Abstract
Description
[0001] THE NEW GRAVITATIONAL MOTOR
[0002] THE NEW GRAVITATIONAL MOTOR
[0003] BACKGROUND OF THE PROPOSAL / INVENTION
[0004] Field of Invention
[0005] 1. The proposal I invention relates to conversion of Gravitational Force into useful work through the mechanical method. Any other method based on electromagnetism etc, falls outside the scope.
[0006] Description of Prior Art / Work
[0007] 2. According to the available information till date, it is known that individuals have been trying to use gravity for driving a motor, lift, electrical generator etc, through mechanical means. But no one has come up with a "Commercially Workable" concrete concept, mathematical background and associated design / working model to fulfill such desires in attractive economic manner. The already present proposals provide limited utilization of Gravitational force whereas, this fabrication offers conversion of considerable / huge amount of Gravitational force for useful works, in simplest and the most Efficient manner. The Significantly attractive Commercial Proposal has already been offered by this Author in the Name of Gravitational Motor, Registered with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization Geneva). Whereas, this Proposal titled New Gravitational Motor offers; a more Useful I Productive, Simpler, Rugged, Durable and Easy to Maintain structure as depicted in the Figures. Obviously it supports better Economics also. And theoretically, the aforementioned Fabrications could convert Infinite amount of Gravitational Force into useful Work.
[0008] 3. As per the limited knowledge available about various proposals, people have basically tried to make use of gravitational force in the traditional manner with the help of mechanical arrangements based on pulleys, levers etc, but no significant / useful mechanical arrangement has been offered. In certain cases there has been similar technique of Replacing the Lever Arms with independent Wheels but, there also the aim has been to Extend / Retract the Arms so as to produce the Difference of Leverage across the Wheel Structures. Consequently, in these cases, most of the Systems7energy has been utilized to extend and retract the Lever Arms thus leaving limited amount for useful work. That is why no economic / commercially viable fabrication has been operationalized till date. However, as a consequence of the experiments performed by this author and the consequent knowledge, it is possible to economically / commercially utilize gravitational force in the traditional manner making use of pullies and levers, with the mechanical arrangements as described in this proposal. This working model depicting the Basic Principle; offers useful idea supported by clear concept, complete mathematical background as well as elaborate design / drawing as identified in the following lines. As such, this write-up offers a simpler, efficient and direct method of commercially / economically utilizing gravitational force.
[0009] SUMMARY DETAILS OF PROPOSAL / INVENTION
[0010] Objective of the Proposal / Invention
[0011] 4. Objective of the invention / proposal is to convert, through the mechanical method, gravitational force into useful energy, which could be employed; a. To run the machines directly. b. Or rotate the generators for production of electricity. Consequently, a powerhouse could be run without the use of oil, gas, hydel or nuclear energy etc. c. In addition to its economic benefits, as to the cheap and universal availability of gravitational force, this proposal could also be employed to significantly affect the environment, as it could help reduce smoke, heat, nuclear waste etc. The indirect benefits of the proposal, related to Climate change may far exceed its direct effects. d. Additionally, it is perceived that the aforementioned method could also be applied to promote working of certain other mechanisms.
[0012] The Concept
[0013] 5. As far as the Concept / Principle to utilize gravitational force is concerned; the 'Principle of Classical Lever7has been adopted as the basic guideline to produce the Continuing State of Imbalance across a Two Wheels Geared Structure as per the attached Figures. The two Geared wheels fof different Radii) are acting as separate Arms of a Lever mechanism. And the ever-present weights on both the Arms I Wheels are providing the requisite differential force of rotation.
[0014] 6. Conceptually, two geared wheels of different Radii / Arms rotating with almost similar speeds, are loaded with a Set of Weights. The Weights are independently acting from each other in a manner that the Weights are not connected / chained together as indicated in attached Figures. The totally independent action of the Weights is also one of the basic differences from a number of Historical Proposals related to subject matter. Each Weight gets attached / connected to the wheels through the CUPS / Encatchments as identified in the Figures. As the wheels rotate, the Weights are Transferred between the CUPS / Encatchments (attached to the Wheels), thus following a Typical Path along the Wheels. This arrangement of the independently acting set of Weights along the Wheels, produces an ever-present force differential; responsible for the conversion of Gravitational force in accordance with the Lever Arm Lengths / Radii of the Wheels. Conceptually, the freedom to extend the Radius of Bigger Wheel to Any Limit could theoretically provide / convert Infinite Amount of Gravitational Force into useful work. And this aspect of potential to convert huge / infinite amount of Gravitational Force into useful work is the most significant Novelty of this Proposal.
[0015] 7. Another important aspect of the Concept is the positioning of Smaller Wheel outside the Bigger Wheel. This has enabled freedom to extend Radius of Bigger Wheel and placing of Smaller Wheel relatively closer to the Pivotal Point of Bigger Wheel as per Figures 1 & 2. Consequently, the Force provided by Bigger Wheel's Lever has further increased without any Actual Extension of the respective Arm Length. This proposal therefore, as a whole, has resultantly increased the benefits by over four folds vis-a-vis the aforementioned earlier Registration.
[0016] 8. As such, with the Grouping of two separate Arms of a Lever fin the form of Wheels a continuing 'Differential Weights' arrangement has been produced. Consequently, Gravitational Force corresponding to Imbalance of the Weights / Forces limited availability of Resources and Knowledge about the whole endeavor, the preceding fabrication is being employed for application of the Principle Only. Further work and experiments would surely help employ additional methods and Technologies for application of the Principle as well as employment of better Methods.
[0017] Salient Features
[0018] 9. The salient features which are considered main characteristics of this invention are set forth in the appended claim, the invention itself, however both as to its construction and operational utilization, together with additional objects and advantages there-of will be best clarified from the following description of the specific embodiment when read and understood in connection with the accompanying drawing.
[0019] Brief Description of the Drawing
[0020] 10. The details of Drawing / Figures are briefly described as follows:- a. The attached Figures present diagrammatic perspective view of this invention including the two Levers (two Wheels mutually Geared) of different Arm Lengths fixed on a vertical platform. Except that in case of Figure 2, the Smaller Wheel has been positioned Facing one side of the Bigger Wheel. b. These Figures also depict the Weights Independently Rotating Along / Over both the Wheels. The Weights Independently Rotating along the Wheels is one of the most important parts of the proposal. As identified in the preceding paras; both the Wheels are mutually Geared, the movement of the Weights is so planned that it rotates and shift between the Wheels in Coordinated Manner. Consequently, the Weights passing over the Wheels cause imbalance corresponding to the respective Differential Lengths of Radii of both the Wheels. c. The Figures also indicate that the Smaller Wheels are positioned on outer side of the Bigger Wheels. This technique provides even Easier Fabrication, Maintenance, Durability etc, vis-a-vis earlier Fabrications. In both the Figures, the positioning of Smaller Wheel on outer side the Bigger Wheel also facilitates inbuilt provision of Greater Arm Length of Bigger Wheel consequently, providing conversion of additional Gravitational Force compared to earlier propsals. This is again, one of the most important aspects of this proposal of Extending the useful Arm Length without Actually Extending the Arm Length. d. List of Reference Numerals of the Drawing. Following are the reference numerals and their description indicated in the drawing: -
[0021] 1 The Bigger Wheel.
[0022] 2 The Extended Portion of Bigger Wheel (1).
[0023] 3 Gear Teeth of Bigger Wheel (1).
[0024] 4 The Smaller Wheel.
[0025] 5 Gear Teeth of Smaller Wheel (4).
[0026] 6 The Encatchments / Cups.
[0027] 7 The Weights.
[0028] 8 Transfer Mechanism of the weights (7) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0029] 10. The concept as outlined in preceding paras, as per "Principle of Lever" has been adopted to produce a Continuing State of Imbalance of Gravitational Force across a Wheel Structure depicted in the attached Figures. In order to utilize the gravitational force; a Differential Weights (7) arrangement has been produced across the structure of mutually Geared Wheels fl and 4^ of differing Lever Arm Lengths. Consequently, the Imbalance of Weights (7) produced across the two Wheels (1 and 4) of differing Radii has been utilized to convert Gravitational Force into Rotational Movement I Torque. It is therefore, evident that the Torque is produced due to the differential leverage of Weights (7) passing along the mutually Geared Wheels (1 and 4) of Different Arm Lengths I Radii.
[0030] 11. As per the attached Figures, the positioning of Smaller Wheel (4) Closer to Pivotal Ponit of Bigger Wheel's (1) Lever Arm has also accordingly reduced the Opposing Force of Arm Length of Smaller Wheel (4). Correspondingly, the Force of Bigger Wheel's Arm Length has increased, providing Conversion of additional Gravitational Force without increasing the Lever's Arm Length of Bigger Wheel (1). This aspect is also one of the important variables of the Proposal which needs to be exploited to its maximum value.
[0031] 12. The coordinated movement of Weights (7) over the two mutually Geared wheels (1 and 4) governed by the relative Sizes of the Wheels (1 and 4) is another very important aspect of the whole structure. It is apparent that the Wheels (1 and 4) are Directly Geared to produce the coordinated movement, and the Weights (7) are made to move in consonance with the rotation of the Wheels (1 and 4). Such a coordinated movement of the Wheels (1 and 4) and the Weights (7) needs an Accurate Placing of the Weights (7) to ensure in pace movement of the Weights (7) and two geared Wheels (1 and 4). Here the demand of declared objectives basically, necessitates positioning of Weights (7) on both the Wheels (1 and 4), in a manner, to achieve interaction of greater number of Weights (7) on Bigger Wheel (1) with Weights (7) on Smaller Wheel (4). All the Syatem Variables are Geared to achieve the preceding Purpose. Just like the qraeter value of Radius of Bigger Wheel (1), Greater number of Weights (7) on Bigger Wheel (1) interacting with Weights (7) of Smaller Wheel (4); Greater would be the Conversion of Gravitational Force into useful work.
[0032] 13. The independently acting Weights (7) supported by the Cups (6) Pass between the Wheels (1 and 4) with the help of Transfer Mechanism (8).
[0033] 14. It is evident from the preceding narrations that Greater is the Lever Arm Length / Radii of Bigger Wheel (1), Greater would be the Differential Force converting significant amount of Gravitational Force into Rotational Movement. As such, the rotational effect of the proposal is Directly dependent on the Length of Lever Arm / Radii of the Bigger Wheel (11 This is the most significant part of the Proposal, as the Radii of Bigger Wheel (1) could be enhanced to any length independent of the Size of Smaller Wheel (41 The freedom to increase the Size of Bigger Wheel (1) to "any value" is one of the most important features of this Proposal differing from the Fabrications offered since 1840. 15. Analytical attention to the attached Figure and the preceding inputs regarding Essentials merit attention to the following major aspects: - a. The arrangement proposes a Two Levers Levers7Arms across two Geared Wheels fl and 4) Structure. Greater Radii of Bigger Wheel (1) would provide greater amount of beneficial Leverage to convert Gravitational force into useful Rotation. Such a structure needs accurately coordinated movement of both the wheels (1 and 4) of different Arms' length and Appropriate placing of Weights (7) on both the Wheels (1 and 4) as identified in precedin paras. The consequence of such an arrangement, if fabricated correctly, could be exploited by supplementing the differential leverage of Wheels (1 and 4) with appropriate Weights (7); resulting in ever-existing imbalance I rotation across the Wheel (1 and 4) structure. b. The exploitation of aforementioned proposal is also dependent upon the coordinated movement of Set of Weights (7) with the movement of two Geared Wheels (1 and 4). Consequently, smooth movement of the Wheels fl and 4^ and of Weights (7) is key to the realization of whole concept. Critical attention to the Figures indicates that such a fabrication is very much practical. c. To exploit / convert greater amount of Grvaitational Force into useful work vis-a-vis has enabled positioning of Smaller Wheel (4) closer to the Pivotal Point of Bigger Wheel (1) thus providing even greater Arm Length {(without extending the Arm of Bigger Wheel(l)} producing corresponding additional torque, as shown in the Figures. This is again a Novel aspect of the Proposal which needs to be exploited to its maximum. of the structure. Basically, the ratio of lever lengths of Bigger Wheel (1) to Smaller Wheel (4) governs the MA. This ratio of Levers minus the force required to move and sustain the movement of whole structure, while overcoming the opposing force of Weights (7) rotating along Smaller Wheel (4), provides the resulting MA. That means in essence, the MA basically depends upon the relative Ratio of the Levers Arms / Radii of the Wheels fl and 41
[0034] 17. To identify typical Quantification of MA, at this stage it is considered appropriate to present the Calculation of MA of the Structure Fabricated for demonstration purpose. Following are the basic diamensions the Structure:- a. Arm Length of Weights (7) Rotating on Smaller Wheel (4) = 2.75 inches b. Arm Lenght of Weights (7) rotating on Bigger Wheel (1) = 19 inches c. Arc Length of Weights' (7)
[0035] Travel on Bigger Wheel (1) = 5.90 inches d. Arc Length of Weights' (7)
[0036] Travel on Smaller Wheel (4) Equivalent to 5.90 inches on Bigger Wheel (1) = 2.12 inches e. Resultant Distance between
[0037] Weights (7) on Bigger Wheel (1) = 4.72 inches f. Resultant Distance between
[0038] Weights (7) on Smaller Wheel (4) = 1.72 inches g. Weights (4) on Smaller Wheel (4) spaced 1.72 inches on the Travel Arc = 04 h. Number of Equivalent Weights (7) on Bigger Wheel (1) to 04 of Smaller Wheel (4) = 1.25 j. Ratio of Arm Lengths of Weights (7) of both the
[0039] Wheels (1 and 4) = 19 / 2.75 = 6.9 k. Balance of Weights (7) as per above mentioned Equivalent Radii of both the Wheels (1 & 4) = 4 / 3 versus 1.25 l. Equivalent Leverage Ratio of Weights (7) On Respective Arcs I Arm Lengths as per Radii of Bigger (1) versus Smaller Wheel (4) = 6.9 x 1.25 versus 4 / 3 = 8.62 versus 4 / 3 Units of Weights m. Residual Force Aevailable As per the Relative Arms' Lengths of Weights (7) = 8.62 - 4 / 3
[0040] = 4.62 I 5.62 Units n. Placement of Smaller Wheel's (4)
[0041] Gear Teeth (5) from Pivotal Point of Bigger Wheel (1) = 11 inches o. Consequnently addition of 47% Leverage (2.17 Units) to
[0042] Available Force— Totals = 4.62 / 5.62 + 2.17
[0043] = 6.79 / 7.79 Units at 2.75 inch Radius p. Force Units required to Initiate Movement against System Inertia = Lesser than 01 Unit p. Force Unit needed for Operation of Transfer Mechanism (8) = Lesser than 01 Unit q. Finally, Units Avaialable for Rotation
[0044] = 6.79-1.5 OR 7.79-1.5
[0045] = 5.29 OR 6.29 Units at 2.75 Inches Arm Length on Bigger Wheel
[0046] 18. The preceding calculations indicate that with System Diameter of around 25 Inches and almost similar Height (as Fabricated for demonstration of the Working Principle), over 05 / 06 Units of 01 Inch Size with 2.75 Inches Arm Length could be made avialable for Rotation Round the Clock. Keeping the similar Ratios etc, Bigger Sized and Multiple Wheels7Single Axle fabrications could be fabricated. This is a huge Rotational Leverage available, which could prove well above the Benefits of Hvdal, Solar and Wind Systems, especially due to round the Clock availability of Gravitational Force, as analysed by this Author facing a number of limitations. These are the Initial Estimates which could prove to be even better with additional Research.
[0047] 19. The preceding highlights have been the result of a typical mechanical arrangement developed Manually and faced with a number of limitations. Appropriate designing, application of modern technologies; especially formulation of better Gear Mechanism, and further research would help better development of the proposal for optimum benefits. The value of mechanical advantage I useful force is however, Directly dependent upon Ratio of Levers between the two Wheels (1 and 4). 20. It is evident that the aforementioned proposal I invention have the potential to use gravitational force for the production of useful rotational movement. The method could be utilized to directly perform certain works or rotate various mechanisms including electrical generators, thereby running the power houses without traditional fuels, nuclear and hydal resources, other known forms of energies etc. Other than significant economic value, the method would be highly ecological friendly especially, in terms of gas emissions. The proposed employment of Gearing Mechanism without Chaining of the Wheels (1 and 4 vis-a-vis the earlier Proposal titled Gravitational Motor) promises to provide significant Technical and Economical benefits due to Simpler, Rugged, Durable and Easy to Maintain structures of this Proposal. Surely, further development and adoption of the proposal / invention would accurately quantify its benefits.
