Description

[0001] Designer detail

[0002] The proposed invention relates to elements that need to be connected to each other. According to the claimed technical solution, the connection of solid, elastic, inflatable and flexible plastic bodies can be carried out through a magnetic connection.

[0003] A construction kit part is known (RU 193528, published 31.10.2019 Bulletin No. 31), which is made in the form of a polyhedron, contains magnets fixed on the face of the polyhedron with the possibility of joining it with another similar part, each face of the polygon contains at least two magnets of different magnetization, while the center of the magnet of positive magnetization and the center of the magnet of negative magnetization are located on a line parallel to the face of the polyhedron and equidistant from the perpendicular to its edge, constructed through the center of the face.

[0004] The closest in technical essence is a design component (RU 205734, published 03.08.2021 Bulletin No. 22), made in the form of a polyhedron, containing magnets fixed on the face of the polyhedron with the possibility of connecting it to another polyhedron with a surface similar in terms of magnet placement. The magnets are placed in the cavities of the polyhedron cover formed on the edges of the polyhedron, where they can move and rotate freely, providing the ability to dock one polyhedron with another polyhedron, while the cover is made of a material that transmits a magnetic field.

[0005] The disadvantage of these technical solutions is the use of a large number of magnets on each face of the prism (in the case of placing magnets on the side faces of the prism).

[0006] The claimed invention solves the problem of connecting solid, elastic, inflatable or flexible plastic bodies through a magnetic connection.

[0007] This problem is solved in that a construction set part containing a magnet is designed with the possibility of being connected to another construction set part having a magnet, and is distinguished by the fact that it contains a strap attached to the construction set part with a pocket in which the magnet is located.

[0008] The technical result provided by the given set of features is the ability to connect the surfaces of the design parts, both those having the same shape and those of different shapes, due to the ability of the magnet to “go beyond the “boundaries” of the part and, due to this, connect with the magnet of another part.

[0009] The technical solution is intended for organizing children's leisure, building structures of a child's full height from large parts with a magnetic connection, and also provides for other options for use where it is necessary to connect two parts.

[0010] A construction set part can be any body with a base and sides. The connection of two parts occurs through magnets attached to straps, which lead the magnet beyond the side and thus provide a larger area of coupling of two parts. The straps are made of flexible materials that can be hidden inside a recess in a flat part and do not interfere with the vertical stability of the part.

[0011] The essence of the invention is explained by drawings, which show: Fig. 1 - a general view of the part in section; Fig. 2 - the principle of placing the strap on the part; Fig. 3 - the principle of connecting two parts; Fig. 4 - a schematic image of the strap with a magnet; Fig. 5 - a photo of connected parts of the constructor; Fig. 6 - an example of part No. 1 is shown; Fig. 7 - an example of part No. 2 is shown; Fig. 8 - an example of part No. 3 is shown; Fig. 9 - an example of part No. 4 is shown; Fig. 10 - an example of part No. 5 is shown; Fig. 11 - an example of part No. 6 is shown; Fig. 12 - an example of part No. 7 is shown; Fig. 13 - an example of part No. 8 is shown; Fig. 14 - an example of part No. 9 is shown.

[0012] The claimed device is a base of part 1 of the construction set and a strap 2 with a magnet 3, attached to the base of the construction set part (Fig. 1). The magnet is located in a pocket (cavity) 4, which is attached to the strap. The magnet moves and rotates freely inside the pocket. The pocket is made in such a way that the magnet does not fall out of it. The base of the construction set is understood to be the part itself, which has a different shape. The construction set part can have either one strap with a magnet, or several straps over the entire surface of the part.

[0013] The ends of the strap are attached to the side face of the part (attachment of the ends of the strap to the base of the part is allowed), while the part may have a recess 5 for placing the strap and an area 6 for attaching the strap to the part (Fig. 2), where h is the smallest thickness of the flat part of the constructor (base thickness).

[0014] A construction set part may be a solid body, an elastic body, an inflatable body, and a body of a defined shape. A solid body is a body that does not change its shape under an external impact on this body, for example, wood, cardboard, plastic. An elastic body and an inflatable body are bodies that change their shape under an external impact on this body and return to their original shape after the external impact is removed, for example, foamed polyethylene, elastic polyurethane foam, EVA, polyester fiber, an inflatable pillow. An external impact on a body means a physical impact, for example, by a person's hands on this body. Since this technical solution describes the parts of a children's construction set, an external impact on a construction set part means a physical impact of a child aged 3 to 10 years. A body of a defined shape is a body that partially takes the shape of another body, for example, a body of a defined shape: a blanket. When we cover another body with a blanket, the blanket partially takes the shape of the other body. We can give the blanket any shape we want with our hands: crumple it or straighten it out.

[0015] The construction set part may consist of an outer cover, a frame and a filler. The construction set part may not contain any of these components. The outer cover is an elastic, durable and safe woven or non-woven material, such as blended fabrics (PVC, PU), cotton, polyester, spunbond and similar materials. It is allowed to use a combined cover made of different materials. The frame can be made of metal wire, wood, cardboard, plastic, foamed polyethylene, foam rubber, EVA plastic (EVA), felt panel, polymer sheet and similar materials. The inner filler is an elastic, durable and safe material, such as EPPU, polyester fiber, foamed polyethylene, non-crosslinked polyethylene, crosslinked polyethylene, foamed rubber, secondary foam rubber, evaplast, foam rubber, plastic, polymer sheet, felt panel and similar materials.

[0016] In the stated solution, to create stable structures, at least one magnetic strap is sufficient for each face (in the case of placing magnets on the side faces of the part).

[0017] The construction set part can be made in the form of a prism. The prism has a thickness. If magnets are placed directly on the prism face, the prisms can be joined only in one plane - in the plane that is an extension of the prism plane. To join prisms in different planes, the magnet must be moved away from the prism face. There is a problem of vertical stability of the construction set part when it stands vertically on the prism face. To solve these problems, straps 2 with magnets 3 are attached to the prism face. The magnets are placed in pockets (cavities) 4 connected to the straps. The ends of each strap are attached to the side face or to the base of the prism. The strap with the magnet is hidden in the cavity 5. The presence of the cavity is optional.

[0018] The connection of the two bodies occurs through straps with magnets attached to the parts (Fig. 3).

[0019] The strap 2 consists of one (Fig. 4a) or more (Fig. 46) tapes and a pocket (cavity) 4 with a magnet 3. One end of the tape is attached directly to the part 1, the other end of the tape holds the cavity with the magnet. The fastening of the tape to the part or to the cavity with the magnet can be formed by stitching, gluing, soldering and other methods applied to the material used.

[0020] The strap material is any flexible, durable, plastic, easily deformable, non-flowing material under domestic conditions: fabric, leather, artificial leather, plastic, latex, rubber, woven elastic, etc. (combinations of the listed materials are allowed). The strap material is selected in practice and must hold the cavity with the magnet and restore its shape after the removal of external physical impact (for example, when the prism stands on its edge).

[0021] The pocket (cavity) material is any durable material that allows the magnetic field to pass through (PU, PVC, artificial leather, latex, rubber, spunbond, cotton, etc.) and holds the magnet inside the cavity. The strap is made of flexible and plastic material, which means that the magnet can be located in many different points, the location of which is limited by the cavity and the length of the strap tape. The set of points of magnet location form an area in space. The set of points of contact of areas of two magnets form an area of magnet coupling.

[0022] It is possible to place several pockets with magnets on one strap or two pockets: a magnet in one pocket and a ferromagnet in the other pocket. It is allowed to use one pocket with a magnet in the center of the strap, a pair of pockets with a magnet (or a pair of pockets with a magnet and a ferromagnet) at an equal distance from the center of the strap, any number of pairs of pockets with a magnet.

[0023] Magnet 3 can move and rotate freely inside pocket (cavity) 4. When one strap approaches another strap, the magnets create a common magnetic field and under its action the magnets move and self-position inside the cavity and, when the cavities come into direct contact, form a coupling.

[0024] A neodymium magnet or a ferrite magnet can be used as a magnet. The magnet can be of any shape: a sphere, a square; a parallelepiped; a cylinder with diametrical magnetization. The best results are shown by a parallelepiped with a square cross-section and transverse magnetization and a cylinder with diametrical magnetization.

[0025] The strap tape and pockets (cavities) for magnets can be made of the same material. The tape can be hollow, i.e. form a single cavity (pocket) in which a magnet can be placed.

[0026] It is allowed to form recesses 5 (Fig. 1, 2) in the construction set part and place straps with magnets in the recesses. The recess size should be such that the pocket with the magnet is hidden in this recess.

[0027] The number of magnetic strips depends on the shape and size of the part.

[0028] This design of the device allows to reduce the cost of the construction kit parts by reducing the number of magnets used.

[0029] Below are examples of the invention's implementation.

[0030] Example 1.

[0031] An example of a part with a strap is shown in Fig. 6. We use a neodymium magnet in the form of a ball with a diameter of 8 mm. [0041] The straps with magnet are made of Oxford fabric, the width of the strap is 25 mm, the total length of the strap is 60 mm. The pocket is made of the same material in the form of a cylinder with a diameter of 5 mm. The part has a cover made of Oxford PU fabric with a filler made of EL2545 foam rubber. The thickness of the part is 50 mm. An example is shown in Fig. 11.

[0042] Example 7.

[0043] The construction set parts have a wire frame without filler and without an outer cover. Steel wire with a diameter of 5 mm and a PVC braid is used. The length of the strap with a magnet of 50 mm consists of: 15 mm (length of the strap tape) + 20 mm (length of the pocket with a magnet) + 15 mm (length of the strap tape). The part is shown in Fig. 12.

[0044] Example 8.

[0045] The straps of the part are made of Oxford PU fabric, the width of the tape is 25 mm, the length of the strap tape is 4 mm.
