These various types of communication modules can be integrated into a single component (e.g., a single chip) or implemented as multiple separate components (e.g., multiple chips). The wireless communication module (192) can verify or authenticate the electronic device (101) within a communication network such as the first network (198) or the second network (199) by using subscriber information (e.g., an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI)) stored in the subscriber identification module (196).

[0053] The wireless communication module (192) can support 5G networks and next-generation communication technologies following the 4G network, such as NR access technology (new radio access technology). [0056] At least some of the above components can be interconnected and exchange signals (e.g., commands or data) with each other via a communication method between peripheral devices (e.g., a bus, GPIO (general purpose input and output), SPI (serial peripheral interface), or MIPI (mobile industry processor interface)).

[0057] According to one embodiment, commands or data may be transmitted or received between the electronic device (101) and an external electronic device (104) via a server (108) connected to a second network (199). Each of the external electronic devices (102 or 104) may be the same or a different type of device as the electronic device (101). According to one embodiment, all or part of the operations executed in the electronic device (101) may be executed in one or more of the external electronic devices (102, 104, or 108). For example, when the electronic device (101) is to perform a certain function or service automatically or in response to a request from a user or another device, the electronic device (101) may, instead of or in addition to executing the function or service itself, request one or more external electronic devices to perform the function or at least part of the service. One or more external electronic devices that receive the request may execute at least a portion of the requested function or service, or an additional function or service related to the request, and transmit the result of the execution to the electronic device (101). The electronic device (101) may process the result as is or additionally and provide it as at least a portion of a response to the request. For this purpose, cloud computing, distributed computing, mobile edge computing (MEC), or client-server computing technology may be used, for example. The electronic device (101) may provide an ultra-low latency service by using distributed computing or mobile edge computing, for example. In another embodiment, the external electronic device (104) may include an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The server (108) may be an intelligent server utilizing machine learning and / or a neural network. According to one embodiment, the external electronic device (104) or the server (108) may be included in the second network (199).The electronic device (101) can be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart city, smart car, or healthcare) based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology.

[0058] For example, the display of the display module (160) may be flexible. For example, the display may include a display area that is exposed outside the housing of the electronic device (101), which provides at least a portion of the outer surface of the electronic device (101). For example, since the display has flexibility, at least a portion of the display may be rollable into the housing or slidable into the housing. For example, the size of the display area may change depending on the size of the at least a portion of the display that is rolled into the housing or slid into the housing. For example, the electronic device (101) including the display may be in a plurality of states, including a first state providing the display area having a first size and a second state providing the display area having a second size different from the first size. For example, the first state may be exemplified through the description of FIGS. 2A and 2B.

[0059] FIG. 2A is a top plan view of an electronic device according to one embodiment in a first state.

[0060] Referring to FIG. 2A, the electronic device (101) may include a housing (201) and a display (230) (e.g., the display). For example, the housing (201) may include a first housing part (210) and a second housing part (220). For example, the first housing part (210) may be movable relative to the second housing part (220) in a first direction (261) parallel to the y-axis or in a second direction (262) parallel to the y-axis and opposite to the first direction (261). Although the first housing part (210) is described as being moved relative to the second housing part (220) within the present disclosure, this is not limited thereto. For example, the housing (201) may have a structure in which the overall size of the housing (201) may change according to a change in the relative positional relationship between the first housing part (210) and the second housing part (220). For example, the relative positional relationship between the first housing part (210) and the second housing part (220) may be changed by the operation of a motor (e.g., motor (361) of FIG. 3A) to be described later. For example, by the motor (361), the second housing part (220) may be movable with respect to the first housing part (210), or both the first housing part (210) and the second housing part (220) may be movable.

[0061] The electronic device (101) may be in the first state. For example, within the first state, the second housing part (220) may be movable relative to the first housing part (210) in a first direction (261) among the first direction (261) and the second direction (262). For example, within the first state, the second housing part (220) may not be substantially movable relative to the first housing part (210) in the second direction (262).

[0062] Within the first state, the display (230) can provide the display area having the smallest size. For example, within the first state, the display area can correspond to the first display area (230a). For example, although not shown in FIG. 2A, within the first state, a second display area (e.g., the second display area (230b) of FIG. 2C) of the display (230) that is different from the first display area (230a) can be included within the first housing part (210). For example, within the first state, the area (e.g., the second display area (230b) of FIG. 2C) can be covered by the first housing part (210). For example, within the first state, the area can be rolled into the first housing part (210). For example, within the first state, the first display area (230a) may include a planar portion. However, this is not limited thereto. For example, the first display area (230a) may also include a curved portion extending from the planar portion and positioned within an edge portion within the first state.

[0063] The first state may be referred to as a slide-in state or a closed state in that at least a portion of the second housing part (220) is positioned within the first housing part (210). For example, the first state may be referred to as a reduced state in that it provides the display area with the smallest size. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0064] The second housing part (220) may include a first image sensor (250-1) within the camera module (180) that is exposed through a portion of the first display area (230a) and faces in a third direction (263) parallel to the z-axis. For example, although not illustrated in FIG. 2A, the second housing part (220) may include one or more second image sensors within the camera module (180) that are exposed through a portion of the second housing part (220) and faces in a fourth direction (264) parallel to the z-axis and opposite to the third direction (263). For example, the one or more second image sensors may be exemplified through the description of FIG. 2B.

[0065] FIG. 2b is a bottom view of an electronic device according to one embodiment in a first state.

[0066] Referring to FIG. 2B, within the first state, one or more second image sensors (250-2) disposed within the second housing part (220) may be positioned within a structure disposed within the first housing part (210) for the one or more second image sensors (250-2). For example, light from outside the electronic device (101) may be received by the one or more second image sensors (250-2) through the structure within the first state. For example, since the one or more second image sensors (250-2) are positioned within the structure within the first state, the one or more second image sensors (250-2) may be exposed through the structure within the first state. The structure may be implemented in various ways. For example, the structure may be an opening or a notch. For example, the structure may be an opening (212a) in the first plate (212) of the first housing part (210) that surrounds at least a portion of the second housing part (220). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, in the first state, one or more second image sensors (250-2) included in the second housing part (220) may be covered by the first plate (212) of the first housing part (210).

[0067] The above first state can be changed to the above second state.

[0068] The first state (or the second state) can be changed to the second state (or the first state) through intermediate states between the first state and the second state.

[0069] The first state (or the second state) may be changed to the second state (or the first state) based on a user input. For example, the first state (or the second state) may be changed to the second state (or the first state) in response to a user input to a physical button exposed through a part of the first housing part (210) or a part of the second housing part (220). For example, the first state (or the second state) may be changed to the second state (or the first state) in response to a touch input to an executable object displayed within the display area. For example, the first state (or the second state) may be changed to the second state (or the first state) in response to a touch input having a contact point on the display area and having a pressing strength greater than or equal to a reference strength. For example, the first state (or the second state) may be changed to the second state (or the first state) in response to a voice input received through a microphone of the electronic device (101). For example, the first state (or the second state) may be changed to the second state (or the first state) in response to an external force applied to the first housing part (210) and / or the second housing part (220) to move the second housing part (220) with respect to the first housing part (210). For example, the first state (or the second state) may be changed to the second state (or the first state) in response to a user input identified from an external electronic device (e.g., earbuds or a smart watch) connected to the electronic device (101). However, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0070] The above second state can be illustrated through the description of FIG. 2c and FIG. 2d.

[0071] FIG. 2c is a plan view of an electronic device according to one embodiment in a second state.

[0072] Referring to FIG. 2C, the electronic device (101) may be in the second state. For example, in the second state, the second housing part (220) may be movable relative to the first housing part (210) in the second direction (262) among the first direction (261) and the second direction (262). For example, in the second state, the second housing part (220) may not be substantially movable relative to the first housing part (210) in the first direction (261).

[0073] Within the second state, the display (230) can provide the display area having the largest size. For example, within the second state, the display area can correspond to an area (230c) including a first display area (230a) and a second display area (230b). For example, the second display area (230b), which was included within the first housing part (210) within the first state, can be exposed within the second state. For example, within the second state, the first display area (230a) can include a flat portion. However, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the first display area (230a) can also include a curved portion extending from the flat portion and positioned within the edge portion. For example, within the second state, the second display area (230b), unlike the first display area (230a) within the first state, can include a flat portion among the flat portion and the curved portion. However, it is not limited thereto. For example, the second display area (230b) may include a curved portion extending from the planar portion of the second display area (230b) and positioned within the edge portion.

[0074] The second state may be referred to as a slide-out state or an open state in that at least a portion of the second housing part (220) disposed outside the first housing part (210) extends relative to the first state. For example, the second state may be referred to as an expanded state in that it provides the display area having the largest size. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0075] The first image sensor (250-1) facing the third direction (263) may move together with the first display area (230a) according to the movement of the second housing part (220) in the first direction (261) when the state of the electronic device (101) changes from the first state to the second state. For example, although not shown in FIG. 2c, one or more second image sensors (250-2) facing the fourth direction (264) may move according to the movement of the second housing part (220) in the first direction (261) when the state of the electronic device (101) changes from the first state to the second state. For example, the relative positional relationship between one or more second image sensors (250-2) and the structure illustrated through the description of FIG. 2d may change according to the movement of one or more second image sensors (250-2). For example, the change in the above relative position relationship can be illustrated through Fig. 2d.

[0076] FIG. 2d is a bottom view of an electronic device according to one embodiment in a second state.

[0077] Referring to FIG. 2d, within the second state, one or more second image sensors (250-2) may be positioned outside the structure. For example, the structure may include an opening (212a). For example, within the second state, one or more second image sensors (250-2) may be positioned outside the opening (212a) in the first plate (212). For example, one or more second image sensors (250-2) may be exposed through the opening (212a) within the first state. For example, because one or more second image sensors (250-2) are positioned outside the first housing part (210) within the second state, one or more second image sensors (250-2) may be exposed within the second state. For example, since one or more second image sensors (250-2) are positioned outside the structure within the second state, the relative positional relationship within the second state may be different from the relative positional relationship within the first state.

[0078] If the electronic device (101) does not include the above structure such as the opening (212a), one or more second image sensors (250-2) may be exposed within the second state among the first state and the second state.

[0079] Although not shown in FIGS. 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D, the electronic device (101) may be in an intermediate state between the first state and the second state. The size of the display area in the intermediate state may be larger than the size of the display area in the first state and smaller than the size of the display area in the second state. The display area in the intermediate state may correspond to an area including a portion of the first display area (230a) and the second display area (230b). In the intermediate state, a portion of the second display area (230b) may be exposed, and another portion (or a remaining portion) of the second display area (230b) may be covered by the first housing part (210) or rolled into the first housing part (210). However, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0080] Referring back to FIG. 1, the electronic device (101) may include structures for moving a second housing (e.g., a second housing part (220) of FIG. 2A) of the electronic device (101) relative to a first housing (e.g., a first housing part (210) of FIG. 2A) of the electronic device (101). The structures may be exemplified through the description of FIGS. 3A and 3B.

[0081] FIGS. 3A and 3B are exploded perspective views of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0082] Referring to FIGS. 3A and 3B, the electronic device (101) may include a first housing part (210), a second housing part (220), a display (230), and a driving unit (360).

[0083] The first housing part (210) may include a first cover (311), a first plate (212), and a frame (313).

[0084] The first cover (311) may at least partially form a side portion of an outer surface of the electronic device (101). The first cover (311) may include an opening (311a) for one or more second image sensors (250-2). The first cover (311) may include a surface that supports the first plate (212). The first cover (311) may be coupled with the first plate (212). The first cover (311) may include a frame (313). The first cover (311) may be coupled with the frame (313).

[0085] The first plate (212) may at least partially form the rear portion of the outer surface. The first plate (212) may include an opening (212a) for one or more second image sensors (250-2). The first plate (212) may be disposed on the surface of the first cover (311). The opening (212a) may be aligned with the opening (311a).

[0086] The frame (313) may be at least partially surrounded by the first cover (311).

[0087] The frame (313) may be at least partially wrapped by the display (230). Although the frame (313) is at least partially wrapped by the display (230), the position of the frame (313) may be maintained independently of movement of the display (230). The frame (313) may be arranged in relation to at least some of the components of the display (230). The frame (313) may include rails (313a) that provide (or guide) a path for movement of at least one component of the display (230).

[0088] The frame (313) can be coupled with at least one component of the electronic device (101). The frame (313) can support the battery (189). The battery (189) can be supported through a recess or hole in a surface (313b) of the frame (313). The frame (313) can be coupled to one end of a flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) (325) on a surface of the frame (313). Although not explicitly shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B , the other end of the FPCB (325) can be connected to a PCB (324) through at least one connector. The PCB (324) can be electrically connected to another PCB (not shown in FIGS. 3A and 3B ) that supplies power to the motor (361) through the FPCB (325).

[0089] The frame (313) can be combined with at least one structure of the electronic device (101) for a plurality of states including the first state and the second state. The frame (313) can fasten the motor (361) of the driving unit (360).

[0090] The second housing part (220) may include a second cover (321) and a second plate (322).

[0091] The second cover (321) may be at least partially wrapped by the display (230). For example, the second cover (321) may be combined with at least a portion of the first display area (230a) of the display (230) that wraps the second cover (321).

[0092] The second cover (321) may be coupled with at least one component of the electronic device (101). For example, the second cover (321) may be coupled with a printed circuit board (PCB) (324) including components of the electronic device (101). The PCB (324) may include a processor (e.g., the processor (120) of FIG. 1). For example, the second cover (321) may support one or more second image sensors (250-2).

[0093] The second cover (321) can be combined with the second plate (322).

[0094] For example, the second plate (322) may be coupled with the second cover (321) to protect at least one component of the electronic device (101) coupled within the second cover (321) and / or at least one structure of the electronic device (101) coupled within the second cover (321). The second plate (322) may include a structure for the at least one component. For example, the second plate (322) may include one or more openings (326) for one or more second image sensors (250-2). The one or more openings (326) may be aligned with one or more second image sensors (250-2) disposed on the second cover (321). The size of each of the one or more openings (326) may correspond to the size of each of the lenses included in the one or more second image sensors (250-2).

[0095] The electronic device (101) may include a support member (331) for supporting at least a portion of the display (230). The support member (331) may include a plurality of bars. For example, the plurality of bars may be coupled to each other. The support member (331) may support a second display area (230b) of the display (230).

[0096] The driving unit (360) may include a motor (361), a pinion gear (362), and a rack gear (363).

[0097] For example, the motor (361) may operate based on power from the battery (189). The power may be provided to the motor (361) in response to the user input.

[0098] For example, the pinion gear (362) may be coupled to the motor (361) via a shaft. For example, the pinion gear (362) may be rotated based on the motion of the motor (361) transmitted via the shaft.

[0099] For example, the rack gear (363) can be arranged in relation to the pinion gear (362). Teeth of the rack gear (363) can mesh with teeth of the pinion gear (362). The rack gear (363) can be moved in the first direction (261) or the second direction (262) according to the rotation of the pinion gear (362). The rack gear (363) can be coupled with the first housing part (210) or the second housing part (220). The second housing part (220) can be moved in the first direction (261) and the second direction (262) by the rack gear (363) that is moved according to the rotation of the pinion gear (362) due to the operation of the motor (361). The first state of the electronic device (101) can be changed to a state different from the first state (e.g., one or more intermediate states or the second state) through the movement of the second housing part (220) in the first direction (261). The second state of the electronic device (101) can be changed to a state different from the second state (e.g., one or more intermediate states or the first state) through the movement of the second housing part (220) in the second direction (262). The change of the first state to the second state by the driving unit (360) and the change of the second state to the first state by the driving unit (360) can be exemplified through FIGS. 4A and 4B.

[0100] FIG. 4A is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device according to one embodiment in a first state. FIG. 4B is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device according to one embodiment in a second state.

[0101] FIG. 4A is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment, taken along line A-A' of FIG. 2A. FIG. 4B is a cross-sectional view of an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment, taken along line B-B' of FIG. 2C.

[0102] Referring to FIGS. 4A and 4B, the motor (361) can be operated based at least in part on the defined user input received within the first state (490). For example, the pinion gear (362) can be rotated in the first rotational direction (411) based at least in part on the operation of the motor (361). For example, the rack gear (363) can be moved in the first direction (261) based at least in part on the rotation of the pinion gear (362) in the first rotational direction (411). The second housing part (220) can be moved in the first direction (261) based at least in part on the movement of the rack gear (363) in the first direction (261). The second cover (321) within the second housing part (220) can be moved at least in part based on the movement of the rack gear (363) in the first direction (261). The display (230) can be moved along the rails (313a). The shape of at least a portion of the plurality of bars of the support member (331) of the display (230) can be changed when the state (490) is changed to the second state (495).

[0103] The second display area (230b) of the display (230) can be moved according to the movement of the display (230). The second display area (230b) can be moved through the space between the first cover (311) and the frame (313) when the state (490) is changed to the state (495) according to the user input defined above. The second display area (230b) in the state (495) can be exposed, unlike the second display area (230b) that is rolled into the space in the state (490).

[0104] The second cover (321) within the second housing part (220) is coupled with the PCB (324) connected to the other end of the FPCB (325) and fixes the rack gear (363), so that the shape of the FPCB (325) can be changed when the state (490) is changed to the state (495).

[0105] The motor (361) can be operated based at least in part on the defined user input received within the state (495). The pinion gear (362) can be rotated in the second rotational direction (412) based at least in part on the operation of the motor (361). The rack gear (363) can be moved in the second direction (262) based at least in part on the rotation of the pinion gear (362) in the second rotational direction (412). The second housing part (220) can be moved in the second direction (262) based at least in part on the movement of the rack gear (363) in the second direction (262). The display (230) can be moved based at least in part on the movement of the rack gear (363) in the second direction (262). The display (230) can be moved along the rails (313a). The shape of at least a portion of the plurality of bars of the support member (331) of the display (230) can be changed when the state (495) is changed to the state (490). The support member (331) can be moved with respect to the first housing part (210). The support member (331) housed inside the first housing part (210) in the state (490) can be positioned between the first cover (311) and the frame (313). As the support member (331) moves, the display (230) can be moved with respect to the first housing part (210).

[0106] The second display area (230b) of the display (230) can be moved according to the movement of the display (230). The second display area (230b) can be moved through the space between the first cover (311) and the frame (313) when the state (495) is changed to the state (490) according to the user input defined above. The second display area (230b) in the state (490) can be rolled into the space, unlike the second display area (230b) exposed in the state (495).

[0107] The second cover (321) of the second housing part (220) is coupled with the PCB (324) connected to the other end of the FPCB (325) and fixes the rack gear (363), so that the shape of the FPCB (325) can be changed when the state (495) is changed to the state (490).

[0108] The electronic device (101) may lack space for mounting an antenna because it includes structures and / or components for sliding movement. The flexible display (230) of the electronic device (101) may be located at least partially within the housing (201). A driving unit (e.g., a motor, a rack gear, and / or a pinion gear) for sliding movement of the second housing part (220) may be located within the housing (201). For example, the above structures and / or components may result in lack of space for mounting an antenna.

[0109] An electronic device (101) according to one embodiment can improve the lack of space for arranging an antenna by using at least a part of a conductive sheet (540) of a flexible display (230) occupying an internal space of a housing (201) as an antenna radiator.

[0110] Hereinafter, one or more components to be described with reference to the drawings may be implemented together with components of the electronic device (101) described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4b. The same reference numerals are assigned to components identical to those described above, and redundant descriptions may be omitted.

[0111] In this disclosure, relative terms such as "front" and "rear" are used for convenience of explanation based on the directions depicted in the drawings and are not intended as absolute terms. For example, "front" and "rear" are used as terms to refer to opposite sides and are not limited to absolute directions.

[0112] FIG. 5A illustrates a front surface of an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 5B illustrates a rear surface and an interior of an electronic device according to one embodiment when the electronic device is in a first state. FIG. 5C illustrates a rear surface and an interior of an electronic device according to one embodiment when the electronic device is in a second state. FIG. 5D is a block diagram of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0113] Referring to FIG. 5A, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a housing (201) and a flexible display (230).

[0114] The housing (201) may include a first housing part (210) and a second housing part (220). For example, the second housing part (220) may be movably connected to the first housing part (210). For example, image (501) of FIG. 5A illustrates a front view of the electronic device (101) in a first state in which the second housing part (220) is maximally inserted into the interior of the first housing part (210). For example, image (502) of FIG. 5A illustrates a front view of the electronic device (101) in a second state in which the second housing part (220) is maximally extended out of the exterior of the first housing part (210). Although not illustrated, the electronic device (101) may also be in a plurality of intermediate states between the first state and the second state.

[0115] At least a portion of the flexible display (230) may be exposed to the outside of the housing (201). For example, the flexible display (230) may include an active area (510). For example, the active area (510) may be referred to as a display area for displaying visual information. For example, the active area (510) may include a plurality of pixels for displaying visual information. The plurality of pixels may be controlled by a display driver integrated circuit (DDI) (e.g., a display driver integrated circuit (DDI) of FIG. 9A) to display visual information. For example, the active area (510) may be positioned outside the housing (201) within a first state, a second state, and / or a plurality of intermediate states, thereby providing visual information to a user.

[0116] The size of the active area (510) exposed to the outside of the housing (201) may vary depending on the state of the electronic device (101). For example, in a first state, the size of the active area (510) exposed to the outside of the housing (201) may be minimum. For example, in a second state, the size of the active area (510) exposed to the outside of the housing (201) may be maximum. For example, in a plurality of intermediate states, the size of the active area (510) located outside of the housing (201) may be larger than in the first state and smaller than in the second state. A user may adjust the size of the active area (510) exposed to the outside of the housing (201) by controlling the state of the electronic device (101). As the size of the active area (510) exposed to the outside of the housing (201) is adjusted, the size of visual information displayed within the active area (510) may be adjusted.

[0117] Within the first state, a portion (510a) of the active area (510) may be located outside the housing (201). For example, within the first state, another portion (510b) of the active area (510) (e.g., another portion (510b) of the image (502)) may not be visible because it is located inside the housing (201). For example, when the electronic device (101) changes from the first state to the second state, the other portion (510b) of the active area (510) that was located inside the housing (201) within the first state may be visible because it is located outside the housing (201).

[0118] Referring to FIGS. 5B and 5C, a portion of the flexible display (230) may be positioned within the housing (201) within a first state, a second state, and / or a plurality of intermediate states. For example, image (503) of FIG. 5B illustrates a rear view of the electronic device (101) within the first state. For example, image (504) of FIG. 5B is a cross-sectional view taken along line C-C' of image (503) of FIG. 5B of the electronic device (101) according to one embodiment.

[0119] Referring to images (503) and (504) of FIG. 5B, within the first state, a portion of the active area (510) may be located inside the housing (201). For example, the first state is a state in which the size of the flexible display (230) exposed to the outside of the housing (201) is minimal, and within the first state, a portion of the active area (510) (e.g., a portion (510a) of FIG. 5A) may be located outside the housing (201). Within the first state, another portion (510b) of the active area (510) may be located inside the housing (201). For example, the other portion (510b) of the active area (510) located inside the housing (201) may be covered by the first housing part (210).

[0120] For example, image (505) of FIG. 5c illustrates the back of the electronic device (101) within the second state. For example, image (506) of FIG. 5b is a cross-sectional view taken along line D-D' of image (505) of FIG. 5b of the electronic device (101) according to one embodiment.

[0121] Referring to images (505) and (506) of FIG. 5c, in order for the electronic device (101) to change from the first state to the second state, the second housing part (220) may move in the first direction (261). For example, by the movement of the second housing part (220) in the first direction (261), the other part (510b) of the active area (510) that was located inside the housing (201) may move at least partially to the outside of the housing (201). For example, as the other part (510b) of the active area (510) is at least partially pulled out to the outside of the housing (201), the size of the active area (510) that is visible from the outside of the housing (201) in the second state may increase. For example, referring to image (506) of FIG. 5b, the other part (510b) of the active area (510) may be positioned at least partially inside the first housing part (210) in a curved state.

[0122] Referring to FIGS. 5b and 5c, the flexible display (230) may include a non-active region (520). For example, the non-active region (520) may extend from another portion (510b) of the active region (510) toward the interior of the housing (201). For example, the non-active region (520) may be a portion of the flexible display (230) that is not visible from the outside by being located inside the housing (201) independently of the state of the electronic device (101). For example, the non-active region (520) may be an area that does not include a plurality of pixels for displaying visual information because it is always located inside the housing (201). For example, the non-active region (520) may maintain a substantially flat shape independently of the movement of the second housing part (220). For example, the non-active region (520) may be substantially flat within the first and second states. However, this is not limited thereto. For example, the non-active region (520) may also be partially curved within the second state of the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 5C. For example, the non-active region (520) may also be referred to as a hidden area in that it is not visible from the outside.

[0123] For example, since the non-active area (520) is positioned inside the housing (201) independently of the movement of the second housing part (220), it may occupy the interior space of the housing (201). In an embodiment, the electronic device (101) may not have enough space to place other components inside the housing (201) because a part of the flexible display (230) is positioned inside the housing (201). For example, a plurality of antennas may be included in the electronic device (101) to communicate with an external electronic device using signals on a plurality of frequency bands. For example, since the non-active area (520) occupies the interior space of the housing (201), there may not be enough space to place the plurality of antennas. In an embodiment, the electronic device (101) may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device by using at least a part of the non-active area (520) as an antenna radiator.

[0124] Referring to FIG. 5d, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a processor (120), a wireless communication circuit (e.g., a wireless communication module (192) of FIG. 1), a first antenna (581), and / or a second antenna (582).

[0125] The processor (120) may include a processing circuit. The processor (120) may include, but is not limited to, an application processor (AP, e.g., a central processing unit (CPU)) and / or a communication processor (CP, e.g., a modem). The processor (120) may include, but is not limited to, a graphics processing unit (e.g., a GPU), a neural processing unit (NPU) (e.g., an artificial intelligence (AI) chip), a wireless-fidelity (Wi-Fi) chip, a Bluetooth TMIt may include a chip, a global positioning system (GPS) chip, a near field communication (NFC) chip, connectivity chips, a sensor controller, a touch controller, a finger-print sensor controller, a display drive integrated circuit (DDI), an audio CODEC chip, a universal serial bus (USB) controller, a camera controller, an image processing IC, a microprocessor unit (MPU), a system on chip (SoC), an IC, or a similar circuit.

[0126] The wireless communication circuit (192) may include an RF (radio frequency) transceiver (583) and an RFFE (radio frequency front end) (584).

[0127] The processor (120) can generate a baseband signal. The processor (120) can control the RF transceiver (583) to process the generated baseband signal. The processor (120) can control the RF transceiver (583) to transmit a transmission signal through the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582). The processor (120) can control the RF transceiver (583) to transmit the transmission signal in a frequency band that can communicate with an external electronic device.

[0128] The RF transceiver (583) may be implemented as a single chip (e.g., an RFIC chip) or as part of a single package. The RF transceiver (583) may include a digital to analog converter (DAC) for converting a digital signal to an analog signal. The RF transceiver (583) may include a mixer and an oscillator (e.g., a local oscillator (LO)) for up-conversion. The RF transceiver (583) may convert a baseband signal generated by the processor (120) into an RF signal. The RF transceiver (583) may include an analog to digital converter (ADC) for converting an analog signal to a digital signal. The RF transceiver (583) may include a mixer and an oscillator for down-conversion. The RF transceiver (583) can convert RF signals received from the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582) into baseband signals so that they can be processed by the processor (120).

[0129] The RFFE (584) may include a plurality of components electrically connected between the RF transceiver (583) and an antenna (e.g., the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582)). For example, the RFFE (584) may include components such as, but not limited to, a coupler, a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier (LNA), a switching circuit, and / or a duplexer.

[0130] For example, the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582) may be used to transmit and / or receive signals on a designated frequency band. For example, the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582) may include a feed point to which a feed signal provided from an RF transceiver (583) is provided and a ground point electrically connected to the ground of the electronic device (101). For example, the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582) may include an antenna radiator, which is a physical configuration for radiating or receiving electromagnetic waves. For example, the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582) may use at least a portion of the non-active area (520) of the flexible display (230) as the antenna radiator.

[0131] An electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a connecting member for electrically connecting a wireless communication circuit (192) and a first antenna (581) and / or a second antenna (582). For example, the processor (120) and the wireless communication circuit (192) may be disposed on a printed circuit board (570). For example, the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582) may be electrically connected to the printed circuit board (570) on which the wireless communication circuit (192) is disposed, through the connecting member. For example, the connecting member may include, but is not limited to, a c-clip, a conductive poron, and / or a conductive pin for electrically connecting the printed circuit board (570) and the first antenna (581) and / or the second antenna (582).

[0132] Referring back to FIG. 5B, the flexible display (230) may include a plurality of layers (530). For example, the plurality of layers (530) may include, but are not limited to, a display panel on which a plurality of pixels are arranged, an electromagnetic induction panel for receiving input from an external electronic device (e.g., an electronic pen and / or a stylus pen), an adhesive layer, a polarizing layer, and / or a waterproof layer. For example, the flexible display (230) may include a conductive sheet (540) forming one layer among the plurality of layers (530). For example, the conductive sheet (540) may include a conductive material (e.g., copper).

[0133] For example, the conductive sheet (540) may include an electrostatic discharge (ESD) sheet, a support sheet, and / or a noise shielding sheet. For example, the electrostatic discharge sheet may be configured to reduce malfunction and damage of electronic components due to static electricity by inducing static electricity generated from the electronic device (101) to the outside. For example, the electrostatic discharge sheet may include a conductive material to induce static electricity. For example, the support sheet may protect the flexible display (230) from external force by supporting the plurality of layers (530). For example, the support sheet may include a conductive material to provide rigidity. For example, the noise shielding sheet may reduce electromagnetic interference between the flexible display (230) and other electronic components. For example, the noise shielding sheet may include a conductive material to reduce electromagnetic waves. The examples of the above-described challenge sheet (540) are merely exemplary and are not limiting.

[0134] For example, the conductive sheet (540) may include a first portion (541) and a second portion (542). For example, the first portion (541) may be a portion of the conductive sheet (540) positioned within the active area (510). For example, the second portion (542) may be a portion of the conductive sheet (540) positioned within the non-active area (520). For example, at least a portion of the second portion (542) positioned within the non-active area (520) may function as an antenna radiator used for communication with an external electronic device. For example, since the second portion (542) is positioned within the non-active area (520), it may be positioned within the housing (201) independently of the movement of the second housing part (220). The shape of the second portion (542) may correspond to the shape of the non-active area (520). For example, if the non-active region (520) maintains a substantially flat shape, the second portion (542) may also maintain a flat shape. However, this is not limited thereto. As described above, if the non-active region (520) is partially bent within the second state, the second portion (542) may also be partially bent.

[0135] For example, the second portion (542) may include at least one feed point (550) and at least one ground point (560). For example, the at least one feed point (550) may be electrically connected to a wireless communication circuit (e.g., the wireless communication circuit (192) of FIG. 5D). For example, at least a portion of the second portion (542) may radiate electromagnetic waves based on power provided from the RF transceiver (583) to the at least one feed point (550). For example, the at least one ground point (560) may be electrically connected to the ground of the electronic device (101), thereby reducing reflection and / or interference of the electromagnetic waves and maintaining the performance of the antenna. For example, at least a portion of the second portion (542) used as an antenna radiator may be distinguished from other portions of the conductive sheet (540) by the at least one ground point (560). For example, the aforementioned connecting member may electrically connect at least one power point (550) to a wireless communication circuit (192). For example, the aforementioned connecting member may electrically connect at least one ground point (560) to ground.

[0136] For example, at least a portion of the second portion (542) may transmit signals to and / or receive signals from an external electronic device by radiating electromagnetic waves based on power provided to at least one feed point (550). For example, the electromagnetic waves radiated through at least a portion of the second portion (542) may be radiated substantially in a direction toward the rear of the first housing part (210). An electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may communicate with an external electronic device by using at least a portion of the second portion (542) of the flexible display (230).

[0137] For example, the second part (542) used as an antenna radiator can be electrically separated from the first part (541) by at least one grounding point (560). For example, when power is supplied to at least one feeding point (550), a radiating current can be formed along at least a portion of the second part (542). An electromagnetic field can be formed by the radiating current. An electromagnetic wave can be radiated through at least a portion of the second part (542) by the electromagnetic field. Since the radiating current can flow to the ground through at least one grounding point (560) that is electrically connected to the ground, the area where the electromagnetic field is formed can be limited. An antenna including at least a portion of the second portion (542) can be configured to radiate and / or receive a signal on a designated frequency by using at least a portion of the second portion (542) as an antenna radiator, the second portion (542) being electrically separated by at least one feed point (550) and at least one ground point (560). When at least one ground point (560) is located within the second portion (542), an electromagnetic field is formed substantially within the second portion (542), such that the second portion (542), which operates as an antenna radiator, can be distinguished from the first portion (541).

[0138] For example, the conductive sheet (540) can at least partially form the back surface of the flexible display (230). The back surface of the flexible display (230) can be opposite to the front surface of the flexible display (230) on which visual information can be viewed. For example, the conductive sheet (540) can be positioned at the outermost portion among the plurality of layers (530) by at least partially forming the back surface of the flexible display (230). For example, since the conductive sheet (540) is positioned at the outermost portion among the plurality of layers (530), interference of other components of the flexible display (230) with electromagnetic waves radiated through at least a portion of the second portion (542) can be reduced.

[0139] For example, since the active area (510) includes a plurality of pixels for displaying visual information, it may be difficult to electrically connect with a physical connecting member. For example, if at least one feeding point (550) and at least one grounding point (560) are formed within the active area (510) in order to use at least a portion of the active area (510) as an antenna radiator, the plurality of pixels may be easily damaged by contact with a physical connecting member. For example, if a plurality of pixels are damaged, the flexible display (230) may not be able to perform its essential function of providing visual information. For example, the non-active area (520) may be used as an antenna radiator by contacting a physical connecting member regardless of providing visual information because it does not include a plurality of pixels. An electronic device (101) according to one embodiment can improve the utilization of the limited internal space of the housing (201) by using at least a part of a second portion (542) of a conductive sheet (540) positioned within a non-active area (520) occupying the internal space of the housing (201) as an antenna radiator.

[0140] FIG. 6A illustrates the rear surface of an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 6B schematically illustrates the electromagnetic fields and radiation patterns formed when a portion of an exemplary conductive sheet operates as an antenna radiator. FIG. 6C schematically illustrates the electromagnetic fields and radiation patterns formed when another portion of the exemplary conductive sheet operates as an antenna radiator.

[0141] Referring to FIG. 6A, the second portion (542) of the conductive sheet (540) may be implemented as one or more antenna radiators. For example, the second portion (542) may include a third portion (543) and a fourth portion (544).

[0142] For example, the second portion (542) of the conductive sheet (540) used as an antenna radiator may be positioned within a non-active region (e.g., the non-active region (520) of FIG. 5B). For example, the second portion (542) may include a third portion (543) and a fourth portion (544) distinguished by at least one third ground point (563) electrically connected to the ground of the electronic device (101).

[0143] For example, the third portion (543) may include a first feed point (551) and a first ground point (561). For example, the fourth portion (544) may include a second feed point (552) and a second ground point (562). For example, the first feed point (551) and the second feed point (552) may be positioned closer to a second boundary (542b) opposite to the first boundary (542a) than to the first boundary (542a) that contacts the first portion (541) among the boundaries of the second portion (542).

[0144] For example, a wireless communication circuit (e.g., a wireless communication circuit (192) of FIG. 5d) may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device using at least a portion of the third portion (543) and / or at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) distinguished by at least one third ground point (563).

[0145] For example, at least a portion of the third portion (543) may be configured to transmit and / or receive a signal on a first frequency. For example, a signal on a first frequency provided from the wireless communication circuit (192) to the third portion (543) may be radiated externally through at least a portion of the third portion (543). For example, a signal on a first frequency transmitted from an external electronic device may be received by the wireless communication circuit (192) through at least a portion of the third portion (543).

[0146] For example, at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) may be configured to transmit and / or receive a signal on a second frequency. For example, a signal on a second frequency provided from the wireless communication circuit (192) to the fourth portion (544) may be radiated externally through at least a portion of the fourth portion (544). For example, a signal on a second frequency transmitted from an external electronic device may be received by the wireless communication circuit (192) through at least a portion of the fourth portion (544). For example, the second frequency may correspond to the first frequency or may be different from the first frequency. The first frequency and the second frequency will be described later.

[0147] For example, the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544) may be distinguished by at least one third ground point (563) located between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544). For example, the distinction between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544) may not be a physical distinction, but may refer to a distinction in the area where an electromagnetic field is formed from the perspective of an antenna radiator for radiating an RF signal. For example, when power is supplied to the first feed point (551), an electromagnetic wave including a signal on the first frequency may be radiated by the electromagnetic field formed in at least a portion of the third portion (543). For example, a first antenna including at least a portion of a third portion (543) may be configured to radiate and / or receive a signal on a first frequency by using at least a portion of the third portion (543) as an antenna radiator, which is electrically separated from the third portion (543) by a first feed point (551) and a ground point (e.g., the first ground point (561) and the third ground point (563)). While the third portion (543) radiates an electromagnetic wave, the fourth portion (544) may not operate as an antenna radiator, as it is electrically separated from the third portion (543) by at least one third ground point (563). For example, when power is supplied to the second feed point (552), an electromagnetic wave including a signal on a second frequency may be radiated by an electromagnetic field formed in at least a portion of the fourth portion (544). For example, a first antenna including at least a portion of a fourth portion (544) may be configured to radiate and / or receive a signal on a second frequency by using at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) as an antenna radiator, the antenna radiator being electrically separated by a second feed point (552) and a ground point (e.g., a second ground point (562) and a third ground point (563)).While the fourth part (544) radiates electromagnetic waves, the third part (543) may not operate as an antenna radiator by being electrically separated from the fourth part (544) by at least one third ground point (563).

[0148] Referring to FIG. 6B, 601 of FIG. 6B schematically illustrates an electromagnetic field formed in a conductive sheet (540) when an antenna (e.g., a first antenna) including a third portion (543) of the conductive sheet (540) operates. 602 of FIG. 6B schematically illustrates a radiation pattern (610) formed in an electronic device (101) when the first antenna operates.

[0149] Referring to 601 of FIG. 6B, when the first antenna operates, a radiating current may be formed along at least a portion of the third portion (543). For example, when power is supplied to the first feed point (551), a radiating current may be formed along at least a portion of the third portion (543). The radiating current may cause an electromagnetic field to be formed along at least a portion of the third portion (543). For example, since at least one third grounding point (563) is located between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544), the electromagnetic field may be formed substantially along at least a portion of the third portion (543) without being substantially excited by the fourth portion (544). For example, the electromagnetic field may be strongly formed along the boundary of the third portion (543). By the above electromagnetic field, an electromagnetic wave including a signal on the first frequency can be radiated from at least a part of the third part (543).

[0150] Referring to 602 of FIG. 6B, a radiation pattern (610) formed on the electronic device (101) may indicate the intensity and direction of an electromagnetic wave radiated from the first antenna. For example, a first antenna including at least a portion of the third portion (543) may be configured to radiate and / or receive a signal on a first frequency by using at least a portion of the third portion (543) as an antenna radiator. For example, when power is supplied to the first feed point (551), an electromagnetic wave may be radiated by an electromagnetic field formed along at least a portion of the third portion (543). Since the electromagnetic wave is strongly formed in an area where the electromagnetic field is strong, the radiation pattern (610) may appear strongly in a portion of the housing (201) corresponding to the third portion (543). For example, when the third part (543) is positioned higher (e.g., in the +y direction) than the fourth part (544), a radiation pattern (610) directed toward the upper portion of the housing (201) can be formed.

[0151] Referring to FIG. 6C, 603 of FIG. 6C schematically illustrates an electromagnetic field formed in a conductive sheet (540) when an antenna (e.g., a second antenna) including a fourth portion (544) of the conductive sheet (540) operates. 603 of FIG. 6C schematically illustrates a radiation pattern (620) formed in an electronic device (101) when the second antenna operates.

[0152] Referring to 603 of FIG. 6C, when the second antenna operates, a radiating current may be formed along at least a portion of the fourth portion (544). For example, when power is supplied to the second feed point (552), a radiating current may be formed along at least a portion of the fourth portion (544). The radiating current may cause an electromagnetic field to be formed along at least a portion of the fourth portion (544). For example, since at least one third ground point (563) is located between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544), the electromagnetic field may be formed substantially along at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) without being substantially excited by the third portion (543). For example, the electromagnetic field may be formed strongly along the boundary of the fourth portion (544). By the above electromagnetic field, an electromagnetic wave including a signal on the second frequency can be radiated from at least a part of the fourth portion (544).

[0153] Referring to 603 of FIG. 6C, the radiation pattern (620) formed on the electronic device (101) may indicate the intensity and direction of the electromagnetic wave radiated from the second antenna. For example, the second antenna including at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) may be configured to radiate and / or receive a signal on the second frequency by using at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) as an antenna radiator. For example, when power is supplied to the second feed point (552), an electromagnetic wave may be radiated by an electromagnetic field formed along at least a portion of the fourth portion (544). Since the electromagnetic wave is strongly formed in an area where the electromagnetic field is strong, the radiation pattern (620) may appear strongly in a portion of the housing (201) corresponding to the fourth portion (544). For example, when the fourth part (544) is positioned lower (e.g., in the -y direction) than the third part (543), a radiation pattern (620) directed toward the lower part of the housing (201) can be formed.

[0154] For example, the frequency characteristics (e.g., resonant frequency) of a first antenna including a third portion (543) and a second antenna including a fourth portion (544) can be set based on the position of at least one third grounding point (563). Referring again to FIG. 6A, for example, the electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) and the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544) can be set by the position of at least one third grounding point (563). For example, when at least one third grounding point (563) includes one grounding point and is substantially centered with respect to the longitudinal direction (e.g., y-axis direction) of the second portion (542), the electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) can be substantially the same as the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544). For example, the wavelength corresponding to the resonant frequency of a signal transmitted and / or received through the antenna When , the electrical length of the antenna radiator is 1 / 4 1 / 2 of the land For example, if the electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) and the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544) are substantially the same, distinguished by at least one third grounding point (563), the first frequency and the second frequency may be substantially the same.

[0155] For example, the first antenna and the second antenna may be used to transmit and / or receive signals on a designated frequency band. For example, the electronic device (101) may implement a diversity function and / or a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) function using the first antenna and the second antenna. For example, the first antenna may operate as a primary antenna, and the second antenna may operate as a diversity antenna. However, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0156] FIG. 7A illustrates a rear view of an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 7B is a graph showing S-parameters of an antenna in a first state or a second state of the electronic device illustrated in FIG. 7A.

[0157] Referring to FIG. 7A, there may be a plurality of at least one third grounding point (563) positioned between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544). For example, the at least one third grounding point (563) may include two grounding points (e.g., a fourth grounding point (564) and a fifth grounding point (565)) to set the electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) and / or the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544).

[0158] For example, the fourth grounding point (564) and the fifth grounding point (565) may be located between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544). For example, the fourth grounding point (564) may be closer to the third portion (543) among the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544) within the second portion (542). For example, the fifth grounding point (565) may be closer to the fourth portion (544) among the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544) within the second portion (542). For example, the fifth grounding point (565) may be spaced apart from the fourth grounding point (564). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, at least one third grounding point (563) may be two or more to set the electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) and / or the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544). For example, the fourth grounding point (564) may include two grounding points (564-1, 564-2) spaced apart along the x-axis. For example, the fifth grounding point (565) may include two grounding points (565-1, 565-2) spaced apart along the x-axis.

[0159] For example, the electrical length (L1) of the third part (543) can be set by the fourth grounding point (564). For example, the electrical length (L1) of the third part (543) can be formed from the third boundary (542c) of the second part (542) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (e.g., y-axis direction) (e.g., x-axis direction) to the position of the fourth grounding point (564). For example, the electrical length (L2) of the fourth part (544) can be set by the fifth grounding point (565). For example, the electrical length (L2) of the fourth part (544) can be formed from the fourth boundary (542d) of the second part (542) perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (e.g., y-axis direction) (e.g., x-axis direction) to the position of the fifth grounding point (565). For example, the electrical length (L1) of the third part (543) and the electrical length (L2) of the fourth part (544) may be about 35 mm, but are not limited thereto.

[0160] For example, the first frequency, which is the frequency of a signal transmitted and / or received through the third portion (543), may be set based on the electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) based on the position of the fourth grounding point (564). For example, when the electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) is formed to be about 35 mm due to the position of the fourth grounding point (564), the first antenna including the third portion (543) may form a resonance at a frequency above about 4 GHz. For example, the first frequency may be about 4 GHz, but is not limited thereto.

[0161] For example, the second frequency, which is the frequency of the signal transmitted and / or received through the fourth portion (544), may be set based on the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544) based on the position of the fifth grounding point (565). For example, when the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544) is formed to be about 35 mm due to the position of the fifth grounding point (565), the second antenna including the fourth portion (544) may form a resonance at a frequency above about 4 GHz. For example, the second frequency may be about 4 GHz, but is not limited thereto. For example, when the electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544) and / or the electrical length of the fifth portion (545) are changed as the positions of the fourth grounding point (564) and / or the fifth grounding point (565) are changed, the first frequency and / or the second frequency may be shifted. For example, the position of the fourth grounding point (564) and / or the fifth grounding point (565) can be adjusted based on the targeted frequency of the signal to be transmitted and / or received via the first antenna and / or the second antenna.

[0162] FIG. 7B is a graph (701) showing S-parameters of an antenna (e.g., a first antenna and / or a second antenna) according to the state of the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 7A. The x-axis of the graph (701) represents a frequency (unit: GHz (giga hertz)), and the y-axis of the graph represents a reflection coefficient (unit: dB (decibel)).

[0163] For example, the first graph (710) is a graph representing the reflection coefficient of the antenna within the first state. For example, the second graph (720) is a graph representing the reflection coefficient of the antenna within the second state.

[0164] Referring to FIG. 7B, the antenna may have a resonant frequency of about 4 GHz, which indicates the lowest reflection coefficient. For example, when the electrical length of the third portion (e.g., the third portion (543) of FIG. 7A) (e.g., the length (L1) of FIG. 7A) and / or the electrical length of the fourth portion (e.g., the fourth portion (544) of FIG. 7A) (e.g., the length (L2) of FIG. 7A)) is formed to be about 35 mm by the fourth grounding point (e.g., the fourth grounding point (564) of FIG. 7A) and / or the fifth grounding point (e.g., the fifth grounding point (565) of FIG. 7A), the resonant frequency of the first antenna including at least a portion of the third portion (543) and / or the second antenna including at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) may be about 4 GHz.

[0165] Comparing the first graph (710) and the second graph (720), even if the state of the electronic device (e.g., the electronic device (101) of FIG. 7A) changes due to movement of the second housing part (e.g., the second housing (220) of FIG. 7A), the resonant frequency of the antenna can be substantially maintained. For example, the second part (542) can be electrically distinguished from the first part (541) by at least one grounding point (e.g., at least one grounding point (560) of FIG. 7A) (e.g., the first grounding point (561) and the second grounding point (562)). As described above, if the second part (542) is always flat, independent of the movement of the second housing part (220), the second part (542) can maintain a substantially constant shape. As described above, since the second portion (542) is a portion that is positioned within the non-active region (520) that is not always exposed to the outside, independent of the movement of the second housing part (220), it can maintain a substantially constant size even if the state of the electronic device (101) changes. For example, since the shape and size of the second portion (542) are maintained substantially constant, the resonant frequency of the antenna in the first state can be substantially the same as the resonant frequency of the antenna in the second state. For example, since the communication characteristics of the antenna are maintained substantially constant independently of the state of the electronic device (101), the electronic device (101) can have stable communication performance.

[0166] FIG. 8A illustrates a printed circuit board and a connection structure of an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 8B illustrates a printed circuit board and a connection structure according to a state of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0167] Referring to FIG. 8A, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a printed circuit board (570) and a first connection structure (810).

[0168] For example, the printed circuit board (570) may include a plurality of conductive layers and a plurality of non-conductive layers alternately laminated with the plurality of conductive layers. For example, the printed circuit board (570) may provide electrical connections between various electronic components using wires and conductive vias formed on the conductive layers. For example, a wireless communication circuit (192) may be disposed on the printed circuit board (570) and electrically connected to at least one feed point (550) and at least one ground point (560) within a second portion (542) of the conductive sheet (540) via the printed circuit board (570) and the first connection structure (810).

[0169] For example, the first connection structure (810) can electrically connect the printed circuit board (570) to at least one feed point (550) and at least one ground point (560). For example, the first connection structure (810) can include, but is not limited to, a flexible printed circuit board. For example, the printed circuit board (570) can be spaced apart from the conductive sheet (540). For example, the first connection structure (810) can electrically connect the printed circuit board (570) to at least one feed point (550) and at least one ground point (560) by being connected to at least one feed point (550) and at least one ground point (560) within the printed circuit board (570) and the conductive sheet (540).

[0170] For example, the first connection structure (810) may include a first line (811) and a second line (812). For example, the first line (811) may be electrically connected to a wireless communication circuit (192) and at least one feed point (550). For example, one end of the first line (811) may be connected to a printed circuit board (570), and the other end of the first line (811) may be connected to at least one feed point (550). For example, the second line (812) may be electrically connected to a ground layer of a printed circuit board (570) that is electrically connected to a ground of an electronic device (101) and at least one ground point (560). For example, one end of the second line (812) may be connected to a ground layer of a printed circuit board (570), and the other end of the second line (812) may be connected to at least one ground point (560). For example, an RF signal provided from a wireless communication circuit (192) may be transmitted to at least one feed point (550) through the first line (811). For example, the at least one ground point (560) may be electrically connected to the ground of the electronic device (101) through the second line (812) that is electrically connected to the ground layer. For example, the first line (811) may be a line that transmits a feed signal from the wireless communication circuit (192) to at least one feed point (550). For example, the second line (812) may be a ground line that electrically connects at least one ground point (560) to a ground layer of a printed circuit board (570), or may be a ground layer formed within the first connection structure (810).

[0171] For example, the printed circuit board (570) may include a fill cut area (813). For example, the fill cut area (813) is an area where a ground layer (e.g., copper foil) is removed, and the ground layer may not be included within the fill cut area (813). For example, a portion of the printed circuit board (570) connected to the first line (811) may include the fill cut area (813) so that an RF signal provided from the wireless communication circuit (192) to at least one feed point (550) may be radiated. For example, a portion of the first line (811) within the first connection structure (810) may be located within the fill cut area (813).

[0172] Referring to FIG. 8B, the printed circuit board (570) may be spaced apart from the flexible display (230). For example, 801 of FIG. 8B illustrates the flexible display (230) and the printed circuit board (570) when the electronic device (101) according to one embodiment is in a first state. For example, 802 of FIG. 8B illustrates the flexible display (230) and the printed circuit board (570) when the electronic device (101) according to one embodiment is in a second state.

[0173] For example, the first connection structure (810) may be deformable based on the movement of the second housing part (220) between the conductive sheet (540) and the printed circuit board (570). For example, the first connection structure (810) may include, but is not limited to, a flexible printed circuit board having flexibility. For example, since the flexible display (230) and the printed circuit board (570) are spaced apart from each other, the relative positional relationship between the flexible display (230) and the printed circuit board (570) may change as the state of the electronic device (101) changes.

[0174] For example, the first connection structure (810) may include a first connector (814) coupled to a fill cut area (813) of a printed circuit board (570) and a second connector (815) coupled to a second portion (542) of a conductive sheet (540). For example, a portion of the first connection structure (810) between the first connector (814) and the second connector (815) may be at least partially bent or unfolded based on movement of the second housing part (220).

[0175] 801 of FIG. 8B schematically illustrates an electronic device (101) in a first state. 802 of FIG. 8B schematically illustrates an electronic device (101) in a second state. Referring to 801 and 802 of FIG. 8B, as the state of the electronic device (101) changes, the flexible display (230) moves, and thus the relative positional relationship between the second portion (542) and the printed circuit board (570) may change. For example, among the multiple layers of the flexible display (230) (e.g., the multiple layers (530) of FIG. 5B), the conductive sheet (540) positioned at the outermost end may face the printed circuit board (570). For example, referring to 801 of FIG. 8B, within the first state, depending on the relative position between the second portion (542) and the printed circuit board (570), the first connection structure (810) may be positioned in an at least partially bent state between the conductive sheet (540) and the printed circuit board (570).

[0176] Referring to 802 of FIG. 8B, within the second state, the relative positional relationship between the flexible display (230) and the printed circuit board (570) may be changed as the flexible display (230) is moved by the second housing part (e.g., the second housing part (220) of FIG. 5A). For example, as the change is made from the first state to the second state, the second part (542) may not overlap with the printed circuit board (570), or the size of the second part (542) overlapping with the printed circuit board (570) may be reduced. For example, since the first connector (814) is coupled and fixed to the printed circuit board (570) and the second connector (815) is coupled and fixed to the second portion (542), the distance between the first connector (814) and the second connector (815) may increase as the electronic device (101) changes from the first state to the second state. For example, the portion of the first connection structure (810) between the first connector (814) and the second connector (815) may at least partially unfold to compensate for the increased distance as the relative position between the second portion (542) and the printed circuit board (570) changes. For example, since the first connection structure (810) is deformable, even if the state of the electronic device (101) changes, the electrical connection between the printed circuit board (570) and at least one power supply point (550) and at least one ground point (560) within the second portion (542) can be stably maintained.

[0177] FIG. 9A illustrates a printed circuit board and a connection structure of an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 9B is a graph showing the S-parameters of the antenna of the electronic device illustrated in FIG. 9A. FIG. 9C is a graph showing the efficiency of the antenna of the electronic device illustrated in FIG. 9A.

[0178] Referring to FIG. 9A, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a second connection structure (910) that electrically connects a flexible display (230) and a printed circuit board (570).

[0179] For example, in order to control the operation of the flexible display (230), an electrical connection between the printed circuit board (570) and the flexible display (230) may be required. The electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a processor (120) and a display driver integrated circuit (DDI) (a display driver integrated circuit) (920). For example, the display driver circuit (920) may control the flexible display (230) based on receiving a control signal from the processor (120). For example, the processor (120) may provide a control signal to the display driver circuit (920). For example, the display driver circuit (920) may control the operation of a plurality of pixels based on obtaining the control signal from the processor (120). For example, the display driver circuit (920) may include, but is not limited to, a Gate IC that controls on / off of sub-pixels included in a plurality of pixels and a Source IC that controls visual information expressed by the sub-pixels.

[0180] For example, the processor (120) may be disposed on the printed circuit board (570). For example, the display driving circuit (920) may be disposed on the flexible display (230). For example, the flexible display (230) may include, but is not limited to, a COP (chip on plastic) structure in which the display driving circuit (920) is disposed on the display panel. For example, for electrical connection between the printed circuit board (570) and the display driving circuit (920), a second connection structure (910) may electrically connect the printed circuit board (570) and the flexible display (230). For example, the second connection structure (910) may include a first connector coupled to the printed circuit board (570) and a second connector coupled to the flexible display (230). For example, a control signal provided from a processor (120) to a display driving circuit (920) may be transmitted from a printed circuit board (570) to a display driving circuit (920) disposed on a flexible display (230) through a control signal line within a second connection structure (910). For example, the control signal line may be included within a ground area (912) of the second connection structure (910). For example, the second connection structure (910) may include, but is not limited to, a flexible printed circuit board.

[0181] For example, the second connection structure (910) connecting the printed circuit board (570) and the flexible display (230) may include a fill cut area (911) from which a conductive layer is removed. For example, at least one feed point (550) (e.g., the first feed point (551)) may be located within the fill cut area (911). For example, the ground area (912) of the second connection structure (910) may provide a ground for the antenna. For example, as the wireless communication circuit (192) feeds the first feed point (551), at least a portion of the second portion (910a) and the second portion (542) of the second connection structure (910) may operate as an antenna radiator. For example, the above part (910a) of the second connection structure (910) can be electrically distinguished from other parts of the connection structure (910) by the first feed point (551) and the ground area (912) of the second connection structure (910). A matching circuit (930) for impedance matching of a feed signal provided from the wireless communication circuit (192) to the first feed point (511) can be electrically connected between the wireless communication circuit (192) and at least one feed point (550).

[0182] For example, the second connection structure (910) for electrically connecting the printed circuit board (570) and the flexible display (230) may be configured to provide an RF signal path of an antenna including at least a portion of the second portion (542) and the portion (910a) of the second connection structure (910).

[0183] An electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may utilize a second connection structure (910) that electrically connects a printed circuit board (570) to a flexible display (230) as a connection structure for transmitting an RF signal. For example, the electronic device (101) may utilize a second connection structure (910) provided for controlling the flexible display (230) without including a separate connection structure for electrically connecting an antenna and a wireless communication circuit (192) including at least a portion of the second part (542) and the portion (910a) of the second connection structure (910). An electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may secure a space inside a housing (201) and reduce manufacturing costs.

[0184] Referring to FIG. 9b, when a printed circuit board (e.g., a printed circuit board (570) of FIG. 9a) is electrically connected to a first feed point (e.g., a first feed point (551) of FIG. 9a) through the second connection structure (e.g., a second connection structure (910) of FIG. 9a), an antenna including at least a portion of the second portion (e.g., the second portion (542) of FIG. 9a) and the portion of the second connection structure (910) (e.g., a portion (910a) of FIG. 9a)) may have a low reflection coefficient for a frequency above about 3.5 GHz. For example, the x-axis of the graph (901) of FIG. 9b represents frequency (unit: GHz), and the y-axis of the graph represents reflection coefficient (unit: dB).

[0185] Referring to the graph (901) above, the antenna may have a relatively low reflection coefficient for frequencies above about 3.5 GHz. For example, the antenna may exhibit a reflection coefficient of about -14 dB for frequencies above about 3.5 GHz. For example, the antenna may operate as an antenna for transmitting and / or receiving frequencies above about 3.5 GHz, as the power that is reflected rather than radiated is reduced for frequencies above about 3.5 GHz.

[0186] Referring to FIG. 9C, an antenna including at least a portion of a second portion (e.g., the second portion (542) of FIG. 9A) and a portion (e.g., a portion (910a) of FIG. 9A) of a second connection structure (e.g., the second connection structure (910) of FIG. 9A) may have a high gain for frequencies above about 3.5 GHz. For example, the x-axis of the graph (902) of FIG. 9C represents frequency (unit: GHz), and the y-axis of the graph represents efficiency (unit: dB).

[0187] Referring to the above graph (902), the antenna may have relatively high efficiency for frequencies above about 3.5 GHz. For example, the antenna may exhibit an efficiency of about -6 dB for frequencies above about 3.5 GHz. For example, the antenna may operate as an antenna for transmitting and / or receiving frequencies above about 3.5 GHz by having relatively high efficiency for frequencies above about 3.5 GHz.

[0188] Fig. 10a illustrates the rear surface of an exemplary electronic device. Fig. 10b is a graph for comparing the reflection coefficient of the antenna of the electronic device illustrated in Fig. 9a with the reflection coefficient of the antenna of the electronic device illustrated in Fig. 10a.

[0189] Referring to FIG. 10A, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a first feed point (551), a first ground point (561), and a second ground point (562) located within a second portion (542). Comparing the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 9A with the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 10A, the area of at least a portion of the second portion (542) used as an antenna radiator may be different. For example, due to the second ground point (562), the area of the antenna radiator of the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 10A may be smaller than the area of the antenna radiator of the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 9A. The electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 10A may be substantially the same as the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 9A, except that it further includes the second ground point (562).

[0190] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may include a conductive connecting member for electrically connecting the second ground point (562) to the ground of the electronic device (101). For example, the conductive connecting member may be in contact with the second ground point (562) and the ground of the electronic device (101). For example, the conductive connecting member may include, but is not limited to, a c-clip, a conductive poron, and / or a conductive pin for electrically connecting the second ground point (562) to the ground. For example, since the second ground point (562) is electrically connected to the ground through the conductive connecting member, the area of at least a portion of the second portion (542) used as an antenna radiator may be reduced compared to a case where the second ground point (562) is not included. For example, as the area of the antenna radiator decreases, the frequency characteristics (e.g., resonant frequency) of the antenna including at least a portion of the second portion (542) may change.

[0191] Referring to FIG. 10b, a change in the frequency characteristics of an antenna including at least a portion of the second portion (542) by the second grounding point (562) can be confirmed. The first graph (1001) of FIG. 10b represents a reflection coefficient of an antenna of an electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 9a. The second graph (1002) of FIG. 10b represents a reflection coefficient of an antenna of an electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 10a. The x-axis represents a frequency (unit: GHz), and the y-axis of the graph represents a reflection coefficient (unit: dB).

[0192] Comparing the first graph (1001) and the second graph (1002), the resonant frequency indicated by the first graph (1001) may be a frequency above about 3.5 GHz, and the resonant frequency indicated by the second graph (1002) may be a frequency above about 4.5 GHz to about 5 GHz. For example, the resonant frequency indicated by the second graph (1002) may be high-shifted from the resonant frequency indicated by the first graph (1001). For example, as the area of the second portion (542) used as the antenna radiator is reduced by the second grounding point (562), the resonant frequency may increase. The electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may adjust the frequency characteristics of an antenna including at least a portion of the second portion (542) through the second grounding point (562). For example, depending on the target frequency of the signal to be transmitted and / or received via the antenna, a second ground point (562) may optionally be provided.

[0193] FIG. 11 illustrates a printed circuit board and connection structure of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0194] Referring to FIG. 11, an electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a plurality of connection structures. For example, the plurality of connection structures may include a first connection structure (810) and a second connection structure (910).

[0195] For example, the second portion (542) may include a third portion (543) and a fourth portion (544). For example, the third portion (543) may include a first feed point (551) and a first ground point (561). For example, the fourth portion (544) may include a second feed point (552) and a second ground point (562). For example, the fourth ground point (564) and the fifth ground point (565) may be located between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544). The above structure may be referred to in the description given above with reference to FIG. 7A.

[0196] For example, the first connection structure (810) may be referred to as the first connection structure (810) illustrated in FIG. 8A. For example, the first connection structure (810) may include a first line (811) and a second line (812). For example, the first line (811) may electrically connect a wireless communication circuit (192) disposed on a printed circuit board (570) to a first feed point (551) (or a second feed point (552)). For example, the second line (812) may electrically connect a ground layer of the printed circuit board (570) to a first ground point (561) (and / or a second ground point (562)). For example, the first connection structure (810) may include a fill cut area (813). For convenience of explanation, FIG. 11 illustrates a structure in which the first connection structure (810) is electrically connected to the third portion (543). However, the first connection structure (810) may also be electrically connected to the fourth portion (544). For example, there may be multiple first connection structures (810). However, the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the electronic device (101) may further include a third connection structure (1110). For example, the third connection structure (1110) may electrically connect the wireless communication circuit (192) to the second feed point (552). For example, the third connection structure (1110) may electrically connect the ground layer of the printed circuit board (570) or the ground of the electronic device (101) to the second ground point (562).

[0197] For example, the second connection structure (910) may be referred to as the second connection structure (910) illustrated in FIG. 9A. For example, the second connection structure (910) may electrically connect the printed circuit board (570) to the flexible display (230). For example, the second connection structure (910) may electrically connect the fourth ground point (564) and / or the fifth ground point (565) to a ground layer of the printed circuit board (570). For example, the second connection structure (910) may be used to transmit a control signal provided from a processor (120) disposed on the printed circuit board (570) to a display driving circuit (920) disposed on the flexible display (230). For example, since the wireless communication circuit (192) is not arranged on the second connection structure (910), the second connection structure (910) may not include a fill cut area (e.g., a fill cut area (911) of FIG. 9A).

[0198] For example, an antenna (e.g., a first antenna) including at least a portion of the third portion (543) and / or an antenna (e.g., a second antenna) including at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) may be electrically connected to the wireless communication circuit (192) and ground via the first connection structure (810). For example, the wireless communication circuit (e.g., the wireless communication circuit (192) of FIG. 5D) may provide an RF signal to the first feed point (551) and / or the second feed point (552) via the first connection structure (810). For example, the wireless communication circuit (192) may also provide an RF signal to the second feed point (552) via the third connection structure (1110). For example, an RF signal provided from an RF transceiver (e.g., RF transceiver (583) of FIG. 5d) may be provided to the first feed point (551) and / or the second feed point (552) via the first line (811) and may be radiated to the outside via at least a portion of the third portion (543) and / or at least a portion of the fourth portion (544).

[0199] For example, the fourth ground point (564) and / or the fifth ground point (565) may be electrically connected to a ground layer of the printed circuit board (570) via the second connection structure (910), thereby electrically distinguishing the third portion (543) from the fourth portion (544). For example, an electromagnetic field formed by providing an RF signal to the first feed point (551) may be formed substantially within at least a portion of the third portion (543) by the fourth ground point (564). For example, an electromagnetic field formed by providing an RF signal to the second feed point (552) may be formed substantially within at least a portion of the fourth portion by the fifth ground point (565). For example, the fifth ground point (565) may be electrically connected to the ground of the electronic device (101) or the ground layer of the printed circuit board (570) via the third connection structure (1110).

[0200] An electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device through the first antenna and the second antenna by using the first connection structure (810) and the second connection structure (910). In the above description, the first antenna and the second antenna have been described as being implemented through the second portion (542) of the conductive sheet (540), but are not limited thereto. For example, the second portion (542) may be divided into two or more portions, thereby implementing two or more antennas. The electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may resolve the lack of antenna placement space by using the second portion (542) located within the non-active area (520) as an antenna radiator.

[0201] FIG. 12A illustrates a front view of an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 12B illustrates a rear view of an electronic device according to one embodiment.

[0202] Although the electronic device (101) described above has been described as having the second housing part (220) movably connected in one direction relative to the first housing part (210), it is not limited thereto. Referring to FIGS. 12A and 12B, the second housing part (220) may be movably connected in one direction and in another direction opposite to the one direction relative to the first housing part (210).

[0203] For example, the second housing part (220) may be movably connected to the first housing part (210) in one direction and another direction. For example, the second housing part (220) may include a first part (1210) that is movably connected to the first housing part (210) in one direction (e.g., +x direction) and a second part (1220) that is movably connected to the first housing part (210) in another direction (e.g., -x direction). For example, the first part (1210) and the second part (1220) may be separate structures or may be integrally formed structures.

[0204] For example, 1201 of FIG. 12A represents a first state. For example, within the first state, at least a portion of the second housing part (220) may be positioned within the first housing part (210). For example, within the first state, the size of the active area (510) of the flexible display (230) positioned outside the housing (201) may be minimum.

[0205] For example, 1202 of FIG. 12A represents a second state. For example, at least a portion of the second housing part (220), which was positioned within the first housing part (210) within the first state, may move outside the housing (201) as the electronic device (101) changes from the first state to the second state. For example, when the electronic device (101) changes from the first state to the second state, the first part (1210) may move in one direction from the first housing part (210), and the second part (1220) may move in the other direction from the first housing part (210). For example, in the second state, the size of the active area (510) of the flexible display (230) positioned outside the housing (201) may be maximum.

[0206] Referring to FIG. 12B, the non-active region (520) may include two regions spaced apart from the active region (510) in the middle. For example, the non-active region (520) may include a first region (1230) extending from one side (e.g., the +x direction side) of the active region (510) and a second region (1240) extending from the other side (e.g., the -x direction side) of the active region (510). The electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 12B may be referred to as being in a first state. In the first state, the first region (1230) may be spaced apart from the second region (1240).

[0207] The descriptions of utilizing at least a portion of the second portion (542) for communication with an external electronic device, as described above, can be substantially equally applied to the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 12A.

[0208] For example, the conductive sheet (540) may include a first portion (541) positioned within the active region (510) and a second portion (542) positioned within the non-active region (520). For example, the second portion (542) may include a third portion (543) and a fourth portion (544). For example, the third portion (543) may be positioned on one side of the first portion (541) (e.g., the side in the +x direction). For example, the fourth portion (544) may be positioned on the other side of the first portion (541) opposite to the one side (e.g., the side in the -x direction). For example, in the first state, the third portion (543) may be spaced apart from the fourth portion (544).

[0209] For example, a wireless communication circuit (e.g., the wireless communication circuit (192) of FIG. 5D) may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device using the third portion (543) and / or the fourth portion (544). For example, the third portion (543) may include at least one first feed point (551) and at least one first ground point (561). For example, at least a portion of the third portion (543) may be powered by the wireless communication circuit (192), thereby operating as an antenna radiator. For example, the fourth portion (544) may include at least one second feed point (552) and at least one second ground point (562). For example, at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) may be powered by the wireless communication circuit (192), thereby operating as an antenna radiator.

[0210] For example, the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544) may include a plurality of electrically distinct portions. For example, the third portion (543) may include a fifth portion (545) including a third feed point (553) and a third ground point (563), and a sixth portion (546) including a fourth feed point (554) and a fourth ground point (564). At least one fifth ground point (565) may be positioned between the fifth portion (545) and the sixth portion (546). By virtue of the at least one fifth ground point (565), the fifth portion (545) and the sixth portion (546) may be electrically distinct. For example, the fourth portion (544) may include a seventh portion (547) including a fifth feed point (555) and a sixth ground point (566), and an eighth portion (548) including a sixth feed point (556) and a seventh ground point (567). At least one eighth ground point (568) may be positioned between the seventh portion (547) and the eighth portion (548). By the at least one eighth ground point (568), the seventh portion (547) and the eighth portion (548) may be electrically distinguishable.

[0211] For example, the wireless communication circuit (192) may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device using the fifth portion (545), the sixth portion (546), the seventh portion (547), and / or the eighth portion (548). For example, when the wireless communication circuit (192) transmits a signal to the external electronic device using an antenna including at least a portion of the fifth portion (545), the wireless communication circuit (192) may provide an RF signal to a third feed point (553) located within the fifth portion (545). The RF signal may be radiated to the outside through at least a portion of the fifth portion (545). According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may improve the usability of the limited internal space of the housing (201) by using the second portion (542) located within the housing (201) as an antenna radiator.

[0212] FIG. 13A illustrates an electronic device according to one embodiment. FIG. 13B schematically illustrates a flexible display and a printed circuit board of the electronic device illustrated in FIG. 13A.

[0213] For example, the housing (201) may include a first housing part (210), a second housing part (220), and a third housing part (1310). 1301 of FIG. 13A illustrates a state in which the third housing part (1310) is rotated relative to the first housing part (210) about the folding axis (f). 1302 of FIG. 13B illustrates a state in which the third housing part (1310) is arranged on substantially the same plane as the first housing part (210).

[0214] For example, the first housing part (210) may be disposed between the second housing part (220) and the third housing part (1310). For example, the second housing part (220) may be slidably connected to one side (e.g., the side in the +x direction) of the first housing part (210). For example, the third housing part (1310) may be rotatably connected to the other side (e.g., the side in the -x direction) of the first housing part (210) opposite to the one side. The electronic device (101) according to one embodiment may include a hinge portion disposed between the first housing part (210) and the third housing part (1310) and rotatably connecting the third housing part (1310) to the first housing part (210). By the hinge portion, the third housing part (1310) can be rotated relative to the first housing part (210) about the folding axis (f). The electronic device (101) according to one embodiment can exist in a folded state in which the third housing part (1310) is overlapped on the first housing part (210) (e.g., in the +z direction), an unfolded state in which the third housing part (1310) is disposed on substantially the same plane as the first housing part (210), and a plurality of intermediate states between the folded state and the unfolded state. For example, the flexible display (230) can be disposed on the first housing part (210), the second housing part (220), and the third housing part (1310).

[0215] Referring to FIG. 13b, the flexible display (230) may include a non-active area (520) positioned inside the housing (201) independently of the movement of the second housing part (e.g., the second housing part (220) of FIG. 13a).

[0216] The descriptions of utilizing at least a portion of the second portion (542) for communication with an external electronic device, as described above, can be substantially equally applied to the electronic device (101) illustrated in FIG. 13A.

[0217] For example, the second portion (542) may include at least one feed point (550) and at least one ground point (560). For example, the at least one feed point (550) and the at least one ground point (560) may be electrically connected to a printed circuit board (570) via a connection structure (e.g., the first connection structure (810) or the second connection structure (910)). For example, the at least one feed point (550) may be electrically connected to a wireless communication circuit (192) disposed on the printed circuit board (570). For example, the at least one ground point (560) may be electrically connected to a ground layer of the printed circuit board (570) that is electrically connected to a ground of the electronic device (101). For example, at least a portion of the second portion (542) may be fed from the wireless communication circuit (192) and thus may operate as an antenna radiator.

[0218] An electronic device (101) is provided. The electronic device (101) may include a wireless communication circuit (192), a housing (201), and a flexible display (230). The housing (201) may include a first housing part (210) and a second housing part (220) movably coupled to the first housing part (210). The flexible display may include an active area (510) configured to display visual information and a non-active area (520) positioned inside the housing (201) independently of movement of the second housing part (220). The flexible display (230) may include a plurality of layers (530) including a conductive sheet (540). The conductive sheet (540) may include a first portion (541) positioned within the active area (510) and a second portion (542) positioned within the non-active area (520). The second portion (542) may include at least one feed point (550) electrically connected to the wireless communication circuit (192) and at least one ground point (560) electrically connected to the ground of the electronic device (101). The wireless communication circuit (192) may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device using at least a portion of the second portion (542).

[0219] For example, the conductive sheet (540) may include at least one of an electrostatic discharge (ESD) sheet, a support sheet for supporting the flexible display (230), or a shielding sheet for shielding noise.

[0220] For example, the shape of the second portion (542) may correspond to the shape of the non-active region (520). When the non-active region (520) maintains a substantially flat shape, the second portion (542) may maintain a substantially flat shape independently of the movement of the second housing part (220). When the non-active region (520) is partially bent, the second portion (542) may be partially bent.

[0221] For example, the second portion (542) may include a third portion (543) including a first feed point (551) and a first ground point (561), at least a portion of which is configured to transmit or receive a signal on a first frequency, a fourth portion (544) including a second feed point (552) and a second ground point (562), at least a portion of which is configured to transmit or receive a signal on a second frequency, and at least one third ground point (563) positioned between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544). The wireless communication circuit (192) may be configured to communicate with the external electronic device using at least one of at least a portion of the third portion (543) or at least a portion of the fourth portion (544) distinguished by the at least one third ground point (563).

[0222] For example, the at least one third grounding point (563) may include a fourth grounding point (564) that is closer to the third portion (543) among the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544), and a fifth grounding point (565) that is closer to the fourth portion (544) among the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544). The first frequency may be based on an electrical length (L1) of the third portion (543) based on a location of the fourth grounding point (564). The second frequency may be based on an electrical length (L2) of the fourth portion (544) based on a location of the fifth grounding point (565).

[0223] For example, the electronic device (101) may further include a printed circuit board (570) on which the wireless communication circuit (192) is arranged, and a first connection structure (810) that electrically connects the printed circuit board (570) to the at least one power supply point (550) and the at least one ground point (560).

[0224] For example, the first connection structure (810) may include a first line (811) electrically connecting the wireless communication circuit (192) and the at least one feed point (550), and a second line (812) electrically connecting the ground layer of the printed circuit board (570) and the at least one ground point (560).

[0225] For example, the first connection structure (810) may be deformable based on movement of the second housing part (220) between the conductive sheet (540) and the printed circuit board (570).

[0226] For example, the electronic device (101) may further include a printed circuit board (570) on which the processor (120) is disposed, and a second connection structure (910) on which the wireless communication circuit (192) is disposed, and which electrically connects the flexible display (230) and the printed circuit board (570). For example, the processor (120) may be configured to control the flexible display (230), but is not limited thereto. The second connection structure (910) may electrically connect the wireless communication circuit (192) to the at least one power supply point (550), and electrically connect the ground layer of the printed circuit board (570) and a first ground point (561) located within the second portion (542).

[0227] For example, the second portion (542) may further include a second ground point (562). The electronic device (101) may further include a conductive connecting member that electrically connects the second ground point (562) to the ground.

[0228] For example, the second part (542) may include a third part (543) including a first feed point (551) and a first ground point (561) and configured to transmit or receive a signal on a first frequency band, a fourth part (544) including a second feed point (552) and a second ground point (562) and configured to transmit or receive a signal on a second frequency band, and at least one third ground point (563) located between the third part (543) and the fourth part (544). The electronic device (101) may further include a printed circuit board (570) on which the wireless communication circuit (192) is arranged, a first connection structure (810) that electrically connects the printed circuit board (570) to the first power supply point (551), the first ground point (561), the second power supply point (552), and the second ground point (562), and a second connection structure (910) that electrically connects the flexible display (230) and the printed circuit board (570) and electrically connects the at least one third ground point (563) to the ground.

[0229] For example, the conductive sheet (540) may be positioned at the outermost edge among the plurality of layers (530) by forming the back surface of the flexible display (230).

[0230] For example, the second portion (542) may include a third portion (543) positioned on one side of the first portion (541) and including at least one first feed point (551) and at least one first ground point (561), and a fourth portion (544) positioned opposite to the one side of the first portion (541) and including at least one second feed point (552) and at least one second ground point (562). The third portion (543) may be spaced apart from the fourth portion (544) while the second housing part (220) is inserted into the first housing part (210). The wireless communication circuit (192) may be configured to communicate with the external electronic device using at least one of the third portion (543) or the fourth portion (544).

The wireless communication circuit (192) may be configured to communicate with the external electronic device using at least one of the fifth part (545), the sixth part (546), the seventh part (547), or the eighth part (548).

[0232] For example, the second housing part (220) may be movably coupled to one side of the first housing part (210). The housing (201) may further include a third housing part (1310) that is rotatably coupled to the other side of the first housing part (210) opposite to the one side.

[0233] An electronic device (101) is provided. The electronic device (101) may include a wireless communication circuit (192), a housing (201), a flexible display (230), and a conductive sheet (540). The housing (201) may include a first housing part (210) and a second housing part (220) movably (or slidably) coupled to the first housing part (210). The flexible display (230) may include an active area (510) configured to display visual information and a non-active area (520) positioned inside the housing (201) independently of movement of the second housing part (220). The flexible display (230) may include a conductive sheet (540) including at least one of an electrostatic discharge (ESD) sheet, a support sheet, or a shielding sheet for shielding noise. The conductive sheet (540) may include a first portion (541) positioned within the active area (510) and a second portion (542) positioned within the non-active area (520). The second portion (542) may include at least one grounding point (560) electrically connected to the ground of the electronic device (101) and at least one feeding point (550) positioned close to an end of the second portion (542) spaced apart from the first portion (541) and electrically connected to the wireless communication circuit (192). The wireless communication circuit (192) may be configured to communicate with an external electronic device using at least a portion of the second portion (542).

[0234] For example, the shape of the second portion (542) may correspond to the shape of the non-active area (520).

[0235] For example, the second portion (542) may include a third portion (543) including a first feed point (551) and a first ground point (561), at least a portion of which is configured to transmit or receive a signal on a first frequency, a fourth portion (544) including a second feed point (552) and a second ground point (562), at least a portion of which is configured to transmit or receive a signal on a second frequency, and at least one third ground point (563) positioned between the third portion (543) and the fourth portion (544). [0237] For example, the electronic device (101) may further include a printed circuit board (570) on which the wireless communication circuit (192) is arranged and a connection structure that electrically connects the printed circuit board (570) to the at least one power supply point (550) and the at least one ground point (560).
