The fourth fixing portion 24b has a generally rectangular plate shape that is long in the front-rear direction X. The plate surface of the fourth fixing portion 24b faces the vertical direction Z. The fourth fixing portion 24b protrudes from the upper edge of the third fixing portion 24a in a direction away from the side wall main body portion 21 in the left-right direction Y. In the first side wall member 20a, the fourth fixing portion 24b protrudes to the right from the upper edge of the third fixing portion 24a. The upper surface of the fourth fixing portion 24b is the upper surface of the second mounting member 24. The upper surface of the fourth fixing portion 24b is located slightly below the upper side surface of the side wall main body portion 21. The upper surface of the fourth fixing portion 24b may be located at the same position in the vertical direction Z as the upper side surface of the side wall main body portion 21.
[0041] The fourth fixing portion 24b has a plurality of fourth through holes 24d that penetrate the fourth fixing portion 24b in the vertical direction Z. The plurality of fourth through holes 24d are circular holes when viewed in the vertical direction Z. Two fourth through holes 24d are provided, spaced apart in the front-rear direction X. The number of fourth through holes 24d is not particularly limited. As shown in FIG. 15 , a plurality of screw members 84 that are fastened to the top wall member 30 are passed through the plurality of fourth through holes 24d from below. The fourth fixing portion 24b is fixed to the top wall member 30 by the plurality of screw members 84. The second mounting member 24 is fixed to the top wall member 30 by fixing the fourth fixing portion 24b to the top wall member 30.
[0042] As shown in Fig. 5, the fourth fixing portion 24b has a sixth through hole 24e that penetrates the fourth fixing portion 24b in the vertical direction Z. The sixth through hole 24e is a circular hole when viewed in the vertical direction Z. The inner diameter of the sixth through hole 24e is larger than the inner diameters of the third through hole 24c and the fourth through hole 24d. The sixth through hole 24e is located between the two fourth through holes 24d in the front-rear direction X. The sixth through hole 24e does not necessarily have to be provided.
[0043] Of the left-right direction Y surfaces of the side wall main body portion 21 of the first side wall member 20a, the surface opposite to the side to which the first mounting member 23, the second mounting member 24, and the rail member 22 are attached does not have any other components such as metal fittings attached.
[0044] As shown in FIG. 3 , the second sidewall member 20b has a similar configuration to the first sidewall member 20a, except that it is symmetrical in the left-right direction Y relative to the first sidewall member 20a. The rear (−X side) end of the sidewall main body portion 21 of the third sidewall member 20c contacts the front (+X side) surface of the support portion 10. The front surface of the support portion 10 includes the front surface of the first extension member 10a and the front surface of the second extension member 10b. The third sidewall member 20c is provided with three rail members 22. The remaining configuration of the third sidewall member 20c is similar to the remaining configuration of the second sidewall member 20b. The rear end of the sidewall main body portion 21 of the fourth sidewall member 20d contacts the front surface of the support portion 10. The remaining configuration of the fourth sidewall member 20d is similar to the remaining configuration of the first sidewall member 20a.
[0045] The fifth sidewall member 20e differs from the first sidewall member 20a in the shape of the sidewall main body 21. The sidewall main body 21 of the fifth sidewall member 20e is generally L-shaped when viewed in the left-right direction Y, and includes a first extension portion 21a extending in the front-rear direction X and a second extension portion 21b extending downward from the rear (-X side) end of the first extension portion 21a. The fifth sidewall member 20e is provided with only one rail member 22. This rail member 22 is provided on the first extension portion 21a. The first mounting member 23, the second mounting member 24, and the rail member 22 are fixed to the left-right direction Y surface of the sidewall main body 21 on the side facing the third sidewall member 20c (+Y side).
[0046] The two rail members 22 in the first side wall member 20a and the two rail members 22 in the third side wall member 20c are arranged opposite each other in the left-right direction Y, sandwiching the interior of the first storage section 70a therebetween. The one rail member 22 in the fifth side wall member 20e and the uppermost rail member 22 in the third side wall member 20c are arranged opposite each other in the left-right direction Y, sandwiching a part of the right-side portion of the interior of the first storage section 70a therebetween. The two rail members 22 in the second side wall member 20b and the two rail members 22 in the fourth side wall member 20d are arranged opposite each other in the left-right direction Y, sandwiching the interior of the second storage section 70b therebetween.
[0047] The kitchen unit main body 100a has a bottom wall 26 that constitutes a part of the third storage section 70c. The bottom wall 26 is located between the lower portion of the third side wall member 20c and the lower portion of the fourth side wall member 20d in the left-right direction Y. The bottom wall 26 is fixed to the third side wall member 20c and the fourth side wall member 20d. The bottom wall 26 is rectangular plate-shaped. The plate surface of the bottom wall 26 faces the vertical direction Z. A plurality of dowels protruding in the left-right direction Y are provided on both side surfaces of the bottom wall 26 in the left-right direction Y. The dowels are fitted into a plurality of dowel holes provided in the third side wall member 20c and the fourth side wall member 20d, thereby fixing the bottom wall 26 between the third side wall member 20c and the fourth side wall member 20d in the left-right direction Y.
[0048] As shown in FIG. 1 , the top wall member 30 is a generally rectangular plate-shaped member that is long in the left-right direction Y. The plate surface of the top wall member 30 faces the vertical direction Z. The top wall member 30 is disposed above a plurality of side wall members 20. The top wall member 30 is supported from below by the plurality of side wall members 20. The top wall member 30 has a generally rectangular plate-shaped top wall main body portion 31 that is long in the left-right direction Y and whose plate surface faces the vertical direction Z, and a flange portion 32 that protrudes upward from the rear edge (-X side) of the top wall main body portion 31. The flange portion 32 is a generally rectangular plate-shaped member that is long in the left-right direction Y. The plate surface of the flange portion 32 faces the front-rear direction X.
[0049] The top wall main body 31 has a first mounting hole 31a and a second mounting hole 31b that penetrate the top wall main body 31 in the vertical direction Z. The first mounting hole 31a is provided in a portion of the top wall main body 31 that forms a wall located above the first storage section 70a. The second mounting hole 31b is provided in a portion of the top wall main body 31 that forms a wall located above the second storage section 70b. A stove 51 is attached to the first mounting hole 31a. A kitchen sink 52 is attached to the second mounting hole 31b. The top wall main body 31 forms the upper portion of each storage section 70.
[0050] As shown in Figure 14, the ceiling wall member 30 has a second hole 31c into which the second protrusion 25 is inserted. The second hole 31c is provided in the ceiling wall main body 31. The second hole 31c is a hole that is recessed upward from the lower surface of the ceiling wall main body 31 and has a bottom on the upper side. The second hole 31c is a circular hole when viewed in the vertical direction Z. The second protrusion 25 is fitted into the second hole 31c. The second protrusion 25 may be loose-fitted into the second hole 31c, or the second protrusion 25 may be lightly press-fitted.
[0051] As shown in FIG. 1 , the multiple drawers 40 include a first drawer 41 and a second drawer 42. A plurality of first drawers 41 are provided. There are four first drawers 41: two stored in the first storage section 70a and two stored in the second storage section 70b. The two first drawers 41 stored in the first storage section 70a are arranged side by side in the vertical direction Z. The two first drawers 41 stored in the second storage section 70b are arranged side by side in the vertical direction Z. The multiple first drawers 41 have the same shape and size. As shown in FIG. 2 , the first drawers 41 are box-shaped and elongated in the left-right direction Y, opening upward.
[0052] The phrase "the multiple first drawers 41 have the same shape and size" does not necessarily mean that the multiple first drawers 41 have exactly the same shape and size, but also means that the multiple first drawers 41 have approximately the same shape and size. The phrase "the multiple first drawers 41 have approximately the same shape and size" also means that the multiple first drawers 41 have slightly different shapes and sizes within the tolerance range that occurs when manufacturing each first drawer 41.
[0053] The first drawer section 41 has a drawer main body section 41a and a panel section 41b. The drawer main body section 41a is supported movably in the front-rear direction X by a pair of rail members 22 arranged opposite each other in the left-right direction Y inside the storage section 70. The drawer main body section 41a of the first drawer section 41 stored in the first storage section 70a is supported by the rail members 22 of the first sidewall member 20a and the third sidewall member 20c. The drawer main body section 41a of the first drawer section 41 stored in the second storage section 70b is supported by the rail members 22 of the second sidewall member 20b and the fourth sidewall member 20d. The drawer main bodies 41a of the multiple first drawers 41 have the same shape and size. The panel section 41b is a rectangular plate extending in the left-right direction Y with its plate surface facing the front-rear direction X. The end plate 41b is fixed to the front end (+X side) of the drawer main body 41a. The end plate 41b protrudes upward from the drawer main body 41a. The end plate 41b of each of the first drawers 41 has the same shape and size.
[0054] The second drawer 42 is stored in a portion of the first storage section 70a between the third side wall member 20c and the fifth side wall member 20e in the left-right direction Y. The second drawer 42 is supported so as to be movable in the front-rear direction X by the uppermost rail member 22 provided on the third side wall member 20c and the rail member 22 provided on the fifth side wall member 20e. The dimension of the second drawer 42 in the left-right direction Y is smaller than the dimension of the first drawer 41 in the left-right direction Y.
[0055] 1, the kitchen unit main body 100a has a panel 61 that covers the upper end of the interior of the second storage section 70b from the front (+X direction). The panel 61 is a rectangular plate that is long in the left-right direction Y and has a surface facing the front-to-back direction X. The panel 61 covers the portion of the kitchen sink 52 that protrudes downward from the second mounting hole 31b from the front.
[0056] As shown in Figure 8, the method for installing the kitchen unit 100 includes a support fixing step S1, a side wall member attaching step S2, a top wall member attaching step S3, a panel attaching step S4, a drawer installation step S5, a dishwasher installation step S6, and a stove installation step S7. The installation method for the kitchen unit 100 in this embodiment can be performed by, for example, a single worker. The kitchen unit 100 may also be installed by multiple workers.
[0057] The support portion fixing step S1 is a step of fixing the support portion 10 to the wall surface WS. As shown in Fig. 9 , the support portion fixing step S1 fixes the first extension member 10a and the second extension member 10b to the wall surface WS. In the support portion fixing step S1, the worker fixes the first extension member 10a and the second extension member 10b to the wall surface WS using a plurality of screw members.
[0058] The sidewall member attachment process S2 is a process of attaching multiple sidewall members 20 to the support portion 10. In the sidewall member attachment process S2, the worker engages the engaging portions 23h with the support portion 10 from above, thereby engaging the multiple sidewall members 20 with the support portion 10 while spaced above the floor surface FS. As shown in FIG. 10 , the worker brings the engaging portions 23h of two first attachment members 23 provided on the sidewall member 20 close to the first extension member 10a and the second extension member 10b from above, thereby engaging the sidewall members 20 with the first extension member 10a and the second extension member 10b from above. As shown in FIG. 11 , when engaging the multiple sidewall members 20 with the support portion 10, the worker passes each first protrusion 12 provided on the support portion 10 through and fits into a first hole 23g provided in the engaging portion 23h of each first attachment member 23 from below. For each side wall member 20, the worker fits the first protrusion 12 of the first extension member 10a and the first protrusion 12 of the second extension member 10b into the first hole 23g of each engaging portion 23h of the pair of first mounting members 23. The side wall members 20 are temporarily fixed to the support portion 10 by engaging the engaging portions 23h with the support portion 10 from above.
[0059] The worker temporarily fastens the five side wall members 20 to the support portion 10 by engaging them with the support portion 10, and then finally fastens the plurality of side wall members 20 to the support portion 10. As shown in FIG. 12 , the worker fastens the second fastening portion 23b of each side wall member 20 to the support portion 10 with a plurality of screw members 82, thereby fastening the plurality of side wall members 20 to the support portion 10. When fastening the plurality of side wall members 20 to the support portion 10, the worker passes the plurality of screw members 82 through the second fastening portion 23b of the first mounting member 23 and the support portion 10, and tightens them into the wall surface WS. In the side wall member mounting step S2, after engaging one side wall member 20 with the support portion 10, the worker may fasten the side wall member 20 engaged with the support portion 10 to the support portion 10 with a plurality of screw members 82 before engaging another side wall member 20 with the support portion 10.
[0060] In the sidewall member attaching step S2, after engaging the third sidewall member 20c and the fourth sidewall member 20d with the support portion 10 and before fastening the third sidewall member 20c and the fourth sidewall member 20d with the screw members 82, the worker positions the bottom wall portion 26 between the third sidewall member 20c and the fourth sidewall member 20d. The bottom wall portion 26 is attached between the third sidewall member 20c and the fourth sidewall member 20d by fitting dowels provided on the bottom wall portion 26 into dowel holes provided on the sidewall main body portion 21 of the third sidewall member 20c and the sidewall main body portion 21 of the fourth sidewall member 20d. In the sidewall member attaching step S2, the five sidewall members 20 and the bottom wall portions 26 are attached to the support portion 10, as shown in FIG.
[0061] The top wall member mounting step S3 is a step of mounting the top wall member 30 above the plurality of side wall members 20. As shown in Fig. 13 , in the top wall member mounting step S3, the worker brings the top wall member 30, with the kitchen sink 52 attached, close to the plurality of side wall members 20 from above, and positions the top wall member 30 above the plurality of side wall members 20. As shown in Fig. 14 , when positioning the top wall member 30 above the plurality of side wall members 20, the worker fits the second protrusions 25 provided on each side wall member 20 into the second holes 31c provided in the top wall member 30. By fitting the second protrusions 25 into the second holes 31c, the position of each side wall member 20 in the left-right direction Y is determined relative to the top wall member 30. After placing the top wall member 30 above the plurality of side wall members 20, the worker fixes the fourth fixing portion 24b of the second mounting member 24 to the top wall main body portion 31 of the top wall member 30 with a plurality of screw members 84, as shown in Figure 15. Although not shown in the figure, the worker also fixes the fixed portion 23i of the first mounting member 23 to the top wall main body portion 31 of the top wall member 30 with a screw member.
[0062] The headboard attachment process S4 is a process of attaching the headboard 61. In the headboard attachment process S4, the worker fixes the headboard 61 to the second side wall member 20b and the fourth side wall member 20d, and covers a portion of the kitchen sink 52 exposed inside the second storage section 70b from the front (+X direction) with the headboard 61.
[0063] The drawer installation process S5 is a process of installing the drawers 40. In the drawer installation process S5, the worker installs the first drawer 41 and the second drawer 42. After the worker places the drawer main body 41a of the first drawer 41 in each storage section 70 with the drawer main body 41a supported by the pair of rail members 22, the worker attaches the end plate 41b to each drawer main body 41a from the front (+X direction). The worker also installs the second drawer 42 in the same manner as the first drawer 41. In the drawer installation process S5, the worker may install either the first drawer 41 or the second drawer 42 first. In the drawer installation process S5, the worker may install the drawer main body 41a of the first drawer 41 and the drawer main body of the second drawer 42, and then attach each end plate to each drawer main body.
[0064] The dishwasher installation step S6 is a step of installing the dishwasher 53. In the dishwasher installation step S6, the worker stores the dishwasher 53 in the third storage section 70c and attaches the end panel section 63 to the front side of the dishwasher 53.
[0065] The stove installation step S7 is a step of installing the stove 51. In the stove installation step S7, the worker installs the stove 51 in the first mounting hole 31a of the top wall member 30. In this way, the kitchen unit 100 is assembled, and the installation of the kitchen unit 100 is completed.
[0066] As described above, the kitchen unit 100 includes a kitchen unit main body 100a with a storage section 70. The kitchen unit main body 100a is attached to a wall surface WS at a distance above the floor surface FS. Because the kitchen unit main body 100a is attached above the floor surface FS, even if the floor surface FS is uneven, the kitchen unit main body 100a is not affected by the floor surface FS when adjusting the installation position and installation angle of the kitchen unit main body 100a, allowing the worker to easily install the kitchen unit main body 100a. Because the kitchen unit 100 is attached to the wall surface WS, the worker can freely adjust the height of the top wall member 30 of the kitchen unit 100 by adjusting the vertical direction Z position of the wall surface WS where the kitchen unit 100 is attached. There is no need to prepare multiple types of kitchen units 100 with different dimensions in the vertical direction Z in order to change the height of the top wall member 30. The worker can install kitchen units 100 with different heights of top wall member 30 using a single size kitchen unit 100.
[0067] Because the kitchen unit main body 100a is spaced above the floor surface FS, the space between the underside of the kitchen unit main body 100a and the floor surface FS can be used as storage space. This storage space can be used to store, for example, trash cans, cardboard boxes, etc. Because the kitchen unit main body 100a is spaced above the floor surface FS, users can easily clean the floor surface FS located below the kitchen unit main body 100a. Users can easily clean the area of the floor surface FS near the riser of the kitchen unit 100, which is prone to getting dirty.
[0068] The kitchen unit main body 100a includes a support portion 10 fixed to a wall surface WS, a plurality of side wall members 20 fixed to the support portion 10 and spaced apart in a left-right direction Y intersecting the vertical direction Z, and a top wall member 30 disposed above the plurality of side wall members 20. The portion of the storage portion 70 located in the left-right direction Y is formed by the side wall members 20. The portion of the storage portion 70 located at the top is formed by the top wall member 30. Each of the plurality of side wall members 20 has an engaging portion 23h that engages with the support portion 10 from above. An operator can temporarily fix the side wall member 20 to the support portion 10 by engaging the engaging portion 23h with the support portion 10 from above. The operator can easily attach the plurality of side wall members 20 to the support portion 10 by temporarily fixing the plurality of side wall members 20 to the support portion 10 and then permanently fixing each side wall member 20 to the support portion 10. A worker can easily assemble the storage unit 70 by placing the top wall member 30 above the multiple side wall members 20 attached to the support member 10. The worker does not need to transport a pre-assembled storage unit to the construction site, and does not need to handle the pre-assembled storage unit during construction. Compared to assembling a kitchen unit by combining a pre-assembled storage unit with other parts, a worker can construct the kitchen unit 100 by assembling multiple parts that are easy for one person to handle, and the provision of the engaging portion 23h as described above also makes assembly of the kitchen unit 100 easy. According to the kitchen unit 100 of this embodiment, the kitchen unit 100 can be easily assembled in a short time by a small number of people, improving the construction efficiency of the kitchen unit 100.
[0069] Because there is no need to transport the storage unit 70 in a pre-assembled state to the construction site, workers can pack the parts needed to assemble the storage unit 70 together in a compact package. Compared to transporting pre-assembled storage units to the construction site, workers can load parts for a larger number of kitchen units 100 onto a transport truck at once. Because parts for multiple kitchen units 100 can be easily transported at once, for example, even if kitchen units 100 need to be installed in multiple homes in an apartment building, workers can easily transport the parts for the kitchen units 100 to be installed in each home.
[0070] Each of the multiple side wall members 20 has a side wall main body portion 21 and a first mounting member 23 fixed to the side wall main body portion 21. The first mounting member 23 has an engaging portion 23h. Providing the engaging portion 23h on the first mounting member 23, which is a separate member from the side wall main body portion 21, makes it easier to provide the engaging portion 23h on the side wall member 20. By using a metal fitting or the like as the first mounting member 23, the side wall member 20 can be stably and firmly engaged with the support portion 10. This makes it easier for an operator to fix the side wall member 20 to the support portion 10.
[0071] The kitchen unit 100 includes a drawer 40 stored in a storage section 70. The sidewall member 20, which constitutes part of the storage section 70 in which the drawer 40 is stored, has a rail member 22 that movably supports the drawer 40. The first mounting member 23 and the rail member 22 are fixed to surfaces of the sidewall main body 21 facing the same side in the left-right direction Y. This allows for a smaller dimension of the sidewall member 20 in the left-right direction Y compared to when the first mounting member 23 and the rail member 22 are fixed to different surfaces of the sidewall main body 21 in the left-right direction Y. This allows workers to more easily pack multiple sidewall members 20 in a compact package when stacking them for packaging. Because the components required to install the kitchen unit 100 can be packed in a smaller size, it is easier to load a larger number of kitchen units 100 onto a delivery truck at one time.
[0072] A plurality of drawers 40 are provided. The plurality of drawers 40 includes two or more drawers 40 having the same shape and size, i.e., a plurality of first drawers 41. Because the plurality of first drawers 41 can be standardized, the plurality of first drawers 41 can be easily stacked when transporting them. Because the plurality of first drawers 41 can be standardized, when installing the plurality of first drawers 41, the worker can install any of the first drawers 41 in any portion where the first drawer 41 is to be stored. This reduces the time and effort required for the worker to determine which drawer 40 is to be stored in which portion of the storage section 70, thereby further improving the ease of installation of the kitchen unit 100. Because the plurality of first drawers 41 can be standardized, the components constituting each first drawer 41 can be standardized, thereby reducing the number of types of components constituting the kitchen unit 100.
[0073] The first drawer section 41 is transported to the construction site disassembled into the drawer main body section 41a and the end panel section 41b. Because the drawer main body section 41a and the end panel section 41b are common to each of the multiple first drawers 41, it is easy to pack each component together. The drawer main body sections 41a can be stacked to make compact packaging. When installing multiple first drawers 41, the worker does not need to determine which drawer main body section 41a will be installed in which of the locations where the first drawers 41 will be installed. When attaching the end panel section 41b to the installed drawer main body section 41a, the worker does not need to determine which end panel section 41b will be attached to which drawer main body section 41a. This allows the worker to install multiple first drawers 41 more easily.
[0074] The interior of the storage section 70 in which the drawer 40 is housed is open downward. In other words, the storage section 70 in which the drawer 40 is housed does not have a bottom wall located below. Because the storage section 70 in which the drawer 40 is housed does not have a bottom wall, workers can easily step their feet close to the wall surface WS when installing the kitchen unit 100. This makes it easier for workers to install the kitchen unit 100. Because the storage section 70 in which the drawer 40 is housed does not have a bottom wall, the storage section 70 does not interfere with the piping connected to the kitchen unit 100, regardless of where the piping originates from on the floor surface FS. Workers can easily connect the kitchen unit 100 to the piping. Examples of piping connected to the kitchen unit 100 include water piping. Because the storage section 70 in which the drawer 40 is housed does not have a bottom wall, the number of parts constituting the kitchen unit 100 can be reduced. Since the number of parts can be reduced, the weight of the kitchen unit 100 can be reduced, and the parts constituting the kitchen unit 100 can be packed together in a smaller size.
[0075] The first mounting member 23 has a first fixing portion 23a fixed to the side wall main body portion 21 and a second fixing portion 23b fixed to the support portion 10. Because the second fixing portion 23b is provided on the first mounting member 23 provided with the engaging portion 23h, the position of the second fixing portion 23b is less likely to shift when the engaging portion 23h is engaged with the support portion 10, and the worker can easily fix the second fixing portion 23b to the support portion 10.
[0076] Second fixing portion 23b is fixed to support portion 10 by screw member 82, which passes through second fixing portion 23b and support portion 10 and is tightened into wall surface WS. By tightening screw member 82 into wall surface WS, an operator can more firmly fix second fixing portion 23b to support portion 10, and more firmly fix side wall member 20 to support portion 10. By being able to more firmly fix side wall member 20 to support portion 10, the load-bearing capacity of kitchen unit 100 can be suitably improved.
[0077] Each of the plurality of side wall members 20 has a second mounting member 24 fixed to the side wall main body portion 21. The second mounting member 24 has a third fixing portion 24a fixed to the side wall main body portion 21 and a fourth fixing portion 24b fixed to the top wall member 30. The worker can easily and firmly fix the side wall member 20 and the top wall member 30 via the second mounting member 24.
[0078] The first mounting member 23 and the second mounting member 24 are fixed to surfaces of the sidewall main body 21 facing the same side in the left-right direction Y. This allows the dimension of the sidewall member 20 in the left-right direction Y to be smaller than when the first mounting member 23 and the second mounting member 24 are fixed to different surfaces of the sidewall main body 21 in the left-right direction Y. When stacking and packing multiple sidewall members 20, workers can more efficiently pack the multiple sidewall members 20 into a compact package. Because the components required to install the kitchen unit 100 can be packed into a smaller package, it is easier to increase the number of kitchen units 100 that can be loaded onto a delivery truck at one time. In the kitchen unit 100 of this embodiment, the first mounting member 23, the second mounting member 24, and the rail member 22 are fixed to surfaces of the sidewall main body 21 facing the same side in the left-right direction Y, allowing workers to more efficiently pack the multiple sidewall members 20 into a compact package.
[0079] The support portion 10 has a first protrusion 12, and the engagement portion 23h has a first hole portion 23g into which the first protrusion 12 is inserted. By inserting the first protrusion 12 into the first hole portion 23g, the worker can easily and stably engage the side wall member 20 with the support portion 10.
[0080] The side wall member 20 has a second protrusion 25 that protrudes in the vertical direction Z, and the top wall member 30 has a second hole 31c into which the second protrusion 25 is inserted. By inserting the second protrusion 25 into the second hole 31c, the worker can easily position the side wall member 20 in the left-right direction Y and easily prevent the side wall member 20 from shifting in the left-right direction Y. The worker can easily position the multiple side wall members 20 by placing the top wall member 30 above the multiple side wall members 20. In this embodiment, by placing the top wall member 30 above the multiple side wall members 20, the worker can easily and preferably position the side wall members 20 perpendicular to the support portion 10.
[0081] A plurality of storage sections 70 are arranged side by side in the left-right direction Y. The plurality of side wall members 20 include side wall members 20 that separate the interiors of adjacent storage sections 70 in the left-right direction Y, i.e., third side wall member 20c and fourth side wall member 20d. Conventionally, when pre-assembled storage sections are assembled, two side wall members constituting each storage section are stacked between adjacent storage sections. According to the kitchen unit 100, by using one side wall member 20 as a wall that separates the interiors of adjacent storage sections 70 in the left-right direction Y, the number of walls located between the storage sections 70 can be reduced to one. This reduces the number of parts constituting the kitchen unit 100, simplifying the structure of the kitchen unit 100. This makes it easier for workers to assemble the kitchen unit 100.
[0082] The multiple sidewall members 20 include a pair of sidewall members 20, i.e., a first sidewall member 20a and a second sidewall member 20b, that respectively form portions of the exterior wall of the kitchen unit main body 100a located on both sides in the left-right direction Y. Conventionally, when assembling pre-assembled storage sections, it was necessary to provide a decorative panel or other component that constitutes the exterior wall separately from the storage section. According to the kitchen unit 100, the first sidewall member 20a and the second sidewall member 20b that constitute part of the storage section 70 can also be used as decorative components that constitute the exterior wall of the kitchen unit main body 100a. Because there is no need to provide additional components for constructing the exterior wall in addition to the first sidewall member 20a and the second sidewall member 20b, the number of parts in the kitchen unit 100 can be reduced.
[0083] The support portion 10 includes a first extension member 10a and a second extension member 10b extending in the left-right direction Y. The first extension member 10a and the second extension member 10b are spaced apart in the vertical direction Z. Each of the side wall members 20 includes an engaging portion 23h of one first mounting member 23 that engages with the first extension member 10a from above, and an engaging portion 23h of the other first mounting member 23 that engages with the second extension member 10b from above. Because the engaging portions 23h can be engaged with the support portion 10, each side wall member 20 can be temporarily fixed to the support portion 10 more stably. By fixing two first mounting members 23, each having an engaging portion 23h, to each extension member as in this embodiment, each side wall member 20 can be permanently fixed to the support portion 10 more firmly. By having the support section 10 have the first extension member 10a and the second extension member 10b spaced apart from each other in the vertical direction Z, the volume of the support section 10 can be made smaller than when the support section 10 is a member such as a backboard that covers the entire interior of each storage section 70 from the rear side (-X side). This makes it easier for workers to pack the support section 10 in a small size, and allows the parts required to install the kitchen unit 100 to be packed in a smaller size.
[0084] Kitchen unit 100 is not provided with any sealing member such as a packing. Since workers do not need to attach any sealing member during construction, kitchen unit 100 is easier to assemble.
[0085] In this embodiment, the furniture is a kitchen unit 100. The kitchen unit 100 tends to require more man-hours for installation than other furniture. The effect of improving installability described above is particularly useful when the furniture is the kitchen unit 100.
[0086] The installation method of the kitchen unit 100 is a method for installing the kitchen unit 100 having a kitchen unit main body 100a with a storage section 70, and includes the steps of fixing the support section 10 to a wall surface WS, engaging a plurality of side wall members 20 arranged at intervals in a left-right direction Y intersecting with the vertical direction Z with the support section 10 from above by engaging the engagement sections 23h provided on each of the side wall members 20 with the support section 10 in a state spaced above the floor surface FS, fixing the plurality of side wall members 20 to the support section 10, placing a top wall member 30 above the plurality of side wall members 20, and attaching the kitchen unit main body 100a, in which the portion of the storage section 70 located in the left-right direction Y is formed by the side wall members 20 and the upper portion of the storage section 70 is formed by the top wall member 30, to the wall surface WS in a state spaced above the floor surface FS. As described above, the worker can temporarily fix the plurality of side wall members 20 to the support portion 10 by engaging the engaging portions 23h with the support portion 10 from above, making it easier to assemble the kitchen unit 100. According to the installation method for the kitchen unit 100, the installability of the kitchen unit 100 can be improved.
[0087] The installation method for kitchen unit 100 includes, when fixing a plurality of side wall members 20 to support portion 10, passing screw members 82 through first mounting members 23 fixed to side wall main body portion 21 of side wall members 20 and having engagement portions 23h, and through support portion 10, and tightening screw members 82 into wall surface WS. By tightening screw members 82 into wall surface WS, the worker can firmly fix side wall members 20 to support portion 10, thereby suitably improving the load-bearing capacity of kitchen unit 100.
[0088] The installation method for kitchen unit 100 includes inserting first protrusions 12 provided on support portion 10 into first holes 23g provided in engagement portions 23h when engaging multiple side wall members 20 with support portion 10. By inserting first protrusions 12 into first holes 23g, an operator can easily engage multiple side wall members 20 with support portion 10.
[0089] The installation method for kitchen unit 100 includes, when placing top wall member 30 above multiple side wall members 20, inserting second protrusions 25 provided on side wall member 20 into second holes 31c provided in top wall member 30. When placing top wall member 30, an operator can easily position multiple side wall members 20 in the left-right direction Y by inserting second protrusions 25 into second holes 31c.
