Description

Terminal block including current switching block

[0001] The present invention relates to a terminal block including a current switching block that switches the rotation direction of a motor.

[0002] To rotate a motor, current must be applied to the wound stator coils in a consistent manner. A terminal block is used to connect the motor and the power supply, connecting the terminals drawn from the stator and the power supply at the same pitch.

[0003] The motor terminal block can be used in various wiring methods when starting a three-phase induction motor, and generally, there are the Y-starting method and the Δ-starting method. The Υ-starting method is used when the supply voltage is a high voltage of, for example, 380 V, by connecting the three wires of each phase of the motor coil in common and connecting the remaining three wires to each phase, and the Δ-starting method is used when the supply voltage is a low voltage of, for example, 220 V, by connecting the wires in a circle shape with each other's tails.

[0004] In order to facilitate Y or Δ connections in three-phase induction motors, the ends of the motor wires are usually equipped with crimp terminal pieces in the form of flat O-rings or forks, along with terminal numbers printed on the terminal caps. The terminal numbers of the motor wires have been mainly 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or u, v, w, x, y, z and have been used.

[0005] In order to switch the direction of rotation of such a three-phase motor, i.e., to change the direction of rotation from forward to reverse, the worker must cut off the power, sequentially loosen the bolts, nuts, wires, and metal plates, change the position of the wires, and then reconnect them.

[0006] In addition, because the same work as above had to be done to rotate it in the forward direction, there was a problem that it was a cumbersome task and required a high level of concentration, so it took a lot of time.

[0007] In addition, there was a problem of increased costs because there was a risk of electric shock during the above process, so specialized personnel were needed, and personnel to prepare for electric shock in the surrounding area had to be secured.

[0008] The present invention relates to a terminal block including a power switching block, and aims to provide a terminal block that can be conveniently connected without cutting off power when the rotation direction of a motor is to be changed.

[0009] The present invention relates to a terminal block including a current-carrying switching block, and the terminal block including the current-carrying switching block includes a main body having a plurality of compartments arranged in a longitudinal direction and facing each other in parallel, each having a terminal to which a wire is connected in the compartments, and a connector coupled to the main body, having a first current-carrying portion that conducts current to terminals facing each other among the compartments, and a second current-carrying portion that conducts current to terminals provided diagonally among the compartments, and selectively switching the terminals.

[0010] In addition, the main body may include a case, several partition walls forming the compartment in the case, an insertion hole cut into one of the partition walls so that the connector can be slidably inserted, and a guide protrusion that guides the connector in the direction of slidably inserting into the insertion hole so as to face each other.

[0011] In addition, the case may include a detachment prevention member that is coupled to pass through each of the compartments in the longitudinal direction of the main body to prevent detachment of the connector.

[0012] In addition, the connector may include a body portion having a first conductive terminal and a second conductive terminal, each end of which is provided longitudinally parallel to the first conductive portion and partially protrudes outward through both ends, and a third conductive terminal and a fourth conductive terminal, each of which is provided longitudinally staggered on the opposite side from which the first conductive portion protrudes and partially protrudes outward through both ends.

[0013] In addition, the case includes a coupling groove in which the terminal is inserted and fixed in the compartment and the connector is coupled; the terminal has a receiving portion into which a current-carrying terminal protruding from the body portion is inserted; and an end portion may be partially exposed to the coupling groove.

[0014] In addition, the body part may include a guide groove into which the guide protrusion is inserted; and a coupling protrusion formed between the protruding ends of the first conductive part and the second conductive part, and inserted into the coupling groove to press the end of the terminal.

[0015] In addition, the body part may include a current-blocking member that supports the first current-conducting part and the second current-conducting part and blocks current between them.

[0016] The present invention relates to a terminal block including a current switching block, and can exhibit the following effects.

[0017] First, according to the terminal block including the current switching block of the present invention, the user can easily connect the rotation direction of the motor in the forward and reverse directions when the motor is operated, and safety and convenience are improved by the detachable method of detaching and reattaching the connector.

[0018] Secondly, according to the terminal block including the current switching block of the present invention, the rotation direction of the motor can be changed in a detachable manner, so that even unskilled workers can easily replace it, thereby simplifying the work process, reducing the work time, and reducing costs.

[0019] The effects of the present invention are not limited to the effects mentioned above, and other effects not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description of the claims.

[0035] Hereinafter, a first embodiment of a terminal block including a current switching block of the present invention will be described with reference to the attached drawings.

[0036] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 9, a terminal block including a current switching block according to the present invention will be described. The terminal block including a current switching block includes a main body (10) having several compartments (112) arranged in a longitudinal direction facing each other and having terminals (13) to which wires (C) are connected in the compartments (112), and a connector (20) coupled to the main body (10) and having a first current-carrying portion (22) for energizing terminals facing each other among the compartments (112) and a second current-carrying portion (23) for energizing terminals provided diagonally among the compartments (112) to selectively switch the terminals.

[0037] The main body (10) may include a case (11), a cover (12), a terminal (13), and a detachment prevention member (14).

[0038] The case (11) may include a partition wall (111) that is provided so that several wires (C) are connected from the outside and forms a compartment (112) that accommodates several wires (C) inside.

[0039] A number of bulkheads (111) may be provided transversely from the longitudinal direction of the case (11) to form a compartment (112).

[0040] The bulkhead (111) may include several bulkheads (111) forming a compartment (112) in the case (11), an insertion hole (1113a) cut into one of the bulkheads (111) so that a connector (20) can be slidably inserted, and a guide protrusion (1113b) that guides the connector (20) in the direction of slidably inserting it so that they face each other in the insertion hole (1113a).

[0041] For example, the bulkhead (111) may include a first bulkhead (1111) and a second bulkhead (1112) sequentially provided transversely along the longitudinal direction of the case (11), and a third bulkhead (1131) in which a connector (20) is inserted between the first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112).

[0042] The bulkhead (111) may include a support (not assigned a drawing number) that is connected in the longitudinal direction of the case (11) between the case (11) and the first bulkhead (1111) to support the first bulkhead (1111), and that is connected in the longitudinal direction of the case (11) between the second bulkhead (1112) and the case (11) to support the first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112).

[0043] The first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112) may be provided with a detachment prevention member groove (1111a) (1112a) into which a detachment prevention member (14) described later is inserted.

[0044] The detachment prevention member groove (1111a)(1112a) can be used to secure the detachment prevention member (14) along the direction in which the connector (20) is inserted. The detachment prevention member groove (1111a)(1112a) can include a detachment prevention member fixing groove (1111a')(1112a') having a predetermined curvature corresponding to the outer surface of the detachment prevention member (14).

[0045] The detachment prevention member fixing groove (1111a') (1112a') can prevent detachment of the connector (20) by inserting one side wall of the detachment prevention member (14) into it to more firmly fix the detachment prevention member (14).

[0046] The third bulkhead (1113) may be provided between the first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112) and may include an insertion port (1113a) partially cut out to allow the connector (20) to be slidably inserted. The third bulkhead (1113) may include a guide protrusion (1113b) that protrudes from the cut insertion port (1113a) so as to face each other and guide the connector (20).

[0047] The compartment (112) may be formed by several bulkheads (111) in the longitudinal direction of the case (11), and each terminal (13) may be provided.

[0048] In the compartment (112), odd-side compartments (1121, 1123, 1125, 1127) and even-side compartments (1122, 1124, 1126, 1128) correspond to each other, and the wires (C) of the three-phase, four-wire can be connected to the terminal (13) as N (neutral line, C1), R (C2), S (C3), and T (C4), respectively.

[0049] Here, RSTN can be red, blue, green, and neutral, respectively, and the neutral wire can be black. This is an example of the RST phase for three-phase power, but it is understandable that the color of the four-phase power or wire (C) can be applied differently depending on the user.

[0050] For example, the compartment (112) is divided into the first compartment (1121), the second compartment (1122), the third compartment and the fourth compartment by the first partition wall (1111), the third compartment (1123), the fourth compartment (1124), the fifth compartment (1125) and the sixth compartment (1126) are divided by the third partition wall (1113), and the seventh compartment (1127) and the eighth compartment (1128) are divided by the second partition wall (1112). Accordingly, the compartment (112) can form a second compartment (1122) corresponding to the first compartment (1121), a fourth compartment (1124) corresponding to the third compartment (1123), a sixth compartment (1126) corresponding to the fifth compartment (1125), and an eighth compartment (1128) corresponding to the seventh compartment (1127).

[0051] Corresponding wires (C) are respectively arranged in the odd-side compartments (1121, 1123, 1125, 1127) and the even-side compartments (1122, 1124, 1126, 1128).

[0052] The first compartment (1121), the second compartment (1122), the seventh compartment (1127), and the eighth compartment (1128) are equipped with N(C1), and the first compartment (1121), the second compartment (1122), the seventh compartment (1127), and the eighth compartment (1128) can be provided as a single unit so that the terminals (13) are connected to each other.

[0053] The third compartment (1123) and the fourth compartment (1124) may be equipped with an R phase (C2), the fifth compartment (1125) and the sixth compartment (1126) may be equipped with an S phase (C3), and the seventh compartment (1127) and the eighth compartment (1128) may be equipped with a T phase (C4).

[0054] Next, each wire (C) provided in the compartment (112) of the case (11) can be fixed by bolting together with the terminal (13).

[0055] Meanwhile, the case (11) may include a coupling groove (1125a, 1126a) in which a terminal (13) is inserted and fixed in a compartment (112) and a connector (20) is coupled. Here, the coupling groove is described as an example of the coupling groove provided in the fifth and sixth compartments, but such coupling grooves are also provided in the third and fourth compartments to have the same configuration and function, respectively.

[0056] The case (11) can be used by applying a non-conductive material or attaching a non-conductive film (NCF) or the like to the terminal (13) to prevent the flowing current from leaking to the outside.

[0057] Here, the raw material used as the non-conductive material may include zirconia powder, gemstone powder (a gemstone powder of any one of diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald, topaz, quartz, amethyst, coral, pearl, opal, onyx, diopside, Paris lazuli, rhodochrosite, rhodolite, rubellite, malachite, tourmaline, spinel, citrine, apatite, and iolite), plastic powder, or a mixture of one or more types of powders.

[0058] By applying these non-conductive materials, the safety of the terminal block can be further improved.

[0059] Terminals (13) are provided in each compartment (112) of the case (11) to conduct current through wires (C). Terminals (13) include a first terminal (131), a second terminal (132), a third terminal (133), and a fourth terminal (134), and can be fixed to the case (11) by bolting.

[0060] For example, the first terminal (131) is provided to conduct electricity between the first compartment (1121) and the second compartment (1122), and the second terminal (132) is provided in the third compartment (1123) and the fourth compartment (1124), respectively, so that electricity can be conducted between them through a connector (20) described later.

[0061] In addition, the third terminal (133) may be provided in the fifth compartment (1125) and the sixth compartment (1126) so as to be electrically connected to each other through a connector (20), and the fourth terminal (134) may be provided so as to electrically connect the seventh compartment (1127) and the eighth compartment (1128).

[0062] The second terminal (132) and the third terminal (133) are formed by bending a receiving portion (1321) (1331) into which a part of the current-carrying terminal (22, 23) protruding from the body portion (21) is inserted, and the end portion may be partially exposed to the joining groove (1125a, 1126a).

[0063] It is preferable that the second terminal (132) and the third terminal (133) be provided close to the receiving portions (1321) (1331) of the compartments facing each other.

[0064] The detachment prevention member (14) can be fixedly connected from the upper side so as to pass through each compartment, i.e., the first compartment (1111) and the second compartment (1112), in the longitudinal direction of the main body (10).

[0065] The anti-separation member (14) may have a curved surface having a predetermined curvature formed on the longitudinal side. The anti-separation member (14) may be fixedly connected to the anti-separation member groove (1111a) (1112a) on the upper side in the direction in which the connector (20) is inserted into the insertion hole (1113a) of the third partition wall (1113) of the first partition wall (1111) and the second partition wall (1122).

[0066] The detachment prevention member (14) can be fixed to the detachment prevention member groove (1111a)(1112a) to prevent detachment of the connector (20), and the side can be slidably inserted into the detachment prevention member fixing groove (1111a')(1112a') to more firmly fix the connector (20).

[0067] The connector (20) is coupled to the main body (10), and is provided with a first conductive part (22) that conducts current to the terminals (13) facing each other among the compartments (112), and a second conductive part (23) that conducts current to the terminals (13) provided diagonally among the compartments (112), so that the terminals (13) can be selectively switched.

[0068] The connector (20) may include a body portion (21) having a first conductive terminal (221) and a second conductive terminal (222) that are provided longitudinally parallel to each other and have each end partially protruding outward through both ends, and a third conductive terminal (231) and a fourth conductive terminal (232) that are provided longitudinally staggered to each other and have each end partially protruding on the opposite side from which the first conductive portion (22) protrudes.

[0069] The body part (21) can be slidably inserted into the insertion hole (1113a) of the third partition wall (1113) of the case (11). The body part (21) may include a guide groove (21a) into which a guide projection (1113b) is inserted, and a coupling projection (211) formed between the protruding ends of the first conductive portion (22) and the second conductive portion (23), and inserted into a coupling groove (1125a, 1126a) to press the end of the terminal (13).

[0070] The guide groove (21a) is formed in the longitudinal direction from the front end where the body part (21) is inserted into the insertion hole (1113a) toward the rear end, and slides along the guide projection (1113b).

[0071] The coupling protrusion (211) protrudes in the direction in which the ends of the first conductive portion (22) and the second conductive portion (23) protrude from the body portion (21), as shown in Fig. 4, but may protrude shorter than the ends of the first conductive portion (22) and the second conductive portion (23). The coupling protrusion (211) may be inserted into each of the coupling grooves (1125a, 1125b) to press the third terminal (133) and prevent the third terminal (133) from coming off.

[0072] The current-blocking member (212) supports the first current-conducting part (22) and the second current-conducting part (23) inside the body part (21) and can block current between them. The current-blocking member (212) is provided so as to protrude between the first current-conducting part (22) and the second current-conducting part (23) inside the body part (21) so as to prevent interference between the first current-conducting part (22) and the second current-conducting part (23) while current is flowing between them.

[0073] In addition, the current-blocking member (212) may be provided by applying a material that blocks the flow of current. Here, the current-blocking material may include a powder of zirconia powder, a gemstone powder (a gemstone powder of any one of diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald, topaz, quartz, amethyst, coral, pearl, opal, onyx, diopside, Paris lazuli, rhodochrosite, rhodolite, rubellite, malachite, tourmaline, spinel, citrine, apatite, and iolite), a powder of any one of plastic powders, or a mixture of one or more types of powders.

[0074] The current-blocking member (212) can improve safety by reducing the risk of accidents caused by sparks that may occur between the first current-conducting part (22) and the second current-conducting part (23).

[0075] The first conductive part (22) may include a first conductive terminal (221) and a second conductive terminal (222) which are provided parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction of the body part (21) and each end partially protrudes outward through both ends.

[0076] The first conducting portion (22) is shaped like the letter 'ㄷ' and each end on both sides can conduct current to the terminals facing each other. For example, the first conducting terminal (221) can be connected to the second terminal (132), and the second conducting terminal (222) can conduct current to the third terminal (133) to rotate the motor normally.

[0077] The second conductive part (23) may be provided in an alternating manner in the longitudinal direction of the body part (21), and a third conductive terminal (231) and a fourth conductive terminal (232) may be provided with each end partially protruding from the body part (21) opposite to the first conductive part (22).

[0078] For example, the third current-carrying terminal (231) and the fourth current-carrying terminal (232) are arranged in an 'X' shape and are staggered so that terminals that face each other diagonally can be switched to conduct current. Accordingly, the third current-carrying terminal (231) can conduct current with the third terminal that faces the fourth terminal (134) diagonally, and the fourth current-carrying terminal (232) can conduct current with the fourth terminal that faces the third terminal (133) diagonally, thereby switching the rotation of the motor to rotate in the opposite direction.

[0079] In explaining the method of use for a terminal block including such a current switching block, when explaining normal rotation, a terminal (13) is installed in each compartment of the case (11). A first terminal (131) that is connected to each other is installed in the first compartment (1121) and the second compartment (1122), a second terminal (132) and a third terminal (133) are installed in the third compartment (1123) to the sixth compartment (1126), and a fourth terminal (134) that is connected to each other is installed in the seventh compartment (1127) and the eighth compartment (1128).

[0080] In the first compartment (1121) and the second compartment (1122), N (C1) may be installed in the first terminal (131), respectively. In the third compartment (1123) and the fourth compartment (1124), R (C2) may be installed in the second terminal (132), in the fifth compartment (1125) and the sixth compartment (1126), S (C3) may be installed in the third terminal (133), respectively. In the seventh compartment (1127) and the eighth compartment (1128), T (C4) may be installed in the fourth terminal (134), respectively.

[0081] Afterwards, the main body (10) slides the connector (20) into the insertion port (1113). At this time, the guide groove (21a) of the connector (20) is aligned with the guide protrusion (1113b) of the case (11) and is slid.

[0082] The coupling projection (211) of the connector (20) can be inserted into the coupling groove (1125a, 1126a) to press the end of the terminal (13) to support the terminal (13).

[0083] In addition, when explaining the reverse current from the top, the user slides the connector (20) upward from the insertion port (1113) to remove it, and then slides and inserts the second current-carrying part (23) into the insertion port (1113) on the other side of the connector (20) in the same manner as described above.

[0084] According to the connector (20) inserted in this way, the third current-carrying terminal (231) can be switched to conduct current with the third terminal diagonally opposite the fourth terminal (134), and the fourth current-carrying terminal (232) can be switched to conduct current with the fourth terminal diagonally opposite the third terminal (133) to rotate the motor in the opposite direction.

[0085] Meanwhile, referring to FIGS. 10 to 12, a second embodiment according to the present invention will be described. According to a terminal block including a current switching block, the terminal block including a current switching block may include a clip (30) that fixes a connector (20) and a separation prevention member (14) that can prevent separation of the separation prevention member (14).

[0086] The clip (30) can rotate in the case (11) close to the first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112) and pressurize the anti-separation member (14).

[0087] The clip (30) may include a fixing member (31) provided in a direction facing each other so as to pressurize the first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112) from the upper side, a hinge (32) that rotatably connects the fixing member (31) to a case (11) close to the first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112), and an elastic body provided on the hinge (32) to elastically support the fixing member (31) so as to return it to its original position toward the anti-separation member (14).

[0088] The fixed member (31) may be provided facing each other in the case (11) adjacent to the first bulkhead (1111) and the second bulkhead (1112). The fixed member (31) may rotate toward the first bulkhead (1111) with one side connected to the case (11) as the center, and may include a pressure member (311) that pressurizes one side of the detachment prevention member (14).

[0089] The pressure member (311) is made of an elastic material and pressurizes the anti-separation member (14), thereby preventing the fixing member (31) from being pushed away from the anti-separation member (14).

[0090] The hinge (32) rotatably fixes the fixing member (31) to the case (11) and may include an elastic body inside. The hinge (32) may apply a constant pressure to the fixing member (31) by the elastic body to the anti-separation member (14).

[0091] Meanwhile, the first bulkhead (1111) may include a fixing member groove (1111b) into which a fixing member (31) is inserted, and the anti-separation member (14) may include a pressing groove (141) into which a pressing member (311) is inserted. The fixing member groove (1111b) and the pressing groove (141) may be provided with fixing projections to more firmly fix the pressing member (311) and the fixing member (31), and the second bulkhead may also be provided with the same.

[0092] The clip (30) accordingly prevents the detachment prevention member (14) from detaching from the main body (10), thereby supporting the connector (20) more firmly, thereby improving the durability of the terminal block.
