Abstract
Description
[0001] A CONTROL DEVICE FOR AN OVEN
[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD
[0003] The present invention relates to a control device for an oven that controls measurement parameters, particularly current, temperature, and voltage values.
[0004] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0005] Improvement studies are being conducted to make oven energy regulations more efficient. It is known that, besides taking actions to produce ovens more efficiently mechanically, the temperature control algorithms within the oven have a significant impact on efficiency. For this reason, considerable effort is being spent on developing ECO-Mode control algorithms for oven control algorithms. Control devices are placed inside the oven by modification to perform these measurements. For example, a power analyzer can show us the total power consumption of an oven in the best way, and / or a thermometer can measure the temperature data at one point on the oven in the best way, but modifications need to be made on the analyzer to collect data from just one resistor.
[0006] EP1518075B1 relates to a control device used for cooking appliances. The current publication is related to providing a more practical household appliance such as a cooking device. This is achieved with a cooking device comprising at least one heating element and a control device along with a writing unit. The writing unit at least partially automatically records the process parameters for the processing stages into a memory unit and is located within the control device along with a reading unit that can read the process parameters recorded in the memory unit. An output unit outputs variables related to the duration of at least one process stage and the heating performance provided in a process stage, and the process parameters are used to control a process at least partially through the control device.
[0007] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The object of the invention is to provide an external control device for an oven that controls process parameters. To achieve above objective, the invention relates to an external control device for an oven that includes a heating element provided on an upper wall of a muffle and a motor provided on a rear wall of the muffle, which can measure separately and includes a control unit. The control device includes a controller configured to measure temperature and current or voltage values in a measurement mode of the control unit and to compare them with a predetermined threshold value and display them on a screen by comparing with the threshold value. In this way, a control device is provided that can measure on the heating element or the motor in the measurement mode without any modification inside the oven and compare with predetermined threshold values. The control device ensures that the product offered to the user after production is error-free, thereby ensuring a long product life.
[0009] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the control unit is surrounded by a housing that covers it in a sealed manner. Thus, a long-life control device is provided by preventing the control device from being affected by external factors such as dust.
[0010] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the control device includes a memory unit where measurements made by the control unit are recorded. Thus, the measurement values are recorded, and it is ensured that whether the heating element or motor on the oven has a fault is determined after production, ensuring product reliability.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the memory unit includes a first profile corresponding to a first oven and at least one second profile corresponding to at least one second oven different from the first oven for temperature and current or voltage for predetermined threshold values. Thus, measurements of multiple different ovens can be made with a single control device by comparing with different threshold values according to the operating modes of the ovens.
[0012] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the housing includes at least one probe extending outward from a lower wall. Thus, it is ensured that the measured parameters are accurately measured.
[0013] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the probe is directly extended over the heating element or motor in the measurement mode. Thus, it is ensured that the error margin of the temperature, current, and voltage values is low in the measurement.
[0014] In a preferred application of the invention, in the measurement mode, the probe accesses the motor or heating element, the controller within the control unit measures the temperature and current or voltage values, and the temperature and current or voltage values measured by the controller are compared with the corresponding first profile or second profile in the memory unit and displays the comparison result on the screen. Thus, it is ensured that measurements are made on the heating element or motor within the oven without the need for modification inside the oven.
[0015] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the controller displays the comparison results of the measurements with the first profile or second profile on the screen in a graphic form. Thus, it is ensured that the error margin in the measurements can be read clearly.

A motor (18) is located on a rear wall (16) of the muffle (10). An external control device (20) independent of the oven is used to measure the current and temperature values of the heating element (14) on the muffle (10). The control device (20) includes a control unit (22) that measures current and temperature values. The control unit (22) includes a memory unit (26) that records the measured current and temperature values. A controller (24) configured to compare the threshold values corresponding to the predetermined current and temperature with the measured current and temperature values of the heating element (14) is located within the memory unit (26). The control device (20) measures the temperature and voltage values on the motor (18). The controller (24) compares the temperature and voltage values of the motor (18) according to the temperature and voltage threshold values in the memory unit (26) and displays the results on a screen (29) provided on the control device (20). The screen (29) is placed on a housing (21 ) that covers the control unit (22) in a sealed manner. A probe (25) extending outward from a lower wall (212) of the housing (21 ) and a second probe (27) provided spaced from the probe (25) are located. In the preferred embodiment, thermocouple probes for temperature, current probes for measuring current, and voltage probes for measuring voltage are used as probes (25, 27). The probe (25) extends directly from a distant end (254) to a proximal end (252) over the heating element (14) or motor (18). The second probe (27) extends directly from a distant end (274) to a proximal end (272) over the heating element (14) or motor (18).

In a measurement mode, the control device (20) connected to the first oven (1) in the manner shown in Figure 1 measures the temperature and current or voltage values by connecting to the heating element (14) or motor (18) and compares with the first profile (3) corresponding to the first oven (1) and displays the compared temperature, current, or voltage values on the screen (27) shown in Figure 1 . In a measurement mode, the control device (20) connected to the second oven (2) measures the temperature and current or voltage values by connecting to the heating element (14) or motor (18) and compares with the second profile (4) corresponding to the second oven (2) and displays the compared temperature, current, or voltage values on the screen (29) shown in Figure 1 .
[0023] In the working method of the control device (20) subject to the invention, in the measurement mode, the probe (25) and the second probe (27) access the motor (14) or heating element (18) from their proximal ends (252, 272), and the controller (24) within the control unit (22) measures the temperature and current or voltage values of the heating element (14) or motor (18) after the probes (25, 27) access the heating element (14) or motor (18). The controller (24) compares the temperature and current or voltage values measured by the controller (24) with the corresponding first profile (3) or second profile (4) in the memory unit (26). The comparison results, such as current high, temperature low, or voltage insufficient, are displayed in a graphic form on the screen (27). REFERENCE NUMBERS
