Description

Electronic device for controlling solar power output using a high-efficiency harvesting control algorithm and a control method thereof

[0001] The present invention relates to an electronic device that controls the electric output power of a solar cell by a high-efficiency harvesting control algorithm, which provides a solution for improving the commercial efficiency of a solar cell by boosting electric power that falls short of a target power, distributing it to a low-voltage harvesting circuit for storage, and supplying it to an output circuit (which performs output of the current stored in the low-voltage harvesting circuit) when the stored electric power reaches the target power, thereby increasing the power of generated electricity.

[0002] As a general method for boosting electricity, it is possible to boost the voltage to the target power using a booster device, but there are physical limitations in continuously outputting and using the boosted electricity.

[0003] It is possible to boost power with a general booster and harvesting element, store it in a storage element, and output it for a certain period of time, but directly charging it with a capacitor or battery is not continuous storage and charging, so the primary power loss is large, and the capacity of the charging element is also inevitably limited.

[0004] In addition, both capacitors and batteries inevitably have a delay time between the time they step up low power, store the stored power, and output it as the target power before recharging it. This phenomenon of delay time is called the blank point and latency problem.

[0005] As a result, capacitors with low charging capacity will alternate between short charging times and output times, while high-capacity capacitors and batteries will only have slightly longer charging times and output times, but the charging time will alternate after the output time, resulting in the same problem of blank points occurring after output. If this problem is partially solved and the section in which the boosted power can be continuously output without interruption is expanded, the total generated electricity production can be increased by continuously using the boosted power of the generated power.

[0006] Meanwhile, the photoelectric conversion efficiency and practical commercial efficiency of conventional solar cells remain in the 20% range, making it difficult to reach the break-even point when fossil fuels are replaced with solar energy, and secondary waste issues are bound to arise.

[0007] To solve these problems, ultimately, improving energy generation efficiency will be the key issue, and research must be conducted to find ways to increase the commercial efficiency of solar power plants by reducing the time of blank points that occur during the power generation step-up process and thereby improving the basic power generation output of solar cells.

[0008]

[0009] Meanwhile, the matters described as background technology above are only intended to enhance understanding of the background of the present invention, and should not be taken as an acknowledgment that they correspond to prior art already known to those with ordinary skill in the art.

[0010] The present invention is intended to solve the aforementioned problem, and provides an electronic device and a control method thereof, which controls the stored power to be sequentially output without a blank point by arranging two or more capacitors that store boosted low power, and at this time, stores the output power again in a secondary capacitor and a battery to minimize the crossing time of the blank point of the secondary output.

[0011] As the steps according to the control method of the present invention are repeated, the crossing time of the blank point is shortened, so that the time for power output without interruption is lengthened, and at the same time, the charge difference when connected between the solar cell and the electronic device of the present invention is increased through the charge reduction inducing function of the harvesting element, so that the power output of the solar cell is increased through the drop phenomenon.

[0012] According to the research results on the electronic device of this institute, the power output of a 300W class solar cell was 11W in an environment with an illuminance of 5,000Lux (illuminance set by controlling the distance with 10 LED daylight lamps irradiating a total of 1200W of light), but when 3 harvesting elements were divided and connected in parallel, the primary output of the solar cell was confirmed to increase to 13.7W, and when 3 boosting elements were applied to boost the voltage, the final output was confirmed to improve to 15.4W, and it was confirmed that the control method of this institute did not cause a disconnection phenomenon and continuously charged.

[0013]

[0090] The second artificial intelligence model may be an artificial intelligence model trained to calculate the minimum target power of the low-power harvesting circuit for the solar energy data and the rate of change of the output value based on second learning data including at least one of the output value of the low-power harvesting circuit, the output time point of the low-power harvesting circuit, the hourly amount of sunlight, and the blank point occurrence time.

[0091] Accordingly, the memory may contain instructions for causing the processor to perform the following control steps:

[0092] Specifically, when the administrator terminal performs the control steps, when the administrator terminal receives the first output value from the electronic device (100), the administrator terminal can update the rate of change of the first output value for the first harvesting circuit (130) based on the first output value.

[0093] Thereafter, the administrator terminal inputs the rate of change of the updated first output value and real-time solar power data into the first artificial intelligence model, and transmits control data for the first target power calculated based on the output of the first artificial intelligence model to the electronic device (100), thereby variably applying the upper limit of the first harvesting circuit (130) according to the amount of sunlight, thereby preventing an increase in the occurrence time of a blank point due to a change in the amount of generated energy according to the amount of sunlight.

[0094] At this time, when receiving a second output value from the electronic device (100), the manager terminal can update the rate of change of the second output value for the second harvesting circuit (140) based on the second output value, and input the updated rate of change of the second output value and real-time solar energy data into the second artificial intelligence model.

[0095] Accordingly, the administrator terminal transmits control data for a larger value between the second target power calculated based on the output of the second artificial intelligence model and the first target power to the electronic device (100), thereby limiting the upper limit of power distribution to the harvesting circuit based on the larger target power, thereby reducing the probability of an increase in the occurrence time of a blank point.

[0096]

[0097] Meanwhile, in performing control steps according to various embodiments of the present invention, the administrator terminal can identify a first time zone in which a blank point occurs, in which the time for which both the first output value and the second output value are not received exceeds a threshold time.

[0098] Accordingly, the administrator terminal can select at least one target power included in the control data of the second time zone, which is a certain period of time prior to the first time zone, as error data, and calculate a weight proportional to the time interval of the first time zone.

[0099] The administrator terminal generates correction data by increasing at least one target power included in the error data by applying a weight to each of the target powers, and retrains at least one of the first artificial intelligence model and the second artificial intelligence model based on the solar data matching the second time zone and the correction data, thereby correcting the previous learning content for the target power for a certain time period (the second time period) that affected the time period (the first time period) in which the blank point occurred, thereby automatically increasing the reliability of the output of each artificial intelligence model.

[0100] At this time, if the target power included in the error data is the target power for the first harvesting circuit (130), the administrator terminal can retrain only the first artificial intelligence model through the correction data, and if the error data includes the target power for the second harvesting circuit (140), both the first artificial intelligence model and the second artificial intelligence model can be retrained through the correction data.

[0101] As an example, when a first time zone is identified, the administrator terminal can calculate an average output value, which is an average of all first output values and all second output values received in the second time zone, and identify a maximum value and a minimum value among all first output values and all second output values received in the second time zone.

[0102] At this time, if the second time zone does not include the sunset time zone or the sunrise time zone, the administrator terminal calculates the difference between the maximum and minimum values, and if the difference exceeds the threshold value, it determines that there is a third variable and does not perform retraining of the artificial intelligence model, thereby preventing a decrease in the reliability of the artificial intelligence model due to incorrect training data.

[0103]

[0104] Meanwhile, in performing control steps according to various embodiments of the present invention, the administrator terminal can identify solar power prediction data for predicted sunlight amount in a critical time range based on weather data (e.g., weather data received from a connected weather server, etc.).

[0105] Accordingly, the administrator terminal can select a reference power for each time zone based on the solar power prediction data, the output of the first artificial intelligence model that has been accumulated and stored, and the output of the second artificial intelligence model that has been accumulated and stored.

[0106] Thereafter, the manager terminal can automatically apply the target power expected to generate fewer blank points according to the predicted amount of sunlight by comparing the reference power, the first target power, and the second target power by time zone and transmitting control data for a larger value to the electronic device (100).

[0107]

[0108] In an embodiment, the electronic device (100) is connected to at least one second electronic device (100) and includes a shared line for selectively sharing power, and the communication module communicates with the second electronic device to transmit and receive shared data including an output value of the first harvesting circuit (130) (a first output value), an output value of the second harvesting circuit (140) (a second output value), and a preset identification code of the electronic device (100) to and from the second electronic device, and store the shared data.

[0109] Specifically, the control circuit (110) can identify, among the second electronic devices, a third electronic device whose power has been inputted below the target power for a threshold period of time, based on the identification code included in the shared data and the output values matching the identification code, and can identify, among the third electronic devices, a fourth electronic device whose total amount of power boosted during the threshold period of time is below the target power.

[0110] Accordingly, when the fourth electronic device is identified, if the power supplied to the first harvesting circuit (130) exceeds the target power or the storage amount of the charging circuit (160) is greater than or equal to a critical percentage of the maximum storage amount, the control circuit (110) can output power for the amount of power exceeding the target power or the amount of storage exceeding the critical percentage of the maximum storage amount to the fourth electronic device through the shared line.

[0111] At this time, the electronic device (100) includes a storage module (memory), and the control circuit (110) does not store data including an output value higher than the target power among the shared data, and only stores data including an output value lower than the target power. However, when data including an output value higher than the target power is received for each identification code, all data matching the corresponding identification code is deleted, thereby efficiently managing the capacity of the storage module.

[0112] In an embodiment, when a plurality of fourth electronic devices are identified, the control circuit (110) selects a fifth electronic device among the fourth electronic devices, based on the identification code of each of the fourth electronic devices, that is connected to the shortest shared line, and supplies power to the fifth electronic device, thereby increasing the efficiency of power supply.

[0113] In an embodiment, the shared line has one end connected to a charging circuit (160) of an electronic device (100), and the other end includes a second low-power harvesting element, wherein the other end is connected to the charging circuit of the second electronic device, thereby boosting power supplied to a fourth electronic device.
