Description

Method and device for uplink data transmission in a TRP environment

[0001] The present disclosure relates to improved communication technology, and more particularly, to uplink data transmission technology in a TRP (transmission and reception point) environment.

[0002] Communication networks (e.g., 5G communication networks, 6G communication networks, etc.) are being developed to provide improved communication services compared to existing communication networks (e.g., long term evolution (LTE), advanced LTE-A (LTE-A), etc.). 5G communication networks (e.g., new radio (NR) communication networks) can support frequency bands above 6 GHz as well as frequency bands below 6 GHz. That is, 5G communication networks can support frequency range (FR) 1 band and / or FR2 band. 5G communication networks can support various communication services and scenarios compared to LTE communication networks. For example, usage scenarios of 5G communication networks can include enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC), massive Machine Type Communication (mMTC), etc.

[0003] Compared to 5G, 6G communication networks can support a wider range of communication services and scenarios. 6G communication networks can meet requirements for ultra-high performance, ultra-high bandwidth, ultra-high space, ultra-high precision, ultra-intelligence, and / or ultra-reliability. 6G communication networks can support diverse and wide frequency bands and be applied to various usage scenarios (e.g., terrestrial communications, non-terrestrial communications, sidelink communications, etc.).

[0004] Meanwhile, multiple transmission and reception points (mTRPs) can be introduced into communication networks (e.g., 5G and / or 6G). mTRPs can be geographically separated. Base stations can use mTRPs to communicate with terminals. mTRP technology can be used to address quality of service (QoS) degradation issues for cell-edge terminals and / or inter-cell interference issues. mTRP technology can also be used to provide additional communication paths in environments where non-line-of-sight (NLOS) paths are limited.

[0005] In a communication network, a TRP switching operation between mTRP communication and sTRP (single-TRP) communication may be required. The TRP switching operation may mean a switching operation from mTRP communication to sTRP communication and / or a switching operation from sTRP communication to mTRP communication. In this regard, when retransmission is required in sTRP operation, the number of layers and the number of antenna ports for PUSCH (physical uplink shared channel) transmission may impose restrictions on the SFN (single frequency network) or SDM (space division multiplexing) transmission method when converting to mTRP operation. Therefore, when dynamic switching is performed from sTRP to mTRP or when switching from mTRP to sTRP, a method for performing PUSCH transmission for retransmission may need to be developed.

[0006] The purpose of the present disclosure to solve the above problems is to provide a method and device for uplink data transmission in a TRP environment for performing PUSCH (physical uplink shared channel) transmission when dynamic switching is performed from sTRP (single transmission and reception point) to mTRP (multiple-TRP) or when dynamic switching is performed from mTRP to sTRP.

[0007] In order to achieve the above object, a method for transmitting uplink data in a TRP environment according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure may include a method of a UE (user equipment), the method comprising: performing communication with a base station through a first TRP (transmission reception and point); transmitting uplink data to the base station through the first TRP; receiving a first indication from the base station indicating a retransmission request for the uplink data and at least one joint / uplink (UL) transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state to be used for retransmission; and retransmitting the uplink data to the base station through at least one TRP among a plurality of TRPs connected to the base station, the TRP being associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state indicated by the first indication.

[0008] If the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a first joint / UL TCI state, at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is the first TRP, and if the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a second joint / UL TCI state, at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a second TRP, and the step of retransmitting the uplink data to the base station may include: communicating with the support station via the first TRP if the first indication indicates the first joint / UL TCI state; and communicating with the base station via the second TRP if the first indication indicates the second joint / UL TCI state.

[0009] In the case where the first TRP communicates with the base station using one layer, the UE may further include a step of transmitting the uplink data to the base station through the first TRP without applying the first instruction.

[0010] If the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a first joint / UL TCI state, at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is the first TRP, and if the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a second joint / UL TCI state, at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a second TRP, and the step of retransmitting the uplink data to the base station may include a step of the UE communicating with the base station via the first TRP and the second TRP, if the first indication indicates the first joint / UL TCI state and the second joint / UL TCI state.

[0011] The UE can retransmit the uplink data to the base station through the first TRP and the second TRP using an SFN transmission method or an SDM (space division multiplexing) transmission method.

[0012] The total number of layers used to transmit the uplink data through the first TRP and the total number of layers used to retransmit the uplink data through the first TRP and the second TRP may be the same.

[0013] If the first instruction indicates a first transmission scheme associated with the first joint / UL TCI state and the second joint / UL TCI state, the UE retransmits the uplink data to the base station using the first transmission scheme, and if the first instruction indicates a second transmission scheme associated with the first joint / UL TCI state and the second joint / UL TCI state, the UE retransmits the uplink data to the base station using the second transmission scheme, and if the first transmission scheme is an SFN transmission scheme, the second transmission scheme may be an SDM transmission scheme.

[0014] It further includes a step of receiving a second instruction on a retransmission method of the uplink data from the base station, and the uplink data can be retransmitted to the base station according to an SFN transmission method or an SDM transmission method indicated according to the second instruction.

[0015] The UE, when receiving the uplink retransmission request and the first instruction from the base station during transmission of the uplink data through the first TRP using L layers before receiving the first instruction, retransmits the uplink data to the base station through M layers according to the SFN transmission method through the first TPR and the second TRP according to the second instruction, and retransmits the uplink data to the base station through N layers according to the SDM transmission method, wherein L, M, and N are positive integers, and M+N may be equal to L.

[0016] The uplink data retransmitted to the base station may include at least one of information about a TRP to be used for transmission of subsequent uplink data, an instruction about an SFN transmission method, or an instruction about an SDM transmission method.

[0017] The above first instruction may be indicated by an SRS resource set indicator (SRS (sounding reference signal) resource indicator, SRI) included in the DCI.

[0018] The method may further include: receiving a third instruction from the base station to deactivate the configuration scheduling of the uplink data; deactivating the configuration scheduling of the uplink data according to the third instruction; and performing retransmission of the uplink data based on dynamic scheduling with the base station.

[0019] Meanwhile, a method for transmitting uplink data in a TRP environment according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure for achieving the above object may include, as a method of a base station, the steps of: performing communication with a user equipment (UE) through a first TRP (transmission reception and point); receiving uplink data from the UE through the first TRP; transmitting a first indication to the UE indicating a retransmission request for the uplink data and at least one joint / uplink (UL) transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state to be used for retransmission; and receiving the uplink data from the UE through at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state indicated in the first indication among a plurality of TRPs connected to the base station.

[0020] The NDI (new data indicator) in the above DCI (downlink control information) can be used to indicate whether to retransmit the uplink data.

[0021] If the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a first joint / UL TCI state, a TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is the first TRP, and if the at least one or more joint / UL TCI states is a second joint / UL TCI state, a TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a second TRP, and the step of receiving the uplink data from the UE may include the step of: receiving the uplink data from the UE via the first TRP if the first indication is an indication of the first joint / UL TCI state; and receiving the uplink data from the UE via the second TRP if the first indication is an indication of the second joint / UL TCI state.

[0022] If the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a first joint / UL TCI state, at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is the first TRP, and if the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a second joint / UL TCI state, at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state is a second TRP, and the step of receiving the uplink data from the UE may include the step of receiving the uplink data from the UE via the first TRP and the second TRP, if the first indication indicates the first joint / UL TCI state and the second joint / UL TCI state.

[0023] The method further includes a step of transmitting a second instruction on a retransmission method of the uplink data to the UE, and in the step of receiving the uplink data from the UE through at least one TRP associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state among the TRPs connected to the base station according to the at least one joint / UL TCI state indicated in the first instruction, the uplink data can be received from the UE according to the SFN transmission method or the SDM transmission method indicated according to the second instruction.

[0024] Meanwhile, in order to achieve the above object, a device for transmitting uplink data in a TRP environment according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure includes a UE (user equipment), which includes at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor causes the UE to perform communication with a base station through a first transmission reception and point (TRP); transmit uplink data to the base station through the first TRP; receive a first indication from the base station indicating a retransmission request for the uplink data and at least one joint / uplink (UL) transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state to be used for retransmission; and retransmit the uplink data to the base station through at least one TRP among a plurality of TRPs connected to the base station, the TRP being associated with the at least one joint / UL TCI state indicated by the first indication.

[0027] According to the present disclosure, a base station can perform dynamic switching for sTRP and mTRP operations of a terminal using an SRS (sounding reference signal) resource indicator (SRI) in downlink control information (DCI). Furthermore, according to the present disclosure, the total number of layers for PUSCH transmission in sTRP can be the same as the total number of layers in mTRP PUSCH retransmission. Furthermore, according to the present disclosure, the terminal can transmit encoded data as is, thereby reducing additional processing time or signaling for data processing.

[0068] Meanwhile, communication nodes performing communication in a communication network may be configured as follows. The communication node illustrated in Fig. 3 may be a specific embodiment of the communication node illustrated in Fig. 2.

[0069] Figure 3 is a block diagram illustrating embodiments of communication nodes that perform communication.

[0070] Referring to FIG. 3, each of the first communication node (300a) and the second communication node (300b) may be a base station or a UE. The first communication node (300a) may transmit a signal to the second communication node (300b). The transmission processor (311) included in the first communication node (300a) may receive data (e.g., a data unit) from a data source (310). The transmission processor (311) may receive control information from the controller (316). [0071] The transmitting processor (311) may perform a processing operation on data (e.g., an encoding operation, a symbol mapping operation, etc.) to generate data symbol(s). The transmitting processor (311) may perform a processing operation on control information (e.g., an encoding operation, a symbol mapping operation, etc.) to generate control symbol(s). In addition, the transmitting processor (311) may generate synchronization / reference symbol(s) for a synchronization signal and / or a reference signal.

[0072] The Tx MIMO processor (312) may perform a spatial processing operation (e.g., a precoding operation) on data symbol(s), control symbol(s), and / or synchronization / reference symbol(s). The output (e.g., a symbol stream) of the Tx MIMO processor (312) may be provided to modulators (MODs) included in the transceivers (313a to 313t). The signals generated by the modulators (MODs) of the transceivers (313a to 313t) may be transmitted via the antennas (314a to 314t).

[0073] Signals transmitted by the first communication node (300a) may be received by antennas (364a to 364r) of the second communication node (300b). The demodulator (DEMOD) may perform a processing operation (e.g., a filtering operation, an amplification operation, a downconversion operation, a digital conversion operation) on the signal to obtain samples. The demodulator (DEMOD) may perform an additional processing operation on the samples to obtain symbols. The MIMO detector (362) may perform a MIMO detection operation on the symbols. The receiving processor (361) may perform a processing operation (e.g., a deinterleaving operation, a decoding operation) on the symbols. The output of the receiving processor (361) may be provided to a data sink (360) and a controller (366). For example, data may be provided to the data sink (360), and control information may be provided to the controller (366).

[0074] Meanwhile, the second communication node (300b) can transmit a signal to the first communication node (300a). The transmitting processor (368) included in the second communication node (300b) can receive data (e.g., data units) from a data source (367) and perform a processing operation on the data to generate data symbol(s). The transmitting processor (368) can receive control information from the controller (366) and perform a processing operation on the control information to generate control symbol(s). In addition, the transmitting processor (368) can perform a processing operation on a reference signal to generate reference symbol(s).

[0075] The Tx MIMO processor (369) may perform spatial processing operations (e.g., precoding operations) on data symbol(s), control symbol(s), and / or reference symbol(s). The output (e.g., symbol stream) of the Tx MIMO processor (369) may be provided to modulators (MODs) included in the transceivers (363a to 363t). The modulators (MODs) may perform processing operations on the symbol streams to generate modulation symbols, and may perform additional processing operations (e.g., analog conversion operations, amplification operations, filtering operations, upconversion operations) on the modulation symbols to generate signals. The signals generated by the modulators (MODs) of the transceivers (363a to 363t) may be transmitted via the antennas (364a to 364t).

[0076] Signals transmitted by the second communication node (300b) may be received by the antennas (314a to 314r) of the first communication node (300a). The signals received by the antennas (314a to 314r) may be provided to demodulators (DEMODs) included in the transceivers (313a to 313r). The MIMO detector (320) may perform a MIMO detection operation on the symbols. The receiving processor (319) may perform a processing operation (e.g., a deinterleaving operation, a decoding operation) on the symbols. The output of the receiving processor (319) may be provided to a data sink (318) and a controller (316). For example, data may be provided to the data sink (318) and control information may be provided to the controller (316).

[0077] Memories (315 and 365) can store data, control information, and / or program code. Scheduler (317) can perform scheduling operations for communication. The processors (311, 312, 319, 361, 368, 369) and controllers (316, 366) illustrated in FIG. 3 may be the processor (210) illustrated in FIG. 2 and may be used to perform the methods described in the present disclosure.

[0078] FIG. 4a is a block diagram illustrating embodiments of a transmission path, and FIG. 4b is a block diagram illustrating embodiments of a reception path.

[0079] Referring to FIGS. 4A and 4B, a transmission path (410) may be implemented in a communication node that transmits a signal, and a reception path (420) may be implemented in a communication node that receives a signal. The transmission path (410) may include a channel coding and modulation block (411), an S-to-P (serial-to-parallel) block (512), an N IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) block (413), a P-to-S (parallel-to-serial) block (414), a CP (cyclic prefix) addition block (415), and an UC (up-converter) (UC) (416). The receiving path (420) may include a DC (down-converter) (421), a CP removal block (422), an S-to-P block (423), an N FFT block (424), a P-to-S block (425), and a channel decoding and demodulation block (426). Here, N may be a natural number.

[0080] In the transmission path (410), information bits may be input to a channel coding and modulation block (411). The channel coding and modulation block (411) may perform a coding operation (e.g., a low-density parity check (LDPC) coding operation, a polar coding operation, etc.) and a modulation operation (e.g., a quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK), a quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), etc.) on the information bits. The output of the channel coding and modulation block (411) may be a sequence of modulation symbols.

[0081] The S-to-P block (412) can convert modulation symbols in the frequency domain into parallel symbol streams to generate N parallel symbol streams. N can be an IFFT size or an FFT size. The N IFFT block (413) can perform an IFFT operation on the N parallel symbol streams to generate signals in the time domain. The P-to-S block (414) can convert the output (e.g., parallel signals) of the N IFFT block (413) into a serial signal to generate a serial signal.

[0082] The CP addition block (415) can insert a CP into a signal. The UC (416) can up-convert the frequency of the output of the CP addition block (415) to an RF (radio frequency) frequency. Additionally, the output of the CP addition block (415) can be filtered at the baseband before up-conversion.

[0083] A signal transmitted from a transmission path (410) may be input to a reception path (420). An operation in the reception path (420) may be the reverse operation of the operation in the transmission path (410). A DC (421) may down-convert the frequency of the received signal to a baseband frequency. A CP removal block (422) may remove a CP from a signal. The output of the CP removal block (422) may be a serial signal. An S-to-P block (423) may convert the serial signal into parallel signals. An N FFT block (424) may perform an FFT algorithm to generate N parallel signals. A P-to-S block (425) may convert the parallel signals into a sequence of modulation symbols. A channel decoding and demodulation block (426) may perform a demodulation operation on the modulation symbols and perform a decoding operation on the result of the demodulation operation to restore data.

[0084] In FIGS. 4A and 4B , Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and Inverse DFT (IDFT) may be used instead of FFT and IFFT. Each of the blocks (e.g., components) in FIGS. 4A and 4B may be implemented by at least one of hardware, software, or firmware. For example, some of the blocks in FIGS. 4A and 4B may be implemented by software, and the remaining blocks may be implemented by hardware or a “combination of hardware and software.” In FIGS. 4A and 4B , a block may be subdivided into multiple blocks, multiple blocks may be integrated into a single block, some blocks may be omitted, and blocks supporting other functions may be added.

[0085] Figure 5 is a conceptual diagram illustrating embodiments of a system frame in a communication system.

[0086] Referring to FIG. 5, time resources in a communication system can be divided into frame units. For example, system frames can be set consecutively in the time domain of the communication system. The length of a system frame can be 10 ms (milliseconds). The system frame number (SFN) can be set from #0 to #1023. In this case, 1024 system frames can be repeated in the time domain of the communication system. For example, the SFN of the system frame after system frame #1023 can be #0.

[0087] A system frame may include two half frames. A half frame may be 5 ms long. A half frame located at the beginning of the system frame may be referred to as "half frame #0," and a half frame located at the end of the system frame may be referred to as "half frame #1." A system frame may include 10 subframes. A subframe may be 1 ms long. The 10 subframes within a system frame may be referred to as "subframes #0-9."

[0088] Figure 6 is a conceptual diagram illustrating embodiments of subframes in a communication system.

[0089] Referring to FIG. 6, one subframe may include n slots, where n may be a natural number. Accordingly, one subframe may be composed of one or more slots.

[0090] Figure 7 is a conceptual diagram illustrating embodiments of slots in a communication system.

[0091] Referring to FIG. 7, a single slot may include one or more symbols. A single slot illustrated in FIG. 7 may include 14 symbols. The length of a slot may vary depending on the number and length of symbols contained in the slot. Alternatively, the length of a slot may vary depending on numerology.

[0092] In a communication system, the numerology applied to physical signals and channels may be variable. The numerology may be variable to meet various technical requirements of the communication system. In a communication system applying CP (cyclic prefix)-based OFDM waveform technology, the numerology may include subcarrier spacing and CP length (or CP type). Table 1 may be a first embodiment of a method for configuring a numerology for a CP-OFDM-based communication system. At least some of the numerologies in Table 1 may be supported depending on the frequency band in which the communication system operates. In addition, the communication system may additionally support numerologies not listed in Table 1.

[0093] Subcarrier spacing 15kHz 30kHz 60kHz 120kHz 240kHz 480kHz OFDM symbol length [μs] 66.733.316.78.34.22.1 CP length [μs] 4.762.381.190.600.300.151 Number of OFDM symbols in ms 142856112224448

[0094] When the subcarrier spacing is 15 kHz (e.g., μ=0), the slot length can be 1 ms. In this case, one system frame can contain 10 slots. When the subcarrier spacing is 30 kHz (e.g., μ=1), the slot length can be 0.5 ms. In this case, one system frame can contain 20 slots. When the subcarrier spacing is 60 kHz (e.g., μ=2), the slot length can be 0.25 ms. In this case, one system frame can contain 40 slots. When the subcarrier spacing is 120 kHz (e.g., μ=3), the slot length can be 0.125 ms. In this case, one system frame can contain 80 slots. When the subcarrier spacing is 240 kHz (e.g., μ=4), the slot length can be 0.0625 ms. In this case, one system frame can contain 160 slots.

[0095] A symbol may be configured as a downlink (DL) symbol, a flexible (FL) symbol, or an uplink (UL) symbol. A slot consisting solely of DL symbols may be referred to as a "DL slot," a slot consisting solely of FL symbols may be referred to as an "FL slot," and a slot consisting solely of UL symbols may be referred to as a "UL slot."

[0096] The slot format can be semi-statically configured by higher layer signaling (e.g., RRC signaling). Information indicating the semi-static slot format can be included in the system information, and the semi-static slot format can be configured cell-specifically. In addition, the semi-static slot format can be additionally configured for each terminal through terminal-specific higher layer signaling (e.g., RRC signaling). The flexible symbol of the cell-specifically configured slot format can be overridden to a downlink symbol or an uplink symbol by terminal-specific higher layer signaling. In addition, the slot format can be dynamically indicated by physical layer signaling (e.g., a slot format indicator (SFI) included in DCI). The semi-statically configured slot format can be overridden by a dynamically indicated slot format. For example, the semi-statically configured flexible symbol can be overridden to a downlink symbol or an uplink symbol by the SFI.

[0097] The reference signal may be a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS), a sounding reference signal (SRS), a demodulation-reference signal (DM-RS), a phase tracking-reference signal (PT-RS), etc. The channel may be a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH), a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH), etc. In the present disclosure, a control channel may mean a PDCCH, a PUCCH, or a PSCCH, and a data channel may mean a PDSCH, a PUSCH, or a PSSCH.

[0098] Figure 8 is a conceptual diagram illustrating embodiments of time-frequency resources in a communication system.

[0099] Referring to FIG. 8, a resource consisting of one symbol (e.g., an OFDM symbol) in the time domain and one subcarrier in the frequency domain may be defined as a "RE (resource element)". Resources consisting of one OFDM symbol in the time domain and K subcarriers in the frequency domain may be defined as a "REG (resource element group)". A REG may include K REs. A REG may be used as a basic unit for resource allocation in the frequency domain. K may be a natural number. For example, K may be 12. N may be a natural number. In the slot illustrated in FIG. 7, N may be 14. N OFDM symbols may be used as a basic unit for resource allocation in the time domain.

[0100] In the present disclosure, RB may mean CRB (common RB). Alternatively, RB may mean PRB or VRB (virtual RB). In a communication system, CRB may mean RB that constitutes a set of consecutive RBs (e.g., a common RB grid) based on a reference frequency (e.g., point A). Carriers and / or bandwidth portions may be arranged on the common RB grid. That is, the carrier and / or bandwidth portions may be composed of CRB(s). RBs or CRBs that constitute the bandwidth portions may be referred to as PRBs, and within the bandwidth portions, the CRB index may be appropriately converted to the PRB index.

[0101] Downlink data can be transmitted via the PDSCH. The base station can transmit PDSCH configuration information (e.g., scheduling information) to the terminal via the PDCCH. The terminal can obtain the PDSCH configuration information by receiving the PDCCH (e.g., downlink control information (DCI)). For example, the PDSCH configuration information can include the MCS (modulation coding scheme) used for transmitting and receiving the PDSCH, time resource information of the PDSCH, frequency resource information of the PDSCH, feedback resource information for the PDSCH, etc. The PDSCH can refer to a radio resource through which downlink data is transmitted and received. Alternatively, the PDSCH can refer to the downlink data itself. The PDCCH can refer to a radio resource through which downlink control information (e.g., DCI) is transmitted and received. Alternatively, the PDCCH can refer to the downlink control information itself.

[0102] A terminal can perform a monitoring operation on the PDCCH to receive a PDSCH transmitted from a base station. The base station can inform the terminal of the configuration information for the PDCCH monitoring operation using a higher layer message (e.g., an RRC (radio resource control) message). The configuration information for the PDCCH monitoring operation can include CORESET (control resource set) information and search space information.

[0103] CORESET information may include PDCCH DMRS (demodulation reference signal) information, PDCCH precoding information, PDCCH occasion information, etc. The PDCCH DMRS may be a DMRS used to demodulate the PDCCH. The PDCCH occasion may be a region where the PDCCH can exist. That is, the PDCCH occasion may be a region where DCI can be transmitted. The PDCCH occasion may be referred to as a PDCCH candidate. The PDCCH occasion information may include time resource information and frequency resource information of the PDCCH occasion. In the time domain, the length of the PDCCH occasion may be indicated in symbol units. In the frequency domain, the size of the PDCCH occasion may be indicated in RB units (e.g., in PRB (physical resource block) units or CRB (common resource block) units).

[0104] The search space information may include a coreset identifier (ID) associated with the search space, a period of PDCCH monitoring, and / or an offset. Each of the PDCCH monitoring period and offset may be indicated on a slot-by-slot basis. In addition, the search space information may further include an index of the symbol at which the PDCCH monitoring operation begins.

[0105] A base station can configure a bandwidth part (BWP) for downlink communication. The BWP can be configured differently for each terminal. The base station can inform the terminal of the BWP configuration information using higher layer signaling. The higher layer signaling can mean "transmission operation of system information" and / or "transmission operation of RRC (radio resource control) message." The number of BWPs configured for one terminal can be one or more. The terminal can receive BWP configuration information from the base station and check the BWP(s) configured by the base station based on the BWP configuration information. When multiple BWPs are configured for downlink communication, the base station can activate one or more BWPs among the multiple BWPs. The base station can transmit the configuration information of the activated BWP(s) to the terminal using at least one of higher layer signaling, a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE), or DCI. The base station can perform downlink communication using the activated BWP(s). The terminal can identify the activated BWP(s) by receiving configuration information of the activated BWP(s) from the base station, and perform a downlink reception operation in the activated BWP(s).

[0106] Meanwhile, a communication system (e.g., NR communication system, 5G communication system, 6G communication system) may support usage scenarios such as enhanced Mobile BroadBand (eMBB), Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC), and massive Machine Type Communication (mMTC). A communication system (e.g., a communication network) may support transmission and reception point (TRP) technology (e.g., multiple TRP (mTRP) technology and / or single TRP (sTRP) technology). A communication system supporting the TRP technology may be referred to as a TRP system (e.g., mTRP system and / or sTRP system). In the present disclosure, TRP may have a meaning including sTRP and / or mTRP, and TRP may mean sTRP or mTRP depending on the context. TRP may mean an antenna set, an antenna group, and / or an antenna array. A TRP may be associated with a CORESET and / or a beam (e.g., a beam group).

[0107] mTRP technology may fall under the category of MIMO technology. mTRP may have characteristics (e.g., level characteristics) of macrocells, small cells, picocells, and / or femtocells. mTRP can perform data transmission for a single terminal. In a channel (e.g., a link) with uneven channel conditions due to obstacles and / or interference, mTRP can attenuate the effects of the obstacles and / or interference. mTRP can improve the data transmission rate for terminals located at cell edge areas.

[0108] mTRP-based communication can be performed using either coherent joint transmission (CJT) or non-CJT (NCJT) methods. In CJT, the base station can obtain channel information between each mTRP and the terminal and perform preprocessing on the data based on this channel information. In this case, the overhead associated with transmitting channel information may increase, and synchronization constraints between TRPs may arise. In NCJT, the base station may not need to know the channel information between each mTRP and the terminal. mTRPs can transmit data to the terminal without performing preprocessing operations such as phase compensation. The complexity of NCJT may be lower than that of CJT.

[0109] NCJT-based mTRP communication can be performed based on a single DCI scheme or a multiple DCI scheme. In the single DCI scheme, PDSCHs transmitted by an mTRP can be scheduled by a single DCI. A single DCI can be transmitted by one of the TRPs among the mTRPs. In the multiple DCI scheme, the PDSCHs transmitted by each TRP can be scheduled by the DCI transmitted by each TRP. For example, the first PDSCH transmitted by the first TRP can be scheduled by the first DCI transmitted by the first TRP, and the second PDSCH transmitted by the second TRP can be scheduled by the second DCI transmitted by the second TRP. In other words, multiple PDSCHs can be scheduled using multiple DCIs.

[0110] In a single DCI scheme, a UE can expect to receive PDSCHs transmitted by different TRPs over the same time and frequency resources and across different layers. Alternatively, the UE can expect to receive PDSCHs transmitted by different TRPs over the same frequency resources and across the same layer but across different time resources (e.g., across different time domains). Alternatively, the UE can expect to receive PDSCHs transmitted by different TRPs over the same time resources and across the same layer but across different frequency resources (e.g., across different frequency domains).

[0111] In a multi-DCI scheme, scheduling of PDSCHs for each TRP can be performed by a separate DCI. The PDSCHs scheduled by multiple DCIs may fully overlap or partially overlap. Alternatively, the PDSCHs scheduled by multiple DCIs may not overlap. In both single-DCI and multi-DCI schemes, the DCI may include transmission configuration indicator (TCI) status information for the PDSCH.

[0112] The indication / setting of the TCI state for a terminal may be interpreted as the indication / setting of a beam (e.g., a transmit beam and / or a receive beam). In other words, the TCI state may have a meaning corresponding to the beam. From the perspective of DL (downlink) communication, the setting of the TCI state may mean the setting of QCL (quasi co-location). From the perspective of UL (uplink) communication, the setting of the TCI state may mean the setting of a spatial filter. The unified TCI state may indicate (e.g., set) a common beam regardless of DL communication and UL communication. Alternatively, the unified TCI state may indicate (e.g., set) a common beam for each of DL communication and UL communication. The unified TCI may be referred to as UTCI.

[0113] Enhancements (e.g., PDCCH enhancements) may be implemented to improve the reliability and / or robustness of mTRP communications. Deployment scenarios for PDCCH enhancements can be categorized into single frequency network (SFN) and non-SFN (NSFN) scenarios.

[0114] In the SFN scheme, different TRPs or different panels can transmit the same PDCCH using the same resources (e.g., the same time resources, the same frequency resources, and / or the same spatial resources). In other words, all TRPs or all panels can transmit the PDCCH using the same DMRS configuration, the same DMRS location, and / or the same DMRS sequence. At this time, the TCI states for the reception perspective of the TRPs or panels can be implicitly set differently. The above embodiment can be performed based on multiple TCI states of the CORESET. There may be synchronization constraints for ideal or near-ideal backhaul between TRPs.

[0115] In the NSFN scheme, the PDCCH generated from each TRP can be multiplexed in the time domain and / or frequency domain, and the multiplexed PDCCH can be transmitted to the terminal. The scheme may be an mTRP-based PDCCH repetition scheme. In the NSFN scheme, the same number of bits as the encoded bits transmitted through one PDCCH generated from each TRP can be divided for each TRP, and the bits (e.g., encoded bits) for each TRP can be transmitted through different PDCCH candidates. The scheme may be an sTRP-based PDCCH transmission scheme.

[0116] In the mTRP-based PDCCH repetition scheme, the PDCCH can be repeatedly generated as many times as the number of TRPs, and the PDCCH can be transmitted in the same search space (e.g., search spaces having the same index) within different search space sets having the same number of PDCCH candidates. At this time, the search space sets can exist within the same CORESET or different CORESETs. Since one TCI state can be associated with each CORESET, when the PDCCH is transmitted in different search spaces within the same CORESET, only one TCI state can be indicated (e.g., set) for the PDCCHs transmitted in the different search spaces. In this case, the UE can receive the PDCCH from one TRP at a specific time.

[0117] When a PDCCH is transmitted in the same search space within different CORESETs, the UE can implicitly expect to receive the PDCCH from either the sTRP or the mTRP, depending on the number of TCI states (e.g., TCI states indicated or configured by the base station). In this case, a single PDCCH can be split as many times as the number of TRPs, and the split PDCCHs can be transmitted on different PDCCH candidates. At this time, the aggregation level and the combined aggregation level can be the same. In the above embodiment, the PDCCH candidates can be assigned to different CORESETs. The payload size for the final distributed PDCCH combination can be the same as the payload size of the PDCCH transmitted in the sTRP. Therefore, in terms of decoding complexity, the sTRP-based PDCCH transmission scheme can be advantageous over the mTRP-based PDCCH repetition scheme.

[0118] A terminal can perform mTRP communication or sTRP communication with a base station. mTRP communication between the terminal and the base station can be performed through an mTRP associated with the base station. sTRP communication between the terminal and the base station can be performed through an sTRP associated with the base station. mTRP communication may be referred to as first TRP communication, and sTRP communication may be referred to as second TRP communication. Alternatively, mTRP communication may be referred to as second TRP communication, and sTRP communication may be referred to as first TRP communication. "The terminal performs first TRP communication with the base station" may mean "the terminal performs mTRP communication or sTRP communication with the base station through one or more TRPs associated with the base station." "The terminal performs second TRP communication with the base station" may mean "the terminal performs sTRP communication or mTRP communication with the base station through one or more TRPs associated with the base station."

[0119] In a communication system, integrated TCI can be supported. A base station can transmit information about a pool (e.g., a list) of TCI states to a terminal using RRC signaling. The terminal can receive information about a pool (e.g., a list) of TCI states through RRC signaling from the base station. The base station can set type information about the TCI state to the terminal. The type information can be a joint DL / UL beam indication or a separate DL / UL beam indication. A joint DL / UL beam indication can be referred to as a 'joint indication or joint type.' An independent DL / UL beam indication can be referred to as an 'independent indication or independent type.'

[0120] When a joint type (e.g., joint indication) is set, TCI states (e.g., one TCI state) for DL and UL may be set. In other words, DL TCI state setting and UL TCI state setting may be the same. The UE may expect that the TCI state indicated by the information element included in the PDSCH configuration information applies to both DL (e.g., DL signal / channel) and UL (e.g., UL signal / channel). The signal / channel may refer to a signal and / or a channel. When an independent type (e.g., independent indication) is set, TCI states for DL and UL may be set respectively. In other words, DL TCI state setting may be distinguished from UL TCI state setting. The UE may expect that the UL TCI state indicated by the information element included in the UL BWP configuration information applies to UL (e.g., UL signal / channel). The UL signal / channel may include a PUSCH, a PUCCH, and / or an SRS.

[0121] After the pool (e.g., pool list) for TCI states is configured (e.g., indicated) by RRC signaling, the base station can use DCI (e.g., DCI signaling) to indicate the TCI state (e.g., application of the TCI state). Due to the constraint of the DCI size (e.g., bits in the DCI field), the base station can preferentially activate candidate TCI state(s) using MAC signaling (e.g., MAC CE signaling). In other words, as many (e.g., maximum number) candidate TCI state(s) as can be indicated (e.g., configured) via DCI can be preferentially activated by MAC CE.

[0122] For the activated candidate TCI state(s), the DCI may include codepoints corresponding to a single TCI state or two TCI states, depending on the TCI state type (e.g., joint type or independent type). If the joint type is set, the codepoints corresponding to a single TCI state may be conveyed by the DCI. If the independent type is set, the codepoints corresponding to two TCI states may be conveyed by the DCI. A unified TCI (e.g., a unified TCI framework) designed for sTRP operation (e.g., sTRP communication) may be applied (e.g., extended) to mTRP operation (e.g., mTRP communication).

[0123] An integrated TCI state can be configured (e.g., applied) to sTRP and mTRP. A switching operation (e.g., dynamic switching operation) between sTRP operations and mTRP operations can be supported. A switching operation between sTRP operations and mTRP operations can be referred to as a "TRP switching operation." A TRP switching operation can mean a "switching operation from an mTRP operation to an sTRP operation," a "switching operation from an sTRP operation to an mTRP operation," and / or a "switching operation from a specific TRP operation to another TRP operation." A TCI selection field can be introduced to configure the TCI state of a PDSCH. DCI can include the TCI selection field. The TCI selection field can be used by a UE to configure a reception beam (e.g., a TCI state) of a PDSCH as well as a TRP switching operation (e.g., an indication of a TRP switching operation). A TRP switching operation for other signals / channels other than the PDSCH may be required. The TCI field included in the DCI may be used to set TCI state(s) and / or initiate TRP switching operations (e.g., instructing a TRP switching operation). In other words, the TCI field included in the DCI may or may not be used for TRP switching operations.

[0124] The base station can actively select (e.g., use) either sTRP or mTRP operation depending on the channel environment. In this case, resource efficiency can be improved. TRP switching operation may be required not only for PDSCH but also for other signals / channels (e.g., other DL signals / channels).

[0125] A TRP switching operation may be supported in a communication system. The TRP switching operation may mean a dynamic TRP switching operation. A base station may transmit an instruction of a TRP switching operation to a terminal, and the instruction of the TRP switching operation may be transmitted using at least one of an RRC message, MAC CE, or DCI. The terminal may receive an instruction of the TRP switching operation from the base station. The base station and / or the terminal may perform the TRP switching operation based on the instruction of the TRP switching operation. For example, the base station and / or the terminal may switch from mTRP communication to sTRP communication and perform sTRP communication. Alternatively, the base station and / or the terminal may switch from sTRP communication to mTRP communication and perform mTRP communication. The instruction of the TRP switching operation may mean a triggering command of the TRP switching operation.

[0126] The base station can actively select (e.g., use) sTRP or mTRP communication depending on the channel environment. In this case, resource utilization efficiency can be improved. The TRP switching operation can be applied not only to PDSCH transmission but also to other channel transmissions. The channel can be a DL channel and / or an UL channel. Depending on the context, the channel can be interpreted as a "channel," a "signal," or "channel and signal." Each TCI and TCI state can be interpreted as an integrated TCI and an integrated TCI state, depending on the context.

[0127] A terminal may transmit a request for a TRP switching operation to a base station based on the status of a DL channel and / or an UL channel. The base station may receive a request for a TRP switching operation from the terminal. The base station may transmit an instruction for a TRP switching operation to the terminal in consideration of the request of the terminal. Alternatively, the terminal may not transmit a request for a TRP switching operation to the base station, and the base station may transmit an instruction for a TRP switching operation to the terminal without considering the request of the terminal. The terminal may receive an instruction for a TRP switching operation from the base station and perform the TRP switching operation based on the instruction.

[0128] Meanwhile, when retransmission is required in sTRP communication, the number of layers and antenna ports for PUSCH (physical uplink shared channel) transmission may impose restrictions on the SFN (single frequency network) or SDM (space division multiplexing) transmission method when converted to mTRP communication. Therefore, when dynamic switching occurs from sTRP to mTRP or from mTRP to sTRP communication, it may be necessary to develop a method for performing PUSCH transmission for retransmission.

[0129] The present disclosure may propose an operational method that enables a terminal to transmit and receive uplink data / signals with an sTRP or mTRP. At this time, a base station may instruct the terminal to perform communication with the sTRP or mTRP through a single DCI. Accordingly, the terminal may receive a single DCI from the base station containing instruction information instructing the terminal to perform communication with the sTRP or mTRP. When the terminal performs UL communication with the mTRP in the SFN or SDM manner, simultaneous transmission across multi-panel (STxMP) may be assumed.

[0130] To perform the above operation, the base station may use a field indicating a TCI state within one DCI. Additionally, the base station may use an SRS resource set indicator (SRS (sounding reference signal) resource indicator, SRI) within another DCI. Alternatively, to perform the above operation, the base station may use a field indicating a TCI state and an SRS resource set indicator (SRI) within one DCI.

[0131] At this time, the base station can transmit an SRS resource set indicator of '00' to the terminal. Then, the terminal can receive the SRS resource set indicator of '00' from the base station and use the first indicated joint / UL TCI state for PUSCH transmission. In other words, the terminal can transmit the PUSCH to the base station through the sTRP (i.e., the first TRP) associated with the first indicated joint / UL TCI state.

[0132] Alternatively, the base station may transmit an SRS resource set indicator of '01' to the terminal. Then, the terminal may receive the SRS resource set indicator of '01' from the base station and use the second indicated joint / UL TCI state for PUSCH transmission. In other words, the terminal may transmit the PUSCH to the supporting station through the sTRP associated with the second indicated joint / UL TCI state (i.e., the second TRP).

[0133] Alternatively, the base station may transmit an SRS resource set indicator of '10' to the terminal. Then, the terminal may receive the SRS resource set indicator of '10' from the base station and use the first and second indicated joint / UL TCI states for PUSCH transmission. In other words, the terminal may transmit the PUSCH to the base station through two TRPs (i.e., the first TRP and the second TRP) associated with the first and second indicated joint / UL TCI states.

[0134] Accordingly, the base station can perform dynamic switching for the sTRP and mTRP communications of the terminal using the SRS set indicator field included in the DCI. During mTRP communications, the terminal can perform transmission in the form of SDM or SFN. Embodiments #1 and #2 below may be embodiments for a retransmission method and operation when both dynamic switching and retransmission between sTRP communications and single DCI-based mTRP communications are indicated via DCI. Embodiment #3 may be an embodiment for an operation method for single DCI-based mTRP communications for configured PUSCH transmission.

[0135] [Example #1]

[0136] A terminal can transmit a PUSCH to a base station via sTRP. Then, the base station can receive the PUSCH from the terminal via sTRP. Then, the base station can request retransmission to the terminal via DCI. In addition, the base station can transmit an instruction to the terminal to switch to mTRP communication via DCI. Accordingly, the terminal can receive a retransmission request from the base station via DCI and an instruction to switch to mTRP communication from the base station via DCI. In this case, the terminal can perform retransmission as follows. In other words, the base station can instruct the terminal to retransmit by not toggling the NDI (new data indicator) in the DCI. In addition, the base station can instruct the terminal to perform mTRP communication with two TRPs by setting the SRS resource set indicator to '10'. In this case, the terminal can perform retransmission as follows.

[0137] Method #1: The base station can instruct the terminal to retransmit by not toggling the NDI within the DCI. Accordingly, the terminal can receive the DCI containing the non-toggled NDI from the base station through sTRP. In this case, the terminal may not support mTRP switching. In other words, the terminal can maintain sTRP communication regardless of the value of the SRS resource set indicator. The terminal may not expect an instruction to switch from sTRP communication to mTRP communication if the NDI is not toggled. In other words, the terminal can retransmit the PUSCH to the base station through sTRP. Conversely, the terminal can switch from sTRP communication to mTRP communication if there is no instruction to retransmit from the base station.

[0138] Method #2: The base station can instruct the terminal to retransmit by not toggling the NDI within the DCI. Accordingly, the terminal can receive the DCI containing the non-toggled NDI from the base station through sTRP. Furthermore, the base station can instruct the terminal to perform mTRP communication with two TRPs by setting the SRS resource set indicator to '10'. Accordingly, the terminal can receive the SRS resource set indicator indicating '10' from the base station. Then, the terminal can perform mTRP communication with two TRPs according to the value of '10' in the SRS resource set indicator.

[0139] The terminal can perform mTRP communication as in (1) to (4) below, depending on the number of layers set when transmitting PUSCH via sTRP. The following methods may be methods to maintain the total number of lasers for PUSCH transmission in sTRP communication and the total number of layers when retransmitting PUSCH in mTRP communication the same. This can result in reducing additional processing time or signaling for data processing by allowing the terminal to transmit already encoded data as is.

[0140] (1) The terminal can receive instructions for PUSCH retransmission and mTRP communication from the base station during 1-layer sTRP transmission. In this case, the terminal can only perform 1-layer SFN operations.

[0141] (2) The terminal can receive instructions for PUSCH retransmission and mTRP communication from the base station during 2-layer sTRP transmission. In this case, the terminal can perform 2-layer SFN or 1-layer SDM communication with each TRP.

[0142] (3) The terminal can receive instructions for PUSCH retransmission and mTRP communication from the base station during 3-layer sTRP transmission. In this case, the terminal can perform 3-layer SFN or 1-layer and 2-layer SDM communication with each TRP.

[0143] (4) The terminal can receive instructions for PUSCH retransmission and mTRP communication from the base station during 4-layer sTRP transmission. In this case, the terminal can perform 4-layer SFN or 2-layer SDM communication for each TRP.

[0144] The base station can instruct a terminal in sTRP communication to retransmit PUSCH and switch to mTRP communication. Accordingly, the terminal can receive an instruction from the base station to retransmit PUSCH and switch to mTRP communication. In addition, the base station can instruct the terminal via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof as to which transmission method between SFN and SDM to use. Then, the terminal can receive from the base station an instruction as to which transmission method between SFN and SDM to use via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof. Accordingly, the terminal can perform transmission according to the transmission method received from the base station.

[0145] As an example of indicating with a combination of RRC, MAC-CE, and DCI, the base station can configure RRC or MAC-CE to use either SDM or SFN, and can indicate '10' as the SRS resource set indicator in the DCI. In this case, the terminal can operate to perform mTRP communication in the SDM or SFN manner configured by RRC or MAC-CE. Alternatively, the base station can define and operate an indication field indicating a transmission method for SFN / SDM in the DCI. Alternatively, the base station can indicate that both the first and second indicated joint / UL TCI states are to be used for PUSCH transmission by the SRS resource set indicators '10' and '11' in the DCI.

[0146] At this time, the base station can define and operate to indicate SDM transmission for '10' and SFN transmission for '11'. Or conversely, the base station can define and operate to indicate SDM transmission for '11' and SFN transmission for '10'. Alternatively, the base station can be configured to use either SFN or SDM method with RRC or MAC-CE. Alternatively, the base station can be configured to use both SFN and SDM methods with RRC or MAC-CE. If either SFN or SDM method is configured to be used, the terminal can perform mTRP operation in the method configured with RRC or MAC-CE if the SRS resource set indicator indicates '10'.

[0147] If both SFN and SDM modes are configured to be used, the base station can indicate that both the first and second indicated joint / UL TCI states are to be used for PUSCH transmission by using the SRS resource set indicators '10' and '11' in the DCI. At this time, the base station can define and operate so that '10' indicates SDM transmission and '11' indicates SFN transmission. Or conversely, the base station can define and operate so that '11' indicates SDM transmission and '10' indicates SFN transmission. Alternatively, if PUSCH retransmission and switching to mTRP communication are indicated in an sTRP communication situation, the base station can fix and operate the transmission method in the SFN mode for stable PUSCH transmission. Alternatively, if PUSCH retransmission and switching to mTRP communication are indicated in an sTRP communication situation, the base station can set and operate so that it operates in the SFN mode when the number of retransmissions is greater than or equal to the configured number. At this time, the base station can instruct the terminal on the set number of retransmissions using RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof.

[0148] In the example of the above instruction method, when retransmission and mTRP communication are indicated during 1-layer sTRP transmission, the base station can be configured to always operate in SFN transmission mode. In other words, if RRC, MAC-CE, or DCI-based SDM is indicated, the terminal can ignore the instruction and transmit in SFN transmission mode. This can secure diversity gains for retransmitted data, enabling stable data transmission and reception.

[0149] Alternatively, in conjunction with the above operations, in a situation where switching to PUSCH retransmission and mTRP operation is instructed in an sTRP operation situation, and retransmission is set to SDM to transmit a PUSCH, if the number of retransmissions of the corresponding PUSCH exceeds a set specific number of times, the transmission method may be changed to the SFN method to perform PUSCH transmission. At this time, the set number of retransmissions may be indicated by RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof.

[0150] Method #3: The SFN method can be used when switching from a 1-layer sTRP transmission situation where retransmission occurs to mTRP communication. Since the possible transmission methods for 1-layer sTRP transmission to mTRP communication are limited, to simplify communication, 1-layer sTRP transmission can be operated to maintain sTRP transmission and perform retransmissions as in Method #1. In this case, 2-layer or higher sTRP transmission can be operated to follow Method #2 for retransmissions and mTRP communication.

[0151] [Example #2]

[0152] A terminal can transmit PUSCH through mTRP. In this case, the base station can instruct the terminal to request retransmission and switch to sTRP through DCI. In this case, the terminal can receive the retransmission request and the instruction to switch to sTRP from the base station through DCI. In other words, the base station can instruct the terminal to retransmit by not toggling the new data indicator (NDI) in the DCI. In addition, the base station can operate in the following manner when the SRS resource set indicator indicates '00' or '01' to indicate sTRP communication with a single TRP.

[0153] Method #1: The base station can instruct the terminal to retransmit by not toggling the NDI within the DCI. Accordingly, the terminal can receive the DCI containing the non-toggled NDI from the base station through sTRP. In this case, the terminal may not support sTRP switching. In other words, the terminal can maintain mTRP communication regardless of the value of the SRS resource set indicator. If the NDI is not toggled, the terminal may not expect an instruction to switch from mTRP to sTRP communication. In other words, the terminal can perform retransmission to the base station through mTRP. Conversely, if there is no instruction to retransmit from the base station, the terminal can switch from mTRP to sTRP.

[0154] Method #2: The base station can instruct the terminal to retransmit by not toggling the NDI within the DCI. Accordingly, the terminal can receive the DCI containing the non-toggled NDI from the base station through mTRP. In addition, the base station can perform sTRP communication depending on the value of the SRS resource set indicator (SRSI) of '01' or '10'. In this case, the total number of layers used for PUSCH transmission can be set and operated through mTRP to remain the same during PUSCH transmission.

[0155] As suggested in Examples #1 and #2, when both dynamic switching and retransmission between sTRP and mTRP are indicated via DCI, the total number of layers for PUSCH transmission in sTRP and mTRP may always be kept the same as the total number of layers in the previous transmission, for ease of implementation and to minimize additional data processing time or signaling.

[0156] Therefore, when the number of layers is indicated through up to two SRI and TPMI fields in mTRP communication, the total number of layers indicated through the fields may be the same as the total number of layers for PUSCH transmission through the previous sTRP communication.

[0157] [Example #3]

[0158] FIG. 9 is a flowchart illustrating a first embodiment of type-2 configuration grant-based PUSCH transmission.

[0159] Referring to FIG. 9, a base station may transmit an RRC message including configured scheduling (CS) information to a terminal (S910). Then, the terminal may receive the RRC message including the configured scheduling information from the base station. In addition, the base station may transmit a DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the configured scheduling information to the terminal via a PDCCH (S920). Accordingly, the terminal may receive the DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the configured scheduling information. The terminal may transmit uplink data to the base station on the resource indicated by the configured scheduling information (S930). Then, the base station may receive uplink data from the terminal. In this way, the base station may configure the configured scheduling information to the terminal via RRC signaling and activate the CS using the DCI. Then, the terminal may periodically transmit a PUSCH to the base station via the configured time-frequency resource (S940, S950). At this time, the DCI that activates CS can be masked with CS-RNTI (CS-radio-network temporary identifier).

[0160] FIG. 10 is a flowchart illustrating a first embodiment of type-2 configuration grant-based PUSCH transmission in a single DCI-based mTRP communication.

[0161] Referring to FIG. 10, the base station can set scheduling information to the terminal via RRC signaling (S1010). Furthermore, the base station can transmit DCI, including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information, to the terminal via TRP#0 (S1020). Accordingly, the terminal can receive DCI, including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information. Here, the DCI may include SRI. At this time, the base station can at least indicate the SRS resource set indicator as '10' or '11' for transmission via mTRP.

[0162] The base station can instruct the terminal to transmit in which method among SFN / SDM is to be used, via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof. Then, the terminal can receive from the base station an instruction to transmit in which method among SFN / SDM is to be used, via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof. Accordingly, the terminal can perform CS-PUSCH transmission according to the transmission method received from the base station (S1030-1, S1030-2, S1040-1, S1040-2, S1050-1, S1050-2). In the mTRP operation, the method for instructing SFN and SDM can be operated by simply applying, modifying, extending, or combining the method #2 of Embodiment #1. If '11' is reserved, the terminal may not expect to receive '11'.

[0163] FIG. 11 is a flowchart illustrating a first embodiment of type-2 configuration grant-based PUSCH transmission in single DCI-based sTRP communication.

[0164] Referring to FIG. 11, the base station can set scheduling information to the terminal via RRC signaling (S1110). Furthermore, the base station can transmit DCI, including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information, to the terminal via TRP#0 (S1120). Accordingly, the terminal can receive DCI, including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information. Here, the DCI can include SRI. At this time, the base station can at least indicate the SRS resource set indicator as '00' or '01' for transmission via sTRP.

[0165] At this time, the base station can indicate that both the first and second indicated joint / UL TCI states in the DCI SRS resource set indicators '00' and '01' are to be used for PUSCH transmission. In other words, if the SRS resource set indicator value is '00', the first joint / UL TCI state value among the two joint / UL TCI states indicated by the DCI can be applied to perform CS-PUSCH transmission, and if the SRS resource set indicator value is '01', the second joint / UL TCI state value can be applied to perform CS-PUSCH transmission (S1120 to S1150).

[0166] In an environment supporting mTRP and sTRP communications, as in the examples of FIGS. 2 and 3, the activation DCI for CS-PUSCH may include at least a TCI status indication field and an SRS resource set indicator, and SRI and TPMI fields corresponding to each SRS resource set. In the description of the examples below, it may be assumed that the DCI for activating CS includes at least a TCI status indication field and an SRS resource set indicator, and SRI and TPMI fields corresponding to each SRS resource set.

[0167] FIG. 12 is a flowchart illustrating a second embodiment of type-2 configuration grant-based PUSCH transmission in single DCI-based mTRP communication.

[0168] Referring to FIG. 12, the base station can set scheduling information to the terminal via RRC signaling. Then, the base station can transmit a first DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information to the terminal via TRP#0 (S1210). Accordingly, the terminal can receive the first DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information. Here, the first DCI can include an SRI. At this time, the base station can indicate an SRS resource set indicator as '10' or '11' at least for transmission via mTRP communication.

[0169] The base station can instruct the terminal via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof on which method to transmit between SFN / SDM. Then, the terminal can receive from the base station via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof the content instructing which method to transmit between SFN / SDM. Accordingly, the terminal can perform transmission according to the transmission method received from the base station (S1220-1, S1220-2, S1230-1, S1230-2). In the mTRP operation, the method for instructing SFN and SDM can be operated by simply applying, modifying, extending, or combining the method #2 of embodiment #1. If '11' is reserved, the terminal may not expect to receive '11'.

[0170] Thereafter, the base station can transmit a second DCI including information indicating a change in the operation of the terminal to the terminal via TRP#0 (S1240). Accordingly, the terminal can receive the second DCI including information indicating a change in operation. Here, the second DCI can include an SRI. At this time, the base station can indicate sTRP communication through an SRS resource set indicator. In addition, the base station can indicate a change in the TCI state to the terminal via a TCI state indication field included in the second DCI while maintaining the mTRP operation. If an indication for SDM and SFN is possible via the DCI, the base station can indicate a change in the transmission method while maintaining the mTRP communication by using the indication field in the corresponding DCI.

[0171] Meanwhile, during the transmission of sTRP CS-PUSCH rather than mTRP CS-PUSCH, the base station can transmit the second DCI masked with CS-RNTI. At this time, the second DCI can maintain the active state for CS-PUSCH and can command a change to the current operation. For example, the base station can instruct the terminal to perform mTRP communication through an SRS resource set indicator. If the second DCI can indicate SDM and SFN, the base station can use the indication field in the second DCI to instruct the mTRP communication and transmission method to use the SDM or SFN method. In addition, the base station can instruct a change in TRP and a change in TCI state, that is, a beam change, through the TCI status indication field and the SRS resource set indicator included in the second DCI while maintaining sTRP communication.

[0172] In addition, the base station can indicate retransmission for CS-PUSCH by NDI in the second DCI, and can indicate a specific transmission method for the retransmission, such as sTRP, mTRP-based SFN, or mTRP-based SDM. In this case, when retransmitting, the total number of layers of the previous PUSCH transmission can be maintained the same as in method #2 of embodiment #1 (S1250-1, S1250-2, S1260-1, S1260-2). Therefore, the transmission method proposed in method #2 of embodiment #1 can be applied and operated in a simple, modified, extended, or combined form.

[0173] FIG. 13 is a flowchart illustrating a third embodiment of type-2 configuration grant-based PUSCH transmission in single DCI-based mTRP communication.

[0174] Referring to FIG. 13, the base station can set scheduling information to the terminal via RRC signaling. Then, the base station can transmit a first DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information to the terminal via TRP#0 (S1310). Accordingly, the terminal can receive the first DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information. Here, the first DCI may include an SRI. At this time, the base station can at least indicate an SRS resource set indicator as '10' or '11' for transmission via mTRP communication.

[0175] The base station can instruct the terminal to transmit in which method among SFN / SDM is to be used, via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof. Then, the terminal can receive from the base station, via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI, or a combination thereof, the content instructing to transmit in which method among SFN / SDM is to be used. Accordingly, the terminal can perform transmission according to the transmission method received from the base station (S1320-1, S1320-2, S1330-1, S1330-2). In mTRP communication, the method for instructing SFN and SDM can be operated by simply applying, modifying, extending, or combining method #2 of embodiment #1. If '11' is reserved, the terminal may not expect to receive '11'.

[0176] Thereafter, the base station can transmit a second DCI indicating deactivation of CS-PUSCH to the terminal via TRP#0 (S1340). Then, the terminal can receive the second DCI indicating deactivation of CS-PUSCH from TRP#0. Accordingly, the terminal can deactivate transmission for CS-PUSCH (S1350). Thereafter, the base station and the terminal can perform dynamic scheduling of PUSCH transmission.

[0177] In an environment supporting mTRP and sTRP communications, the second DCI indicating deactivation of CS-PUSCH may include at least a TCI status indication field and an SRS resource set indicator, and SRI and TPMI fields corresponding to each SRS resource set. The following example description may be explained on the assumption that the second DCI indicating deactivation of CS includes at least a TCI status indication field and an SRS resource set indicator, and SRI and TPMI fields corresponding to each SRS resource set. The base station may indicate subsequent PUSCH transmission settings and transmission methods through the second DCI.

[0178] For example, the base station can instruct the terminal to perform sTRP communication using the SRS resource set indicator of '00' or '01'. Alternatively, the base station can instruct the terminal to perform mTRP communication using the SRS resource set indicator of '10' or '11'. In addition, the base station can instruct the terminal to change the TCI state using the TCI state indicator field included in the DCI. If the DCI can instruct SDM and SFN, the base station can instruct the terminal to change the transmission method while maintaining mTRP communication using the instruction field in the DCI. If '11' is reserved, the terminal may not expect to receive '11'.

[0179] In addition, the base station can indicate retransmission for CS-PUSCH by NDI in DCI. The DCI can additionally include indication information for PUSCH that needs to be retransmitted among data transmitted as CS-PUSCH. The transmission method for the retransmission can indicate a specific method such as sTRP, mTRP-based SFN, or mTRP-based SDM. In this case, in case of retransmission, the total number of layers of the same CS-PUSCH transmission transmitted before retransmission can be maintained the same as in method #2 of embodiment #1. Therefore, the transmission method proposed in method #2 of embodiment #1 can be applied and operated in a simple application, modification, extension, or combined form.

[0180] FIG. 14 is a flowchart illustrating a fourth embodiment of type-2 configuration grant-based PUSCH transmission in single DCI-based mTRP communication.

[0181] Referring to FIG. 14, the base station can set scheduling information to the terminal via RRC signaling. Furthermore, the base station can transmit a first DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information to the terminal via TRP#0 (S1410). Accordingly, the terminal can receive the first DCI including information indicating resource activation according to the set scheduling information. Here, the first DCI may include an SRI. At this time, the base station can at least indicate an SRS resource set indicator as '10' or '11' for mTRP transmission.
