Description

Method for providing delivery-related information and electronic device therefor

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a method for providing delivery-related information to assist a delivery person in making a decision to pick up a product ordered by a customer, and to an electronic device therefor.

[0002] Thanks to the advancement of electronic devices, including smartphones, delivery services, which deliver purchased products to customers' desired locations, are becoming increasingly popular. As competition among various delivery service platforms intensifies, the ability to provide high-quality delivery services is increasingly determining a platform's success. Especially for products requiring freshness, such as prepared meals or ingredients, speed and accuracy of delivery are paramount.

[0003] For accurate and fast delivery, it's crucial that the delivery person picks up the correct item from the store without confusion. If the delivery person accidentally picks up an item not ordered by the customer, they'll have to return to the store, delaying delivery. Furthermore, if another customer orders the wrong item, their service experience will undoubtedly suffer.

[0004] To prevent this, efforts are needed, such as identifying the product by the number shown on the product receipt, but there is currently no means to verify this if the delivery person picks up the product without checking it.

[0005] In this regard, reference may be made to prior literature such as KR 2021-0158826 A.

[0006] The present disclosure is proposed to solve the above-described problem, and aims to provide a method by which a delivery person can verify whether a product ordered by a customer matches a product actually intended for pickup by performing a simple task.

[0007] The technical tasks to be achieved by this embodiment are not limited to the technical tasks described above, and other technical tasks can be inferred from the following embodiments.

[0008] According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided, the method comprising: a step of confirming a customer's order, performed by an electronic device; a step of confirming whether a delivery person assigned to the order has arrived at a store; a step of providing a first task related to order identification information corresponding to the order when the delivery person has arrived at the store; and a step of determining whether the first task has been resolved based on a response to the first task, wherein the order identification information is displayed on an output provided by the store, and when the first task has been resolved, a processing status of the order is changed in response to the resolution of the first task.

[0009] According to one embodiment, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided, wherein the step of checking whether or not arrival includes: checking the current location of the electronic device; and, if the current location of the electronic device is within a certain distance from the address of the store, determining that the delivery person has arrived at the store. In addition, according to another embodiment, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided, wherein the step of checking whether or not arrival includes: receiving a confirmation request indicating that arrival has occurred at the store; confirming the location of the electronic device at the time of receiving the confirmation request; and, if the location of the electronic device is within a certain distance from the address of the store, determining that the delivery person has arrived at the store.

[0010] Meanwhile, according to one embodiment, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided in which the order identification information is generated so as not to overlap with other order identification information corresponding to one or more other orders.

[0011] Meanwhile, according to one embodiment, the first task may be set so that the delivery person selects a view option corresponding to the order identification information from among a plurality of view options for a hidden portion of the order identification information, and a response to the first task may include a touch input or a drag-and-drop input to another area for any one of the plurality of view options. Furthermore, according to another embodiment, the first task may be set so that the delivery person directly inputs a hidden portion of the order identification information without providing a view option, and a response to the first task may include a handwriting input, a physical keypad input, or a touch keypad input for the hidden portion.

[0012] Meanwhile, according to one embodiment, the first task may be a method for providing delivery-related information, wherein at least some of the numbers among the order identification information composed of a combination of English letters and numbers are hidden, and a response is input for the hidden numbers. Furthermore, according to another embodiment, the first task may be a method for providing delivery-related information, wherein the last N letters (where N is a natural number) among the order identification information composed of a combination of English letters and numbers are hidden, and a response is input for the hidden letters.

[0013] Meanwhile, according to one embodiment, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided, further comprising: a step of providing a second task updated from the first task if the first task is not resolved; and a step of determining whether the second task is resolved based on a response to the second task, wherein if the second task is resolved, the processing status of the order is changed in response to the resolution of the second task.

[0014] In one embodiment, the second task may be a method for providing delivery-related information in which the method by which the delivery person inputs a response for a hidden portion of the order identification information is changed. In another embodiment, the second task may be a method for providing delivery-related information in which the hidden portion of the order identification information is expanded. In another embodiment, the second task may be a method for providing delivery-related information in which the number of view options for the hidden portion of the order identification information is increased. In another embodiment, the second task may be a method for providing delivery-related information in which a time limit is applied within which the delivery person can input a response for a hidden portion of the order identification information.

[0015] Meanwhile, according to one embodiment, if the first task is solved, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided, further including a step of providing detailed address information of the customer.

[0016] According to another aspect of the present disclosure, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided, the method comprising: confirming a customer's order; confirming whether a delivery person assigned to the order has arrived at a store; confirming whether a penalty has been imposed on the delivery person's account; providing a first task related to order identification information corresponding to the order to the delivery person's account when the delivery person has arrived at the store and the delivery person's account is an account to which the penalty has been imposed, if the delivery person has arrived at the store and the delivery person's account is an account to which the penalty has been imposed, providing a second task updated from the first task to the delivery person's account; and determining whether the first task or the second task has been resolved based on a response to the first task or the second task, wherein the order identification information is displayed on an output provided by the store, and when the first task or the second task is resolved, a processing status of the order is changed in response to the resolution of the first task or the second task.

[0017] According to one embodiment, a method for providing delivery-related information may be provided, wherein the step of determining whether a penalty is imposed includes a step of determining whether the delivery person's account is classified as an account suspected of abusing based on the delivery person's work history.

[0018] Meanwhile, according to one embodiment, the second task may be provided in a method for providing delivery-related information, wherein the delivery person is set to scan the output through the electronic device.

[0019] Meanwhile, according to one aspect of the present disclosure, an electronic device may be provided, including a memory for storing instructions and a processor, wherein the processor is connected to the memory to confirm a customer's order, confirm whether a delivery person assigned to the order has arrived at a store, and, when the delivery person has arrived at the store, provide a first task related to order identification information corresponding to the order, and determine whether the first task is solved based on a response to the first task, wherein the order identification information is displayed on an output provided by the store, and when the first task is solved, a processing status of the order is changed in response to the solution of the first task.

[0020] In addition, according to another aspect of the present disclosure, an electronic device may be provided, including a memory for storing instructions and a processor, wherein the processor is connected to the memory to confirm a customer's order, confirm whether a delivery person assigned to the order has arrived at a store, confirm whether a penalty has been imposed on the delivery person's account, and if the delivery person has arrived at the store and the delivery person's account is an account to which the penalty has not been imposed, provide a first task related to order identification information corresponding to the order to the delivery person's account, and if the delivery person has arrived at the store and the delivery person's account is an account to which the penalty has been imposed, provide a second task updated from the first task to the delivery person's account, and determine whether the first task or the second task is resolved based on a response to the first task or the second task, wherein the order identification information is displayed on an output provided by the store, and if the first task or the second task is resolved, a processing status of the order is changed in response to the resolution of the first task or the second task.

[0021] Specific details of other embodiments are included in the detailed description and drawings.

[0022] According to the proposed embodiment, one or more of the following effects can be expected.

[0023] According to the disclosed embodiment, by providing a delivery person who arrives at a store with a task related to order identification information to respond to, and changing the processing status of the order based on the response, it is possible to prevent the delivery person from picking up other products without excessively reducing the work efficiency of the delivery person.

[0024] Additionally, according to the disclosed embodiment, by updating the task in various ways based on the delivery person's response, it is possible to provide motivation for the delivery person to faithfully perform the task and verify whether the ordered product matches the product that the delivery person actually intends to pick up.

[0025] The effects of the invention are not limited to the effects mentioned above, and other effects not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description of the claims.

[0032] Hereinafter, specific embodiments will be described with reference to the drawings. The following detailed description is provided to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the methods, devices, and / or systems described herein. However, these are merely examples, and the disclosed embodiments are not limited thereto.

[0033] In describing the embodiments, if it is determined that a detailed description of related known technology may unnecessarily obscure the gist of the disclosed embodiments, the detailed description will be omitted. In addition, the terms described below are terms defined in consideration of functions in the disclosed embodiments, and this may vary depending on the intention or custom of the user or operator. Therefore, the definitions should be made based on the contents throughout this specification. The terminology used in the detailed description is only for the purpose of describing the embodiments and should never be limited. Unless clearly used otherwise, the singular form includes the plural form. In this description, expressions such as "comprises" or "having" are intended to indicate certain features, numbers, steps, operations, elements, parts or combinations thereof, and should not be construed to exclude the presence or possibility of one or more other features, numbers, steps, operations, elements, parts or combinations thereof other than those described.

[0034] The terms used in the embodiments have been selected from widely used and common terms, taking into account the functions of the present disclosure. However, these terms may vary depending on the intentions of those skilled in the art, precedents, the emergence of new technologies, etc. Furthermore, in certain cases, terms may be arbitrarily selected by the applicant, in which case their meanings will be described in detail in the relevant description. Therefore, the terms used in this disclosure should not be defined simply as names of terms, but rather based on the meanings of the terms and the overall content of the present disclosure.

[0035] When a part of the specification is said to "include" a component, this does not exclude other components, but rather implies the inclusion of other components, unless otherwise specifically stated. Furthermore, terms such as "part," "module," etc., used in the specification refer to a unit that processes at least one function or operation, which may be implemented in hardware or software, or a combination of hardware and software, and, unlike the illustrated examples, may not be clearly distinguished in their specific operations.

[0036] The expression "at least one of a, b, and c" described throughout the specification may encompass 'a alone', 'b alone', 'c alone', 'a and b', 'a and c', 'b and c', or 'all of a, b, and c'.

[0037] The "terminal" mentioned below may be implemented as a computer or portable terminal that can connect to a server or other terminal via a network. Here, the computer includes, for example, a notebook, desktop, laptop, etc. equipped with a web browser, and the portable terminal may include, for example, a wireless communication device that guarantees portability and mobility, and may include all types of handheld-based wireless communication devices such as communication-based terminals such as IMT (International Mobile Telecommunication), CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), W-CDMA (W-Code Division Multiple Access), LTE (Long Term Evolution), smartphones, tablet PCs, etc.

[0038] In the following description, the terms “transmission,” “communication,” “sending,” “receiving,” or other similar meanings of signals or information include not only direct transmission of signals or information from one component to another, but also transmission via another component.

[0039] In particular, "transmitting" or "sending" a signal or information as a single component indicates the final destination of the signal or information, not the direct destination. The same applies to "receiving" a signal or information. Furthermore, in this specification, "relating" two or more pieces of data or information means that, upon acquiring one piece of data (or information), at least a portion of the other piece of data (or information) can be acquired based on that piece of data (or information).

[0040] Additionally, while terms such as first, second, etc. may be used to describe various components, these components should not be limited by these terms. These terms may be used to distinguish one component from another.

[0041] For example, without departing from the scope of the present invention, a first component could be referred to as a second component, and similarly, a second component could also be referred to as a first component.

[0042] In describing the embodiments, descriptions of technical details that are well known in the technical field to which the present invention pertains and are not directly related to the present invention will be omitted. This is to avoid obscuring the gist of the present invention by omitting unnecessary explanations and to convey the gist more clearly.

[0043] For the same reason, some components in the attached drawings are exaggerated, omitted, or schematically depicted. Furthermore, the dimensions of each component do not entirely reflect its actual size. Identical or corresponding components in each drawing are assigned the same reference numbers.

[0044] The advantages and features of the present invention, and the methods for achieving them, will become clearer with reference to the embodiments described in detail below together with the accompanying drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments disclosed below and may be implemented in various different forms. These embodiments are provided only to ensure that the disclosure of the present invention is complete and to fully inform those skilled in the art of the scope of the invention, and the present invention is defined only by the scope of the claims. Like reference numerals designate like elements throughout the specification.

[0045] It will be appreciated that each block of the flowchart drawings and combinations of the flowchart drawings can be performed by computer program instructions. These computer program instructions can be installed in a processor of a general-purpose computer, a special-purpose computer, or other programmable data processing equipment, such that the instructions, when executed by the processor of the computer or other programmable data processing equipment, create a means for performing the functions described in the flowchart block(s). These computer program instructions can also be stored in a computer-available or computer-readable memory that can direct a computer or other programmable data processing equipment to perform the functions in a specific manner, such that the instructions stored in the computer-available or computer-readable memory can produce an article of manufacture that includes instruction means for performing the functions described in the flowchart block(s). Since the computer program instructions may be installed on a computer or other programmable data processing device, a series of operational steps may be performed on the computer or other programmable data processing device to create a computer-executable process, and the instructions that cause the computer or other programmable data processing device to perform the steps for performing the functions described in the flowchart block(s) may also provide steps for performing the functions described in the flowchart block(s).

[0046] Additionally, each block may represent a module, segment, or portion of code that contains one or more executable instructions for performing a specific logical function(s). It should also be noted that in some alternative implementation examples, the functions described in the blocks may occur out of order. For example, two blocks depicted in succession may actually be executed substantially concurrently, or the blocks may sometimes be executed in reverse order, depending on their respective functions.

[0047] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings so that those skilled in the art can easily practice the present disclosure. However, the present disclosure may be implemented in various different forms and is not limited to the embodiments described herein. The methods illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3 may be performed, for example, by an electronic device (100) described with reference to FIG. 7. That is, the electronic device (100) is an exemplary device for providing delivery-related information to a delivery person in the present disclosure, and may be a single device, but depending on the embodiment, it may also be a system composed of multiple detailed devices that communicate with each other via a wired or wireless network.

[0048] Figure 1 is a flowchart illustrating a method for providing delivery-related information according to one embodiment. The method described below with reference to Figures 1 through 3 may be performed by a delivery terminal or a server. For convenience of explanation, the entity performing the method will be referred to as an "electronic device," and this will be described in more detail with reference to Figure 4 below.

[0049] First, the electronic device can confirm the customer's order (S110). The electronic device may directly receive an order request from the customer's terminal, or may receive a specific order request from a separate server that receives multiple order requests. In the present disclosure, confirming a customer's order may mean confirming that an order has been assigned to a delivery person and identifying at least some of the information necessary to process the order. For example, the electronic device may confirm that an order has been assigned to a delivery person, identify the address of the store preparing the product according to the order, and identify the details of the ordered product.

[0050] Next, the electronic device can check whether the delivery person assigned to the order has arrived at the store (S120).

[0051] In one embodiment, the electronic device can determine whether a delivery person has arrived at the store without the delivery person's intervention. Specifically, the electronic device can determine the current location of the electronic device (e.g., the Global Positioning System (GPS) location of a smartphone) and, if the current location is within a certain distance from the store's address, determine that the delivery person has arrived at the store. Accordingly, the electronic device can automatically determine the delivery person's arrival without a separate command simply by moving to the store where the delivery person will pick up the product, thereby increasing the delivery person's work speed and simplifying the process.

[0052] Meanwhile, according to another embodiment, the electronic device can operate according to the delivery person's input to confirm whether the delivery person has arrived at the store. Specifically, the electronic device receives a confirmation request indicating that the delivery person has arrived at the store, determines the location of the electronic device at the time of receiving the confirmation request, and determines that the delivery person has arrived at the store if the location of the electronic device is within a certain distance from the store's address. For example, if the delivery person is near the store where the product will be picked up, or enters the store and notifies the electronic device of their arrival through the input interface, the electronic device can determine whether the delivery person has arrived based on this point. Even if the delivery person arrives near the store, it cannot be guaranteed that the delivery person will pick up the product prepared by the store, and the possibility that the delivery person may be engaged in other work or personal matters cannot be ruled out. Therefore, this can increase the convenience of the delivery person's work.

[0053] Of course, the two embodiments described above are not exclusive and can be selectively applied to various work situations. For example, a delivery person can configure the delivery person terminal application to automatically or manually process store arrival status. If the electronic device automatically processes store arrival status based on the settings, the aforementioned embodiment can be applied. If the electronic device processes store arrival status manually, the following embodiment can be applied.

[0054] Next, when a delivery person arrives at the store, the electronic device may provide a first task related to order identification information corresponding to the order (S130). In the present disclosure, "order identification information" may refer to information that can identify each order assigned to a delivery person over a certain period of time, or information that can identify each order received at a store over a certain period of time. The order identification information may be displayed on printed materials provided by the store. For example, when an order is received at the store, the order identification information may be printed on a receipt output from a delivery order processing device installed in the store.

[0055] In one embodiment, the order identification information may be composed of a combination of English letters and numbers, but is not necessarily limited thereto, and in some cases, may be composed of only English letters or only numbers, or may be composed of a combination of at least some of English letters, numbers, or a second language (e.g., Hangul, Katakana, Hiragana, Simplified Chinese characters, Traditional Chinese characters, etc.).

[0056] Additionally, in one embodiment, order identification information may be generated so as not to overlap with other order identification information corresponding to one or more other orders. For example, order identification information may be generated so as not to overlap with other order identification information corresponding to one or more other orders assigned to the delivery person. In another example, order identification information may be generated so as not to overlap with other order identification information corresponding to one or more other orders received at the store. This is to prevent delivery people from being confused by duplicate order identification information. For example, order identification information may be information that has a certain degree of similarity with other order identification information. Similarity may be defined in various ways, but as an example, if the total number of characters in the order identification information and other order identification information is the same, it may be calculated based on the ratio of the number of identical characters between the order identification information and other order identification information to the total number of characters. For example, if both the order identification information and other order identification information are 10 characters long and the number of identical characters between the two pieces of information is 6, the similarity between the two pieces of information may be calculated as 60%.

[0057] Next, the electronic device can determine whether the first task has been resolved based on the response to the first task (S140). If the first task has been resolved, the processing status of the customer's order can be changed in response to the resolution of the first task (S150).

[0058] In one embodiment, if the first task is resolved, the electronic device may provide the customer's detailed address information. For example, if the delivery person enters a correct response to the first task, the customer's detailed address information may be displayed on the electronic device's screen. This means that the delivery person must resolve the task before picking up the item, as the delivery person cannot know the exact address to which the picked-up item will be delivered without resolving the task. This forces the delivery person to verify the order identification information, which sacrifices some of the convenience of the delivery person, but more reliably prevents delivery errors.

[0059] Meanwhile, in one embodiment, the first task may be a task configured to require a delivery person to select a view option corresponding to the order identification information from among multiple view options for a hidden portion of the order identification information. In this case, the response to the first task may be made in any manner, such as selecting one of the view options. For example, this may be done by touching and inputting one of the multiple view options on the screen of the electronic device, or by dragging and dropping one of the multiple view options from one area to another.

[0060] In another embodiment, the first task may be one in which the delivery person is asked to directly input hidden portions of the order identification information without providing a view option. In this case, the response to the first task may be made in any manner by entering a string of characters through the input interface of the electronic device. For example, the hidden portion may be handwritten with a stylus or by hand, entered through a physical keypad of the electronic device, or entered through a touch keypad displayed on the electronic device's screen.

[0061] In another embodiment, the first task may be a task in which at least a portion of the numbers in the order identification information, which is composed of a combination of English letters and numbers, are hidden, and a response is entered for the hidden numbers. Conversely, the first task may be a task in which at least a portion of the English letters are hidden, and a response is entered for the hidden numbers. Since there are 10 numbers (0 to 9) that can be placed in a single digit, while there are 26 alphabetic characters (a to z) that can be placed in a single digit, whether the target of hiding is English letters or numbers may be determined based on the difficulty of the task.

[0062] In another embodiment, the first task may be a task in which the last N letters (where N is a natural number) of the order identification information, consisting of a combination of English letters and numbers, are hidden, and a response is input for the hidden letters. Conversely, the first task may be a task in which the first N letters of the order identification information are hidden, and a response is input for the hidden letters.

[0063] Regarding the first task, the above-described embodiments may be applied alone or in combination. Since the difficulty of the task will vary depending on which embodiment is applied to the task, the electronic device may determine which embodiment to apply to the task by considering the delivery person's information. For example, the electronic device may apply embodiments to lower the difficulty of the task for older delivery persons or those with a high error-free performance rate. Furthermore, the electronic device may apply embodiments to increase the difficulty of the task for delivery persons with relatively short or new work experience, those with a high error rate, or those with a history of abusive behavior. To this end, the method applied to the task and the difficulty of the task may be stored in a matching form in internal or external storage of the electronic device. The electronic device may also access each delivery person's account information in a dedicated delivery person application to verify the delivery person's age, work history, etc. This can also be applied to the tasks described with reference to the drawings below.

[0064] Figures 2 and 3 are flowcharts of a method for providing delivery-related information according to an additional embodiment.

[0065] Figure 2 relates to a method for providing delivery-related information when a delivery person incorrectly responds to a previously presented task.

[0066] First, the electronic device can confirm the customer's order (S210).

[0067] Next, the electronic device can check whether the delivery person assigned to the order has arrived at the store (S220).

[0068] Next, the electronic device may provide a task related to order identification information corresponding to the order when the delivery person arrives at the store (S230). The order identification information may be displayed on a printout provided by the store.

[0069] Next, the electronic device can determine whether the task has been resolved based on the response to the task (S240). If the task has been resolved, the processing status of the customer's order can be changed accordingly (S250).

[0070] Meanwhile, if the task is not resolved, the electronic device can provide an updated task from the existing task (S260) and repeat steps S240 and S250. Specifically, the electronic device can provide an updated task by changing, deleting, or adding new information to at least some of the information about the existing task. Hereinafter, for convenience of explanation, the existing task is referred to as the "first task," and the updated task is referred to as the "second task." However, it should be noted that the terms "first task" and "second task" are not used to specify tasks at a specific point in time, but are merely terms used to distinguish before and after an update in the relationship between the two tasks.

[0071] In one embodiment, compared to the first task, the second task may change the way delivery personnel enter responses to hidden portions of the order identification information. For example, the first task may be multiple-choice, while the second task may be subjective.

[0072] In another embodiment, compared to the first task, the second task may have an expanded hidden area of order identification information. For example, while the first task may be a multiple-choice task covering the first hidden area of order identification information, the second task may be a multiple-choice task covering a second area that is expanded beyond the first area.

[0073] In another embodiment, compared to the first task, the second task may have an increased number of viewing options for hidden portions of the order identification information. For example, while the first task may be a multiple-choice task presenting M viewing options for hidden portions of the order identification information, the second task may be a multiple-choice task presenting N viewing options (where M and N are natural numbers and N > M).

[0074] In another embodiment, compared to the first task, the second task may have a time limit for the delivery person to enter a response for some hidden order identification information. For example, the first task may have no time limit for the delivery person to enter a response, while the second task may require the delivery person to enter a response within 30 seconds.

[0075] The embodiments described above with respect to the second task may be applied alone, or two or more may be applied simultaneously. The difficulty of the task will vary depending on which embodiment is applied to the task. Therefore, the electronic device may sequentially update the task, such as the third task, the fourth task, etc., each time the delivery person inputs an incorrect response to the task, thereby increasing the difficulty of the task. In this process, two or more of the embodiments described above with respect to the second task may be applied in combination, or an existing method may be applied to a greater degree (e.g., by further expanding the hidden area, lowering the time limit, or increasing the number of view options).

[0076] Next, Fig. 3 relates to a method for providing delivery-related information by taking into account the penalty imposed on the delivery person.

[0077] First, the electronic device can confirm the customer's order (S310).

[0078] Next, the electronic device can check whether the delivery person assigned to the order has arrived at the store (S320).

[0079] Next, the electronic device can determine whether a penalty has been imposed on the delivery person's account (S330). In one embodiment, the electronic device can determine whether the delivery person's account has been classified as an account suspected of abusive activity based on the delivery person's work history, and determine that an account classified as an account suspected of abusive activity is subject to a penalty. In this regard, the classification criteria for abusive activity can be defined in various ways. For example, if a delivery person accesses a delivery person-only application simultaneously from a certain number of terminals using the same account, applies unauthorized changes to the delivery person-only application, links the delivery person-only application with an unauthorized extension program, or violates the terms of use specified within the delivery person-only application, these may be determined to be abusive activities.

[0080] Next, if the delivery person arrives at the store and the delivery person's account is not subject to penalties, the electronic device may provide a first task related to order identification information corresponding to the order (S340). The order identification information may be displayed on a printout provided by the store.

[0081] On the other hand, if the delivery person arrives at the store and the delivery person's account is subject to a penalty, the electronic device may provide a second task updated from the first task (S350). When updating the task, the embodiment described above with reference to FIG. 2 may be applied, or a special task update method based on the penalty may be applied. In one embodiment, the second task may be a task configured to require the delivery person to scan a printed document using the electronic device. For example, as an example of differentiating between a task update method that considers penalties for abusive behavior and a task update method based on a simple task failure, a delivery person who has committed an abusive behavior may be forced to scan a food receipt with a smartphone, thereby providing motivation to the delivery person not to commit an abusive behavior.

[0082] Next, the electronic device can determine whether the first or second task has been resolved based on the response to the first or second task (S360). If the first or second task has been resolved, the order processing status may change in response to the resolution of the first or second task (S370).

[0083] Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of a system (10) for providing delivery-related information according to one embodiment.

[0084] Referring to FIG. 4, the system (10) may include a delivery terminal (11), a server (12), and a network (13). Meanwhile, the system (10) illustrated in FIG. 4 only illustrates components related to the present embodiment. Therefore, those skilled in the art will understand that, in addition to the components illustrated in FIG. 4, other general-purpose components may be included. As described above, the electronic device that performs each step described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 may include a delivery terminal (11) or a server (12).

[0085] The delivery terminal (11) is a terminal used by the delivery person, and the delivery person can receive information necessary for performing delivery work by using the delivery terminal (11) or provide information generated according to the delivery person's input to the server (12). The information transmitted between the delivery terminal (11) and the server (12) may include at least a portion of information regarding delivery history, information regarding currently assigned delivery orders, the delivery person's account information, or the delivery person's profile information. However, the information transmitted between the delivery terminal (11) and the server (12) is not limited thereto.

[0086] The server (12) is a device that receives information input through the input interface of the delivery terminal (11), receives information generated and processed by the delivery terminal (11), and transmits information generated based on the information received from the delivery terminal (11) or information received from other external devices to the delivery terminal (11). For example, the server (12) may receive an order requested by a customer to a store and assign the received order to a delivery person. Meanwhile, referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, the processing status of an order may change as a task is solved. According to one embodiment, the server (12) may receive a signal from the delivery terminal (11) notifying that the task has been solved, change the processing status of the order, and transmit changes in the processing status of the order to the delivery terminal (11). In addition, according to one embodiment, the update of the task may be performed by the delivery terminal (11), but may also be performed by the server (12) depending on the embodiment.

[0087] The delivery terminal (11) and the server (12) can communicate with each other within the network (13). Communication between the delivery terminal (11) and the server (12) can be performed in real time, at regular intervals, or at the request of the manager of the server (12) or the delivery person. The network (13) includes a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), a value added network (VAN), a mobile radio communication network, a satellite communication network, a contents delivery network (CDN), and a combination thereof, and is a comprehensive data communication network that allows each network component illustrated in FIG. 4 to communicate smoothly with each other, and may include a wired Internet, a wireless Internet, and a mobile wireless communication network. Wireless communications may include, but are not limited to, wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, Bluetooth low energy, Zigbee, WFD (Wi-Fi Direct), UWB (ultra wideband), infrared communication (IrDA, infrared Data Association), NFC (Near Field Communication), etc.

[0088] Figure 5 is an exemplary diagram illustrating a process for providing delivery-related information through a delivery terminal (11) and a server (12). As illustrated in Figure 5, the delivery terminal (11) can communicate with a server (12) that manages the service of the delivery application installed on the delivery terminal (11) via a network.

[0089] Specifically, the server (12) can receive customer orders. The server (12) can perform a function of comprehensively managing information on orders from numerous customers. The server (12) can assign a specific order to a delivery person of the delivery person terminal (11) among the multiple orders it manages, at the request of the delivery person terminal (11) or at the discretion of the server (12) itself. According to one embodiment, when assigning an order, the server (12) provides the delivery person terminal (11) with information on the store corresponding to the order to be assigned and the approximate location information of the customer to whom the product will be delivered, and can inquire whether the delivery person accepts the order. However, when inquiring whether the delivery person accepts the order, the information provided to the delivery person terminal (11) may differ from the above-described details depending on the embodiment. If the delivery person does not accept the order assignment, the delivery person terminal (11) may remain in a state of waiting for the order assignment. The following applies to the case where the delivery person accepts the order assignment.

[0090] Next, the delivery terminal (11) can confirm the assigned order (order reception) and, as the delivery person moves to the store where the ordered product is prepared, confirm the delivery person's arrival at the store (store arrival confirmation). If the delivery person arrives at the store, the delivery terminal (11) can generate a task related to the order identification information through the delivery person application and display the task through the output interface (e.g., display) of the delivery terminal (11).

[0091] When a delivery person inputs a response to a task through an input interface (e.g., a display, a keypad, etc.) of the delivery person terminal (11), the delivery person terminal (11) can determine whether the task is solved based on the response. If the task is solved, the processing status of the order may be changed in response to the solution of the task. Typically, the processing status of the order may be changed to a state where product pickup is completed. The change in the processing status of the order may be made by the server (12) and transmitted to the delivery person terminal (11), or may be made by the delivery person terminal (11) and recorded in the server (12). In addition, information on the changed status may be provided to the delivery person through the output interface of the delivery person terminal (11). According to one embodiment, when allocating an order, if information on the store corresponding to the order to be allocated and the general location information of the customer to whom the product will be delivered are received from the server (12), detailed location information of the customer to whom the product will be delivered may be received from the server (12) as the task is solved. Meanwhile, if the task is not resolved, the delivery terminal (11) can update the previously created task through the delivery application and display the updated task through the output interface.

[0092] In each of the above-described series of processes, information based on the delivery person's input, or information that is created or updated, can be transmitted between the delivery person terminal (11) and the server (12). For example, logs regarding various events that occurred in the delivery person application can be transmitted to and recorded in the server (12). In FIG. 5, the log recording is illustrated as being performed from the delivery person terminal (11) to the server (12), but this is for convenience of explanation, and the log recording may also be performed from the server (12) to the delivery person terminal (11). In addition, in FIG. 5, processes such as order reception, store arrival confirmation, task creation, and task update are illustrated as being performed in the delivery person terminal (11), but this is also for convenience of explanation, and the corresponding processes may also be performed in the server (12).

[0093] Figure 6 is an exemplary diagram illustrating the process by which a delivery person enters a response to a displayed task. Specifically, Figure 6 provides a more detailed explanation of the situation in which a task is displayed after the delivery person's arrival at the store is confirmed, among the processes illustrated in Figure 5.

[0094] FIG. 6 illustrates an output (60) provided through a device installed in a store when an order is received at the store. The output (60) may display order identification information ('CX23TA1'), and, depending on the embodiment, additional information such as the store name, store address, details of the ordered product, and the price for the order may be displayed.

[0095] A delivery person who arrives at a store may be provided with a task related to order identification information through the delivery person application of the delivery person terminal (11). The task illustrated in FIG. 6 is an example of such a task, which requires the delivery person to select the appropriate letter for the last two digits of the order identification information printed on the output (60) from among three view options ('8W', 'A1', '39'). The delivery person may respond to the task by touching the view option through the display of the delivery person terminal (11). If the delivery person selects '8W' or '39', the delivery person will not be permitted to pick up the product ('1 large pepperoni pizza, 2 large bottles of cola'), and the task may be updated depending on the embodiment. On the other hand, if the delivery person selects 'A1', the delivery person will be permitted to pick up the product, and the order processing status may be changed to 'pickup of the product is complete'.
