Abstract
Description
Water Sports TrackTechmeal Field
[0001] The solution according to the invention relates to a race track for water sports, particularly a floating water track for water motorsports. Background Art
[0002] Currently, water motorsports are a rapidly growing branch of sport, gaining increasing numbers of enthusiasts. Water motorsports are typically conducted on natural open water surfaces, where it is necessary to set up a track for the race. The most common method today for marking the track is by using plastic or inflatable buoys. These buoys are placed on the track at specific distances from each other to define the course. However, this method is installation-intensive because it requires precise mapping of the water surface and the placement of each buoy at its exact pre-determined position. Another drawback is the small size of the buoys, which competitors can sometimes overlook. Furthermore, this method does not provide an exact corridor for the race, leading to potential collisions and injuries during mass starts.
[0003] There are also known floating corridors that delineate a fixed track. These corridors are usually composed of plastic parts that need to be pre-assembled in large quantities to form the race corridor. The main issue with these types of tracks is anchoring them to the water surface to prevent movement relative to the water. Additionally, the installation and removal of tracks made from plastic elements is extremely time-consuming, labor-intensive, and logistically demanding, as a large number of plastic parts need to be transported to the race site and then moved individually to the precise location on the water surface. This process also creates a significant ecological burden in the form of a large carbon footprint. The installation and removal of the track takes a long time and requires a large number of people, which increases the cost of hosting the race.Summary of the Technical Solution
[0004] The above-mentioned disadvantages are wholly or largely eliminated by the solution according to this invention. The race track for water motorsports, according to the invention, is composed of inflatable cylinders with a diameter ofat least 70 cm and a length of at least 5 m, ideally 10 m. The inflatable cylinders are made from materials in the group of water-resistant and airtight coated fabrics, particularly polyester and polyamide with a rubber or PVC coating, rubberized fabric, rubber, PVC, or drop-stitch materials based on nylon.
[0005] Each inflatable cylinder is fitted with side handles for attaching anchor weights. The handles are designed as openings in a hem located oppositely on the longer side of the cylinder, or as eyelets connected to the cylinder body via loops. Both ends of each inflatable cylinder are equipped with an eyelet for attaching a connecting element, which is typically a carabiner.
[0006] Each inflatable cylinder is equipped with a safety air valve for easy inflation and deflation.
[0007] In a preferred embodiment, each inflatable cylinder is fitted with a pressure relief valve.
[0008] The inflatable cylinders are filled with gas, typically air, interconnected by a connecting element into the desired shape, and anchored to the water surface using an anchoring system.
[0009] The anchoring system consists of a main weight, typically a 50-liter sandbag, a rope, a pulley, and a counterweight, typically a 10-liter sandbag.
[0010] The pulley is attached to the side handle of the inflatable cylinder. A rope passes through the pulley, with one weight attached to each end of the rope. This anchoring setup allows the track to move with the water while preventing horizontal movement relative to the water surface, ensuring a stable installation.
[0011] in a preferred embodiment, colored or reflective strips or covers can be added to the cylinders to increase track visibility.
[0012] The advantage of this solution is that installation and removal require only a small number of people, without the need for heavy machinery, only a boat.
[0013] Another advantage of the invention is the unlimited variability of the track, which can be placed on any water surface.Brief Description of Drawings

[0018] Example 1
[0019] A race track for water motorsports according to the invention is composed of inflatable cylinders (1) interconnected by connecting elements (2) and equipped with an anchoring system (3). The diameter of the inflatable cylinder (1) is 70 cm, and the length of the inflatable cylinder (1) is 10 m. The inflatable cylinders (1) are made from polyester with a PVC coating. Each inflatable cylinder (1) is fitted with side handles for attaching anchor weights. The handles are designed as openings (6) in a hem (5) located oppositely on the longer side of the inflatable cylinder (1). Both opposite ends (7) of each inflatable cylinder (1) are fitted with an eyelet (8) for securing the connecting element (2), which is a carabiner. Each inflatable cylinder (1) is equipped with a safety air valve (9) for easy inflation and deflation. The inflatable cylinders (1) are filled with air, interconnected by a connecting element (2) into the desired shape, and anchored to the water surface using an anchoring system (3).
[0020] The anchoring system (3) consists of a main weight (10), which is a 50-Iiter sandbag, a rope (11), a pulley (12), and a counterweight (13), which is a 10-liter sandbag.
[0021] The pulley (12) is attached to the side handle of the inflatable cylinder (1). A rope (11) passes through the pulley (12), with one weight attached to each end of the rope (11), This anchoring setup allows the track to move with the water white preventing horizontal movement relative to the water surface, ensuring a stable installation.
