Description

Laminated core manufacturing equipment

[0001] The present invention relates to a core manufacturing device, and more specifically, to a laminated core manufacturing device having a moving die for processing a core material that is intermittently transported to form laminas having different sizes, for example, widths.

[0002] In general, a laminated core is a core made by overlapping thin plates, or lamina, and is used as a rotor core and stator core of a generator or motor, or a core for an automobile ignition system.

[0003] Recently, a technology for manufacturing the laminated core using a progressive die has been used. More specifically, the laminae of the laminated core can be sequentially formed by blanking processing in the progressive die, and depending on the structure of the laminated core, laminae of the same shape and size can be overlapped, or laminae of different sizes, for example, widths, can be overlapped.

[0004] A specific example of a laminated core manufactured by laminae of different widths is a laminated core for an ignition system, which is also called a pencil core. FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate an example of a laminated core for the ignition system.

[0005] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the pencil core (10) may include laminae (1) that are stacked and combined in the vertical direction and have different widths. The laminae (1) may be mutually combined by interlock tabs (2), i.e., embossed projections, and the laminae (1) may be combined by forcefully fitting the interlock tab (2) formed on the upper lamina among adjacent laminae into the interlock tab of the lower lamina.

[0006] In order to manufacture the above lamina (1), the core manufacturing material, i.e. the core material, goes through multiple processes including a notching process that changes the width of the laminas and a blanking process that sequentially forms the laminas.

[0007] Korean Patent No. 10-0510059 discloses an example of a device for manufacturing a laminated core by overlapping laminas of different widths, more specifically, a device for manufacturing the pencil core described above.

[0008] Referring to FIG. 3, the pencil core manufacturing device is configured to include first and second transfer dies (30, 40) that move in a direction crossing the transfer direction (x-axis direction) of the metal strip, that is, in the width direction (y-axis direction) of the metal strip, and a cam (50) driven by a motor to reciprocate the first and second transfer dies (30, 40) in the ±y direction.

[0009] The first transfer die (30) is provided with a notching punch that moves in the z-axis direction to form one edge (1a) of the lamina (1) by punching out the metal strip, and the second transfer die (40) is provided with a notching punch that forms the other edge (1b) of the lamina (1).

[0010] The first and second transfer dies (30, 40) are moved by the cam (50) by a distance corresponding to the difference in width of the laminas (1), and the notching punch is pressed by a mold (not shown) that moves up and down in the z-axis direction to punch out the metal strip, and the width (W) of the lamina is adjusted by the change in position of the first and second transfer dies (30, 40).

[0011] The first and second transfer dies (30, 40) are connected to the cam (50) by cam connectors (31, 41). The cam connectors (31, 41) are connected to cam grooves (51) formed in the cam (50), and the positions of the first and second transfer dies (30, 40) are adjusted by the profiles of the cam grooves (51). When the positions of the first and second transfer dies (30, 40) change, the y-axis coordinates punched by the first and second transfer dies (30, 40) change, so that the width (W) of the lamina can change.

[0012] The first and second transfer dies (30, 40) above move linearly and reciprocally on the die support (11, 12), and a blanking die for blanking the metal strip is provided downstream of the first and second transfer dies (30, 40), and a core extraction path (10) for extracting a laminated core, i.e., a pencil core (10), is provided on the lower side of the blanking die.

[0013] Korean Patent No. 10-1191430 discloses an invention for manufacturing a laminated core (pencil core) by overlapping laminae of different widths, and the technology itself for manufacturing a laminated core by sequentially forming laminae of different widths using a progressive mold is known in the field of laminated core technology.

[0014] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a laminated core manufacturing device having a moving die whose position is variable by a linear motor to sequentially form laminas of different sizes and overlap them to manufacture a laminated core.

[0015] The present invention provides a laminated core manufacturing device capable of sequentially forming laminas of different sizes by processing a core material that is intermittently conveyed, comprising: a linear motor; and a moving die connected to the linear motor and having its position changed along a straight path by the linear motor so as to process the core material that is intermittently conveyed.

[0016] The above moving die may include a notching punch for striking the core material, and a notching die having a notching hole facing the notching punch and moving together with the notching punch by the linear motor.

[0017] The above-mentioned laminated core manufacturing device may further include an LM guide (Linear Motion Guide) that guides the linear movement of the moving die.

[0018] According to the present invention, the size of the lamina, for example, the width of the lamina, can be set in a variety of ranges without replacing the linear motor that moves the moving die, the number of laminates or the thickness of the laminated core can be set in various ways, the width of the laminas can be easily adjusted, and the size, i.e., the width, of the laminas can be precisely controlled when sequentially manufacturing laminas of different sizes. In addition, according to the present invention, the structure of the device for the linear movement of the moving die of the laminated core manufacturing device can be simplified, and inconveniences such as providing a laminated core manufacturing device according to the size of the laminated core or replacing the cam as a whole, as in the past, can be alleviated or eliminated.

[0028] The terms used herein are used to describe embodiments of the present invention and are not intended to limit the present invention. For example, terms related to numbers, such as "first" and "second," are used for convenience in describing embodiments of the present invention and do not define or limit the number of components included in the present invention.

[0029] And when it is said that a component is "connected" to another component, it should be understood that it may be directly connected to that other component, but it also includes an indirect connection, that is, a connection relationship in which another component exists in between.

[0030] In this specification, terms such as “include” or “have” should be understood to not exclude the possibility of adding features or components other than the features or components described in the specification.

[0031] Referring to FIGS. 5 to 7, the laminated core manufacturing device according to the present embodiment is a device that sequentially forms laminas of different sizes and manufactures a laminated core by overlapping the laminas of different sizes. For example, it can be a device that sequentially forms laminas of different widths and manufactures a laminated core for an ignition system, i.e., a pencil core.

[0032] A laminated core manufacturing device according to the present embodiment includes a linear motor (100) and a moving die (200). The moving die (200) is connected to the linear motor (100), and its position is varied along a straight path by the linear motor (100) and processes a core material (S), for example, a metal strip, which is intermittently transported.

[0033] The above linear motor is a driving device that moves an object linearly. Compared to linear motion devices such as ball screws, chains, belts, and cams in a laminated core manufacturing device, it has a simple structure and a small installation area, and the movement range, speed, and thrust of the moving die can be set in various ways. However, since the linear motor itself is a well-known device, additional description thereof is omitted.

[0034] In this embodiment, the moving die (200) is connected to the moving block (110; actuator or mover) of the linear motor (100), and can reciprocate along a straight path by the operation of the linear motor.

[0035] When the above movable block (110) moves, the moving die (200) connected to the above movable block (110) also performs linear motion, and accordingly, the processing position by the moving die (200) changes.

[0036] The above moving die (200) includes a notching punch (210) and a notching die (220) for punching out the core material (S). The notching die (210) has a notching hole (221) facing the notching punch (220), and the notching punch (210) and the notching die (220) move together by the linear motor (100).

[0037] And the moving die (220) is provided with an LM guide (400; Linear Motion Guide) that guides the linear movement of the moving die. More specifically, the notching die (220) is provided in a die block (230), and the die block (230) is provided to be able to move linearly on a die support (240) of the lower mold. And in the present embodiment, the die block (230) is connected to the movable block (110) by a block connector (300).

[0038] In the die block (230), a scrap discharge hole (231) communicating with the notching hole (221) is formed, and the LM guide (400) is provided in the die block (230) to guide the linear movement of the die block (230). For example, the slide block (410) of the LM guide (400) may be fixed to the die block (230), and the rail (420) of the LM guide (400) may be fixed to the die support (240).

[0039] The present embodiment further includes a blanking punch (510) and a blanking die (520) for sequentially forming the laminae by punching the core material (S). In addition, the present embodiment may further include an embossing punch (610) and an embossing die (620) for forming interlock tabs (embossing projections) for joining the laminae on the core material. Of course, the interfaces of the laminae may be bonded by an adhesive. Since the technology itself for manufacturing a laminated core with the interlock tabs or adhesive is known, additional description thereof is omitted.

[0040] In addition, the above-described laminated core manufacturing device may further have at least one additional punch (710) and die (720) for processing the core material in addition to the above-described moving die, blanking punch / die, and embossing punch / die.

[0041] In the present embodiment, the moving die (200) determines the width of the laminas by punching out the core material (S), i.e., the metal strip. To explain the present embodiment in more detail, the moving die (200) is a device that punches out the metal strip (S) to adjust the width of each lamina, and forms both edges of each lamina by punching out the metal strip (S), more specifically, one edge (1a; see FIG. 2) and the opposite edge (1b; see FIG. 2) of each lamina.

[0042] And the blanking punch (510) and blanking die (520) are parts that sequentially form the laminae by blanking the metal strip (S), and are provided downstream of the moving die (200) based on the transport direction of the metal strip (S).

[0043] In this embodiment, the moving die (200) includes a first moving die (200A) forming one edge of the lamina, and a second moving die (200B) forming the other edge (opposite edge) of the lamina.

[0044] The first moving die (200A) and the second moving die (200B) change positions in a direction intersecting the transport direction (x-axis direction) of the metal strip (S), for example, in a direction orthogonal to the transport direction of the metal strip (S) as in the present embodiment (y-axis direction), and punch out the metal strip (S), but this is not limited thereto, and the metal strip (S) may be punched out while moving in a diagonal direction depending on the shape of the laminas being manufactured.

[0045] In the present embodiment, the first moving die (200A) and the second moving die (200B) move in opposite directions, and the linear motors (100) are connected to each of the first moving die (200A) and the second moving die (200B). For convenience of description of the present embodiment, the linear motor connected to the first moving die (200A) is referred to as the first motor, and the linear motor connected to the second moving die (200B) is referred to as the second motor.

[0046] Accordingly, the movable block of the first motor is connected to the die block (first die block) of the first moving die, and the movable block of the second motor is connected to the die block (second die block) of the second moving die.

[0047] And, the above-mentioned laminated core manufacturing device is a press device, and the moving dies (200), that is, the first moving die (200A) and the second moving die (200B), are movably provided on the lower die (M1) of the press device, and an upper die (M2) is provided on the upper side of the lower die (M1) so as to be able to be raised and lowered, and the first moving die (200A) and the second moving die (200B) are pressed by the upper die (M2) to stamp the metal strip (S).

[0048] In the present embodiment, the first moving die (200A) and the second moving die (200B) include the notching punch (210) and the notching die (220), respectively. For the convenience of explanation of the present embodiment, the notching punch (210A) and the notching die (220A) of the first moving die (200A) are referred to as the first notching punch and the first notching die, and the notching punch (210B) and the notching die (220B) of the second moving die (200A) are referred to as the second notching punch and the second notching die.

[0049] The above metal strip (S) intermittently moves one pitch at a time from the upper side of the lower die (M1), and the lower die (M1) is equipped with the moving die (200) and the blanking die (510). In addition, a stacking hole (530) for stacking the laminae is formed on the lower side of the blanking die (520).

[0050] And, the upper mold (M2) is provided on the upper side of the lower mold (M1), and in the present embodiment, the notching, blanking, and embossing processing of the metal strip (S) are performed by the lifting and lowering movement of the upper mold (M2). That is, the present embodiment is a press device as described above, more specifically, a progressive mold type laminated core manufacturing device.

[0051] More specifically, the upper die (M2) is equipped with a blanking punch (510) and an embossing punch (610). The metal strip (S) is supplied between the lower die (M1) and the upper die (M2) and passes between the notching punch (210) and the notching die (220) of the moving die.

[0052] The first moving die (200A) is positioned variable by the first motor and forms one edge (1a) of the lamina. The second moving die (200B) is positioned variable by the second motor and forms the other edge (1b) of the lamina.

[0053] The above-described notching punch (210) is provided on the upper side of the above-described notching die (220), and the notching punch (210) is provided in the punch block (211). More specifically, the first notching punch (210A) is provided in the first punch block (211a), and the second notching punch (210B) is provided in the second punch block (211b).

[0054] The first punch block (211a) moves in the same direction as the first die block (230A) by the first motor, and the second punch block (211b) moves in the same direction as the second die block (230B) by the second motor.

[0055] And the first die block (230A) and the second die block (230B) are each provided to be slidable on the die support (240) of the lower die (M1) by the LM guide (400).

[0056] In this embodiment, the first punch block (211a) is provided on the upper side of the first die block (230A), and the second punch block (211b) is provided on the upper side of the second die block (230B). The first punch block (211a) and the second punch block (211b) are pressed against the upper mold (M2) to descend, and are elastically supported upward by an elastic member such as a spring so that they return to their original positions when the upper mold (M2) rises.

[0057] When the first punch block (211a) and the second punch block (211b) are pressed down by the mold (M2) and lowered, the notching punches (210) mounted on the punch blocks are lowered to perform a process of punching out a metal strip, i.e., a notching process of forming one edge and the other edge of the lamina.

[0058] The descent of the above punch blocks (211) is achieved by the pressure of the upper mold (M2) as described above, and the elevation of the above punch blocks (211) can be achieved by the elastic restoring force of the spring.

[0059] In order to sequentially manufacture laminas of different widths, the notching punches (210) may optionally omit the punching of the metal strip (S). More specifically, the notching process by the moving die (200) is omitted when forming the lamina having the maximum width among the laminas forming the aforementioned pencil core. For this purpose, in the present embodiment, a notching regulator (800) is provided in the upper mold (M2).

[0060] In the present embodiment, the notching regulator (800) includes a lever (810) movably provided on the upper part (M2), a mating piece (820) selectively engaged with the lever (810), and an actuator (not shown) selectively moving the lever (810).

[0061] Examples of the actuator include a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder or a solenoid, and when the actuator horizontally pulls and pushes the lever (810), if the teeth of the lever (810) and the teeth of the opposing piece (820) engage, even if the upper mold is lowered, pressure on the punch block (211) is prevented, and as a result, the notching process by the notching punch can be omitted.

[0062] Conversely, if the teeth of the lever (810) and the teeth of the mating piece (820) are misaligned by the movement of the lever (810), when the upper mold (M2) is lowered, the punch block (211) is pressed by the mating piece and lowered, and the notching process by the notching punch (210) can proceed.

[0063] The above notching regulator (800) is a slide cam that changes the direction of movement. Since this mechanism itself is a known technology, additional description is omitted.

[0064] The scrap separated from the metal strip by the first moving die (200A) and the second moving die (200B) is discharged through the scrap discharge holes (231) of the die blocks.

[0065] The processing mechanism of the metal strip by the above-mentioned notching punches (210) is disclosed in patent documents such as Korean Patent Nos. 10-0510059, 10-1191430, and 10-1236927, and since the blanking punch / die, etc. in the laminated core manufacturing device is a technology known in the art, additional description of the moving die (200), blanking punch, blanking die, etc. is omitted.

[0066] According to this embodiment, the position of the first notching punch (210A) is varied in the width direction of the metal strip by the first motor, the position of the second notching punch (210B) is varied in the width direction of the metal strip by the second motor, and the first notching punch (210A) and the second notching punch (210B) move in opposite directions to change the notching processing position.

[0067] Although the above-described embodiment exemplifies the manufacture of pencil cores, the example of the laminated core manufacturing device according to the present invention is not limited thereto, and the laminated core manufacturing device having the above-described moving die can also be used for the manufacture of other cores having shapes with different widths or thicknesses, such as axial motor cores, for example, stator cores of axial motors.

[0068] As described above, preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described, and it is obvious to those skilled in the art that the present invention can be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or scope thereof, in addition to the embodiments described above.

[0069] Therefore, the above-described embodiments should be considered as illustrative rather than restrictive, and accordingly, the present invention is not limited to the above description but may be modified within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.

[0070] The present invention can be used in the manufacturing of laminated cores, etc., and according to the present invention, laminated cores can be manufactured by overlapping laminae having different widths.
