Abstract
Description
[0001] Description
[0002] Title: Device for packaging and / or receiving and / or presenting a device for heat treating hair
[0003] The present invention relates to devices for packaging and / or receiving and / or presenting an appliance for heat treatment of hair and more particularly but not exclusively an appliance intended for shaping the hair, in particular intended for curling and / or straightening the hair.
[0004] The invention relates more particularly to devices for packaging and / or receiving and / or presenting an appliance comprising two jaws movable relative to one another, capable of assuming a spaced-apart configuration for introducing a lock of hair between them and a close-together configuration for treating the lock.
[0005] The invention also relates to an assembly of the packaging and / or receiving and / or presentation device and to the corresponding appliance.
[0006] Technical field
[0007] Numerous heat treatment appliances exist for the hair. These appliances generally comprise at least one heating plate. They are usually sold commercially in cases comprising a thermoformed support having one or more housings for holding the appliance in the case. Such supports are not suitable for receiving the appliance after use, particularly when it is still hot. This results in a risk of damage to the support, or even fire, if the user stores their hot appliance in the support, or at the very least, in a waiting time which is unsatisfactory for the user who must wait until their appliance cools down. Moreover, such supports do not guarantee that the appliance is properly held during transport and / or storage of the appliance, which can lead to movements of the appliance within its support, and therefore a risk of scratching on the various surfaces of the appliance, which is not satisfactory for the user of the appliance who sees the esthetic appearance of the appliance deteriorate. Devices in the form of a stand on which the appliance can be placed are also known, these receiving and / or presenting the appliance between two uses, but not securely holding the appliance or allowing it to be transported.
[0008] In addition, the supports are usually thermoformed to receive the appliance with contact points formed directly in the support. This makes the molding of the support complex especially where there is a desire for a cavity to receive the appliance in an open configuration. There is therefore a need for a device for packaging and / or receiving and / or presenting an appliance, that allows the appliance to be properly held during transport and during use without damaging it, and which is practical to use.
[0009] Disclosure of the invention
[0010] The invention meets this need by means of a device for packaging and / or receiving and / or presenting an appliance for the heat treatment of hair, in particular for straightening and / or curling, comprising: a body having a receiving cavity adapted to at least partially receive the appliance, at least one insert arranged in the cavity and configured to receive at least a portion of the appliance, the insert being configured to hold one or more heat treatment surfaces of the appliance away from the body when the appliance is at least partially housed within the cavity.
[0011] The presence of the insert makes it possible to keep the hot treatment surfaces of the appliance away from the body to avoid deterioration of the latter due to the heat of the appliance when the appliance is set down in the cavity while hot. This also limits the risk of scratching the external surfaces of the appliance, since the area of contact between these surfaces and the body is limited.
[0012] Moreover, having inserts in the cavity makes it possible to have a cavity of fairly simple shape which is easier to manufacture, and to adjust the immobilization of the appliance in the cavity easily through the choice or the fit of the inserts. The appliance can therefore be optimally held in the cavity.
[0013] The device may include a case for receiving the body. The case may include a removable or hinged lid.
[0014] The insert may be configured to receive at least a portion of the appliance separated along a longitudinal plane, notably a longitudinal midplane, such that the cavity receives substantially one lateral half of the appliance.
[0015] The body may comprise lateral recessed reliefs for manual grasping. Such reliefs notably facilitate the extraction of the body from the case.
[0016] The body and the case may form a cavity under the body, in particular for receiving the power cable.
[0017] Insert
[0018] Preferably, the device comprises a plurality of inserts, as described above, fitted in the cavity at different locations in the latter. Preferably, the insert or inserts are made of a material different than that of the body.
[0019] Preferably, the insert or inserts are made of a material that is thermally resistant to higher temperatures than the material of the body.
[0020] The insert or inserts may have a thickness greater than or equal to 1 mm, notably of between 2 and 6 mm.
[0021] Preferably, the insert or inserts are made of a material stable up to a temperature greater than or equal to 150°C, better still greater than or equal to 200°C, even better still greater than or equal to 230°C. What is meant by "stable”, is that the material does not degrade at such temperatures or change state. This means that the appliance can be left to heat up in the support before use, or that it can be set down thereon during use.
[0022] Preferably, the insert or inserts are made of a thermoplastic polymer material, in particular an elastomer, in particular a silicone. Such a material makes it possible simultaneously to have a good mechanical strength of the appliance with absorption of shocks or vibration, good thermal resistance enabling the appliance to be put away immediately after use, and good protection of the appliance to limit functional or esthetic deterioration when the appliance is put away inside the cavity.
[0023] Preferably, the or each insert is in one piece.
[0024] The or each insert may be removably mounted or preferably fixed in the cavity. The insert or inserts may comprise one or more members for fixing in the cavity. Fixing can be done by snap-fastening or by fixing elements that pass through the body or by any other means.
[0025] For example, the insert or at least one of the inserts, in particular the insert extending at the proximal end as will be seen below, may comprise a fixing extension configured to clip into a hole in the body. The fixing extension may be V-shaped or substantially triangular, the tip being on the side remote from the hole so that the fixing extension can be easily inserted into the hole by elastic deformation of the V- shape or triangular shape, and so that the fixing extension is blocked in the direction of its extraction from the hole. The fixing extension may also comprise a zone for grasping, in particular a breakable zone, extending from the tip of the extension to facilitate the snap-fastening of the fixing extension by pulling this grasping zone under the body when mounting the insert in the cavity. The or at least one of the inserts, in particular the insert or inserts at the distal end as will be seen hereinafter, may comprise fixing reliefs complementary to reliefs of the body, in particular a snap-fastening relief and an abutment relief.
[0026] Preferably, the insert or inserts have an exterior surface having a shape complementary to the body at the level of the part of the cavity in which they are inserted and an interior surface having a shape complementary to an exterior surface of the appliance which they hold. Preferably, the insert(s) have a shape configured to hold the appliance in the cavity with a holding force greater than the force of gravity on the appliance. This avoids the removal of the appliance from the cavity simply as a result of the force of gravity acting on it when the device is turned over with the appliance in the cavity. In particular, this allows the appliance to be properly held in the cavity regardless of the orientation of the device, especially during transport.
[0027] The inserts may be fitted in the cavity at ends of the cavity, in particular at each of the ends of the cavity.
[0028] Preferably, the or at least some of the inserts are arranged at a distal end of the cavity, i.e. at an end configured to receive a distal end of the appliance, in particular a distal end of a jaw of the appliance. In fact, this makes it possible to avoid contact between the heat treatment surface, which may be arranged close to this distal end, and the body. It or they may have an internal surface shaped or embossed to hold the end of the appliance in the cavity and prevent its extraction. Said insert(s) may be in the form of a sheath for the distal end of the appliance received thereby. The internal surface may have at least one cross-section with respect to the longitudinal axis of the cavity that has a closed contour. Preferably, said insert or inserts extend at least partially out of the cavity onto the appliance at the distal end. Thus, the insert(s) may prevent the extraction of the appliance through movement transverse to the cavity by at least partially covering the distal end of the appliance when the appliance is housed in the cavity. The insert(s) at the distal end of the cavity may comprise projecting reliefs extending from their internal surface, in particular ribs. Through their elasticity, such ribs improve the insertion and retention of the end of the appliance.
[0029] The or one of the inserts may be arranged at a proximal end of the cavity, that is to say an end configured to receive a proximal end of the appliance, in particular an end close to a joint between two jaws of the appliance. Said insert may be arranged in the cavity at a groove in the cavity configured to receive a connecting portion for attaching a power cord to the appliance, such as a bent portion, and / or a portion of the power cord. It may be configured to have an open ring shape in section configured to receive the connecting portion of the power cord, such as a bent portion, and / or the power cord portion. It may have an angular extent greater than 180° and / or less than 360°. It has an opening configured to allow the insertion of the corresponding part of the appliance through the elastic deformation of the insert. This allows the insert to at least partially cover the proximal part of the appliance, allowing it to be held in position.
[0030] The insert at the proximal end may comprise on its external surface at the level of the opening at least one guide extension for guiding the appliance, particularly for guiding the connecting part that attaches the power cord to the appliance, into the insert. Preferably, the insert at the proximal end comprises on its external surface at the level of the opening two guide extensions for guiding the appliance, particularly for guiding the connecting part that attaches the power cord to the appliance, into the insert extending on either side of the opening. The guide extensions may have a greater distance from each other at their distal end than at the opening. The guide extensions may have a funnel shape toward the opening. This makes it easier to insert the part of the appliance that fits into the insert.
[0031] The guide extensions may have a concave and / or planar internal face toward the opening.
[0032] The or at least one of the guide extensions may comprise a bearing surface on which the lid of the case can rest and be configured so that, when the lid of the case is closed, it comes to bear against the bearing surface and compresses the guide extension toward the inside of the insert in order to at least partially close, through the elasticity of the insert, the opening of the insert toward the inside of the insert. This allows the corresponding part of the appliance, in particular the connecting part that attaches the appliance power cord, to be held in the cavity, the retention being reinforced when the lid is closed, especially during transport of the appliance.
[0033] The guide extension or extensions are preferably integral with the insert. Such a guide projection may have a concave shape.
[0034] Preferably, the insert(s) are configured to be spaced away from all controls of the appliance. Preferably, the insert(s) have an internal surface tailored to the shape of the corresponding part of the appliance with or without deformation and / or compression of its internal surface.
[0035] The insert(s) may be configured to keep all of the surfaces of the appliance away from the body when the appliance is housed in the cavity. This allows hot surfaces to be kept away from the body and also prevents actuation of the control by insertion into the cavity. This can also reduce the risk of damage to the appliance, notably scratching by the cavity body.
[0036] Body and appliance
[0037] The body may be in one piece.
[0038] The body may be at least partially thermoformed or formed by injection.
[0039] The body may be rigid. The body may have a thickness less than or equal to 0.5 mm, better still less than or equal to 1 mm, even better still less than or equal to 1.5 mm. What is meant by "rigid" is that the body does not deform as the appliance is being inserted into or removed from the cavity.
[0040] The body may be made of a thermoplastic material, in particular polypropylene.
[0041] Preferably, the body is made of a material stable up to a temperature greater than or equal to 80°C, better still greater than or equal to 90°C, even better still greater than or equal to 100°C, even better still greater than or equal to 120°C.
[0042] Preferably, the body is made of a material which deteriorates or deforms at a temperature of less than or equal to 200°C, better still less than or equal to 150°C, even better still less than or equal to 130°C.
[0043] Preferably, the cavity is of elongate shape.
[0044] When inserted into the cavity, the heat treatment surfaces of the appliance are spaced away from the body by a distance greater than or equal to 2 mm, better still between 2 and 6 mm. Such a distance notably makes it possible to prevent damage to the body by the heat of the appliance, as well as allowing good evacuation of heat from the appliance.
[0045] The cavity may be in the form of an imprint of an enlarged envelope of the appliance.
[0046] The cavity may be enlarged with respect to the appliance by a percentage greater than or equal to 2%, better still greater than or equal to 5%, and / or less than or equal to 25%, better still less than or equal to 15%. Such a spacing allows the heat treatment surfaces to be kept a good distance away from the body, while making it easier to grasp hold of the appliance and put it away.
[0047] Preferably, the or each insert has a shape and thickness configured to bridge this difference in the parts of the corresponding appliance. The insert(s) may be configured so that the appliance is substantially centered within the body.
[0048] The appliance may comprise two arms connected to each other at one end by a joint. The distal portions of said arms may each form a jaw, and the two arms may assume an open configuration for inserting hair between the jaws and a closed configuration for treatment. In this case, the cavity may be configured to receive the appliance when the arms are in the open configuration, in particular to have the shape of an imprint of the enlarged envelope of the appliance in the arms-open configuration, as indicated above. The known supports are configured to have a cavity shaped to receive the appliance in a closed configuration, in particular for the sake of compactness of the case. However, such storage in a closed configuration complicates the handling of the appliance because the latter when at rest is in an open configuration. The user therefore has to lock the device in the closed configuration when inserting it into the cavity, and to unlock it before use. The fact that the cavity is configured to receive the appliance in an open configuration therefore reduces the handling of the appliance before setting it down. It is then easier to set it down easily in the cavity between two closely-consecutive uses, for example between two locks of hair, which is also made possible by the fact that the inserts keep the hot surfaces spaced away from the body.
[0049] The cavity may have two sub-cavities each extending along a longitudinal axis, preferably rectilinear, and meeting at one of their ends referred to as the proximal end. The two sub-cavities are configured to each receive one arm of the appliance. The longitudinal axes of the two sub-cavities may form between them an angle substantially equal to the angle between the longitudinal axes of the arms of the appliance in the open configuration. As described above, each sub-cavity can receive an insert, in particular at its distal end. The device may include at least three inserts, notably one at the distal end of each sub-cavity and one at the proximal end of the cavity.
[0050] Preferably, the body comprises a substantially pointed high portion extending between the two sub-cavities and separating them over more than 50%, better still more than The body may comprise, at least at one of its ends, in particular at the distal end of at least one or each of the sub-cavities, a shell extending above the cavity or the sub-cavity. The shell or both shells may define with the cavity a housing for receiving the corresponding insert or inserts. The shell may be formed by a thermoformed portion of the body. Preferably, the cavity space under the shell is devoid of body and is closed by the insert configured to fit into the cavity space under the shell.
[0051] The device can be configured so that the appliance rests only on the inserts, without there being any contact with the body.
[0052] The body may have a substantially oval contour.
[0053] The body may include a notch at the distal end of the cavity for the passage of the power cord.
[0054] The cavity may have a variable height, in particular a greater height at the jaws than at the handles, where the height is itself higher than at the power cord.
[0055] The cavity may comprise one or more recesses for housing one or more projecting parts of the appliance, in particular the control button or members and / or the detection member.
[0056] The cavity may include a grasping recess to make it easier for the user to grasp the appliance in the cavity. The grasping recess can be sized and shaped to allow the appliance to be grasped.
[0057] Preferably, the cavity is configured such that the appliance received in the cavity has a longitudinal midplane parallel to an upper surface of the body defined by the body outside the cavity.
[0058] The device can be configured so that the appliance is inserted by inserting the distal ends into the corresponding inserts and then tilting the appliance so as to insert it into the cavity, notably so as to clip-fasten the distal end onto the corresponding insert.
[0059] Assembly
[0060] The invention also relates to an assembly of the device as described above and of an appliance for heat treatment of hair, in particular arranged in the cavity.
[0061] The device may comprise two arms connected to each other at their proximal end by a joint. The distal portions of said arms may each form a jaw. The arms can assume an open configuration for inserting hair between the jaws and a closed configuration for heat treatment. One or both jaws may include a heat treatment surface, such as a heating plate extending between the jaws. At least one of the jaws may include an external heat treatment surface, such as a heated external metal plate, extending outwardly from the jaws.

[0072] Detailed description
[0073] Figures 1 to 4 illustrate an assembly of a device 10 for packaging and / or receiving and / or presenting an appliance 100 for heat treating hair.
[0074] The appliance 100 may comprise a handpiece 110 connected to a base or to an electrical power supply by a connecting part 125.
[0075] The device 10 comprises a case 20 which itself comprises a body 30 for receiving the appliance 100. The body 30 and the case 20 may between them form a housing suitable for receiving the power cord 130 of the appliance and / or its base. The case 20 may comprise a pivoting lid 24, mounted on hinges 22, visible in particular in figure 6.
[0076] The body 30 comprises a cavity 35 for receiving the handpiece 110 and inserts 40, 41 and 42 for positioning and holding the handpiece in the cavity 35. When the handpiece 110 is in the cavity 35, it is positioned on or in the inserts 40, 41 and 42 and is thus kept spaced away from the body 30 forming the cavity 35. In other words, the inserts 40, 41, 42 act as supports for the handpiece. These inserts make it possible for the handpiece 110 to be held within the cavity 35 with great precision, in particular so as to prevent the handpiece 110 from moving around inside the cavity, for example during transport (whether this is the transport that the user themselves may perform, or the transport between the place of manufacture and the point of sale). This makes it possible to prevent the handpiece from rubbing or tapping against the walls of the body 30 forming the cavity 35, thus limiting any risk of degradation of the esthetic appearance of the handpiece 110 (scratches in particular). In addition, the inserts are designed to keep the handpiece away from the walls of the body 30 forming the cavity 35, thereby allowing a layer of air to circulate all around the handpiece. It is thus possible to place the handpiece at a relatively high temperature (in the operating state) into the cavity without running the risk of damaging either the body 30 or the handpiece 110.
[0077] According to the invention, the packaging and / or receiving and / or presentation device 10 comprises at least one insert 40, 41, 42, preferably a plurality of, and advantageously at least three, inserts as can be seen in the various figures, and particularly advantageously exactly three inserts 40, 41, 42. Indeed, with exactly three inserts 40, 41, 42, the handpiece 110 is isostatically supported and held inside the cavity 35, guaranteeing a remarkable compromise between, on the one hand, excellent holding and, on the other hand, easy insertion / extraction with respect to the cavity 35.
[0078] The cavity 35 is preferably in the form of an enlarged imprint of the handpiece 110. The cavity 35 is enlarged with respect to the handpiece 110 by a difference greater than or equal to 2 mm, better still greater than or equal to 4 mm, better still between 2 and 5 mm at any point. The inserts 40, 41 and 42 are configured to bridge this difference in size at those parts of the cavity 35 in which they are arranged, and to be tailored to fit the handpiece 110 with or without deformation and / or compression of the corresponding insert 40, 41 or 42. More precisely, the device that forms the subject of the invention is designed so that, at any point outside of the at least one insert 40, 41, 42, a distance strictly greater than 0 mm, preferably greater than or equal to 2 mm, is present between the handpiece 110 and the body 30. In other words, outside of the at least one insert 40, 41, 42 or outside of the inserts 40, 41, 42, there is no contact between the handpiece 110 and the body 30. This absence of continuous contact offers, as mentioned above, numerous advantages, in particular the creation of a circulation of air between the handpiece 110 and the body 30, thus allowing the handpiece 110 to be put away in the body 30 while still hot, without any deterioration of one or the other; or else allowing the elimination of the risk of scratches on the surfaces of the handpiece 110 and / or of the body 30. In instances in which the handpiece 110 has a device for generating steam and / or moisture, the permanent presence of air around the handpiece (in other words, the absence of continuous contact between the handpiece 110 and the housing 35) ensures proper drying of said handpiece.
[0079] The body 30 may be made of a thermoplastic material. It can be formed at least partially of a thermoformed thermoplastic sheet. Its material can be configured to degrade upwards of at least 120°C. The body 30 may be in one piece.
[0080] The inserts 40, 41 and 42 may be made of the same thermoplastic material different than that of the body and may be heat resistant to above 200°C. They may also have a certain elasticity allowing a better holding of the handpiece and / or making it easier for the latter to be inserted into the inserts 40, 41, 42. The inserts 40, 41 and 42 may be made of an elastomer material, in particular silicone. Such a material has, in particular, good thermal resistance, elastic properties and good adhesion. The inserts 40, 41 and 42 can be molded. They may be mounted fixedly on the body, in particular by gluing, or they may be mounted removably on the body.
[0081] In the example illustrated, the handpiece 110 comprises two arms 103 and 104 each extending along a longitudinal axis X and Y and each having a treatment jaw 106 and 107 and a half-handle 108 and 109. The two arms 103 and 104 are movable relative to one another, between an open position for inserting the hair between the jaws 106 and 107 and a closed position for treating the hair between the jaws 106 and 107, by means of an articulated joint 115 at their proximal ends. The articulation 115 is preferably configured to hold the two arms unstressed in the open configuration. In other words, the handpiece 110 thus forms a pair of tongs articulated by a hinge at its proximal end. In this instance, the appliance can form a hair straightener, and advantageously a hair straightener capable of producing steam.
[0082] At least one of the two jaws 106 or 107, in particular each of the two jaws 106 and 107, may comprise an internal heat treatment surface 113 and 114 extending between the jaws 106 and 107 when the arms are in the closed configuration. The internal heat treatment surface(s) 113 and 114 may be formed by heated internal plates extending between the two jaws 106 and 107. At least one of the two jaws 106 or 107, in particular each of the two jaws 106 and 107, may also comprise an external heat treatment surface 115 and 116, in particular a heated external plate extending around the external surface of the or each of the jaws 106 or 107.
[0083] The handpiece 110 is connected to the power supply by a connecting part 120 for attaching a power supply cord 130 to the handpiece and extending from one of the arms 106 at its half-handle end referred to as the proximal end. The connecting part 120 may comprise a rotary fixing to the arm 106. The connecting part 120 may comprise a bent part 125 making the appliance easier to manipulate.
[0084] The handpiece may furthermore carry one or more additional treatment members, in particular a comb 127 and / or steam outlets, not visible, on one of the jaws 106.
[0085] The cavity 35 here is configured to receive the handpiece 110 when the arms are in the open configuration. For this purpose, the cavity 35 has a sub-cavity 37 and 38 each designed to receive one of the arms 103 and 104, the two sub-cavities 37 and 38 being joined together over a portion of their length representing less than 50% of their length, better still less than 40% of their length. The sub-cavities 37 and 38 form between them an angle a equal to the angle between the arms in the open configuration and are separated from each other by a high portion of the body 50 extending over more than half of the cavities. One of the subcavities 37 may comprise a groove 39 at its proximal end for housing the connecting portion 120 that attaches the power cord 130 to the handpiece 110. The groove 39 may have, over part of its length, an opening 52 in the bottom allowing the power lead 120 to pass into the housing formed by the body 30 and the case 20.
[0086] The body may comprise, at the distal ends of the two sub-cavities 37 and 38, openings 58 and 59, visible in particular in figure 4, covered by shells 60 and 61 extending above the corresponding sub-cavities 37 or 38. The shells 60 and 61 are preferably formed by thermoforming of the body.
[0087] In the example illustrated, the device 10 comprises three inserts 40, 41 and 42 arranged respectively at each of the distal ends of the two sub-cavities 37 and 38 and at the proximal end of one of the sub-cavities 37, in particular in the groove 39 for receiving the connecting part 120. The three inserts 40, 41 and 42 allow the hot surfaces 113 to 116 to be kept away from the body 30. In the example shown, no surface of the handpiece comes into contact with the body 30. The inserts 40, 41, 42 make it possible to hold the handpiece suspended in the cavity 35 and away from the surfaces of the cavity. The two inserts 40 and 41 arranged at the proximal end of one of the sub-cavities 37 are housed in the housing delimited by the sub-cavities 37 and 38 and the shells 60 and 61 and close the openings 58 and 59. They have an external surface of complementary shape to the internal surface of said housing, in particular to the shells 60 and 61, and an internal surface 45 of substantially complementary shape to the distal end of the corresponding arm 103, 104 of the handpiece 110. They have the shape of a sheath of the distal end of the corresponding arm 103, 104 of the handpiece 110.
[0088] They each have fixing reliefs 78, here projecting reliefs in the form of a hook, configured to cooperate with reliefs belonging to the body 79, here notches of complementary shape to the hooks, and an abutment relief 80 configured to cooperate with an abutment 82 of the body extending into the corresponding housing. The inserts 40 and 41 are then held in their respective housings by snap-fastening the fixing reliefs in the corresponding notches and by bringing the abutment relief 80 into abutment on the abutment 82, as can be seen, for example, in figure 5.
[0089] Their thickness is variable and is configured to be adjusted to suit both the subcavity 37 or 38 and the handpiece 110. They preferably have a greater thickness near the hot surfaces, in particular the treatment surface on the inside of the arm. As can be seen in figure 3, their internal surface 45 may have ribs 48 making it easier to insert and hold the distal end of the handpiece. The inserts 40 and 41 are in the form of an ogive configured to cover the distal end of the arms by at least partially overlapping the arm above the sub-cavity 37 or 38. This enables the handpiece to be held better in the cavity, particularly during transport of same. The two inserts 40 and 41 may partially overlap one or more heat treatment surfaces 113 to 116.
[0090] The insert 42 arranged in the groove 39 for receiving the connecting part 120 may extend in the form of an open ring in the groove 39. It has an external surface of complementary shape to the internal surface of the groove 39 and an internal surface 45 of substantially complementary shape to the connecting part 125 of the appliance 100. It may in cross section have an internal surface 48 in the form of an arc of a circle having an angular extent greater than 180°. This allows it to have an upper opening 49 for inserting the connecting part 120 that attaches the cord which is deformable and deforms upon insertion of the connecting part 120 and then partially covers the connecting part 120 for good holding in position. The insert 42 may be located at the bent part 125 and extend along the bent portion of the groove 39.
[0091] As can be seen in figure 2 in particular, the depth of the cavity 35 may be variable. It is preferably configured so that the median plane M transverse to the internal treatment surface(s) 113 and 114 is parallel to the upper-surface plane of the body 30. Thus, the handpiece 110 is placed substantially horizontally on the device.
[0092] The cavity may comprise lateral recesses to match up with all the surface reliefs of the handpiece, leaving a gap between them, thus preventing accidental actuation of a control element of the appliance, or contact between the handpiece and the body 30, which contact could scratch the handpiece, as mentioned earlier. The cavity 35 may also include a recess 70 for grasping the handpiece in the cavity 35, allowing the user to slip one or more fingers into the recess in order to grasp the handpiece easily.
[0093] The body 30 may comprise recessed reliefs 75 at its two longitudinal ends allowing the body to be extracted from its case 20 so as to access the space 90 situated under the body, that is to say between the body 30 and the case 20. This space 90 can in particular be used to store other elements, such as for example the power cord 130 of the appliance, and / or various accessories, such as for example one or more combs 92, refill bottles 94, cosmetics, protective shells, instructions for use, etc., each of these accessories preferably being intended to be housed in a complementary location of the case 20, for example formed by ribs, grooves, or any retaining and / or positioning relief 96, as can be seen in figure 9. This makes it possible to offer the user a particularly optimized case 20 ensuring the holding functions for all the parts of their device, including its accessories.
[0094] With such a device, the user can use the appliance and place the handpiece 110 on the inserts 40, 41 and 42 in the cavity by first inserting the two distal ends of the arms in the open configuration into the inserts 40 and 41 and then tilting the proximal part, in particular the connecting part that attaches the handpiece power cord, into the insert 42. Thus, the handpiece that is still hot is received in the cavity without touching the walls of the body and is supported only by the inserts 40, 41 and 42.
[0095] Figure 7 illustrates a variant of the device which differs from the embodiment of figures 1 to 3 by the shape of the insert 42.
[0096] In this embodiment, the insert 42 has an external surface of complementary shape to the internal surface of the groove 39 and an internal surface 45 of substantially complementary shape to the connecting part 125 of the appliance 100. It may in cross section have an internal surface 48 in the form of an arc of a circle having an angular extent greater than 230° and having an upper opening 49 for insertion of the connecting part 120 that attaches the cord which is deformable and deforms upon insertion of the connecting part 120 and then partially covers the connecting part 120 for good holding in position. The insert 42 comprises, at its opening 49, guide extensions 65 and 67 for guiding the connecting part into the insert 42 and extending outwards on either side of the opening 49. The guide extensions 65 and 67 have between them at their distal end a distance u which is greater than the distance between them at the opening 49, which corresponds to the width p of the opening 49. One of the guide extensions 65 may have a surface toward the opening that is substantially concave in shape, forming a seat for the connecting part 120, facilitating its insertion into the insert 42, and the other of the guide extensions 67 may on the side of the opening 49 have a planar surface. However, it could be otherwise. The surfaces on the side of the opening could for example both be planar or convex. The insert 42 may have a reinforcement 71 on its rear surface to limit the extent to which it yields when the connecting part 120 is inserted into the opening and thus facilitate the widening of the opening 49 through the elasticity of the insert as the connecting part 120 is being inserted between the guide extensions 65 and 67.
[0097] In the example illustrated, the guide extension 67 also has a bearing surface 69 for the lid 24 of the case. This bearing surface 69 is configured to come to bear against the lid when the latter is closed, so that the closing lid 24 presses against the bearing surface 69 and compresses the guide extension 67 toward the inside of the insert 42. This has the effect of partially closing the opening 49 by reducing its width u and of tightening the insert 42 by reducing its internal diameter. The guide extension 67 is thick enough, in particular of a thickness m greater than that z of the insert outside of the extensions 65 and 67, so that the deformation by the lid can indeed occur as indicated above, rather than by yielding of the guide extension. The connecting part 120 in the insert 42 is then held more firmly and the movements of the appliance, in particular the vibrations of the latter, during transport are reduced. In other words, the insert 42 then behaves like a clamp, or a vice, which has an automatic tendency to close on and around the cord 130 by virtue of the action of the lid as the latter is closed.
[0098] The insert 42 can be fixed to the body by any means. As illustrated in figure 8, it may include a fixing extension 85 configured to snap into a hole 87 in the body. The fixing extension 85 may be V-shaped or substantially triangular, the tip being on the side remote from the hole 87 so that it is easy to insert into the hole 87 by elastic deformation of the V- shape or triangular shape, and so that the fixing extension 85 is blocked in the direction of its extraction from the hole 87 by the wide part of the V-shape or triangular shape. The fixing extension 85 may also comprise a breakable zone for grasping 88, extending from the tip of the V or of the triangle to facilitate the snap-fastening of the fixing extension 85 by pulling this grasping zone under the body. This grasping zone 88 can be cut off after the insert has been fitted, so as to limit the bulk of the fixing extension 85 under the body.
[0099] The invention is not limited to the embodiment illustrated. The handpiece may have a different shape, and so too may the cavity, depending on the shape of the handpiece.
[0100] The cavity can be configured to receive the handpiece in the closed configuration, and therefore consist in a single cavity. The device may not have the case for receiving the body.
[0101] The number of inserts may be different; in particular, the device may include a single insert to raise the jaws and avoid contact between the body and the jaws.
[0102] The inserts may be positioned elsewhere in the cavity, and / or may have a different shape.
