrude from one side of the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132), and is formed to have a thickness similar to the thickness of the pressure deformation plate (135) of the thin plate.

[0057] This is because the fixed wing (134) of the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) is formed thinly so that the pressure deformation plate (135) can be welded more stably to the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132).

[0058] Meanwhile, a pressure deformation plate (135) formed in a zigzag shape is installed between the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132), and the pressure deformation plate (135) moves as pressure is applied to the pressure sensing plate (131).

[0059] As shown in Fig. 4, when the pressure sensing plate (131) moves to the right in the drawing, a plurality of pressure deformation plates (135) contract.

[0060] The above-mentioned pressure deformation plate (135) is formed of a thin plate having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.3 mm so that deformation can easily occur due to fluid pressure within the water tank (10), and the above-mentioned pressure deformation plate (135) is formed by continuously repeating 3 to 5 deformation plate modules (136) formed in a 'V' shape so that deformation can occur due to fluid pressure.

[0061] The above pressure deformation plate (135) is formed of a metal material having a thickness of 0.1 to 0.3 mm so that the pressure sensing plate (131) can be easily deformed by the pressure of the fluid.

[0062] In addition, the above deformation plate module (136) is formed by two pressure deformation plates (135) in a 'V' shape, and the deformation plate modules (136) are connected in a continuous and repeated manner in 3 to 5 units so that the pressure sensing plate (131) can be sufficiently deformed by the pressure of the fluid.

[0063] In addition, the above pressure change plate (135) is installed between the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) spaced apart by 10 to 15 mm to secure a distance that allows the pressure sensing plate (131) to move sufficiently due to pressure.

[0064] This ensures that the pressure sensor (131) can move a distance, thereby enabling the pressure inside the water tank (10) to be accurately displayed.

[0065] In addition, the pressure sensing plate (131), the fixed plate (132), and the pressure deformation plate (135) are joined by laser welding to form the shape and size of the pressure sensing unit (130) accurately.

[0066] Figure 5 is a schematic diagram showing a pressure conversion type water level indicator according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.

[0067] As shown in Fig. 5, the fixed case (110) is installed on the side of the water tank (10), and a pressure sensing unit (130) is installed inside the case body (111).

[0068] The above pressure sensing plate (131) is installed so as to be in direct contact with the fluid stored inside the water tank (10), and the pressure sensing plate (131) is moved by the pressure (water level) applied to the pressure sensing plate (131).

[0069] Meanwhile, the needle (151) of the above-mentioned scale gauge unit (150) is installed so as to be rotatable according to the displacement of the pressure sensing plate (131), and a scale plate (152) that displays the pressure (water level) displaced by the needle (151) is installed, and an oil pipe (155) is connected between the pressure sensing unit (130) and the scale gauge unit (150).

[0070] The above oil pipe (155) is filled with nitrogen gas (N2) so that the displacement of the pressure sensing plate (131) can be accurately transmitted.

[0071] The silicone oil filled in the conventional oil pipe (155) was used because its viscosity changes little, but it has the disadvantage of a slow response speed in indicating the displacement of the pressure sensing plate (131) with a needle (151).

[0072] Accordingly, the oil pipe (155) is filled with nitrogen gas while being converted to a vacuum state, so that the scale (151) can be rotated and displayed according to the displacement of the pressure applied to the pressure sensing plate (131).

[0073] That is, the nitrogen gas filled in the oil pipe (155) can sensitively react to the displacement of the pressure sensing plate (131) to rotate the scale (151), and the scale (151) can be immediately rotated and displayed according to the change in pressure applied to the pressure sensing plate (131).

[0074]

[0075] Although the invention made by the present inventor has been specifically described according to the above embodiments, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and can be modified in various ways without departing from the spirit thereof.

[0076] A pressure conversion type water level indicator according to one embodiment of the present invention is configured by a fixed case (110) formed to have one side open so that fluid in a water tank (10) can flow in, a pressure sensing unit (130) installed inside the fixed case (110), and a scale gauge unit (150) that displays the pressure in the water tank (10) by the pressure sensing unit (130), and the pressure sensing unit (130) comprises a pressure sensing plate (131) formed with a predetermined thickness to have rigidity to withstand pressure applied from the fluid in the water tank (10), a fixed plate (132) formed with the same thickness as the pressure sensing plate (131) and spaced apart from the pressure sensing plate (131) by a predetermined distance, and a pressure sensing plate (131) formed between the pressure sensing plate (131) and the fixed plate (132) so that deformation occurs due to pressure applied to the pressure sensing plate (131). By forming a pressure-sensitive plate (135) with a thickness thinner than the pressure-sensitive plate (131), deformation or distortion of the pressure-sensitive plate can be prevented, the pressure of the fluid is uniformly applied to the pressure-sensitive plate, and even if pressure is applied to a part of the pressure-sensitive plate, the pressure-sensitive plate moves in a straight line and a uniform pressure is applied to the pressure-sensitive plate.
