Description

End surface processing device, rolling equipment, and end surface processing method

[0001] The present invention relates to an end face processing device, rolling equipment, and an end face processing method for processing the end faces of rolled material.

[0002] Patent document 1 describes a cutting tool that uses a front milling cutter, in which multiple cutting edges are arranged on the top circular surface of a truncated conical tool body, and a flat milling cutter, in which multiple cutting edges are arranged on the conical surface; the cutting tool is supported so that it can be moved freely in the forward / backward, left / right, and up / down directions; and while the rotation axis of the cutting tool is kept horizontal, a front milling process is performed on the front of the slab end face; and then a flat milling process is performed on at least one of the upper or lower corners where new cutting burrs generated by the process adhere, to simultaneously remove the weld deposit and the new cutting burrs.

[0003] Patent No. 5983266

[0004] In continuous slab casting equipment, continuously cast slabs are cut to a predetermined length by a cutter to form continuously cast slabs (hereinafter simply referred to as "slabs" unless otherwise specified), or the slabs are left as they are without being cut and then subjected to a predetermined processing before being sent to the hot rolling line for the next process.

[0005] In continuous slab casting equipment, continuously cast slabs are cut to a predetermined length using a cutting machine to produce continuously cast slabs. After undergoing the required processing, the slabs are sent to the hot rolling line for the next process. During this process, deposits, known as welding burrs, slag, and melting sag, can form on the cut end surfaces of the slabs. One cause of these deposits is the solidification of molten steel around the cut surface when cutting a slab using a gas cutting machine. Another cause is when the upper and lower surfaces of a slab are scarified using a scarifying machine to remove inclusion defects from the surface layer of the slab. The molten steel drips onto the slab end surface and solidifies in the area extending from the upper corner to the lower corner of the slab end surface.

[0006] If the deposits adhering to the end faces of the slab are left as they are, they can cause linear defects or surface peeling on the surface of the steel sheet during the subsequent rolling and plating processes.

[0007] As a conventional technique for removing such burrs, for example, Patent Document 1 describes a method in which milling cutters are provided on the top circular surface and conical surface of a truncated cone-shaped tool body, and while the rotation axis of the tool is kept horizontal, the front of the slab end face is first cut with the top circular surface of the tool, and then the upper and lower corners of the end face are cut in sequence with the conical surface of the tool, thereby removing the resulting burrs.

[0008] However, the above-mentioned conventional technique requires at least three cutting operations for one end face, which is time-consuming.

[0009] The present invention provides an end face processing device and an end face processing method that can remove burrs from an end face in a shorter time than conventional methods.

[0010] The present invention includes multiple means for solving the above-mentioned problems, and one example is an end face processing device for removing burrs from the end faces of slabs, comprising a cylindrical rotating drum that rotates around its rotation axis, and a processing unit provided on the outer surface of the rotating drum and configured to remove the burrs, wherein the rotation axis of the rotating drum is arranged horizontally or vertically, the length of the processing unit in the direction of the rotation axis is longer than the length of the end face of the opposing slab in the direction of the rotation axis, and the rotating drum is configured to move relatively vertically when the rotation axis is arranged horizontally, and to move relatively horizontally when the rotation axis is arranged vertically.

[0011] According to the present invention, burrs on an end face can be removed in a shorter time than in the past. Problems, configurations, and effects other than those described above will become apparent from the following description of the embodiments.

[0013] Hereinafter, embodiments of the edge surface processing device, rolling equipment, and edge surface processing method of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings used in this specification, identical or similar reference numerals are used to designate identical or corresponding components, and repeated explanations of these components may be omitted.

[0014] The main hot rolled steel products that are the subject of production in the present invention are hot rolled steel strips and thick plates, but the subject of production is not limited to these and includes various hot rolled steel products.

[0015] First Embodiment A first embodiment of an end face processing device and an end face processing method according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 11. FIG.

[0016] First, the overall configuration of the end face processing device and the end face processing method using the end face processing device will be described with reference to Figures 1 and 2. Figure 1 is a side view showing the schematic configuration of the end face processing device of Example 1, and Figure 2 is a view taken along the line A-A in Figure 1.

[0017] The end face processing device 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2 is a device for removing burrs 20 (see Figure 8, etc.) formed on an end face such as the rear end 11 of a slab 10, and is equipped with a first rotating drum 101, a cutting blade 102, a hydraulic cylinder 130, a first stopper 110, a support base 120, a bearing housing 150, a lever 160, etc.

[0018] The first rotating drum 101 is a cylindrical member that rotates around its horizontally disposed rotation axis, and is supported by bearing housings 150 at both axial ends.

[0019] The first rotating drum 101 is provided on its outer circumferential surface with a plurality of cutting blades 102 configured to remove burrs 20, and the slab rear end 11 of the slab 10 can be machined by the rotation and elevation of the first rotating drum 101. The length of the cutting blades 102 in the direction of the rotation axis is longer than the length of the slab rear end 11 of the opposing slab 10 in the direction of the rotation axis.

[0020] It should be noted that a grindstone may be provided on the outer periphery of the first rotating drum 101 instead of or in addition to the cutting blade 102 .

[0021] The bearing housing 150 is connected to the support base 120. Although the details of the connection between the bearing housing 150 and the support base 120 are not described, methods of connecting the bearing housing 150 with bolts or the like, or of lifting the bearing housing 150 to apply a balancing force to the support base 120 side and hold it in place, may be used.

[0022] The support base 120 is connected to the rotating shaft 140 via a lever 160. The rotating shaft 140 also has a portion that connects to a hydraulic cylinder 130, and the first rotating drum 101 and its support base 120 are raised and lowered by the stroke of the hydraulic cylinder 130. As a result, the first rotating drum 101 is configured to move relatively in the vertical direction when the rotating shaft is arranged vertically, and to move relatively in the horizontal direction when the rotating shaft is arranged vertically.

[0023] The hydraulic cylinder 130 is configured such that, when the slab rear end 11 is being machined, the relative vertical movement distance between the first rotating drum 101 and the slab rear end 11 exceeds the vertical length of the slab rear end 11. While one hydraulic cylinder 130 is shown in FIG. 2, it is possible to provide one on the other side of the slab 10 in the width direction. Also, while the slab 10 is fixed and machined by moving each mechanism within the end face machining device 1, it is also possible to fix each mechanism within the end face machining device 1 and move the slab 10 to machine it. In this case, the first moving unit and the second moving unit are mechanisms that move the slab 10.

[0024] In this invention, "during processing" refers to the timing when the grinding or cutting operation is actually being performed, excluding movement to the initial processing start position, when grinding or cutting a target portion such as the slab rear end 11. For example, when removing the upper corner burr 26 and the lower corner burr 28 of the side surface in Example 4 (FIGS. 22 to 24) described later, this also includes the operation of lowering the side surface to remove the lower corner burr 28 after removing the upper corner burr 26, as shown in FIG.

[0025] The first stopper 110 is disposed at the center of the slab 10 in the width direction, and is provided so as to face the rear end 11 of the slab. The position of the first stopper 110 shown in Figure 1 shows the retracted state, and the rotation of the first stopper 110 can be performed by an actuator such as a hydraulic cylinder 130, but the configuration is not limited to this. Further details will be omitted.

[0026] The slab 10 cast by the continuous casting machine 300 (see FIG. 27) is transported by the transport table rollers 50, and after the surface is scarfed by the surface scarfing device 320 (see FIG. 27), it proceeds in the direction of the arrow. Note that FIG. 27 shows a case where the slab is subjected to rough rolling and finish rolling continuously without being cut, but here we will explain a case where the slab is cut to a predetermined length at the outlet side of the continuous casting machine 300.

[0027] The pinch roller 70 is provided on the exit side (right side in FIG. 1) of the end face processing device 1 and has the function of determining the position of the rear end 11 of the slab to be processed by the end face processing device 1 and preventing the slab 10 from moving during end face processing. The side guide 60 also has the function of determining the center position of the slab 10 in the width direction.

[0028] Next, an edge face processing method for removing burrs 20 from the rear end 11 of a slab in the traveling direction of the slab 10 using the edge face processing device 1 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 3 to 11. Figures 3 to 7 are diagrams showing an example of the operating state of the edge face processing device of Example 1, Figure 8 is a diagram of a burr seen from the side, Figure 9 is a diagram of a burr seen from diagonally above, Figure 10 is a diagram of the slab seen from the side after the burr has been removed by the edge face processing device, and Figure 11 is a diagram of the slab seen from diagonally above after the burr has been removed by the edge face processing device.

[0029] Figure 3 shows the state in which the first stopper 110 has rotated in Figure 1. As shown in Figure 3, the first stopper 110 rotates after the slab 10 has passed through the end face processing device 1, and has the function of positioning the slab 10 when it is transported in the direction of the arrow (the direction opposite to the direction of the rolling equipment) by the pinch rollers 70 and the transport table rollers 50.

[0030] In order to fix the slab 10 at the processing position of the slab rear end 11 by the first stopper 110, the end face processing device 1 has a stopping device that has the function of stopping the movement of the first stopper 110. The structure of this stopping device can employ various known structures for fixing the first stopper 110, and the details thereof will be omitted.

[0031] The first stopper tip 112 determined by this stopping device is located δ in front of the cutting blade 102 on the outer periphery of the first rotating drum 101. This δ is the amount of the slab rear end 11 that is cut away by the first rotating drum 101.

[0032] The position of the first stopper tip 112 in the direction of travel of the slab 10 is set to be approximately the same as the fulcrum 111 of rotation of the first stopper 110. As a result, the position of the first stopper tip 112 is adjusted by the stopping device, and even if the value of δ changes slightly, there is almost no change in the perpendicularity of the first stopper tip 112, allowing the slab rear end 11 to be positioned with high precision.

[0033] FIG. 4 shows a state in which the rear end 11 of the slab comes into contact with the first stopper tip 112 of the first stopper 110 in FIG. 1 etc., stopping the slab 10 and causing the first rotating drum 101 to start rotating.

[0034] As shown in Figure 4, it is desirable that the first rotating drum 101 has rotated to the desired rotation speed when the rear end of the slab 10 abuts against the first stopper 110. In the state shown in Figure 4, the pinch rollers 70 and the conveying table rollers 50 stop conveying the slab 10. For example, the pinch rollers 70 are in a state where they are pressing the slab 10 with a given force, while the drive system of the pinch rollers 70 is braked.

[0035] Fig. 5 shows a state in which the first stopper 110 has been moved to the standby position in Fig. 4. In this state, the conditions for lowering the first rotating drum 101 are met.

[0036] FIG. 6 shows a state in which the hydraulic cylinder 130 in FIG. 5 has been extended to lower the first rotating drum 101 toward the rear end 11 of the slab.

[0037] For example, if the descending speed of the first rotating drum 101 is around 0.5 m / sec, the first rotating drum 101 will reach the end of its downward movement in about 2 seconds. When the first rotating drum 101 finishes rotating and processing the rear end 11 of the slab, the shaved-off portion will become hot chips. Therefore, it is desirable to cool the chips with water, and the chips and the cooled water will be collected vertically below and discharged outside the line.

[0038] 7 shows the state in which the slab 10 is being transported by the transport table rollers 50 from the end surface processing device 1 after the processing of the rear end 11 of the slab in FIG. 6. The first rotating drum 101 is raised to a standby position by the hydraulic cylinder 130.

[0039] The time required for the first rotary drum 101 to descend is about 2 seconds, and the end face processing can be completed in this short time.

[0040] 8 and 9 are a side view and a perspective view showing the scarf burr at the rear end 11 of the slab, respectively. Figures 10 and 11 are a side view and a perspective view showing the scarf burr at the rear end 11 of the slab after the scarf burr has been removed by the end face processing device 1.

[0041] If the end face processing is insufficient, the operations of Figures 3 to 7 can be performed again to obtain a clean slab rear end 11 as shown in Figures 10 and 11. The processing time for the slab rear end 11 is short, and this reprocessing can be performed several times as necessary.

[0042] Furthermore, although the embodiment in which processing is performed by the downward movement of the first rotating drum 101 has been described, processing may be performed by the upward movement.

[0043] Next, the effects of this embodiment will be described.

[0044] The end face processing device 1 for removing burrs 20 from the rear end 11 of the slab 10 of the above-mentioned embodiment 1 of the present invention comprises a cylindrical first rotating drum 101 that rotates around its rotation axis, and a cutting blade 102 that is provided on the outer surface of the first rotating drum 101 and is configured to remove burrs 20, the rotation axis of the first rotating drum 101 is arranged horizontally, the length of the cutting blade 102 in the direction of the rotation axis is longer than the length of the rotation axis at the rear end 11 of the slab 11 of the opposing slab 10, and the first rotating drum 101 is configured to move relatively vertically when the rotation axis is arranged horizontally, and to move relatively horizontally when the rotation axis is arranged vertically.

[0045] In the cutting process, the front and back surfaces are melted and the melted portions are blown away, so the scarf burrs do not only wrap around to the rear end 11 of the slab in the cutting direction, but also to the front end of the slab 10, and after cutting, they are removed in a direction perpendicular to the direction of travel by high-pressure water sprayed from the high-pressure water spray nozzle, so they wrap around to the slab side surface 13 of the slab 10.

[0046] It is necessary to remove these scarf burrs in a short time. This is because if it takes a long time, the temperature of the slab 10 will drop significantly, and the distance between casting and rolling will become longer. Therefore, it becomes difficult to maintain the rolling temperature, so it is extremely important to grind or cut the rear end 11 of the slab, etc., in a short time.

[0047] Therefore, as described above, the first rotating drum 101 is configured to extend in the width direction of the slab 10, and the grinding of the rear end 11 of the slab is completed by lowering or raising the first rotating drum 101.

[0048] In this way, it is possible to remove the burrs generated at the rear end 11 of the slab in a short time by a single processing operation, and it is possible to suppress the temperature drop of the slab 10 during end face processing compared to the conventional method. This makes it easier to ensure the temperature for direct rolling, and in offline mode, it is possible to remove the burrs at a higher temperature, thereby suppressing the amount of reheating.

[0049] Due to this effect, CO 2 This will enable the production of green steel with good surface quality while reducing emissions, and will contribute to the realization of compact casting and hot rolling facilities. Production rates of at least 2.0 to 2.5 Mton / y are expected.

[0050] In particular, it becomes possible to produce steel products with excellent surface quality by rolling with little energy loss. Here, "rolling with little energy loss" means direct rolling or rolling with reduced reheating amount in reheat rolling.

[0051] For example, by installing the end face processing device 1 in-line to remove scarf burrs (scalloped fins) that form after surface scalloping, direct rolling of materials with strict surface quality requirements becomes possible.

[0052] Furthermore, by using the end face processing device 1 offline, it is possible to eliminate the conventional high-temperature, heavy physical labor performed by workers, and even offline, the surface can be machined and scarf burrs can be removed while the slab 10 is at a higher temperature, making it possible to reduce the amount of reheating when the slab is returned to the rolling line for rolling.

[0053] Furthermore, by arranging, for example, the surface cutting device 320 and the edge processing device 1 in the direct rolling of thin slabs, it is possible to produce plate material (green steel) with good surface quality from thin slabs. Conventionally, there have been significant restrictions on the rolling of plate material with good surface quality in direct rolling of thin slabs, but this can be resolved.

[0054] In addition, the first rotating drum 101 has a rotation axis arranged horizontally and further includes a hydraulic cylinder 130 configured so that when processing the rear end 11 of the slab, the relative vertical movement distance between the first rotating drum 101 and the rear end 11 of the slab exceeds the vertical length of the rear end 11 of the slab. Therefore, grinding and cutting can be performed by moving the hydraulic cylinder 130 back and forth once, thereby enabling processing to be completed in a short time.

[0055] Furthermore, by providing a first stopper 110 that is arranged opposite the rear end 11 of the slab, the positioning accuracy of the rear end 11 of the slab can be further improved, thereby making it possible to extremely improve the processing accuracy.

[0056] While the example in Figure 6 shows the pinch rollers 70 used to fix the slab 10 so that it does not move when the rear end of the slab 10 is machined, other methods are also within the scope of the present invention. For example, one method is to restrain the slab 10 in the width direction using side guides 60 on the operating side and drive side, but other methods of fixing the slab 10 are also within the scope of the present invention.

[0057] Furthermore, at the front end and rear end 11 of the slab 10, as in the case of processing the slab side surface 13 described in Example 2 below, it is also possible to position the first rotating drum 101 vertically in the plate thickness direction and move the first rotating drum 101 in the width direction of the slab 10 while rotating it to process the front end and rear end 11 of the slab 10.

[0058] <Embodiment 2> An end face processing device and an end face processing method according to a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 12 to 14. Figure 12 is a side view showing the general configuration of the end face processing device according to the second embodiment, and is a view taken along the arrows D-D in Figure 14. Figure 13 is a view taken along the arrows C-C in Figure 14, and Figure 14 is a view taken along the arrows B-B in Figure 12.

[0059] In the end face processing apparatus 1A of this embodiment 2 shown in Figure 12, the second rotating drum 103 has a rotation axis arranged vertically and further includes a conveying table roller 50 configured so that when processing the slab side surface 13, the relative horizontal movement distance between the second rotating drum 103 and the slab side surface 13 exceeds the horizontal length of the slab side surface 13.

[0060] More specifically, the end surface processing device 1A is composed of a second rotating drum 103 and its bearing housing (omitted for convenience of illustration), a movable frame 170 to which they are attached, a hydraulic cylinder 135 that moves the movable frame 170, a first side guide 62 and a second side guide 64 arranged opposite the slab side surface 13, etc.

[0061] The second rotating drum 103 is provided with cutting blades 104 on its outer periphery, and the rotation of the second rotating drum 103 and the movement of the slab 10 allow the slab side surface 13 to be machined. Note that a grinding wheel can be provided instead of or in addition to the cutting blades 104.

[0062] A drive shaft 190 is connected to the shaft end of the second rotating drum 103. In addition, this drive shaft 190 is connected to a motor, so that the second rotating drum 103 can be rotated at a desired rotation speed.

[0063] The moving frame 170 is supported by guide wheels 180, and the hydraulic cylinder 135 allows the second rotating drum 103 to abut against the slab side surface 13, or to retract.

[0064] The length of the body of the conveying table roller 50 that comes into contact with the slab 10 is narrower than the width of the slab 10. This makes it easier for chips generated by cutting by the second rotating drum 103 to fly downward, which can prevent them from becoming a cause of defects.

[0065] The first side guide 62 is provided on the side where there are no or few scalding fins in the direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the slab 10. In contrast, the second side guide 64 is provided on the side where there are scalding fins in the direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the slab 10.

[0066] The first side guide 62 is a fixed member, whereas the second side guide 64 is made up of vertical rollers and is configured to be movable in a direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the slab 10 .

[0067] Here, the first side guide 62 is described as being on the drive side, but the same applies when the first side guide 62 is on the operation side. The first side guide 62 can also move in accordance with the width Ws of the slab 10.

[0068] As shown in Figures 13 and 14, when processing end faces using the end face processing device 1A, the first side guide 62 is used as a reference, and the second side guide 64 presses the side of the slab 10 toward the first side guide 62 with an arbitrary force, causing the second rotating drum 103 on the drive side to protrude from the first side guide 62 by δd.

[0069] Also, the width Ws of the slab 10 is set by measuring the width of the slab 10 or obtaining it as higher-level information.

[0070] Next, the second rotating drum 103 on the operating side is set so that the distance δw between the position of the second side guide 64 on the slab side surface 13 side in the width direction of the slab 10 and the cutting blade 104 on the outer periphery of the second rotating drum 103 is the same as the distance δd between the position of the first side guide 62 on the slab side surface 13 side in the width direction of the slab 10 and the cutting blade 104 on the outer periphery of the second rotating drum 103. Here, δd and δw correspond to the amount of cutting on each side surface when the cutting fins are ignored and there are no cutting fins.

[0071] Although the slag cutting fins have continuous portions of molten base material, the cutting resistance of the slag cutting fins is smaller than when removing an arbitrary amount of the entire slab side surface 13. Therefore, even if δd = δw, the pushing force on the driving side and the pushing force on the operating side are almost the same, so the slab 10 does not tilt when viewed from above as shown in Figure 13, and the state in which it is formed by the first side guide 62 and the second side guide 64 is maintained.

[0072] Furthermore, small amounts of δd and δw are sufficient, and if slight residual fins do not cause problems in rolling, δd and δw may be set to 0 or negative values.

[0073] Furthermore, when δd = δw is set, if a large difference in the pressing force between the driving side and the operating side occurs, processing is continued while adjusting the positions of the second rotating drums 103 on the driving side and the operating side so that the difference in pressing force between the operating side and the driving side is equal to or less than an arbitrarily determined value.

[0074] The other configurations and operations are substantially the same as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method of the first embodiment described above, and details thereof will be omitted.

[0075] The end face processing device and end face processing method according to the second embodiment of the present invention also provide substantially the same effects as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method according to the first embodiment described above.

[0076] In addition, we have explained the case where the conveying table roller 50 is a second moving part configured so that the relative horizontal movement distance between the second rotating drum 103 and the slab side surface 13 exceeds the horizontal length of the slab side surface 13 when processing the slab side surface 13.However, instead of the conveying table roller 50, the second moving part can be an actuator that moves the second rotating drum 103 back and forth in the direction of travel of the slab 10.

[0077] In addition, the second rotating drum 103 can be used to process the rear end 11 or the front end of the slab, and in this case, the second moving part, which is configured so that the relative horizontal movement distance between the second rotating drum 103 and the rear end 11 or the front end of the slab exceeds the horizontal length of the rear end 11 or the front end of the slab during processing, can be either a conveying table roller 50 or an actuator that moves the second rotating drum 103 in the width direction of the slab 10.

[0078] In this way, at the front end and rear end 11 of the slab 10, the second rotating drum 103 can be positioned perpendicular to the thickness direction, as with the slab side surface 13, and the second rotating drum 103 can be rotated while moving in the width direction of the slab 10 to perform end face grinding.

[0079] Third Embodiment An end face processing device and an end face processing method according to a third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 15 to 20. Figures 15 to 20 are diagrams showing an outline of the end face processing method according to the third embodiment.

[0080] 15 to 20, the rotating drum includes a first rotating drum 101 (embodiment 1) whose rotation axis is arranged horizontally and a second rotating drum 103 (embodiment 2) whose rotation axis is arranged vertically. Here, descriptions of the pinch roller 70, side guides 60, 62, 64, etc. are omitted.

[0081] In this case, the cutting blade 102 provided on the first rotating drum 101 is configured to remove burrs 20 from the end surface of the first slab leading end 12A or the first slab trailing end 11A in the conveying direction of the slab 10, and the processing portion provided on the second rotating drum 103 is configured to remove burrs 20 from the end surface of the first slab side 13A in the width direction of the slab 10.

[0082] The second rotating drum 103 is disposed downstream of the first rotating drum 101 in the conveying direction of the slab 10 .

[0083] 15 shows the state in which the first slab 10A has moved in the direction of the arrow (towards the rolling equipment) and stopped. This is the standby position of the slab 10 before the end face processing starts, and the end face processing flow starts from this position.

[0084] 16 shows a state in which the first slab 10A has advanced in the direction of travel by a distance L1 and is stopped when the leading edge of the first slab 10A abuts against a stopper provided around the first rotating drum 101. In this state, the first rotating drum 101 rotates and descends to process the leading edge of the first slab 10A.

[0085] Figure 17 shows the state when, after the processing of the leading edge of the first slab 10A is completed, the first slab 10A advances by Ld1 + L2, and the leading edge of the first slab 10A advances to the position of the second rotating drum 103. In the state shown in Figure 17, the processing of the first slab side surface 13A by the second rotating drum 103 begins.

[0086] FIG. 18 shows the position of the first slab 10A when side processing by the second rotating drum 103 up to the rear end 11A of the first slab is completed.

[0087] Figure 19 shows the state in which the first slab 10A continues to move in the direction of the arrow (the direction opposite to the direction of the rolling equipment) until the rear end 11A of the first slab abuts against a stopper provided around the first rotating drum 101 and stops. In this state shown in Figure 19, the first rotating drum 101 rotates and descends, processing the rear end 11A of the first slab. In this way, burrs 20 are removed from the first slab leading edge 12A of the slab 10, the slab side surface 13, and the rear end 11A of the first slab in that order.

[0088] Here, the stopper at the leading end of the first slab 10A in FIG. 16 and the stopper at the rear end 11A of the first slab in FIG. 19 are assumed to be provided as separate devices in the end face processing device 1.

[0089] 20 shows the state when the first slab 10A moves in the direction of the arrow (toward the rolling equipment) and the rear end 11A of the first slab passes the center position of the second rotating drum 103. This timing is also the timing when the next material, the second slab 10B, can move to the processing position of the leading edge surface by the first rotating drum 101. Here, the second slab 10B can move when the end face processing device 1 is ready to process the second slab 10B.

[0090] An example of the time required for the end face processing in the flow of end face processing shown in Figures 15 to 20 is shown below. In this example, the cast first slab 10A has a thickness of 165 mm and a length of 17 m (corresponding to a weight per unit width of 22 kg / mm).

[0091] 15 and 16, the time it takes for the first slab 10A to move L1 is 10 seconds, assuming L1 = 2 m and an average moving speed of the first slab 10A of 0.2 m / sec. Furthermore, the processing time for the tip of the first slab 10A is 2 seconds for lowering + 2 seconds for raising = 4 seconds.

[0092] In Figure 17, the time it takes for the tip of the first slab 10A to move Ld1 + L2 and begin processing the end surface of the side of the first slab 10A is 14 seconds, assuming Ld1 = 0.8 m, L2 = 2 m, and the average moving speed of the first slab 10A is 0.2 m / sec.

[0093] In Figure 18, the time it takes for the second rotating drum 103 to complete end surface processing of the side surface of the first slab 10A is 34 seconds, assuming Ls = 17 m and the average moving speed of the second rotating drum 103 is 0.5 m / sec.

[0094] In Figure 19, the time it takes for the rear end 11A of the first slab to move L2 is 10 seconds, assuming L2 = 2 m and the average moving speed of the first slab 10A is 0.2 m / sec. The processing time for the rear end 11A of the first slab is 2 seconds for lowering + 2 seconds for raising = 4 seconds.

[0095] In FIG. 20, the time it takes for the rear end 11A of the first slab to move by L2 is 10 seconds, assuming that L2=2 m and the average moving speed of the first slab 10A is 0.2 m / sec.

[0096] The sum of the times in Figures 15 to 20 is 10+4+14+34+10+4+10=86 seconds.

[0097] The distance Lp1 traveled by the first slab 10A during this time is Lp1 = Ls + L1 + Ld1 + L2 = 17 + 2 + 0.8 + 2 = 21.8 m, and the average movement speed during this Lp1 is 21.8 m / 86 s = 0.25 m / sec = 15 m / min.

[0098] Here, since the maximum casting speed of the first slab 10A is approximately 4 m / min, if two strands of slab 10 are supplied to the continuous casting machine, the average moving speed between Lp1 must be 2 x 4 = 8 m / min or more. However, since the slab 10 can pass through the end face processing device 1B at an average moving speed equivalent to 15 m / min, it can be seen that this does not restrict the operation of the continuous casting machine 300.

[0099] The other configurations and operations are substantially the same as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method of the first embodiment described above, and details thereof will be omitted.

[0100] The end face processing device and end face processing method according to the third embodiment of the present invention also provide substantially the same effects as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method according to the first and second embodiments described above.

[0101] In addition, the rotating drum includes a first rotating drum 101 whose rotation axis is arranged horizontally, and a second rotating drum 103 whose rotation axis is arranged vertically. In particular, the cutting blade 102 provided on the first rotating drum 101 is configured to remove burrs 20 from the end face of the first slab leading edge 12A or the first slab rear edge 11A in the conveying direction of the slab 10, and the processing section provided on the second rotating drum 103 is configured to remove burrs 20 from the end face of the first slab side edge 13A in the width direction of the slab 10. This makes it possible to achieve both a rotating drum arrangement suitable for processing the first slab leading edge 12A or the first slab rear edge 11A and a rotating drum arrangement suitable for processing the first slab side edge 13A. Since all end faces of the slab 10 can be processed with very high efficiency, further improvements in processing efficiency and quality can be achieved.

[0102] Furthermore, since the second rotating drum 103 is located downstream of the first rotating drum 101 in the conveying direction of the slab 10, the end surface can be processed without the slab 10 running in the opposite direction, thereby further improving processing efficiency.

[0103] Furthermore, by removing the burrs 20 from the first slab leading end 12A of the slab 10 and then the first slab trailing end 11A of the slab 10, the end face can be machined without running the slab 10 backward.

[0104] In Figure 15, it has been explained that one first rotating drum 101 is used to cut the end faces of both the first slab leading end 12A and the first slab trailing end 11A of the slab 10, but it is also possible to install another first rotating drum 101 and use separate first rotating drums 101 for the leading and trailing ends of the slab 10, or more preferably, to process them simultaneously.

[0105] 15, the second rotating drums 103 on both sides of the slab 10 are one pair, but it is also possible to use multiple pairs, such as two pairs. Furthermore, if it is necessary to remove burrs from only one of the two sides of the slab 10, there may be no need to use a pair.

[0106] It is also within the scope of the present invention to process only one of the leading end or trailing end of the slab 10, or only one of the two side surfaces of the slab 10.

[0107] Furthermore, the rotation directions of the first rotating drum 101 and the second rotating drum 103 indicated by the arrows are not limited to the directions shown in the drawings. The rotation directions are set taking into consideration factors such as reliable burr removal and ease of chip collection.

[0108] <Embodiment 4> An end face processing device and an end face processing method according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 21 to 24. Figures 21 to 24 are diagrams showing an outline of the end face processing method according to the fourth embodiment.

[0109] The end face processing device of this embodiment further includes a drive device that changes the relative positional relationship between the cutting blade 102 and the slab 10. This drive device makes the distance δ2 between the first rotating drum 101 and the rear end 11 of the slab 10 larger than δ in Figure 3, thereby removing the upper corner burrs 22 and the lower corner burrs 24.

[0110] The drive device can be, for example, a mechanism that adjusts the drive amount of the conveying table roller 50 or the hydraulic cylinder 130, but is not limited to this configuration and can also be in other forms, the details of which will be omitted.

[0111] Fig. 21 shows the state of the slab 10 before machining the rear end 11. As shown in Fig. 21, the rear end 11 of the slab has upper corner burrs 22 and lower corner burrs 24 in part thereof.

[0112] 22 shows the state in which the first rotating drum 101 is lowered by a desired amount to remove the upper corner burrs 22. In this manner, the drive device moves the cutting blade 102 toward the upper end side of the slab rear end 11 to remove the corresponding upper corner burrs 22.

[0113] Figure 23 shows the state in which the slab 10 is moved in the direction of the arrow and then the first rotating drum 101 is lowered, and Figure 24 shows the state in which the slab 10 is moved in the direction of the arrow to provide a distance δ2 between the first rotating drum 101 and the rear end 11 of the slab 10, and then the first rotating drum 101 is raised to remove the bottom corner burr 24. In this way, the drive device moves the cutting blade 102 to the lower end side of the rear end 11 of the slab to remove the corresponding bottom corner burr 24.

[0114] If all harmful burrs have been completely removed by following the steps up to this point, end face processing can be completed.

[0115] If there is any adhesion at the rear end 11 of the slab and it needs to be removed, the distance δ between the first rotating drum 101 and the rear end 11 of the slab 10 can be set as shown in Figure 3, and the first rotating drum 101 can be lowered or raised while rotating before or after removing the upper corner burrs 22 and lower corner burrs 24, thereby allowing the processing to be performed.

[0116] The other configurations and operations are substantially the same as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method of the first embodiment described above, and details thereof will be omitted.

[0117] The end face processing device and end face processing method according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention also provide substantially the same effects as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method according to the first embodiment described above.

[0118] In addition, by moving the cutting blade 102 to the upper end side of the rear end 11 of the slab to remove the corresponding upper corner burr 22, and then moving the cutting blade 102 to the lower end side of the rear end 11 of the slab to remove the corresponding lower corner burr 24, it is possible to reliably process and remove the areas where burrs are most likely to occur, thereby improving the processing effect.

[0119] In addition, the configuration is not limited to moving the cutting blade 102 to the upper end side of the rear end 11 of the slab to remove the corresponding upper corner burr 22, and then moving the cutting blade 102 to the lower end side of the rear end 11 of the slab to remove the corresponding lower corner burr 24, but it is also possible to move the cutting blade 102 to the lower end side of the rear end 11 of the slab to remove the corresponding lower corner burr 24, and then moving the cutting blade 102 to the upper end side of the rear end 11 of the slab to remove the corresponding upper corner burr 22.

[0120] An edge surface processing device and an edge surface processing method according to a fifth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 25 and 26. Figure 25 is a side view of a cutting burr, and Figure 26 is a diagram showing an outline of a rotating drum in the edge surface processing device according to the fifth embodiment.

[0121] 25 shows the state of the slab 10 before processing the slab side surface 13. As part of the slab side surface 13, a side surface upper corner burr 26 and a side surface lower corner burr 28 exist.

[0122] In the end face processing device of this embodiment, which is suitable for processing and removing such burrs, the second rotating drum 103A has a hand drum shape as shown in Figure 26, and the outer diameter of the cutting blades 104A1 and 104A2 is larger at the end (cutting blade 104A1) than at the inside (cutting blade 104A2) in the direction of the rotation axis.

[0123] The upper side corner burrs 26 and the lower side corner burrs 28 can be formed at the corners of the slab side surface 13 of the slab 10, so by making the second rotating drum 103A into a hand drum shape, it is possible to reliably remove the upper side corner burrs 26 and the lower side corner burrs 28.

[0124] The other configurations and operations are substantially the same as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method of the second embodiment described above, and details thereof will be omitted.

[0125] The end face processing device and end face processing method according to the fifth embodiment of the present invention also provide substantially the same effects as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method according to the second embodiment described above.

[0126] Furthermore, since the outer diameter of the cutting blades 104A1 and 104A2 is larger at the end (cutting blade 104A1) than at the inside (cutting blade 104A2) in the direction of the rotation axis, the upper corner burrs 26 and the lower corner burrs 28 on the side of the operating side and driving side of the slab 10 can be removed simultaneously, thereby further improving processing efficiency.

[0127] In addition, it is also possible to simultaneously remove the upper corner burrs 22 and the lower corner burrs 24 as in Example 4 by horizontally approaching the second rotating drum 103A having the cutting blades 104A1 and 104A2 of this example toward the rear end 11 of the slab.

[0128] Sixth Embodiment A rolling mill according to a sixth embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Fig. 27. Fig. 27 is a diagram showing an outline of the rolling mill according to the sixth embodiment.

[0129] The present embodiment shown in Fig. 27 includes a continuous casting machine 300, a surface rake device 320, a roughing mill 340, an induction heating bar heater 350, a descaling device 360, a finishing rolling mill train 370, and the end face processing device 1A of Example 2. In Fig. 27, the surface rake device 320, the end face processing device 1A, the continuous casting machine 300, and the rolling line are directly connected.

[0130] Instead of or in addition to the end face processing device 1A of the second embodiment, the end face processing device 1 or 1B of any of the first, third, fourth and fifth embodiments can be provided.

[0131] The molten steel in the ladle 304 is poured into a mold 312 of the continuous casting machine 300 via a tundish 308 , and solidifies completely at an outlet 316 of the continuous casting machine to become a slab 10 , which is then transported to a roughing mill 340 .

[0132] The slabs 10 produced here are relatively thin slabs 10, and are subjected to rough rolling and finish rolling without being cut.

[0133] After being rolled into a bar 14 by a roughing mill 340, the bar 14 is heated to a desired temperature by an induction heating bar heater 350, surface scale is removed by a descaling device 360, and the bar is then rolled into a strip 15 by a finishing rolling mill train 370. After the finish rolling, a strip cooling device, a strip dividing device, and a coiler (all of which are omitted for convenience of illustration) are provided, and the bar 14 is cut to a desired length to continuously produce coils.

[0134] In this embodiment, a surface cutting device 320 and an end face processing device 1A are arranged between a continuous casting machine 300 and a roughing rolling mill 340. Since the slab 10 is in a continuous state, there are no leading or trailing ends of the slab 10. The end face processing device 1A is equipped with a second rotating drum 103 so that the slab side surface 13 of the slab 10 can be processed.

[0135] Here, the surface cutting device 320 has been described as an example of a method for removing scratches and impurities on the surface of a steel piece by heating the required parts with a preheating flame of oxygen, acetylene (propane), etc., and then blowing oxygen to blow away the iron oxide formed by the heat of the oxidation reaction, thereby removing scratches and impurities on the surface, but the method is not limited to this surface cutting device 320.

[0136] For example, a method of melting the surface with a laser and blowing off the melted portion can also be considered as one type of surface scalding device 320. Other means of melting the surface are also included in the surface scalding device 320. Burrs are also generated when performing these surface scalding operations, but removing the burrs with an end face processing device falls within the scope of the present invention.

[0137] The surface rake-cutting device 320 may also be a surface polishing device using a grinder. Scratches and impurities on the surface may be removed using a grinder (grinding wheel). Even in this case, burrs may form on the corners of the slab 10. The edge processing device of the present invention is equipped with cutting blades 102, 104, 104A1, 104A2 or grindstones on the outer periphery of the first rotating drum 101 and the second rotating drum 103, making it possible to remove the burrs.

[0138] In the above explanation, the end face processing device of the present invention has been described as a means for removing burrs after surface machining, but the scope of the present invention also extends to other methods, such as grinding wheels, that are effective in removing burrs formed on end faces.

[0139] Although it has been explained that the slab 10 is heated by a reheating furnace or induction heating when returning the offline slab 10 to the rolling line, other methods are also possible for this reheating. When heating by induction heating or an electric furnace (not mentioned in the explanation), direct CO 2 This will help reduce emissions and lead to the production of green steel.

[0140] The configuration and operation of the end face processing device and end face processing method are substantially the same as those of the end face processing device and end face processing method of any one of the first to fifth embodiments described above, and details thereof will be omitted.

[0141] In the conventional blast furnace production method, carbon C from coke was mainly used to reduce iron oxide. 2 In contrast to this, there is direct reduction, which uses natural gas for reduction. In this case, the maximum production volume per unit is about 2.5 million tons / year. Furthermore, H 2 Direct reduction using CO 2 This is an effective method for producing green steel as it produces fewer emissions than the blast furnace production method.

[0142] The reduced iron obtained by direct reduction in the upstream process is melted in an electric furnace, fed to a continuous casting machine downstream, and then sent to rolling equipment to produce plate and other products. These downstream steel production methods are required to be able to produce plate in the same way as the blast furnace production method. Some of the steel types produced may require strict surface quality requirements.

[0143] Conventionally, surface defects have not been removed by surface machining in continuous casting and rolling lines for relatively thin slabs 10. One reason for this is the difficulty in removing scarf burrs that are generated by surface machining.

[0144] In particular, when producing materials with strict surface quality requirements, conventional technology requires offline surface machining and removal of scarf burrs that occur on the slab 10, making direct rolling impossible.

[0145] However, continuous casting and rolling lines are compact facilities and CO 2 As equipment capable of producing green steel with reduced emissions and little energy loss, there is high demand for this equipment, even if it cannot produce materials with strict surface quality or some steel types.

[0146] In such a situation, as in Example 6 of the present invention, in the case of a rolling facility equipped with an end face processing device of any of Examples 1 to 5, by providing the surface scarifying device 320 and the end face processing devices 1, 1A, 1B in the casting-rolling line, it becomes possible to produce plate material (= green steel) with excellent surface quality by direct rolling in various production methods, including not only the blast furnace production method but also the electric furnace production method, etc., and since it becomes possible to produce material with strict surface quality requirements in the continuous casting and rolling line, there is an advantage in that it is possible to expand the types of steel produced in the continuous casting and rolling line.

[0147] Although a complete continuous line for casting and rolling is shown here, there is also a method in which a relatively thin slab 10 is rough rolled in one direction to produce a bar 14, which is then rolled in one direction in a finishing rolling mill train 370 to produce a strip 15. This relatively thin slab 10 is cut to a predetermined length at the outlet side of the continuous casting machine 300. In this case, rolling is possible by cutting the front, rear and side ends of the slab 10 with an end face processing device to remove scarf burrs, as in Example 3.

[0148] Furthermore, although it has been stated that at least one strand of the continuous casting machine 300 and the downstream hot rolling equipment are on approximately the same line, if they are on the exact same line, or if there is a slight deviation and the slab 10 can be moved to the same line relative to the rolling line by, for example, moving laterally using a slab 10 transport device, this also falls within the scope of the present invention, including cases where the continuous casting machine 300 has multiple strands.

[0149] Additionally, the following layouts are included:

[0150] A surface rake device 320 and end face processing devices 1, 1A, and 1B are installed on the outlet side of the continuous casting machine 300, and the cast slab 10 can be transported to hot rolling equipment without being moved outside the line, allowing direct rolling. In this layout, an offline transport device is installed on the inlet side of the roughing rolling mill 340, making it possible to discharge the slab 10 offline. When a problem occurs on the rolling line, the slab 10 is transported offline. In addition, the slab 10 is also transported offline when it is determined that it cannot be rolled as is after passing through the surface rake device 320 and end face processing devices 1, 1A, and 1B due to remaining quality issues.

[0151] In the case of thick slabs (here, a thick slab refers to a slab 10 having a thickness exceeding about 150 mm, for example. This is intended to be a slab 10 having a thickness that requires reverse rolling in rough rolling), the temperature drop around the edges is particularly large during the process of transporting the slab 10 from continuous casting to the rolling line. Therefore, an induction heating means can be provided between the casting area and the rolling area to heat the end faces and near the surface of the slab 10 before rough rolling.

[0152] At least one roughing mill 340 is used, which performs reverse rolling. By using reverse rolling in this way, the number of rolling mills can be reduced. In contrast, the multiple finishing mills 370 perform unidirectional rolling.

[0153] The surface slag grinding device 320 and the edge processing device can be installed offline. This eliminates manual labor and eliminates heavy physical labor under high temperatures. Furthermore, because the surface slag grinding and edge grinding can be performed offline at higher temperatures, it is possible to prevent the temperature of the slab 10 from dropping, reducing the energy required for reheating and contributing to the production of green steel.

[0154] In the production of thin slabs, when the cast slab 10 is continuously rolled without being cut, a surface rake device 320 can be installed between the continuous casting machine 300 and the rolling mill to perform surface rake, and an end face processing device can be provided to process the end face of the first slab side face 13A and remove scarf burrs. This makes it possible to produce materials with strict surface quality requirements even in the production of thin slabs.

[0155] In addition, in the production of thin slabs, if the surface is surface-cut after being divided into slabs 10 after casting, processing the edges of the four sides of the slab 10 makes it possible to produce materials with strict surface quality.

[0156] <Others> The present invention is not limited to the above-described examples, and includes various modifications. The above-described examples have been described in detail to clearly explain the present invention, and the present invention is not necessarily limited to those having all of the described configurations.

[0157] It is also possible to replace part of the configuration of one embodiment with the configuration of another embodiment, or to add the configuration of one embodiment to the configuration of another embodiment. It is also possible to add, delete, or replace part of the configuration of each embodiment with the configuration of another embodiment.

[0158] For example, while the methods of Example 1, Example 3, and Example 4 have been shown for deburring the leading and trailing ends of the slab 10, it is also within the scope of the present invention to combine these examples. In particular, the leading and trailing ends of the slab 10 are separated by a torch cutter at the outlet side of the continuous casting machine 300, and the sagging that occurs during this process is also a type of burr and can be removed by the end face processing device of the present invention, and is within the scope of the present invention.

[0159] Furthermore, when cutting with a torch cutter, the cutting may not be perpendicular to the direction of travel, but may be slightly tilted. In such cases, the method of Example 4 is more effective in terms of removing burrs.

[0160] When it is necessary to combine the first and second embodiments, the methods of the first and second embodiments are selected to be performed multiple times depending on the inclination.
