Abstract
Description
PNC-based electric vehicle charging control method and device
[0001] The present invention relates to a method and device for controlling charging of an electric vehicle, and more particularly, to a method and device for controlling charging of an electric vehicle based on PnC.
[0002] As electric vehicles become more widespread, issues related to electric vehicle charging are emerging, one of which is the issue of payment for charging.
[0003] Electric vehicles begin charging after a specific approval process. Approval methods typically include plug-and-charge, where approval and payment are automatically completed using a certificate stored within the vehicle, and external payment, where identification, approval, and payment are performed through the charger using an external identification method, such as the vehicle user's credit card or RFID.
[0004] Among these, the plug-and-charge method, which has recently gained popularity, does not require any additional steps from the user to complete the charging process. It is an automatic approval method that automatically identifies the user and approves the charging. Specifically, plug-and-charge refers to a method in which user authentication and charging are completed simply by inserting a charging plug between the electric vehicle and the charging station.
[0005] The ISO 15118 standard stipulates authentication based on a public key infrastructure (PKI) as the basis for implementing a plug-and-charge method. According to a PKI system according to the ISO 15118 standard, a contract certificate generated based on an MO root certificate (MO RootCA cert.) issued by an MO root certification authority (MO RootCA) affiliated with a charging business operator (MO: Mobility Operator) is installed in an electric vehicle. A charging station (100) is installed with a charging station certificate (SECC cert.) generated based on a V2G root certificate (V2G RootCA cert.) issued by a vehicle-to-grid (V2G) root certification authority (V2G RootCA).
[0006] During the authentication and payment approval process, the charging station accepts and verifies the contract certificate chain from the electric vehicle, verifies that the vehicle has a valid charging contract, and performs the payment process.
[0007] However, the existing Plug-and-Charge (PnC) payment method uses only a single contract certificate for payment. Therefore, even if a user wishes to split the recharge fee across multiple accounts, there is no way to do so, resulting in inconvenience.
[0008] For example, if a user has registered a specific credit card as a payment method for a contract certificate, and the payment amount of the credit card is large and exceeds the limit, PnC charging will not be performed, so charging must be performed using another payment method instead of PnC charging.
[0009] In addition, if a user wants to enjoy additional credit card benefits by using multiple credit cards for a certain amount each, the payment amount must be adjusted for each credit card. However, if the payment for electric vehicle charging, which accounts for a large portion of daily expenses, is made with only one credit card corresponding to one contract certificate, some of the amount must be charged using the PnC method, and another portion must be paid separately using a regular credit card, which is inconvenient.
[0010] In addition, in the case of the conventional PnC charging payment method, before initiating charging, only the validity of the contract certificate linked to the payment method (credit card, bank account, etc.) is verified, and once the validity of the contract certificate is verified, charging is initiated without verification of payment ability, and after charging is completed, payment for the charging fee is requested using the payment method (credit card, bank account, etc.) linked to the contract certificate.
[0011] In this case, if the credit card linked to the contract certificate exceeds its limit or the bank account balance is insufficient, the actual payment cannot be processed. Consequently, the recharge is completed, but payment of the recharge fee is impossible.
[0012] In addition, according to the ISO 15118 standard that currently regulates the PnC charging method, even if you input the amount of power to be charged and want to check whether payment for that amount of power is possible before transmitting the charging power, you can only check whether payment is possible, and you cannot check information about the amount of power or amount that can be paid.
[0013] Therefore, from the user's perspective, if they are notified that payment for a specific amount of electricity is not possible, they must re-enter information to check whether payment for a different amount of electricity is possible, and if they are notified that payment is not possible in this case as well, they must again re-enter information to check whether payment for a different amount of electricity is possible, etc., which is a cumbersome process that must be repeated.
[0014] The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control device and method, which stores multiple contract certificates internally when charging an electric vehicle according to the PnC charging method and allows the user to divide and pay the charging fee with multiple contract certificates according to his or her convenience.
[0015] In addition, another problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control device and method that can automatically charge up to an amount payable by a payment method linked to a contract certificate when charging an electric vehicle according to the PnC charging method.
[0016] According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention for solving the above-described problem, a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control method is provided, which is performed in a vehicle charging control device installed inside an electric vehicle and including a memory storing a plurality of contract certificates and commands and a processor, the PnC-based electric vehicle charging control method comprising: (a) a step in which the processor loads a contract certificate having the highest priority among a plurality of pre-stored contract certificates when a pre-set payment mode is a composite payment mode; (b) a step in which the processor receives a rate table from a charging station and calculates a charging fee for a target charging amount; (c) a step in which the processor adjusts the target charging amount to the payment limit when the payment limit of the currently loaded contract certificate is less than the charging fee; (d) a step in which the processor performs charging for the target charging amount and pays the charging fee using the currently loaded contract certificate; And (e) if there is a remaining charge amount that has not been charged from the initial target charge amount entered by the user and there is a contract certificate that has not yet been used for payment, the processor loads the next-ranking contract certificate, subtracts the existing charge amount from the initial target charge amount to update the target charge amount, and performs the process again from step (b) for the updated target charge amount.
[0017] Additionally, in the step (d), the processor may request payment approval for the charging fee from the charging station, and if payment approval fails, divide the target charging amount into multiple sub-charging amounts, and perform charging and payment for each sub-charging amount.
[0018] Additionally, in the step (d), the processor may divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts in units of charge amounts defined in advance, divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts in units of charge amounts that can be charged for a predefined period of time, or divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts in units of charge amounts that can be charged for a predefined period of time.
[0019] Additionally, in the step (d), the processor may divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts by dividing the target charge amount by a predefined ratio and repeatedly dividing the remainder of the target charge amount by the predefined ratio.
[0020] In addition, the step (d) may include: (d1) requesting payment approval from the charging station for the charging fee of the target charging amount; (d2) if payment approval fails, dividing the target charging amount into a plurality of sub-charges; (d3) calculating the charging fee for the sub-charges and requesting payment approval of the charging fee for the sub-charges from the charging station; and (d4) if payment approval for the sub-charges is successful, performing charging for the sub-charges using a contract certificate, paying the charging fee, and then performing the process again from step (d3) for the next sub-charges, and if payment approval for the sub-charges fails, terminating the charging process for the corresponding sub-charges and proceeding to step (e).
[0021] In addition, in the step (a) above, if the payment mode set in advance is a single payment mode, the processor can load a contract certificate selected by the user through the user terminal among multiple contract certificates stored in advance, or, if the user has not selected a contract certificate, load a contract certificate with the highest priority.
[0022] In addition, a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control method according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention may further include, before step (a), a step in which the processor transmits and displays contract certificate information and payment mode information including a current payment limit and payment priority for each of a plurality of contract certificates to a user terminal; a step in which the processor receives and stores modified contract certificate information or payment mode information from the user terminal when the user modifies the contract certificate information or payment mode information; and a step in which the processor receives and stores the initial target charging amount from the user terminal.
[0023] In addition, the initial target charging amount is input in any one of the form of a charging rate, a rate, an amount of power, and a charging time, and when the initial target charging amount is input as a target charging rate, the processor calculates the amount of power required to perform charging up to the target charging rate and sets it as the initial target charging amount, and when the initial target charging amount is input as a charging rate, the processor calculates the amount of power corresponding to the rate according to the rate table and sets it as the initial target charging amount, and when the initial target charging amount is input as a charging time, the processor calculates the amount of power to be charged when charging is performed during the corresponding charging time and sets it as the initial target charging amount, and in the step (b), the processor can calculate a charging rate for charging the amount of power of the calculated amount of power or charging amount information according to the rate table.
[0024] Meanwhile, a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control device according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention for achieving the above-described technical task is a vehicle charging control device that is installed inside an electric vehicle and includes a memory storing a plurality of contract certificates and commands, and a processor, wherein the processor, which executes the commands stored in the memory, performs the steps of: (a) loading a contract certificate having the highest priority among a plurality of pre-stored contract certificates when a pre-set payment mode is a composite payment mode; (b) receiving a rate table from the charging station and calculating a charging fee for a target charging amount; (c) adjusting the target charging amount to the payment limit when the payment limit of the currently loaded contract certificate is less than the charging fee; (d) performing charging for the target charging amount and paying the charging fee using the currently loaded contract certificate; And (e) if there is a remaining charge amount that has not been charged from the initial target charge amount entered by the user and there is a contract certificate that has not yet been used for payment, a step of loading the next highest-ranking contract certificate, subtracting the existing charge amount from the initial target charge amount to update the target charge amount, and performing the step (b) again for the updated target charge amount;
[0025] Additionally, in the step (d), the processor may request payment approval for the charging fee from the charging station, and if payment approval fails, divide the target charging amount into multiple sub-charging amounts, and perform charging and payment for each sub-charging amount.
[0026] Additionally, in the step (a), the processor may divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts in units of a predefined quantity of charge amount, divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts in a predefined ratio, or divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts in units of a charge amount that can be charged for a predefined period of time.
[0027] Additionally, in the step (d), the processor may divide the target charge amount into a plurality of sub-charge amounts by dividing the target charge amount by a predefined ratio and repeatedly dividing the remainder of the target charge amount by the predefined ratio.
[0028] In addition, the step (d) may include: (d1) requesting payment approval from the charging station for the charging fee of the target charging amount; (d2) if payment approval fails, dividing the target charging amount into a plurality of sub-charges; (d3) calculating the charging fee for the sub-charges and requesting payment approval of the charging fee for the sub-charges from the charging station; and (d4) if payment approval for the sub-charges is successful, performing charging for the sub-charges using a contract certificate, paying the charging fee, and then performing the process again from step (d3) for the next sub-charges, and if payment approval for the sub-charges fails, terminating the charging process for the corresponding sub-charges and proceeding to step (e).
[0029] In addition, in the step (a) above, if the payment mode set in advance is a single payment mode, the processor can load a contract certificate selected by the user through the user terminal among multiple contract certificates stored in advance, or if the user has not selected a contract certificate, load a contract certificate with the highest priority.
[0030] In addition, the processor may further perform, prior to step (a), a step of transmitting and displaying contract certificate information and payment mode information including the current payment limit and payment priority for each of a plurality of contract certificates to the user terminal; a step of receiving and storing modified contract certificate information or payment mode information from the user terminal when the user modifies the contract certificate information or payment mode information; and a step of receiving and storing the initial target charging amount from the user terminal.
[0031] In addition, the initial target charging amount is input in any one of the form of a charging rate, a rate, an amount of power, and a charging time, and when the initial target charging amount is input as a target charging rate, the processor calculates the amount of power required to perform charging up to the target charging rate and sets the amount as the initial target charging amount, and when the initial target charging amount is input as a charging rate, the processor calculates the amount of power corresponding to the rate according to the rate table and sets the amount as the initial target charging amount, and when the initial target charging amount is input as a charging time, the processor calculates the amount of power to be charged when performing charging for the corresponding charging time and sets the amount as the initial target charging amount, and in the step (b), the processor can calculate a charging rate for charging the amount of power of the calculated amount of power or charging amount information according to the rate table.
[0032] To address the aforementioned challenges, a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control method and device, stores multiple PnC contract certificates within the charging control device and allows the user to set payment priorities and payment limits for each contract certificate. Thereafter, during the electric vehicle charging process, payments are processed in the order of the contract certificates with the lowest priority, up to the payment limit, thereby providing users with flexible payment methods and convenient charging.
[0033] In addition, in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention for solving the above-described problem, a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control device and method are provided, in case the validity of a contract certificate is authenticated but payment approval fails in the payment approval process performed before actual charging and payment, by dividing the initial target charging amount into a plurality of sub-charging amounts and sequentially performing charging and payment for each sub-charging amount, so that even in a state where a user cannot check the charging power amount and charging fee that can be paid, charging is possible up to the payable amount automatically.

[0038] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0039] Here, the above-described objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent through the following detailed description related to the attached drawings. [0041] When a part of the specification is said to "include" a component, this does not exclude other components, but rather implies the inclusion of other components, unless otherwise specifically stated. Furthermore, terms such as "part," "module," etc., used throughout the specification refer to a unit that processes at least one function or operation, which may be implemented in hardware, software, or a combination of hardware and software.
[0042] If a detailed description of a known function or configuration related to the present invention is deemed to unnecessarily obscure the gist of the present invention, such detailed description will be omitted. Furthermore, numbers (e.g., "first," "second," etc.) used throughout the description of this specification are merely identifiers used to distinguish one component from another.
[0043] The electric vehicle charging control device and method according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, which will be described below, exemplarily follows the Plug-and-Charge (PnC) protocol specified in the ISO 15118-2 standard.
[0044] Except for the characteristic configurations of the present invention explicitly described below, the overall charging procedure and charging payment procedure are identical to those applied to the above-mentioned ISO 15118-2 standard.
[0045] First, referring to FIG. 1a and FIG. 1b, which describe the charging and payment process according to the ISO 15118-2 standard, the charging and payment process according to the ISO 15118-2 standard is described. The SupportedAppProtocol step (S10) is performed to exchange messages for setting up an application layer protocol between a charging station (abbreviated as SECC (Supply Equipment Communication Controller)) and a charging control device (abbreviated as EVCC (Electric Vehicle Communication Controller)), and the EVCC and the SECC, and the SessionSetup step (S20) is performed to transmit a message requesting the opening of a V2G communication session, and the SECC responds through the message whether a new communication session or a previous communication session has been successfully joined, thereby establishing a communication channel between the charger (SECC) and the charging control device (EVCC).
[0046] After that, the ServiceDiscovery step (S30) is performed in which the EVCC requests the SECC to search for all services provided by the SECC, and the SECC responds with services that can be provided, such as AC charging, DC charging, EIM mode, and plug-and-charge mode, and the ServiceDetail step (S40) is performed in which the EVCC requests the SECC for specific additional information, and the SECC provides the corresponding detailed parameter information.
[0047] The EVCC requests a payment method (EIM / Plug-and-Charge) for the service provided by the SECC, and the SECC responds whether to accept the selected service and payment method. The CerificateInstallation step (S50) in which the EVCC requests the SECC to install a certificate if there is no installed contract certificate and installs the requested contract certificate. The CerificateUpdate step (S70) in which the EVCC requests the renewal of a contract certificate if there is a contract certificate that is about to expire. The PaymentDetail step (S80) in which the EVCC requests a challenge by sending the contract certificate chain and EMAID to the SECC if the payment method is plug-and-charge, and the SECC verifies the EMAID and the contract certificate chain and, if they are trustworthy, responds with a challenge in the form of a 128-bit random number. The EVCC signs the request message body containing the challenge with the private key of the contract certificate, and the SECC verifies this signature and verifies that it matches the previously sent challenge and responds whether to approve the charge. The Authorization step (S100) is performed sequentially.
[0048] Next, the EVCC and SECC exchange their respective technical charging limits by communicating the maximum and minimum allowable voltage levels and currents, the EVCC notifies the SECC of the charging power and desired departure time, and the SECC proposes a charging schedule to the EVCC in the ChargeParameterDiscovery step (S110). The charging schedule includes the maximum charging power that can be delivered while the EV is connected to the charging station and an optional SalesTariff.
[0049] Next, a CableCheck step (S120) is performed to perform a cable check for safe charging, a PreCharge step (S130) is performed to adjust the output voltage of the charging station to the battery voltage of the electric vehicle, and a PowerDelivery step (S140) is performed in which the EVCC requests power supply to the SECC by transmitting PowerDeliveryReq and transmits a charging profile to be followed by the EVCC during the charging process, and the SECC, upon receiving the PowerDeliveryReq message, transmits a PowerDeliveryRes message containing information on whether power is available to the EVCC.
[0050] After that, the electric vehicle requests a specific current from the charging station by transmitting CurrentDemandReq, and the SECC transmits CurrentDemandRes to the EVCC, which informs the electric vehicle of the status of the charging station and the current output voltage and current, thereby performing a charging loop (S150).
[0051]
[0052] Finally, the SessionStop step (S170) is performed, terminating the charging process according to the PnC protocol.
[0053] The charging control method according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention described below is performed based on the above-described ISO 15118-2 standard, and contents not specifically described are the same as those specified in the ISO 15118-2 standard illustrated in FIGS. 1a and 1b.
[0054] FIG. 2 is a drawing showing the overall connection configuration of a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control device according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a detailed configuration of a charging control device according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
[0055] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control device (310) according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is installed inside an electric vehicle (300), connected to a charging station (100) through a charger connector (200), controls the supply of charging power from the charging station (100) to the electric vehicle (300), and performs payment for the charging power.
[0056] In addition, the charging control device (310) is connected to the AVN controller (400a) installed in the vehicle, displays contract certificate information and payment mode information to the user, receives modification information for the contract certificate information and payment mode information from the user, updates the modified information, and receives the target charging amount input by the user.
[0057] In addition, the charging control device (310) is connected to the user's mobile communication terminal (400b) through a short-range communication network or mobile communication network such as Bluetooth, transmits contract certificate information and payment mode information to the mobile communication terminal (400b) and displays them to the user, receives modification information on the contract certificate information and payment mode information from the mobile communication terminal (400b), updates the contract certificate information and payment mode information, and receives the target charging amount input by the user.
[0058] Hereinafter, for convenience of explanation, the configuration for displaying information to the user and receiving information from the user is collectively referred to as a user terminal (400a, 400b) regardless of the installation location or implementation method, and the above-mentioned AVN controller (400a) and mobile communication terminal (400b) are also included in the user terminal (400a, 400b).
[0059] The charging station (100) is connected to a charging circuit (not shown) and a charging control device (310) of an electric vehicle (300) through a connector (200), supplies charging power to a battery (340) through the charging circuit to charge the high-voltage battery (340), and not only mutually transmits and receives charging-related information with the charging control device (310), but also mutually transmits and receives charging fee payment information for performing charging fee payment in a Plug-and-Charge manner.
[0060] A user who is an electric vehicle operator performing charging enters into a PnC-related service use agreement with a Charge Point Operator (CPO), a Mobility Operator (MO), or an eMobility Service Provider (eMSP), installs a contract certificate in the electric vehicle upon first charging, and then selects a PnC service at a charging station (100) associated with the CPO, MO, or eMSP (500) to pay the charging fee.
[0061] Referring further to FIG. 3, the electric vehicle includes a charging control device (310), an OBC (320), a BMS (330), and a high-voltage battery (340) inside, and may further include an AVN controller (400a) inside.
[0062] The OBC (OnBoard Charger) (320) converts AC power input from the charging station (100) through the connector (200) into DC power to charge the battery (340), and the BMS (Battery Management System) (330) controls the overall charging process within the electric vehicle.
[0063] The AVN controller (400a) performs functions of outputting various information to the user and receiving information input from the user. In relation to the present invention, the AVN controller (400a) displays contract certificate information and payment mode information to the user, receives modification information for the contract certificate information and payment mode information from the user, and outputs the information to the charging control device (310). In addition, the AVN controller (400a) receives a target charging amount from the user and outputs the information to the charging control device (310).
[0064] A charging control device (310) installed in a vehicle includes a processor (311) and a memory (313). The memory (313) according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention can store instructions executable by the processor (311) and programs executed by the processor (311), and can also store input / output data. Examples of the memory (313) may include a solid state drive (SSD), a flash memory (313), a read-only memory (ROM), a random access memory (RAM), etc.
[0065] A processor (311) according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention may be implemented as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) or a similar device (e.g., MPU (Micro Processing Unit), MCU (Micro Controll Unit), etc.), and executes commands stored in a memory (313) to perform each step of the charging control method described below with reference to FIGS. 4a to 4c, and performs the function of an EVCC (Electric Vehicle Communication Controller) in performing PnC payment to communicate with a SECC (Supply Equipment Communication Controller) installed in a charging station (100).
[0066] In addition, the processor (311) is linked with the OBC (OnBoard Charger) (320) and the BMS (Battery Management System) (330) so that DC power received from the charging station (100) through the connector (200) is output to the battery (340) to charge the battery (340), or AC power is output to the OBC (320) to be converted into DC power and then charge the battery (340).
[0067] The specific functions of the charging control device (310) of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to FIGS. 4a to 4c.
[0068] FIGS. 4A to 4C are drawings illustrating the overall flow of an electric vehicle charging control method according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
[0069] Referring further to FIGS. 4a to 4c, a PnC-based electric vehicle charging control method performed in the electric vehicle charging control device (310) illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3 will be described. If a user has previously entered into a PnC-related service use agreement with a charge point operator (CPO), a mobility operator (MO), or an eMobility service provider (eMSP) and has stored multiple contract certificates in the charging control device (310), and then, before charging an electric vehicle using the PnC method, the user operates a user terminal (400a, 400b) to select a contract certificate and / or payment mode modification mode, and the processor (311) of the charging control device (310) transmits and outputs contract certificate information and payment mode information stored in the memory (313) to the user terminal (400a, 400b) (S401).
[0070] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the memory (313) may store a plurality of contract certificates and corresponding contract certificate information, and the contract certificate information may include a payment limit and a payment priority. For example, contract certificates A and B may be stored in the memory (313), and the contract certificate information for contract certificate A may be set to a payment limit of 50,000 won and a priority of 1, and the contract certificate information for contract certificate B may be set to a payment limit of 100,000 won and a priority of 2. In addition, each contract certificate may be stored in conjunction with payment information, such as payment account information or payment credit card information.
[0071] Meanwhile, payment mode information stores whether the payment mode is single or complex. If the payment mode is complex, payments are processed sequentially according to the contract certificate priority, up to the payment limit set by the user. If the payment mode is single, payments are processed for the entire recharge amount using the contract certificate selected by the user or the contract certificate with the highest priority, or up to the payment limit set by the user in advance.
[0072] Thereafter, when the user modifies the contract certificate information or payment mode information, the processor (311) receives the modified contract certificate information or payment mode information from the user terminal (400a, 400b) and stores it in the memory (313), thereby updating the contract certificate information or payment mode information (S403), and receives the target charging amount (referred to as “initial target charging amount”) from the user terminal (400a, 400b) and stores it in the memory (313) (S404).
[0073] For example, in the above example, the user modifies the payment mode information to a single payment mode through the user terminal (400a, 400b), sets the contract certificate to be paid to the second-ranked contract certificate B, and then sets the contract certificate information of contract certificate B to a payment limit of 100,000 won. Then, contract certificate B is loaded in step S415 described below, and the payment limit of 100,000 won is applied in step S431.
[0074] However, if the user does not update the contract certificate information and / or payment mode information, the above-described step S403 may be omitted. Furthermore, the target charging amount input from the user terminal (400a, 400b) may be input in any of the following formats: charging rate, charging fee, charging power, and charging time, depending on the user's convenience.
[0075] Additionally, if the user does not input a target charge amount, the above-described step S404 may be omitted, and in this case, the target charge amount may be set to a target charge amount previously set by the user or a default target charge amount preset in the vehicle.
[0076] Meanwhile, when the processor (311) detects that the charger connector (200) of the charging station (100) is connected, it enters the charging process (S405), checks the payment mode information stored in the memory (313) (S407), and when the payment mode is a composite payment mode, it searches the contract certificate information of each of the multiple contract certificates and loads the contract certificate with the highest priority from the memory (313) according to the payment priority (S411).
[0077] If, in step S407, in the case of single payment mode, it is checked whether the user has selected a contract certificate to be used this time among multiple contract certificates for payment in step S403, and if the user has not selected a contract certificate, the process proceeds to step S411 to load the contract certificate with the highest priority (S413), and if the user has selected a contract certificate, the selected contract certificate is loaded (S415).
[0078] After the contract certificate is loaded, the processor (311) provides the loaded contract certificate to the charging station (100) to perform validation, and if validation fails, the next priority contract certificate is loaded or another contract certificate is selected by the user to perform validation, and if authentication fails for all contract certificates, the charging process is terminated (S421).
[0079] If the validity of the loaded contract certificate is acknowledged, the processor (311) initiates a full-scale charging sequence, receives a rate table from the charging station (100), and calculates a charging rate according to the target charging amount (S423).
[0080] As described above, the target charging amount input from the user terminal in step 403 can be input in any one of the formats of a charging rate, a charging rate, a charging power amount, and a charging time, depending on the user's convenience. When the target charging amount input by the user is a charging rate (e.g., when the current charging rate is 10% and the target charging rate is 40%), the processor (311) calculates the amount of power required to perform charging up to the target charging rate by considering the difference between the current battery charging capacity and the capacity to be charged from the present (40%-10%=30%), and calculates the charging rate for charging the calculated power amount according to the above rate table.
[0081] In addition, the processor (311), when the target charging amount input by the user is a charging rate, calculates the amount of power corresponding to the rate according to the rate table, and when the target charging amount input by the user is a charging time, calculates the amount of power to be charged when charging is performed during the charging time, and calculates the charging rate for charging the calculated amount of power according to the rate table.
[0082] Thereafter, the processor (311) compares the calculated charging fee with the payment limit of the currently loaded contract certificate (S431), and if the payment limit of the loaded contract certificate is greater than or equal to the calculated charging fee, the process proceeds directly to step S435, and if the payment limit of the loaded contract certificate is less than the calculated charging fee, the processor (311) adjusts the target charging amount for the loaded contract certificate to the payment limit (S433). At this time, the charging fee is adjusted to the payment limit of the currently loaded contract certificate.
[0083] After that, the processor (311) requests payment approval for the charging fee from the charging station (100) (S435).
[0084] If payment approval from the charging station (100) is successful (S437), the processor (311) performs a general PnC-based charging process starting from step S120 shown in FIG. 1b (S441).
[0085] When the general charging process is completed, a charging fee is paid for the amount of power actually charged, and the process proceeds to step S471 (S443).
[0086] Meanwhile, in step S437, if payment approval for the target charging amount from the charging station (100) fails, the processor (311) divides the target charging amount into multiple sub-charging amounts (S451), calculates an expected charging fee for the first sub-charging amount, and requests payment approval from the charging station (100) (S453).
[0087] Referring to the example above, if the payment limit for Contract Certificate A is set to 50,000 won, but the credit card linked to Contract Certificate A only has a remaining payment limit of 40,000 won, payment approval for the 50,000 won recharge may be denied. In this case, the target recharge amount corresponding to the payment amount of 50,000 won is divided into multiple sub-recharge amounts.
[0088] In step S451, the target charge amount can be divided into multiple sub-charge amounts in various ways. For example, the target charge amount can be divided into charge amount units of a fixed amount (e.g., 1 KWh, 5 KWh, 10 KWh, etc.). The target charge amount can be divided into charge amount units of a predefined percentage (%) (e.g., 10%, 20%, etc. of the target charge amount). The target charge amount can be divided into charge amount units that can be charged during a predefined time (e.g., 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc.). In step S451, the method by which the division is performed can be preset by the user terminal (400a, 400b) or can be preset as a default.
[0089] In step S453, if payment approval for the sub-charge amount is successful (S455), the processor (311) performs a general PnC-based charging process for the sub-charge amount for which payment has been approved, starting from step S150 shown in FIG. 1b (S457), and pays the charging fee for the sub-charge amount (S459).
[0090] After that, it is checked whether the target charging amount for the contract certificate has been fully charged (i.e., whether there is a remaining sub-charge amount) (S460), and if the target charging amount has been fully charged, it proceeds to step S471.
[0091] If, as a result of checking at step S460, there is a sub-charge amount that has not yet been completed, the process proceeds to step S453 to perform charging for the next sub-charge amount. For example, if the target charge amount is 10KWh and multiple sub-charge amounts are each 2KWh, after charging is completed for the first sub-charge amount of 2KWh, steps S453 to S459 described above are performed for the next sub-charge amount of 2KWh, and charging is performed, and steps S453 to S459 described above are sequentially performed for the next sub-charge amount of 2KWh.
[0092] Meanwhile, in the above-described step S455, if payment approval for the sub-charge amount is not successful, the charging process for the currently loaded contract certificate is terminated and the process proceeds to step S471.
[0093] For example, let's assume that the target charging amount within the payment limit for contract certificate A is 12 KWh, and the charging amount corresponding to the unknown charging amount payable with contract certificate A is 9 KWh. Then, if the target charging amount of 12 KWh is divided into multiple sub-charging amounts of 2 KWh units, charging is automatically completed up to the fourth sub-charging amount, and payment approval for the fifth sub-charging amount fails in the payment approval step (S455), so the process proceeds to step S471.
[0094] In the step S457 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention described so far, charging is performed in sub-charging units of a preset quantity or rate, and in another preferred embodiment of the present invention, charging can be performed by dividing the target charging amount and the remaining target charging amount at a fixed ratio.
[0095] For example, in another embodiment of the present invention, steps S453 to S460 described above may be sequentially performed by dividing 50% of the target charge amount in step S451, dividing the remaining target charge amount by 50% again, and dividing the remaining target charge amount by 50% again, thereby continuing to divide the remaining target charge amount at the same ratio.
[0096] In this case, step S453 requests the charging station (100) to approve payment of a charging fee for a sub-charge amount corresponding to 50% of the target charging amount, and if payment approval is successful, charging is performed for 50% of the target charging amount and then payment is made.
[0097] After that, a request is made to the charging station (100) for payment approval for the sub-charge amount (25% of the target charge amount before division) corresponding to 50% of the remaining target charge amount (50% of the target charge amount before division), and if payment approval is successful, charging is performed for 50% of the remaining target charge amount (25% of the target charge amount before division) and then payment is made. Then, the above-described process is repeated for the remaining remaining target charge amount (25% of the target charge amount before division).
[0098] Meanwhile, when the charging payment for the contract certificate is completed by performing the above-described steps S435 to S460, the processor (311) checks whether there is a remaining target charging amount that has not yet been charged (obtained by subtracting the already completed charging amount from the initial target charging amount) and whether there are remaining contract certificates that have not yet been paid (S471), and if there is a remaining target charging amount and remaining contract certificates, it proceeds to the recharge mode and loads the next-ranking contract certificate (S473), updates the target charging amount by subtracting the charging amount paid with the contract certificate of the previous rank from the initial target charging amount received from the user terminal (400a, 400b), and proceeds to the above-described step S421 to perform the validity authentication procedure again for the loaded contract certificate (S475).
[0099] In the above example, if the target charging amount received from the user terminal (400a, 400b) is a charging fee of 120,000 won, and steps S433 to S460 are performed to charge 50,000 won, which is the payment limit of contract certificate A, and the charging fee is paid, the target charging amount is updated to a charging amount corresponding to the difference of 70,000 won.
[0100] In addition, in the above example, if the target charging amount received from the user terminal (400a, 400b) is a charging fee of 120,000 won, and steps S451 to S460 described above are performed and the charging fee of 40,000 won, which is the payable amount of contract certificate A, is paid, the target charging amount is updated to a charging amount corresponding to the difference of 80,000 won.
[0101] The processor (311) initiates a charging process for the next priority contract certificate (contract certificate B in the above example) according to the updated target charging amount, receives a rate table from the charging station (100), and calculates a charging rate according to the remaining charging amount (S423).
[0102] After that, the processor (311) compares the charging fee calculated according to the updated target charging amount with the payment limit of the currently loaded contract certificate (second-order contract certificate B) (S431), and if the payment limit of the currently loaded contract certificate is smaller than the calculated charging fee, the processor updates the target charging amount to the limit of the loaded contract certificate (S433), and performs steps S435 to S460 described above.
[0103] After that, in step S471, if the processor (311) determines that the charging for the initial target charging amount is completed and there is no remaining target charging amount, or if payment has already been made for all contract certificates even though there is still a charging amount to be charged and there are no more remaining contract certificates (S471), the processor (311) unlocks the charger connector (200) to completely end the charging process (S480).
