Description

[0001] Door fitting unit and associated door fitting

[0002] The invention relates to the technical field of door fittings and concerns a door fitting unit and an associated door fitting with such a door fitting unit.

[0003] Door fittings, especially door hardware, are well known in terms of their function and construction. These are intended for operating door locks, with the door locks forming protective devices that prevent illegal or unwanted entry into a room closed by the door. For this purpose, such a door lock is often incorporated into a door leaf, with the door lock being concealed at least in sections by a door fitting or a door fitting unit designed for the rotatable mounting of a door handle on the door.

[0004] Typically, such a door fitting unit with a door handle is provided on each side of the door leaf to allow operation of the door lock from both sides. Such an arrangement of two door handles and a fitting unit is also referred to as a door handle set.

[0005] The door handle is connected to the door fitting unit so that it can rotate about a rotation axis and is operatively connected to the door lock and, if applicable, the opposite door handle via a rigid connecting shaft in order to enable the lock body of the door lock to be operated via the respective door handle.

[0006] The connecting shaft, which is often formed by a square, extends along the rotation or pivot axis of the door handle through the door leaf and runs perpendicular to it. The door handle is preferably connected to a nut element of the door lock. Turning the door handle generates a synchronous rotary movement of the locking cylinder or the nut element, whereby a lock body in the form of a latch and / or a bolt of the door lock is extended or retracted to open and close the door. The latch and / or the bolt of a door lock engage in at least one, possibly several, lock recesses in the door to lock the door leaf in the door frame. In existing door locks, a certain distance between the lock body and the lock receptacle is specified at the factory when installed in order to trigger activation of the door lock when the door handle is operated. If this distance does not match the specified distance after installation, it is disadvantageous to adjust the depth of the lock recess in the door to ensure proper activation of the door lock via the door handle. This may require, for example, further deepening the lock recess in the door. Some users also prefer a short activation distance, i.e., even a slight turn of the handle should be sufficient to operate the door lock. However, this is difficult to adjust retrospectively with conventional door locks. This creates disadvantages for the user when installing and using the lock body of a door lock.

[0007] Based on this, the invention is based on the object of specifying a door fitting unit and an associated door fitting which eliminates the disadvantages known from the prior art, in particular enabling an adjustment of the activation distance of a door lock in order to adapt it to different installation conditions and user requirements.

[0008] The object is achieved by a door fitting unit according to claim 1 and a door fitting according to claim 10. Further advantageous aspects, details, and embodiments of the invention emerge from the dependent claims, the description, and the drawings.

[0009] The invention relates to a door fitting unit comprising a handle holder with a through-opening, which is designed for connection to a door leaf, and an adapter element arranged in the through-opening so as to be rotatable in a circumferential direction, wherein the adapter element has an adjustment section which is received in an adjustment groove in the handle holder in a receiving position, wherein the receiving position of the adjustment section in the adjustment groove is adjustable in order to adjust the rotational angle position of the adapter element with respect to the handle holder. By adjusting the rotational angle position of the handle holder, both the rotational position of the door handle with respect to the connecting shaft can be adjusted and thus the activation distance of a door lock can also be adjusted particularly advantageously. This makes it possible to adapt the activation of the door lock using the door handle to different installation conditions and user requirements without major installation effort.

[0010] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the adjustment groove is an arcuate groove with an outer arc that is longer than the length of a movement surface of the adjustment section that is displaced along the arcuate groove, with the movement surface extending along the direction of the adjustment groove. An arcuate adjustment groove can be integrated into the handle holder in a particularly space-saving manner, while the rotational or pivoting movement of the adjustment section around the rotation axis also provides the widest possible adjustment range.

[0011] Furthermore, the handle holder advantageously has an adjustment receptacle connected to the preferably arcuate adjustment groove, in which an adjustment element is received, wherein the free end of the adjustment element rests laterally against the adjustment section. The adjustment element can be used to precisely adjust the receiving position of the adjustment section in the adjustment groove. For this purpose, in a preferred embodiment, the position of the free end of the adjustment element is adjustable relative to the adjustment groove.

[0012] In a further embodiment of the invention, the adapter element has a seat body, wherein the adjustment section is arranged on the outer circumference of the seat body and the seat body has an annular groove, and an elastic element is received in the annular groove, wherein one free end of the elastic element is connected to the seat body and another free end is connected to the handle holder. By means of the elastic element, the actuating force required to actuate the handle element can be adjusted in a particularly advantageous manner. This allows not only the rotational angle position of a door handle connected to the door fitting unit according to the invention to be adjusted, but also the rotational position and actuating force that must be introduced into the door handle by the user to actuate the door lock.Furthermore, the adapter element advantageously further comprises a seat cover, wherein the seat cover is attached to the seat body and covers at least the annular groove. The annular groove has a through-opening, and the other free end of the elastic element is connected to the handle holder via the through-opening. This advantageously prevents contamination of the annular groove by dust, etc.

[0013] In an advantageous development of the invention, the seat body has a shaft receiving opening extending along the axial direction of the through-hole, wherein the shaft receiving opening is designed to receive a connecting shaft. This allows a rotationally fixed connection between the connecting shaft and the seat body to be established.

[0014] According to a further advantageous development of the invention, the seat body has a plurality of fastening teeth in the edge region extending around the shaft receiving opening, wherein the seat body is rotatably received in the passage opening in the circumferential direction by means of the fastening teeth snapping into the passage opening. Such a detachable snap connection advantageously enables easy assembly and disassembly of the seat body on or from the handle holder, without impairing the rotatability of the seat body or adapter element.

[0015] In an advantageous development of the invention, the handle holder can also be provided with a pressure piece adapted to the elastic element, wherein a locking spring element is accommodated in the pressure piece to exert pressure on the elastic element. The provided spring force can be adjusted by means of the pressure piece or the locking spring element.

[0016] The invention also relates to a door fitting comprising a door handle and a door fitting unit according to the invention. The door handle is particularly preferably designed as a rotary handle or doorknob, which is, for example, adapted to the cross-sectional shape of the handle holder. In summary, the door fitting unit and the associated door fitting with such a door fitting unit have the following technical advantages compared to the prior art:

[0017] By providing an adjustment section in the adapter element and an adjustment groove in the handle holder in which the adjustment section is accommodated, the position of the adjustment section in the adjustment groove can be adjusted particularly advantageously. This allows the angle of rotation of the adapter element relative to the handle holder to be adjusted, particularly to individual user needs or installation situations.

[0018] This allows the movable distance of the lock body of the door lock to be adjusted to a suitable range, which can meet the different needs of the user.

[0019] Further developments, advantages, and possible applications of the invention will become apparent from the following description of exemplary embodiments and from the figures. All described and / or illustrated features, individually or in any combination, are fundamentally part of the invention, regardless of their summary in the claims or their reference back to them. This means that the inventive concept is in no way limited to the described embodiment. Features, structures, or properties of one embodiment can be combined in any suitable manner with one or more other embodiments.

[0028] When describing the invention, it should be noted that the terms "top," "bottom," "front," "back," "left," "right," "vertical," "horizontal," "inside," "outside," etc., refer to an orientation or positional relationship that relates to the embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings. [0029] Figures 1 to 3 show, by way of example, different views of a door fitting unit according to the invention, which is designed for mounting a door handle 3 on a door leaf.

[0030] The door fitting unit and a door handle 3 form a door fitting which is provided for actuating a door lock accommodated in the door leaf and for this purpose is brought into operative connection with the door lock via a connecting shaft, preferably a square, not shown in the figures.

[0031] The door fitting unit according to the invention comprises a handle holder 1, which is preferably circular disc-shaped and serves for a rotationally fixed connection to the door leaf. The handle holder 1 further has a through-opening 10 through which the connecting shaft connected to the door handle 3 for actuating the door lock can be passed. The door fitting unit thus forms a substructure or mounting module for mounting the door handle 3 on a door leaf, which can be used for various door fittings.

[0032] Furthermore, the door fitting unit according to the invention comprises an adapter element 2 with an elastic element 221, which is mounted in the through-opening 10 so as to be rotatable about a rotation axis DA and is connected to the handle holder 1 by means of an elastic element 221 in order to provide a torque consistent with the direction of rotation. The through-opening 10 thus simultaneously forms an opening and a receiving opening for the adapter element 2.

[0033] The elasticity of the elastic element 221 allows rotation of the

[0034] Adapter element 2 about the rotation axis DA such that the user requires less effort to operate or rotate the door handle 3 about the rotation axis, thereby making it easier for the user to use the door fitting to open the door.

[0035] In one embodiment of the invention, the adapter element 2 comprises a seat body 22 with a shaft receiving opening 220 which extends along the axis of rotation DA, i.e. in the axial direction of the through-opening 10. The shaft receiving opening 220 is designed to pass the connecting shaft through the seat body 22 and to establish a rotationally fixed connection with the seat body 22. Therefore, the shaft receiving opening 220 preferably has a cross-section corresponding to the cross-section of the connecting shaft, so that a positive fit of the connecting shaft in the shaft receiving opening 220 is ensured. As a result, a connecting shaft is rotationally fixedly connected to the seat body 22 of the adapter element 2, wherein the connecting shaft in turn is rotationally fixedly connected to the door handle.

[0036] When assembled, there is a rotationally fixed connection between the door lock and the connecting shaft, so that actuation of the door handle 3, i.e., its rotation about the rotation axis DA, via the connecting shaft, actuates the door lock. The handle holder 1 is rotationally fixedly connected to the door leaf, whereas the adapter element 2 rotatably received therein rotates with the rotation of the connecting shaft. Actuation of the door lock retracts or extends the latch and / or bolt of the door lock. The adapter element 2 also serves, in particular, to rotatably mount the door handle 3 in the handle holder 1.

[0037] According to the invention, the adapter element 2 has an adjustment section 222, which preferably projects laterally radially from the circumferential side of the adapter element 2, specifically along a predetermined circumferential section. The adapter element 2 itself has an approximately circular disk-shaped or hollow-cylindrical base body, to which the adjustment section 222 adjoins the circumference in a radial direction relative to the rotation axis DA. The adapter element 2 further has a groove-shaped interior space running concentrically to the rotation axis DA for receiving the elastic element 221, preferably an annular spring element. The through-opening 10 in the handle holder 1 thus forms a receiving space adapted to receive the adapter element 2, which is open on both sides and comprises an adjustment groove 101 designed to receive and guide the adjustment section 222.The rotation angle position or the rotation angle about the rotation axis between the adapter element 2 and the handle holder 1 can be adjusted by means of the adjustment section 222 accommodated in the adjustment groove 101. For this purpose, the adjustment groove 101 has, for example, a longer circumferential length than the adjustment section 222, thereby defining an adjustment range.

[0038] According to the invention, the adjustment section 222 is received in the adjustment groove 101 in the handle holder 1 in a receiving position, and the receiving position of the adjustment section 222 is adjustable in the adjustment groove 101, so that the rotational angle position of the adapter element 2 is adjustable with respect to the handle holder 1. The respective receiving position is the rotational angle position that the adjustment section 222 can assume within the adjustment groove 101.

[0039] Preferably, the adjustment groove 101 is formed by an arcuate groove which extends concentrically around the rotation axis DA and whose outer arcuate section is longer than the length of the adjustment section 222 along the arcuate groove. The adjustment section 222 can thus be located at different positions within the adjustment groove 101, wherein the adjustment section 222 is adjusted such that it is active within the adjustment groove 101. As a result, the rotational position of the adapter element 2 can be adapted to the rotational angle position of the handle holder 1. The rotational angle range provided by the adapter element 2 itself for actuating the door handle can thus also be adapted to the mounting position of the handle holder 1. As a result, the rotational angle range of the adapter element 2 can be adjusted relative to the handle holder 1, since rotation of the connecting shaft causes the bolt or latch to be retracted.the trap is triggered depending on the respective rotation of the adapter element 2. This allows the activation or retraction distance of the.

[0040] locking body of the door lock, such as the latch or the bolt. Furthermore, the handle holder 1 comprises an adjusting element 14 for adjusting the rotational position or receiving position of the adjusting section 222 in the adjusting groove 101. For this purpose, the handle holder has a through-hole which extends from the peripheral side of the handle holder 1 into a lateral stop surface of the adjusting groove 101 and is designed to receive the adjusting element 14. The adjusting element 14 can, for example, be formed by an adjusting screw which can be screwed into an internal thread provided in the through-hole and whose free end forms an adjustable stop for the adjusting element 14 in the adjusting groove 101. For this purpose, the free end 14 of the adjusting element projects into the adjusting groove 101.

[0041] The adjustment element 14 is preferably received in the handle holder 14 in such a way that it can be moved in a straight line relative to the adjustment groove 101 along the receiving position through the adjustment groove 101. Thus, the position of the adjustment section 222 within the adjustment groove 101 can be adjusted over the length of the free end of the adjustment element 14 projecting into the adjustment groove 101.

[0042] The larger the space occupied by the free end of the adjustment element 14 in the adjustment groove 101, the smaller the space in which the adjustment section 222 can move in the adjustment groove 101. The smaller the angle of rotation of the adapter element 2 relative to the handle holder 1, the smaller the angle of rotation of the adapter element 2 relative to the handle holder 1.

[0043] Particularly preferably, the adapter element 2 has a seat body 22 with a circumferentially arranged adjustment section 222, in which the elastic element 221 is received in an annular groove and at least one free end of the elastic element 221 is arranged in the annular groove and is connected to the seat body 22 itself. The other free end of the elastic element 221 is connected to the handle holder 1. In a preferred embodiment, a receiving groove is provided for this purpose in the handle holder 1, which is arranged radially opposite the adjustment groove 101 with respect to the axis of rotation DA and is open towards the annular groove of the seat body 22. Preferably, the elastic element 221 is formed by a spiral spring element with an inner and outer free end, wherein the inner free end is connected to the seat body 22 and the outer free end is connected to the handle holder 1.The spiral spring element itself is received in the annular groove of the seat body 22 and encloses the shaft receiving opening 220.

[0044] In one embodiment, the adapter element 2 also includes a seat cover 23, which is mounted on the annular groove and connected to the adapter ring. By providing the seat cover 23 to cover the annular groove, the elastic element 221 can be securely fixed in the annular groove. The seat cover 23 also has a shaft receiving opening 230 for passing through and receiving the connecting shaft.

[0045] To connect the free end of the elastic element 221, in particular a spiral spring element, a through-opening is provided in the annular groove between the seat body 22, which is aligned with the receiving groove in the handle holder 1, in order to guide the free end of the elastic element from the annular groove in the seat body 22 into the receiving groove in the handle holder 1 and to connect it accordingly.

[0046] In a preferred embodiment, the seat body 22 has a plurality of fastening teeth 21, by means of which the seat body 22 is mounted circumferentially and rotatably in the through-opening 10. The fastening teeth 21 engage behind the edge region of the handle holder 1 surrounding the through-opening 10, which edge region faces the door leaf. The fastening teeth 21 are, for example, hinged to the seat body 22 in such a way that they can be pivoted radially inward and automatically pivot radially outward back to their original position, thus establishing a locking or snap-in connection.

[0047] The handle holder 1 can also have a cover ring 11, by means of which at least the adjustment groove 101 and the adjustment section 222 are covered. This prevents dust from entering the adjustment groove 101 and thereby impairing the adjustment function. The cover ring 11 also provides additional lateral guidance for the adjustment section 222 accommodated in the adjustment groove 101, thereby preventing the

[0048] adapter element 2 from the feedthrough opening 10 can be prevented.

[0049] The handle holder 1 can also have at least one, preferably two, connecting tube(s) 12 for connection to the door leaf, which can also be used to establish a detachable connection with another handle holder on the opposite side of the door leaf. The connecting tube 12 is inserted into the usually standardized mounting holes of a door leaf, and a bolt or sleeve, preferably a screw bolt or screw sleeve, is guided through the connecting tube 12, thereby establishing a detachable connection with opposite handle holders, in which the door leaf is held between the handle holders 1.

[0050] For example, handle holder 1 may also be provided with a pressure piece opposite the other end of the elastic element 221, wherein a locking spring element 13 is provided in the pressure piece to exert pressure on the free end of the elastic element 221 to compress the elastic element 221, so that the free end of the elastic element 221 is stably connected to the handle holder 1.

[0051] The pressure piece is preferably formed by a screw hole in which a bolt-like locking spring element 13 is guided.

[0052] Figure 4 shows an example of a door fitting comprising a door handle 3 and a door fitting unit according to the invention in a perspective view. In the door fitting shown, the activation distance of the lock body, i.e., the latch or bolt of the door lock, can be adjusted via the door fitting unit according to the invention. This allows the rotational position of the door handle 3, which in the present example is designed as a doorknob, to be adapted to user-specific requirements.

[0053] The invention has been described above using exemplary embodiments. It is understood that numerous changes and modifications are possible without departing from the inventive concept underlying the invention. List of reference symbols
