Description

A spring assembly and a pressing pump comprising the spring assembly Technical Field

[0001] The present application relates to the field of product dispensing devices, in particular to a press pump for pumping a product out of a product container, and particularly to a design of a structure of a return spring in the press pump. Background Art

[0002] In the fields of daily chemicals, medicine, and food, pumps are widely used as product dispensing devices to dispense products from containers for consumer use. Pumps are typically equipped with a return spring that resets the pump after it is depressed to dispense the product, ready for the next use.

[0003] The spring used in conventional pumps is a metal spring, such as a stainless steel spring. However, since the rest of the pump is made of plastic, when the product in the container is used up and the pump needs to be recycled, the metal spring needs to be separated from the rest of the pump, resulting in low recycling efficiency.

[0004] In order to improve the recycling rate of compression pumps, the industry has begun to try to replace metal springs with plastic springs. However, for existing compression pumps with plastic springs, the following problems have been found during use. First, the elastic force of the plastic spring is not as good as that of the metal spring, which easily causes the compression pump to fail to reset to the top, and the user needs to apply greater force during the pressing process, while the amount of product pumped out each time is relatively small. Secondly, the deformation space required by the plastic spring is large, so the volume of the compression pump using the plastic spring is usually larger, but the efficiency of converting the deformation into rebound force is relatively low. Moreover, the plastic spring is prone to yield deformation after being subjected to pressing pressure for a long time, which further weakens the rebound force of the plastic spring and even causes the plastic spring to fail. Therefore, the number of presses that the plastic spring can withstand is also less than that of the metal spring.

[0005] Therefore, there is a need in the art for further improvement of the press pump, especially the spring structure in the press pump, which can allow the spring to be made of plastic while overcoming technical problems existing in existing plastic springs, such as large volume, low rebound force conversion efficiency, and low pressure resistance.

[0006] Summary of the Invention

[0007] This application is made to solve the above-mentioned problems existing in the prior art. The purpose of this application is to provide a spring assembly with an improved structure, which can be made of plastic and can overcome the above-mentioned technical problems existing in the plastic springs of the prior art.

[0008] The present application provides a spring assembly for a compression pump, comprising at least two elastic layers, wherein the at least two elastic layers include a first elastic layer and a second elastic layer, wherein the first elastic layer includes at least one first elastic strip in the shape of an arc, and the second elastic layer includes at least one second elastic strip in the shape of an arc, wherein the first elastic strip has a first upper end and a first lower end, and the second elastic strip has a second upper end and a second lower end. The first elastic strip and the second elastic strip are arranged such that, when the spring assembly is compressed, the direction of the resultant elastic force of the first elastic strip and the direction of the resultant elastic force of the second elastic strip are aligned.

[0009] With this structured spring assembly, and in particular the arrangement of the first and second elastic strips as described above, the elastic forces of the corresponding elastic strips in the first and second elastic layers can be effectively superimposed, improving the efficiency of converting deformation of the elastic strips into elastic force, thereby increasing the overall elastic force of the spring assembly. This allows the spring assembly to generate sufficient elastic force even when made of plastic.

[0010] In a preferred structure, the first lower end of the first elastic strip is aligned with or directly connected to the second upper end of the corresponding second elastic strip, thereby aligning the combined elastic forces of the elastic strips in the first and second elastic layers in a straight line, thereby facilitating effective superposition of the elastic forces.

[0011] Further preferably, the first upper end and the first lower end of the first elastic strip and the corresponding second upper end and the second lower end of the second elastic strip are arranged on a straight line.

[0012] More preferably, the straight line is parallel to the axis of the spring assembly. In this way, the elastic forces of the first elastic strip of the first elastic layer and the second elastic strip of the second elastic layer can be effectively superimposed, reducing or substantially eliminating the components of force that would cancel each other out.

[0013] Preferably, the spring assembly includes an upper fixing portion located at the top and a lower fixing portion located at the bottom.

[0014] Furthermore, the spring assembly may further include at least one intermediate fixing portion, which is disposed between two adjacent elastic layers of the at least two elastic layers.

[0015] In addition to the corresponding first elastic strip and second elastic strip being arranged opposite to each other, the first elastic strip and the second elastic strip can also be arranged so that the first lower end of the first elastic strip and the second upper end of the corresponding second elastic strip abut against the middle fixed part and are arranged in a staggered manner.

[0016] The upper fixing portion, the lower fixing portion, and the middle fixing portion are formed with piston rod holes for the piston rod of the pump to pass through, and at least one of the first elastic strip and the second elastic strip is close to the piston rod hole, thereby providing a larger deformation space for the elastic strip.

[0017] Alternatively, piston rod holes are formed in the upper, lower, and middle fixing portions for the piston rod of the compression pump to pass through. The projection of at least one of the first and second elastic strips on a plane perpendicular to the axis of the spring assembly is curved and positioned adjacent to and surrounding the piston rod hole. This structure also helps provide ample room for deformation of the elastic strips.

[0018] As for the shapes of the upper fixing portion, the lower fixing portion and the middle fixing portion, they may be one or a combination of the following shapes: circular, elliptical and polygonal.

[0019] Preferably, a hinge connection portion is provided on at least one of the first upper end, the first lower end, the second upper end and the second lower end.

[0020] Preferably, at least one of the at least two elastic layers comprises a limiting mechanism for limiting the maximum deformation of the spring assembly, thereby reducing the risk of yielding due to excessive deformation in the spring assembly.

[0021] A specific embodiment of the limiting mechanism includes at least one limiting support rod, one end of which is fixedly connected to the middle fixing portion between two adjacent elastic layers, and the other end of which is a free end.

[0022] Another spring assembly for a compression pump disclosed herein includes at least two elastic layers, wherein the at least two elastic layers include a first elastic layer and a second elastic layer. The first elastic layer includes at least one first elastic strip, and the second elastic layer includes at least one second elastic strip. At least one of the at least two elastic layers includes a limiting mechanism that defines the minimum height of the corresponding elastic layer when compressed and deformed.

[0023] The limiting mechanism limits the minimum height of the elastic layer when compressed, that is, limits the maximum deformation of the corresponding elastic layer, thereby reducing the risk of the spring assembly yielding and deforming due to compression.

[0024] The limiting mechanism may include at least one limiting support rod, one end of which is a fixed end, which is fixedly connected to the corresponding elastic layer, for example, connected to the middle fixed part between the two elastic layers, or it can also be connected to the elastic strip, and the other end is a free end.

[0025] Also disclosed is a press pump comprising a movable part and a fixed part, wherein the press pump comprises the spring assembly as described above, wherein the top of the spring assembly is supported on the movable part, and the bottom of the spring assembly is supported on the fixed part.

[0026] Specifically, the fixed part includes a pressure head and a piston rod connected to the lower part of the pressure head. The fixed part includes a brace and a cylinder fixedly connected together, and the piston rod extends into the cylinder.

[0027] Preferably, piston rod holes are formed in the upper, lower, and intermediate fixing portions of the spring assembly, slots are formed in the piston rod holes, and ridges are formed on the outer surface of the piston rod, the shapes of the ridges matching the slots. The fit between the slots and ridges secures the relative position of the spring assembly and the piston rod, preventing relative rotation between the two.

[0028] Further, the spring assembly can be arranged on the inside of the pump body of the compression pump, for example, be contained in the cylinder.Certainly, the spring assembly also can be arranged on the outside of the pump body, for example, be arranged around the cylinder outside. [0045] The specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that the drawings illustrate only preferred embodiments of the present invention and do not limit the scope of the present invention. Those skilled in the art may make various obvious modifications, variations, and equivalent substitutions to the present invention based on the embodiments shown in the drawings. Furthermore, the technical features of the different embodiments described below may be arbitrarily combined with each other, provided that no contradiction exists. All of these combinations fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.

[0046] In the following detailed description, terms such as "upper" and "lower" are used to indicate directions, referring to the orientation of the pump and its spring assembly as shown in the figures, for ease of description. This orientation is generally the orientation of the pump during normal operation. However, the orientation of the pump may change in other situations, such as during product transportation or storage.

[0047] <First embodiment>

[0048] Figures 1 to 2b illustrate a first embodiment of the present application. Figure 1 shows a cross-sectional view of a compression pump 10 of the present application, which includes a pressure head 11, a toothed sleeve 12, a cylinder 13, and a piston rod 15. The piston rod 15 is connected to the lower portion of the pressure head 11 and extends downward into the cylinder 13. The toothed sleeve 12 and the cylinder 13 are fixedly connected together, and the pressure head 11 is configured to move vertically relative to the toothed sleeve 12 and the cylinder 13.

[0049] A piston 17 is provided on the piston rod 15. The piston 17 is sealingly fitted on the inner wall of the cylinder 13 and is movable in the up-down direction relative to the inner wall of the cylinder 13. Here, the piston rod 15 may be integrally formed with the lower portion of the ram 11, or may be formed separately and then connected to the lower portion of the ram 11, all of which are within the scope of the present application.

[0050] Optionally, the compression pump 10 may further include a spring support 14, which is fixedly mounted on the inner wall of the cylinder 13. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the spring support 14 may be a structure integrally formed on the cylinder 13, or may be formed separately and mounted in the cylinder 13.

[0051] When the ram 11 is pressed downward, the ram 11 and the piston rod 15 connected to the lower portion of the ram 11 move relative to the socket 12 and cylinder 13, driving the piston 17 on the cylinder 13 to move downward while maintaining a sealed fit with the inner wall of the cylinder 13, causing the volume in the cylinder 13 to decrease and the pressure of the product in the cylinder 13 to increase. Under the action of this increased pressure, the product is pumped out. It can be seen that in the pressing pump 10 shown in the figure, the ram 11 and piston rod 15 are the moving parts, and the socket 12 and cylinder 13 are the fixed parts.

[0052] As shown in FIG1 , the compression pump 10 further includes an elastic return mechanism, specifically a spring assembly 20 shown in the figure. The upper end of the spring assembly 20 is supported on the compression head 11, and the lower end is supported on the spring support portion 14. When the compression head 11 moves downward relative to the fixed portion of the compression pump 10, including the mouthpiece 12 and the cylinder 13, the spring assembly 20 is compressed, accumulating a rebound force therein. After the compressive force applied to the compression head 11 is removed, this rebound force causes the compression head 11 to return to its upper, standby state.

[0053] 2a to 2c show various views of the spring assembly 20 in the pressing pump 10 of FIG. 1 , wherein FIG. 2a is a perspective view, FIG. 2b is a front view, and FIG. 2c is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA in FIG. 2b .

[0054] The spring assembly 20 of the present application can be made of plastic and has a multi-layer structure, comprising at least two layers. In the structure shown in the figure, the spring assembly 20 includes a first elastic layer located at its upper portion, which includes at least one first elastic strip 31. The spring assembly 20 also includes a second elastic layer located at its lower portion, which includes at least one second elastic strip 32. As shown in Figure 2b, the first elastic strip 31 in the first elastic layer and the second elastic strip 32 in the second elastic layer are specifically arched elastic strips. Specifically, the first elastic strip 31 has a first upper end 33 and a first lower end 34, while the second elastic strip 32 has a second upper end 35 and a second lower end 36. In the present application, the first elastic strip 31 in the first elastic layer and the second elastic strip 32 in the second elastic layer are arranged so that when the spring assembly 20 is compressed, the resultant elastic force generated by the first elastic strip 31 and the resultant elastic force generated by the second elastic strip 32 are aligned on the same straight line. In the exemplary structure shown in the figure, an intermediate fixing portion 23 is provided between the first and second elastic layers, and the first lower end 34 of the first elastic strip 31 and the second upper end 35 of the second elastic strip 32 are connected to the intermediate fixing portion 23. Furthermore, the connection positions on the intermediate fixing portion 23 between the first lower end 34 of the first elastic strip 31 in the first elastic layer and the second upper end 35 of the corresponding second elastic strip 32 in the second elastic layer are aligned along the axis of the spring assembly 20. Alternatively, if the intermediate fixing portion 23 is not provided between the first and second elastic layers, the first lower end 34 of the first elastic strip 31 and the second upper end 35 of the second elastic strip 32 may be directly connected to each other.

[0055] In addition, the first elastic strip 31 and the corresponding second elastic strip 32 can also be arranged so that the first lower end 34 of the first elastic strip 31 and the second upper end 35 of the second elastic strip 32 both abut against the intermediate fixing portion 23, and the first lower end 34 and the second lower end 35 are arranged offset from each other. Such a structure is also within the scope of the present application. In this case, the first elastic strips 31 in the first elastic layer can be evenly spaced, and the second elastic strips 32 in the second elastic layer can also be evenly spaced. This also ensures that the elastic force generated by the first elastic layer when compressed is aligned with the elastic force generated by the second elastic layer.

[0056] Furthermore, the shape and size of the first elastic strip 31 in the first elastic layer and the second elastic strip 32 in the second elastic layer are set so that when the spring group 20 is compressed, the resultant direction of the elastic force of the first elastic strip 31 and the resultant direction of the elastic force of the second elastic strip 32 are on a straight line.

[0057] For example, in the embodiment shown in the figures, the first lower end 34 of the first elastic strip 31 is aligned with the second upper end 35 of the second elastic strip 32, and the first upper end 33 of the first elastic strip 31 and the second lower end 36 of the second elastic strip 32 are arranged on the same straight line L as the first lower end 34 and the second upper end 35. In this way, when the spring assembly 20 is compressed, the elastic force of the first elastic strip 31 is directed along the straight line L, and the elastic force of the second elastic strip 32 is also directed along the straight line L, thereby causing the elastic forces of the first elastic strip 31 and the second elastic strip 32 to be superimposed along the same straight line.

[0058] When the first upper ends 33 and first lower ends 34 of all the first elastic strips 31 in the first elastic layer are aligned with the second upper ends 35 and second lower ends 36 of the second elastic strips 32 corresponding to the first elastic strips 31, the resultant force of the first elastic strips 31 in the first elastic layer and the resultant force of the second elastic strips 32 in the second elastic layer are aligned. As a result, the resilience forces generated by the first and second elastic layers can be superimposed on each other, substantially eliminating any force components that could potentially cancel each other out.

[0059] Preferably, the straight line L is parallel to the axis of the spring assembly 20. This allows the elastic forces of all first elastic strips 31 and all second elastic strips 32 to be superimposed, substantially eliminating mutually canceling force components within the same elastic layer and between two elastic layers. This helps maximize the resilience generated by the spring assembly 20 when compressed.

[0060] In addition to the structures of the first elastic strip 31 and the second elastic strip 32 shown in the figure, they can also take other forms to achieve the effect of the combined force of the first elastic strip 31 and the second elastic strip 32 being in a straight line. For example, in the case of including multiple first elastic strips 31 and multiple second elastic strips 32, the multiple first elastic strips 31 in the first elastic layer can be arranged symmetrically around the circumference, or these first elastic strips 31 can be arranged at equal angles along the circumference, and the second elastic strips 32 can be arranged similarly. Alternatively, in the case of including one first elastic strip 31 and one second elastic strip 32, the first elastic strip 31 and the second elastic strip 32 can be mounted on the piston rod 15, and the direction of the elastic force generated by them during compression coincides with the axial direction of the spring assembly 20.

[0061] In the preferred embodiment shown in the figure, the spring assembly 20 includes an upper fixing portion 21 located at the top and a lower fixing portion 22 located at the bottom, and preferably also includes an intermediate fixing portion 23 disposed between two adjacent elastic layers.

[0062] In the two-layer structure shown in the figure, the first upper end 33 of the first elastic strip 31 is connected to the upper fixing portion 21, and the first lower end 34 thereof is connected to the intermediate fixing portion 23. The first upper end 33 of the second elastic strip 32 is connected to the intermediate fixing portion 23, and the first lower end 34 of the second elastic strip 32 is connected to the lower fixing portion 22. The upper fixing portion 21 is supported on the lower surface of the top of the pressing head 11, and the lower fixing portion 22 is supported on the spring support portion 14.

[0063] Preferably, a hinge portion 37 is provided on at least one of the first upper end 33, the first lower end 34, the second upper end 35, and the second lower end 36. When the spring assembly 20 is compressed, the hinge portion 37 is more likely to deform first, thereby guiding the subsequent deformation of the first elastic strip 31. This reduces the force required to press the spring assembly 20 downward, facilitating operation.

[0064] In other exemplary alternative structures, the upper fixing portion 21 may also be supported on other components of the moving part of the pressing pump 10, such as a step formed on the piston rod 15, and the lower fixing portion 22 may also be supported on other components of the fixed part of the pressing pump 10, such as a brace 12.

[0065] Piston rod holes 24 are formed in the upper fixing portion 21 , the lower fixing portion 22 and the middle fixing portion 23 of the spring assembly 20 . The piston rod 15 can pass through these piston rod holes 24 , so that the spring assembly 20 is disposed around the piston rod 15 .

[0066] Preferably, a ridge 16 is formed on the outer surface of the piston rod 15, extending along the axis of the piston rod 15. Accordingly, a slot 25 is formed in the piston rod hole 24, the shape of which matches that of the ridge 16. When the spring assembly 20 is installed on the piston rod 15, the ridge 16 engages with the slot 25. Thus, when the ram 11 and piston rod 15 are pressed downward, if the ram 11 and piston rod 15 rotate under the force, the spring assembly 20 rotates along with the piston rod 15. This prevents relative rotation between the spring assembly 20 and the piston rod 15 during operation, which could affect the efficiency of the conversion of the rebound force.

[0067] Figure 2c shows a cross-sectional view of the spring assembly 20 taken along line AA in Figure 2b. It can be seen that the first elastic strip 31 is located near the piston rod hole 24. Therefore, when the spring assembly 20 is mounted on the piston rod 15, the first elastic strip 31 is positioned close to the piston rod 15. This provides more room for deformation of the first elastic strip 31, and the overall volume of the compression pump 10 can be reduced accordingly.

[0068] Furthermore, the second elastic strip 32 in the second elastic layer may also be arranged close to the piston rod 15 , so that the second elastic strip 32 may also have a larger deformation space.

[0069] <Second embodiment>

[0070] Figures 3a to 3c illustrate the structure of a spring assembly 20 according to a second embodiment of the present application. Unless otherwise specified or conflicting, the specific structures described above with respect to the first embodiment also apply to the second embodiment. The following details the differences between the second embodiment and the first embodiment.

[0071] In the second embodiment, the projection of the first layer of elastic strips 31' on a plane perpendicular to the axis of the spring assembly 20 is curved, and this curved shape extends close to and around the piston rod hole 24'. Thus, when the spring assembly 20 is installed on the piston rod 15, the first layer of elastic strips 31' will embrace the piston rod 15. This embracing structure also helps provide a larger deformation space for the first layer of elastic strips 31'.

[0072] Similarly, the second layer of elastic strip 32 ′ may also be formed into a structure extending around the piston rod 15 .

[0073] <Third embodiment>

[0074] Figures 4a to 4c illustrate the structure of a spring assembly 20 according to a third embodiment of the present application. Unless otherwise specified or conflicting, the specific structures described above with respect to the first and second embodiments also apply to the third embodiment. The following details the differences between the third embodiment and the first and second embodiments.

[0075] The spring assembly 20 of the third embodiment includes multiple elastic layers, for example, as shown in the figure, it includes a first elastic layer located at the upper part and a second elastic layer located at the lower part, wherein the first elastic layer includes at least one arcuate first elastic strip 31, and the second elastic layer includes at least one arcuate second elastic strip 32.

[0076] Furthermore, in the third embodiment, the spring assembly 20 further includes a limiting mechanism, which can limit the maximum deformation of the spring assembly 20 .

[0077] In the preferred structure shown in the figure, at least one limiting support rod 38 is preferably provided in at least one of the first elastic layer and the second elastic layer. The limiting support rod 38 is used to limit the deformation amplitude of the first elastic strip 31 and / or the second elastic strip 32. In the exemplary structure shown in the figure, the limiting support rod 38 is provided on the intermediate fixing portion 23 between the first elastic layer and the second elastic layer. One end of the limiting support rod 38 is fixedly connected to the intermediate fixing portion 23, and the other end is a free end. During the process of pressing the spring assembly 20, as the spring assembly 20 is compressed, the free ends of the limiting support rods 38 in each of the two elastic layers will respectively abut against the upper fixing portion 21 and the lower fixing portion 22, preventing the spring assembly 20 from being further compressed. Thus, by setting the height of the limiting support rod 38, the maximum deformation of the corresponding elastic layer can be preset.

[0078] It is understandable that the above-mentioned limiting mechanism is not only applicable to spring structures such as the spring group with bow-shaped elastic strips shown in the figure, but can also be applied to other forms of spring structures, such as spring structures including spiral elastic strips, mesh elastic structures, etc.

[0079] <Fourth embodiment>

[0080] Figures 5 and 6 illustrate a fourth embodiment of the present application. Unless otherwise specified or conflicting, the specific structures described above with respect to the first to third embodiments also apply to the fourth embodiment. The following describes in detail the structures of the fourth embodiment that differ from the first to third embodiments.

[0081] As shown in FIG5 , in the fourth embodiment, the compression pump 10 includes a spring assembly 20, which is disposed outside the cylinder 13 and around the cylinder 13. A through-slot 18 is formed in the cylinder 13, and a protrusion 19 is formed in a movable portion of the compression pump 10, such as the outer surface of the inner sleeve of the pressure head 11 or the outer surface of the piston rod 15 connected to the pressure head 11. The protrusion 19 extends through the through-slot 18 in the cylinder 13 and out of the cylinder 13. The upper fixed portion 21 of the spring assembly 20 abuts against the protrusion 19. Furthermore, the lower fixed portion 22 of the spring assembly 20 is fixed to a fixed portion of the compression pump 10, such as the bottom of the cylinder 13 or the suction tube of the compression pump 10 connected to the lower end of the cylinder 13.

[0082] The preferred structure of the present application has been described above. Based on this disclosure, those skilled in the art can make various obvious modifications and variations.

[0083] In the structure shown in the figure, the upper fixing portion 21, the lower fixing portion 22 and the middle fixing portion 23 of the spring assembly 20 are circular. In addition, these fixing portions can also take other shapes, such as elliptical, polygonal, etc.

[0084] The embodiment shown in the figure is illustrated using two elastic layers as an example. The spring assembly 20 may also include a greater number of elastic layers, such as three or four. Accordingly, the upper fixing portion 21 is disposed at the top of the spring assembly 20, the lower fixing portion 22 is disposed at the bottom of the spring assembly 20, and an intermediate fixing portion 23 may be disposed between adjacent elastic layers.

[0085] In addition, any one of the upper fixing portion 21, the lower fixing portion 22 and the intermediate fixing portion 23 can be omitted. For example, when the upper fixing portion 21 is omitted, the upper end of the elastic strip of the top elastic layer can directly abut the movable part of the pressing pump 10, and when the lower fixing portion 22 is omitted, the lower end of the elastic strip of the bottom elastic layer can be directly fixedly connected to the fixed part of the pressing pump 10, and when the intermediate fixing portion 23 is omitted, the corresponding upper and lower ends of the elastic strips of adjacent layers are directly connected.

[0086] In the exemplary structure shown in the figure, the first elastic strip 31 in the first elastic layer and the second elastic strip 32 in the second elastic layer are designed to have the same shape and size. That is, their chord length, arc length, curvature, and cross-sectional shape can be the same. However, depending on the application and actual needs, the first elastic strip 31 and the second elastic strip 32 can also differ in at least one of these parameters, such as having different chord lengths, arc lengths, curvatures, cross-sectional shapes, etc. Factors to consider when designing the shape and size of the elastic strips include product viscosity, pressing feel, desired rebound speed, and the desired product output per pump.

[0087] In the above embodiments, a limiting mechanism, specifically at least one limiting support rod, is mentioned. Those skilled in the art will appreciate that this limiting mechanism can also be used in spring assemblies that include other types of elastic strips, such as S-shaped, X-shaped, linear, or hyperbolic shapes. Furthermore, the limiting support rod can be fixedly connected to the intermediate fixing portion between two adjacent elastic layers, as shown in Figures 7a to 7o. Alternatively, if no intermediate fixing portion is included, the limiting support rod can also be fixedly connected to the elastic strip, as shown in Figures 8a to 8j.

[0088] The spring assembly 20 can be integrally formed, as shown in the figure. Alternatively, the spring assembly 20 can be formed by stacking multiple springs. For example, the spring assembly shown in Figure 7b is formed by stacking two springs. Depending on the needs of the specific application, any number of springs can be stacked to form the spring assembly.
